ATLANTA — Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns pinned Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in the main event of WWE Bad Blood after a spear from Reigns on Sikoa.

Rhodes, in his return home, was welcomed by the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff band for his entrance.

While Reigns walked out to his own epic entrance.

After everyone made their way to the ring, Rhodes and Reigns deliberated on who would start the match, giving way to Rhodes to face off against Fatu. After a quick lockup and a bit of action in the ring, Fatu tagged in Sikoa and Rhodes obliged the audience’s pleas and brought in Reigns. Reigns worked Sikoa around the ring before a distraction from Fatu gave him the upper hand.

Reigns made the hot tag to Rhodes, who hit the ring and took advantage of Fatu. Rhodes set up for Cross Rhodes, but a distraction from Sikoa gave an opening for Fatu to turn the tables. Fatu and Sikoa took their turns working over the champ, tagging in and out and keeping Rhodes away from his corner. Just as Rhodes was about to make the tag, Fatu pulled Reigns from the apron.

When Rhodes finally made it to his corner, Reigns exploded in to attack Sikoa. Reigns set up for the Superman Punch, which Sikoa tried to reverse into the Samoan Spike. Reigns set up for the spear, but Fatu pulled him back. Fatau hit a moonsault, Sikoa hit a splash, and Rhodes broke up the pinfall attempt. On the outside. Rhodes took apart the announce table before he tossed Fatu through the barricade. On the outside, Rhodes hit Cross Rhodes on Fatu, then superkicked him onto the announce table. Rhodes climbed to the top rope and saluted Reigns before splashing Fatu through the table.

Reigns and Sikoa butted heads in the ring, battling on their knees as they made their way to their feet. As Reigns set up for the spear, the Bloodline hit the ring and distracted him. Sikoa hit a rolling spear for two. Jimmy Uso showed up behind Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa before Reigns hit a spear for three. After the match, Reigns and Uso embraced.

After the mach, the Bloodline jumped Rhodes when Reigns and Jimmy made the save. As Reigns and Rhodes glanced at the title, The Rock hit the entrance ramp and stared them down.

Rhodes and Reigns joined forces after the latter returned at SummerSlam to help the champion retain his belt. The unlikely duo came together against this next iteration of the Bloodline, led by Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

A week ago, Alabama jumped all over Georgia in Tuscaloosa, taking a 21-0 first quarter lead and fought off a furious rally from the Bulldogs to get a massive win at home over the second-ranked Dawgs, earning the No. 1 ranking in the country in the process.

This week, they were in Nashville as more than three touchdown favorites against Vanderbilt, but very quickly found themselves in another dog fight as the Commodores jumped out to a 13-0 lead after marching for a TD on their first drive and getting a pick-six on a tipped ball on Alabama’s first possession.

Alabama’s offense would settle in after that, but their defense never got the Commodores figured out, as Diego Pavia — who became a darling of college football fan’s a year ago when he led New Mexico State to a win over Auburn — continued his reign over the state of Alabama, now with Vanderbilt. Pavia pitched a near-perfect game under center, going 16-of-20 for 252 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 57 yards on 19 carries, as he and the Dores offense marched up and down the field on Alabama to shock the Tide and win the game 40-35.

It was Vandy’s first win ever against a top-ranked team, and it was far from a flukey performance. Pavia and the offense were spectacular, and they played like a team freed up from expectations. The defining moment of the ballgame came in the third quarter as Alabama had pulled to within two and it looked like the Dores might be fading. On 4th and 1, Vanderbilt went for it and, rather than running it, they had Pavia throw deep and he connected for a 35-yard touchdown pass to put Vandy back up by nine, signaling this might be the real deal.

Jalen Milroe and Ryan Williams nearly created enough explosive plays to get Alabama back in front, but down five early in the fourth quarter, Milroe got strip-sacked by the Vandy defense near midfield to flip the advantage back in the Commodores favor.

Vandy would march for another touchdown after that to go up 12 and, while Alabama would score again to cut the deficit to five, the Tide just could not stop Pavia and the offense, who iced the game with a perfect 4-minute drill to bleed out the clock and put knees on a stunning win.

According to reports, Swizz Beatz’s money is looking funny. The famed producer, Verzuz co-founder, and loving husband to Alicia Keys has supposedly been named in an international fraud scandal.

Based on a lawsuit filing obtained by AllHipHop, Swizz Beatz received a whooping sum of $7.3 million in stolen funds connected to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal (often referred to as 1MDB).

In the paperwork, it alleged that Swizz Beatz (real named Kasseem Dean) was tied back to Jho Low as far back as the 2010s. “As the 1MDB Fraud was underway, Jho Low became a well-known figure in the Hollywood scene and developed a reputation as a businessman with deep pockets and a penchant for hosting lavish, star-studded parties and group vacations,” reads the suit. “Throughout the early 2010s, Low befriended many U.S. celebrities including Dean and his wife Alicia Keys. Between September 21, 2012 and September 4, 2014, Jho Low and/or Eric Tan caused the debtors to transfer $7,300,000 to defendants and, during that same time period, the debtors did not receive any money back from the defendants or any other consideration from the defendants in exchange for the fraudulent transfers.”

The breakdown of funds supposedly sent to Dean include, a $1.5 million payment to Swizz Beatz Productions Inc. in September 2012 as well as a $1 million then additional $800,000 transfer deployed in October 2012 by Alsen Chance. In addition to that, Dean’s Monza Studios is accused of receiving $800,000 in November 2013 and $1 million in December 2013 from Affinity sent $800,000 to Swizz Beatz’s Monza Studios in November 2013 and $1 million in December 2013. Outside of that, the filing alleged that Dean was personally sent $500,000 in June 2014, $300,000 in July 2014 and $1.4 million in September 2014.

Now, liquidators are seeking damages in the amount of $3.3 million from Swizz Beatz Productions, $1.8 million from Monza Studios, and then $2.2 million from Dean himself. The filer is also demanding that Dean cover attorneys’ fees and other court costs. Swizz Beatz has not yet addressed the lawsuit.

In April 2023, Pras Michel (of hip-hop trio Fuguees) was found guilty of several counts of money laundering in connection with the scandal. Despite his conviction, Michel maintains his innocence.

Even after cancelling several show dates, Blink-182’s time on the road isn’t over just yet. So, according to reporters Travis Barker is looking to tighten the security around his home.

In a report published by TMZ, the outlet claimed Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian have submitted a request to have police patrols around their marital property increased with the local precinct.

Although a source claims the reality TV couple isn’t worried about any current threats, past frightening encounters with trespassers has Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian exploring every preventable measure open to them. The pair share three homes all of which are in the state of California (a beachfront property in Carpinteria purchased by the couple in 2022, Kardashian’s home prior to the marriage, as well as Barker’s both in Calabasas).

With multiple properties in Southern California, it is believed that the need for additional police presence applies solely to their main family home, Barker’s 7,196-square-foot Mediterranean-style mansion. Barker and Kardashian’s blended family includes Barker’s daughter Alabama, son Brandon, Kardashian’s sons Mason & Reign, and daughter Penelope, in addition to their nearly 1-year-old together.

A law enforcement insider explained that while the request might seem farfetched to the public, any request can make the same to their jurisdictional police department and should resources be available they would try their best to accommodate it.

Rick Ross made it a quippy line. Metro Boomin crafted the bass heavy instrumental. But Fashion Nova turned BBL Drizzy into a hilarious Halloween costume accessory.

On October 3, the online fashion retailer gained traction when fans of the “It’s Up” rapper noticed the not so subtle dig at Drake. However, as of today (October 5), the listing has been updated. The previous viral images of a Fashion Nova model dressed similarly to a For All The Dogs promotional image (down to the colorful hair accessories) have been removed from the website.

For clarity, the item available for purchase through Fashion Nova was a nude colored butt pad costume accessory. However, to give shoppers an idea of how to incorporate the practical joke piece into their Halloween plans, the brand drew back to Drake’s likeness and the now infamous back-and-forth with Metro Boomin.

Fashion Nova hasn’t released a formal statement stating why they took down the photos. But that hasn’t stopped users online for speculating about it. Both potential libel and intellectual property violation lawsuits topped the lists of Drizzy fans. But Drake himself hasn’t issued a public response to the matter.

Still, he isn’t the only celebrity-inspired Halloween costume offered. A get up mirroring elements of Beyoncé’s Renaissance and Cowboy Carter album element also picked up viral stem for other reasons.

Back in September, Cardi B announced the birth of her third child with estranged husband Offset. Shortly after, Cardi B hit the gym before dominating 2024 Paris Fashion Week.

Many supporters praised Cardi B for her unbelievable postpartum transformation. However, others began to allege that the Grammy winner’s curvy figure was due to her undergoing new cosmetic procedures. Today (October 5), Cardi B clapped back at the postpartum plastic surgery rumors.

Over on X (formerly Twitter), Cardi B slammed a troll for body-shaming her after she uploaded a video online. “Y’all really need to relax,” she wrote. “This is how my body REALLY LOOKS LIKE. My body looks exaggerated in the other video cause I have a 5X faja on. I want y’all to think with y’all brain. Y’all were just praising my body couple days ago. Do y’all think I went and got surgery in 2 days?”

Cardi B’s love for fajas (body-shaping garments) is the latest viral TikTok sound. While discussing her post-delivery plans, Cardi B laughed about how her younger sister, Hennessy Carolina, would be responsible for placing the garment on her moments after delivery.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time Cardi B has pushed back against the same accusation. After the birth of her son Wave in 2021, the “Like What” rapper slammed users online for suggesting she sneakily went under the knife. While, Cardi B has been opened about her past surgical work she insists her physique has nothing to do with a recent procedure.

Other celebrities including Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Kash Doll have all in some way addressed the pressure placed on women entertainers to quickly “snapback” to their former figure after giving birth.

Following the cinematic success of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Tim Burton and Jenna Ortega went back to work on the second Wednesday season for Netflix. Unfortunately, our favorite Outcast will not join us for this year’s spooky season, but the series is making serious progress on bringing Nevermore Academy back to TV screens with arguably the most celebrated outsider who has conquered the four quadrants, and the fact that is happening with Burton’s TV debut is even more (loathsome and) delicious.

Indeed, the first wretched outing of “Little Storm Cloud” (credit to Gomez) still sits atop Netflix’s Top 10 series (English) in streaming TV history, which proves that misery thrives in company, so let’s not waste any more horrible time in rolling out the latest clues on what’s in store from our destructive and dour heroine or as she looks toward her next mystery:

Plot

No doubt existed that Wednesday would return for more morose madness when the show took off like a shot in November 2022. Fortunately, Tim Burton knows (as with the aforementioned Beetlejuice sequel) that certain things must be kept constant with sequels, so it’s a relief that Ortega has assured Netflix viewers that Wednesday “never really changes,” yet although she still will never blink, there will be substantial changes to the series in the second season after the resolution of the Hyde mystery.

For starters, filming moved from Romania to Ireland, where (as recently revealed to Screenrant by action-unit director Vic Armstrong), filming is “two-thirds of the way through, and having a great time.” Next up, Wednesday will learn to develop more human connection, which will largely revolve around her relationship with Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), who will be growing more accustomed to her daughter’s abilities. And showrunner Al Gough told Hollywood Reporter that Wednesday will also perhaps edge even further into being comfortable with female friendship after taking the big leap of hugging.

From there, expect a new central mystery for Detective Wednesday and further threats for Nevermore Academy, but not everything will be so serious (even though it is). In a new behind-the-scenes video from Netflix, Wednesday is shown playing with dolls in her own special way (with a knife) before showing off more fleeting “twisted” glimpses with Ortega declaring, “If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed … I’m not that generous.” We do, however, receive a peek at the show’s newly built sets in Ireland. Luis Guzman’s Gomez is here with the “little storm cloud” greeting, and Emma Meyers greets the world in a pre-Enid moment from the makeup chair.

Additionally, both Ortega and Meyers gave Wednesday and Enid their own spin on a viral TikTok trend with the stony-faced Ortega in costume. Fortunately, those two patched things up near the tail end of the first season, so more roommate misery can continue unabated.

Ortega has also moved into producing for this second season, and she promises more “horror” in this season along with (as relayed by Vanity Fair) a new “thing now where Wednesday just kind of appears. She is a little bit of a jump scare herself.” The horror vibes will be strong as the show takes a turn into alluding to an Edgar Allan Poe short story, “The Masque of the Red Death,” but don’t expect this to take the same turn as Mike Flanagan’s recent The Fall Of The House Of Usher interpretation of that story because, as Ortega reminds everybody, “[T]here’s six-year-olds watching.”

Jenna Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzman will return as Wednesday, Morticia, and Gomez Addams, respectively. Fred Armisen is presumably busy filming his Uncle Fester spin off and does not appear on this season’s roster, but Thing is back, and we will meet a so-far unseen member of the fam, who will hopefully be Cousin Itt. Thank goodness that Emma Meyers is back as Enid, and several actors join the cast this season. They include Owen Painter, Evie Templeton, Billie Piper, and Noah Taylor while those leaving regular-cast status include Percy Hynes, White, Naomi J Ogawa, and Jamie McShane.

Speaking of Percy Hynes White’s absence following sexual assault allegations, Ortega has remarked that this led to “a weird redirect, but we’re introducing so many different characters that I think it kind of will get lost.”

Will we also see a new principal at Nevermore Academy? That would be Steve Buscemi with Gwendoline Christie’s administrator out of the picture.

Release Date

Wednesday will hate every moment of her 2025 return. Netflix has yet to warn the world of her specific arrival date.

Brat summer has briskly transitioned into Brat autumn. Charli XCX’s pop culture phenomenon brought forward by her most recent studio album will expand its grab on fans with yet another body of work.

Yesterday (October 4), the “Talk Talk” singer finally decided to address the Brat-themed billboards miraculous popping up around the world. On her official X (formerly Twitter) page, Charli XCX confirmed that each of the names seen plastered on the advertisements will serve as featured artists on her upcoming project.

“Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat featuring..,” she wrote sharing an image array of each spotted billboard.

Although the entire tracklist of Charli XCX’s Brat And It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat has yet to be revealed, supporters have a clearer picture about Charli XCX’s collaborative partners. In addition to the previously teased appearances from Ariana Grande, The 1975, Tinashe, and Bon Iver, several others will contribute to the forthcoming release. According to the images shared by Charli XCX, Addison Rae, A.G. Donald Glover wanted to retire his musical moniker, Childish Gambino, on a high note. Unfortunately, things haven’t worked out that way for the “Lithonia” musician.

Yesterday (October 4), Childish Gambino made the “difficult decision” to cancel the remaining dates on his The New World Tour to tend to a medical emergency.

Back on September 8, Childish Gambino announced the postponement of his scheduled show at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas citing illness. But in a post uploaded to X (formerly Twitter), Childish Gambino shared what went into that decision after a successful show the day prior at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to make sure of an ailment that had become apparent. After being assessed, it became clear I would not perform that night, and after more tests, I could not perform the rest of the US tour in the time asked. As of now I have surgery scheduled and need time out to heal.

My path to recovery is something I need to confront seriously. With that said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour and the UK and European dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.

I want nothing more than to bring this show to the fans and perform. Until then, thanks for love, privacy, and support.

Steven Knight devotees know that he’s currently hard at work on the Peaky Blinders movie, which began filming this week. We don’t know when Tommy Shelby and his fam will grace TV screens again as set in World War II, but before Cillian Murphy is swaggering through Small Heath again, Knight’s mind has already produced another gangster series that has finished production on a first season. After all, if the man who embodies Tommy can have multiple projects coming at once, so can one of his key collaborators.

A Thousand Blows will, much like Peaky Blinders, be based upon the lives and times of a historically reigning gang with what sounds like realer-life figures (sorry, Tommy Shelby, but you weren’t real) central to the story. As Knight describes in a press release, this new series “is based on the lives of real people who lived extraordinary lives in extraordinary times.” He added, “The love and care that went into this thrilling production is evident on screen from the first moment,” so let’s unfurl that old-new gang and what to expect.

Plot

A Thousand Blows springs from screenplays written by Knight, who created and executive produces the series that presents characters “embroiled in an epic fight for power in Victorian London.” More specifically, the show is “set in the perilous world of illegal boxing in 1880s Victorian London,” and if you are thinking about a certain Peaky Blinders boxing match, you are not alone.

Essential to that endeavor in this series will be Stephen Graham, who will surely keep everybody thinking even more about Peaky Blinders, although his new character will be quite different than his disarming (to Arthur Shelby) Hayden Stagg. Hulu has released some photos of key characters, but first, Hulu has provided a series description:

Malachi Kirby [stars] as Hezekiah Moscow [who] finds himself thrust into the vibrant and violent melting pot of post-industrial revolution London’s East End from Jamaica. Drawn into the criminal underbelly of the thriving boxing scene, he meets Mary Carr, played by Erin Doherty, leader of The Forty Elephants – the notorious all-female London gang – as they battle for survival on the streets. As Hezekiah sharpens his new skills, he comes up against Sugar Goodson, played by Stephen Graham, a seasoned and dangerous boxer and the two are soon locked into an intense rivalry that spills out way beyond the ring.
