When you think about it, a housewarming party is really just the after-party of the homebuying journey. And every after-party is better when it’s headlined by hip-hop legend T-Pain.
To prove it, UPROXX and Zillow threw an unforgettable move-in day celebration for first-time homebuyers Lex and Hannah, complete with a backyard pop-up concert featuring one of the world’s biggest rap icons. While the couple put down roots in their beloved hometown of Austin, TX, we put down a DIY dancefloor on their back lawn, building a stage worthy of a GRAMMY-winning artist and an intimate outdoor venue for the pair’s friends and family to enjoy. And when the vibes are this good, you’ve got to capture them.
In the video above, Lex and Hannah share how Zillow streamlined the home buying process so they could get to the life moments that really matter, like making memories with friends in your dream home while T-Pain performs in your backyard while your neighbors wonder if you’re somehow famous.
Stay tuned to this space to learn more about Lex and Hannah’s homebuying journey. This is just the beginning.
Mike Flanagan and Stephen King go together like the most horrific peanut butter and (probably grape) jelly imaginable. The former has adapted multiple works (Gerald’s Game, Doctor Sleep) written by the latter and wants to make The Dark Tower happen, too. Soon, however, he will be fully diving into The Exorcist reboot, but before that became a greenlit thing, Flanagan finished filming an adaptation of King’s The Life Of Chuck, which is based upon a King novella from his If It Bleeds collection.
The project stars Tom Hiddleston as Charles “Chuck” Krantz, and the cast includes Flanagan regulars Mark Hamill and Kate Siegel with David Dastmalchian, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Jacob Tremblay, Mia Sara, Matthew Lillard, and Heather Langenkamp also co-starring.
The Life Of Chuck links three separate stories, in reverse, to first reveal the main character’s death from a brain tumor and then scroll backward toward his earlier years growing up in a seemingly haunted house. This is also not a typical Stephen King story and aligns more tonally with Stand By Me and The Shawshank Redemption than The Shining or any of the dozens of other King film and TV adaptations. When can you watch the movie?
Following the film’s debut at TIFF, Deadline has reported that The Life Of Chuck was scooped up by Neon for distribution in theaters. Thus far, the indie house has only revealed that this life-affirming flick will surface in Summer 2025 for your popcorn-crunching satisfaction.
Fingers crossed for more precise details soon, though, because Flanagan has called this “a tenacious little miracle of a movie from the start & I’m forever indebted to this wonderful cast and crew. This film is deeply special to me, and I’m elated that it’s going to exist in the world.”

Happy Monday and welcome to the Crumbl Cookie Report. We hope you like soft cookies because four of the six cookies dropping this week are soft chews. I won’t lie, that doesn’t excite me. I won’t sit here and tell you I straight up don’t like soft cookies, a cookie is a cookie right? But who doesn’t love a little crunch and texture with their cookie? If I wanted something soft and sweet, I’d just eat cake.
Anyway, minor soft cookie rant over, let’s talk about the cookies. This week Crumbl is feeling the autumnal vibes so expect maple, cinnamon spices, and apple-forward flavors. This is the first week since I’ve been regularly covering Crumbl that the brand hasn’t dropped an Oreo-infused cookie — a change that we welcome!
I often feel like Crumbl relies too heavily on Oreo, and it can make the weekly cookie drops feel like they are short on variety. Luckily for us, that’s not the case this time around, so hopefully the lack of an Oreo cookie makes the brand’s inevitable return feel a bit more exciting. Enough talk, let’s dive into this week’s cookie ranking.
6. Maple Cream Sandwich
Thoughts & Tasting Notes:
The Maple Cream Sandwich really has nothing going for it. Visually, it’s bland, flavorwise, it’s unimaginative. I love maple, but this cookie falls flat for me. Between two soft, lightly vanilla-flavored shortbread cookies sits a smear of maple-flavored cream cheese frosting.
Even though maple is supposed to be the star of the show here, it’s a secondary note. What you’ll mostly taste is white sugar with a light maple finish. Skip this one.
The Bottom Line:
Bland city. Even if you’re a hardcore maplehead, this cookie will come across as boring.
5. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip
Thoughts & Tasting Notes:
This one has the makings of a great cookie — it’s heavily seasoned with a mix of pumpkin spice, very cinnamon and clove forward which is well complemented by semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Where it falls short is the texture of the cookie. It’s fluffy and soft. I think if this cookie had a bit more crunch it would be significantly more enjoyable.
The Bottom Line:
If you like soft-cake like cookies, you’ll like this. If you’re less into the soft chew, the admittedly delicious flavor isn’t enough to warrant a buy here.
4. Milk Chocolate Chip
Thoughts & Tasting Notes:
The milk chocolate chip hits the Crumbl menu bi-weekly. I prefer the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk, but this is a very good, no-frills chocolate chip cookie. Use your Crumbl in-app points to add this to your order.
The Bottom Line:
A classic. If you like milk chocolate, buttery, and brown sugar, this cookie won’t disappoint.
3. Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
Thoughts & Tasting Notes:
This is hands down my favorite peanut butter cookie from Crumbl. Every ingredient is in perfect balance here — the cookie features a semi-sweet cocoa-heavy base with a nutty and earthy smooth peanut butter topping with a drizzle of chocolate and crushed peanut butter cups for some added texture and flavor.
It’s a soft chew cookie, but I think it uses that texture well, helping each bute of the cookie come across as decadent and rich.
The Bottom Line:
Imagine an elevated Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and you’ve got a good idea of what this cookie tastes like. If you love peanut butter, this is a must-buy.
2. Tres Leches Cake
Thoughts & Tasting Notes:
I’ve been waiting for this one to return to the Crumbl menu for some time, and it does not disappoint! The Tresh Leches Cake consists of a fluffy, sweet, and delicately floral vanilla cake moistened with tres leches and topped with a sweet and airy whipped cream. The top is dusted with some cinnamon which is purely decorative, unfortunately.
I’d love to taste a bit more of the cinnamon but that’s a very small gripe toward an otherwise amazing cake loaf.
The Bottom Line:
If you haven’t tried Crumbl’s Tres Leches Cake, remedy that immediately. It’s one of the brand’s best drops, even though it didn’t take the top spot this time around.
1. Caramel Apple
Thoughts & Tasting Notes:
Maybe it’s the time of the season, or maybe it’s just because this isn’t a soft-chew cookie, but the Caramel Apple is our pick of the week. This cookie features a cinnamon base topped with cream cheese frosting, caramel drizzle, a dusting of streusel and crispy sour Granny Smith apples.
The apples provide a nice tart counterbalance to the subtle spice of the cinnamon, while the streusel adds a textural element that softens the crisp texture of the apple. Crumbl suggests you eat this cookie warm and I can confirm it tastes best in this state, though it’s also delicious once its cooled to room temperature too. You can’t go wrong here.
The Bottom Line:
Call me crazy, but I think this is even better than a slice of warm apple pie. The Caramel Apple is a must-buy and one of the best seasonally-themed flavors Crumbl has ever dropped.
According to TMZ, the pair “split up a few weeks ago” and are “possibly headed for divorce.” Censori has reportedly traveled to Australia by herself to spend time with her family. As for Ye, he’s been “telling people close to him he plans to live in Tokyo… and divorce Bianca.”
West and Censori (who started working for the rapper’s fashion brand, Yeezy, as an architectural designer in 2020) tied the knot in 2022 following his high-profile divorce from Kim Kardashian. But there’s been rumors of acrimony between the couple nearly ever since, including an alleged intervention staged by Censori’s friends.
“Her friends let her know exactly how they feel and they told her that she needs to wake the f*ck up,” a source told The Daily Mail. “She knows that she has shut out those close to her and she is also starting to see through the smoky mirrors of her marriage. She is aware of Kanye’s controlling ways and she is starting to see things from an outside perspective.”
The last time West and Censori were photographed together in public was in mid-September, when they visited a Tokyo supermarket. Since then, it’s been Kanye traveling solo through Japan.
New to the tracklist are “Shake Ah” featuring Tony Duardo, Optimist, and Maestro, as well as “Push 2 Start” and “Back To You.” Aside from that, it also features new album artwork.
New Jersey native Fousheé named her latest album after her grandfather’s land in Jamaica, and this autumn, she’ll bring Pointy Heights to the rest of the world on her first-ever headlining tour.
The former Uproxx cover star will perform songs like “Still Around” and “Feels Like Home” on the tour (presumably along with her Childish Gambino collaboration, “Runnin’ Around,” which appeared on the multihyphenate’s new album Bando Stone And The New World), which begins at the House Of Blues in Dallas, Texas on November 19, and runs through December 2 at the Echo in Los Angeles.
Tickets for the tour go on pre-sale on Wednesday, October 9th at 10 AM local time, with the general sale starting Friday, October 11th at 10 AM local time. You can find more information here, and see below for the full run of tour dates.

Variety reports that the “Von Dutch” singer will star in ERUPCJA, the Polish word for “eruption.” Directed by Pete Ohs, the film follows “two women with a combustible relationship,” played by Charli XCX and Lena Góra.
“The way he talked about making his films felt akin to making an album and the chance meeting also felt equivalent to the conversational and spontaneous nature of his film making,” Charli XCX wrote in an email to Variety about working with Ohs. “Our processes felt linked in some kind of way and it felt right and exciting to pursue some kind of collaboration.”
ERUPCJA also stars Jeremy O. Harris, who wasn’t surprised that the secret movie didn’t stay secret for long (thanks, Film Updates). “I had a gut feeling that our plan to keep it low key was going to be difficult,” he said. “And that was affirmed the first night I went out in Poland. We were staying at the Nobu Hotel, and that’s close to the queer section, so I walked over to a gay bar, and there was a sign advertising a Brat party.” They were filming the same week that Barack Obama revealed “365” was on his summer playlist.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) last night (October 6), Bryan wrote:
“Hey yall, I’m wrapping up the last night of my tour tonight and it’s been an amazing time. For that I am thankful.
I am posting tonight based on the ridiculous nature of the headlines I have read the last couple days from an interview on the Andy Cohen show I did this week when I was promoting my album. I feel in my heart I could not let media create a false narrative. As I read thru the comments of some of you I just want to say that I encourage all of you to listen to the interview instead of reading click bait headlines. You will hear my tone and intentions which were not negative. I respect Beyonce and I love how loyal her fans are. I spend a lot of time supporting other artists. I want everyone to win. Love yall.”
As for what Bryan actually said, he said in part, “Everybody loved that Beyoncé made a country album. Nobody’s mad about it, but where things get a little tricky — you know, if you’re gonna make country albums, come into our world and be country with us a little bit. Like, Beyoncé can do exactly what she wants to. She’s probably the biggest star in music. But come to an awards show and high-five us and have fun and get in the family, too. And I’m not saying she didn’t do that. I didn’t know. I had never seen [her]. But country music is a lot about family.”
With the NBA season just two weeks away from beginning, the league’s biggest network partner still has some major uncertainty in its NBA coverage team.
ESPN has still not announced their broadcast team plans for the 2024-25 season, as JJ Redick’s departure left a void on the top team alongside Mike Breen and Doris Burke. There are a handful of names on the potential replacement list for Redick, but going with a two-person team of Burke and Breen is also an option if they’d rather wait until TNT’s crews become free agents.
On the written and podcast side, ESPN stunned basketball fans when they laid off Zach Lowe, who is widely regarded as the best NBA writer and podcaster anywhere, which seemed to indicate their priorities will be on the TV side. They also are currently without a top newsbreaker after Adrian Wojnarowski’s sudden retirement to go work for his alma mater, St. Bonaventure. There were a handful of names floated to replace Woj, from internal candidates like Brian Windhorst to external options like Shams Charania or Chris Haynes.
Ultimately, ESPN opted to bring in the biggest name besides Woj in the world of NBA newsbreaking, hiring Charania to a new deal that will bring him on board, as his deal with The Athletic and Stadium were set to run up. Naturally, it was Shams who broke the news of his own signing.
I am honored to join ESPN as the company’s Senior NBA Insider. I can’t wait to be part of an incredible group of colleagues at ESPN and serve the sports audience worldwide. pic.twitter.com/sBDFGIpkb6
Charania was once Woj’s understudy at Yahoo before becoming his primary newsbreaking rival in recent years. Now, he takes over for Woj at ESPN and figures to be a regular on the network’s various NBA programming. There were a number of options ESPN was reportedly considering, including having some of their newsbreakers from other sports, like Jeff Passan and Adam Schefter, take on the NBA. That may have been some negotiating on their part to try and take some of Shams’ leverage away though, as he was always the clear top choice, and ultimately they brought him on board.
