So far this year, Nicole Kidman has starred in a Netflix movie and two streaming TV shows, Prime Video’s Expats and Netflix’s The Perfect Couple. But she’ll soon return to where she belongs: the big screen.

A24’s erotic thriller Babygirl stars Kidman as high-powered CEO Romy, who puts her career and family on the line when she begins an affair with her much younger intern Samuel, played by Harris Dickinson (The Iron Claw). “I tell you what to do,” Samuel says about the rules for their extracurricular activities, “and you do it.” Babygirl looks really good, and really sexy.

Kidman spoke to Vanity Fair about the film, which was written and directed by Halina Reijn. “At some point I was like, I don’t want to be touched. I don’t want to do this anymore, but at the same time I was compelled to do it. [Reijn] would hold me and I would hold her, because it was just very confronting to me,” she said. “It’s like, ‘Golly, I’m doing this, and it’s actually now going to be seen by the world.’ That’s a very weird feeling. This is something you do and hide in your home videos. It is not a thing that normally is going to be seen by the world.” Kidman called it her most “exposing” movie to date.

Babygirl also stars Sophie Wilde and Antonio Banderas. It opens in theaters on December 25, as does Nosferatu and A Complete Unknown, and it’s only a few days after Mufasa: The Lion King. It’s going to be a weird Christmas!

It turns out Wack 100‘s claim was Kendrick Lamar and Drake was, in fact, wack. The music manager alleged in a livestream over the weekend that the Canadian rapper filed a cease-and-desist order in order to prevent Lamar from performing his chart-topping diss track “Not Like Us” at the Super Bowl. “He’s trying to get the NFL to restrict Kendrick,” Wack 100 added.

According to Rolling Stone, that’s not the case. Drake’s rep told the publication that the rumor is “not true,” while another source added that “there was never any intention or plan to send a cease and desist to anyone.”

This isn’t the first time the words “cease” and “desist” have come up in their fund. In “euphoria,” Lamar claimed that Drake tried to take down Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” which features a verse from the halftime show performer. “Try cease and desist on the ‘Like That’ record? / Ho, what? You ain’t like that record? / ‘Back To Back,’ I like that record / I’ma get back to that, for the record,” he rapped. Drake fired back in “Family Matters,” saying, “A cease and desist is for hoes, can’t listen to lies that come out of your mouth / You called the Tupac estate and begged ’em to sue me and get that sh*t down.”

Super Bowl LIX will be played on February 9, 2025.

At the moment, Britney Spears is working on, in her words, “a fictional musical where I play an extremely intelligent character.” Hopefully her singed eyebrows didn’t get in the way of that.

As Billboard notes, in a now-deleted video shared on Instagram yesterday (September 30), Spears explained the situation (in a British accent), which happened about six months ago. She said:

“I was in my room and I turned the fire on and, all of a sudden, it blew up in my face. It’s done it before, and the times it’s done it before, I quit, so I always get my security to come in and light it for me, because I was scared it was going to blow up.

But this time, I just threw the whole thing in there, and it blew into into my face and took all my eyelashes off and my eyebrows, and see this baby hair? These baby bangs? This is from six months ago. It fizzled all my hair. The person I was with would not wake up, and I thought I’d have to go to the emergency room because my face was on fire.”

Ultimately, though, Spears says she ended up just taking some Tylenol pills and going to sleep. She concluded, “All is good now. It happens.”

According to Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin is ready to gracefully bow out of music. But not just yet.

During a chat with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, the “Everglow” musician announced the band’s retirement plan.

As the duo chatted about Coldplay’s forthcoming album, Moon Music, Martin dropped the bombshell. “We are only going to do 12 proper albums and that’s real,” he said. “Yeah, I promise.”

In case that went over your head, Martin quite casually confirmed that Coldplay’s hard musical stop is 12 studio albums. While that may seem far away, Moon Music, which is due out on October 4 marks Coldplay’s 10th album.

Martin went on to explain the reasoning for the decision, saying: “Because less is more and for some of our critics, even less would be even more! It’s really important that we have that limit. There’s only seven Harry Potters. There’s only 12 and a half Beatles albums, there’s about the same for Bob Marley, so all our heroes.”

Most wouldn’t consider 12 albums to be “less.” Frankly, it is not even standard for most act. Still, for Coldplay their standards are much higher than the average artist.

Martin ended with a note about Coldplay’s mission as musicians. “Also, having that limit means the quality control is so high right now and for a song to make it,” he said. “It’s almost impossible, which is great. And so where we could be coasting, we’re trying to improve.”

What happens when a brat meets a nasty girl? I don’t know. But fans of Charli XCX and Tinashe thinks the public will learn some enough. According to supporter-fueled speculation, the two singers are coming together for a mysterious Brat remix album.

In photos captured by avid Charli XCX listeners (viewable here, courtesy of Pop Base), a billboard themed after her Brat album has appeared with Tinashe’s name, which kicked off the online frenzy.

But the rumored treated supposedly doesn’t end there. Users also spotted a similar billboard spelling Bon Iver was seen (viewable here). Back in August, Charli XCX hinted to Vulture that she had another new full length “a brand new version” of Brat was tucked away, but brushed off the idea of it being a remix.

“It’s definitely in the bratosphere, so to speak,” she said.

However, given that Charli XCX consider lying “so brat,” fans aren’t exactly going to rule it out entirely.

None of the suspected parties involved have confirmed any fan theories. The latest update from Charli XCX shared that a new project could be released as earlier as October 11.

So, if Saturday Night Live could deliver a Brat-themed political talk show starring Bowen Yang, Charli XCX can certainly fulfill supporters’ wish for an even more dance friendly remix album of Brat.

At no point during the first 55 minutes of Monday night’s game between the Titans and Dolphins did it feel like Under 37.5 bettors were going to be at risk of losing. A game that started with Will Levis and Snoop Huntley trading dreadful turnovers finished the first half with a 9-3 score on four field goals, with neither offense ever really threatening the end zone.

The Titans offense did manage to find pay dirt in the third quarter, but even after things opened up and more field goals were traded, it was 22-6 with five minutes to play, giving the Under a pretty healthy cushion in a game that had only seen one touchdown all night. And then, disaster struck in the form of a scoring flurry. Huntley ran in Miami’s first touchdown of the game with 3:36 to play, and after a swift 3-and-out from the Titans took only a minute off the clock, Huntley threw the ball away in his own end zone on the first play of the ensuing drive for a safety, putting the score at 24-12, perilously close to the number.

However, things still should’ve been fine until the Dolphins opted for an onside kick from their own 20 on the safety kick and committed a penalty on the play because no one really understands the new onside kick rules, giving Tennessee the ball on the 10 with 2:27 to play. Anyone with the Under could do the math to know they couldn’t fully run out the clock, meaning pain was almost assuredly on the way.

After three runs only moved the ball six yards, there was hope when the Titans lined up to go for it on 4th and goal rather than kicking a field goal. Surely, they’d just run the ball one more time, providing hope that Miami could muster up one more stop. They could not.

Tony Pollard bounced a run outside and no one from Miami could beat him to the pylon to prevent the second touchdown of the night for the Titans, pushing the game Over the total. Losing an under in a game where the two teams combined for 428 total yards of offense (and just 180 combined passing yards) is brutal. All you needed was a normal onside kick to get recovered by Tennessee to give them enough room to just get a first down and run out the clock. Instead, you got a Tony Pollard run in your eyehole to give you one more taste of defeat from Week 4.

The Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks met on Monday night in a big-time battle of top teams in the NFC so far this season, and it didn’t take long for the Lions to make an early statement. Detroit jumped on top of Seattle 14-0, and while the Seahawks would battle back, they struggled to keep the Lions offense in check throughout the game.

Detroit established the running game early, setting a physical tone that they maintained throughout the game, even as they shifted more of their balance to the passing attack. In the third quarter, David Montgomery exemplified that physical attack with one of the best individual efforts of the year in the NFL, catching a check down from Jared Goff and laying out Seahawks DB Devon Witherspoon with a vicious truck stick, as Witherspoon attempted to put a big hit on the Lions running back.

15 years ago, this would’ve led a “JACKED UP!” segment next Monday night, but even in today’s NFL we can appreciate this kind of collision that’s just good football, as they go (mostly) shoulder to shoulder. Montgomery goes on to continue his incredible effort by shaking off more defenders and bouncing it across to the opposite side of the field for a 40-yard gain, and maybe my favorite thing on the play is that Witherspoon pops up and is one of the ones chasing him down to force him out of bounds.

The Lions would cash that effort from Montgomery in for another touchdown to extend their lead back to 14, as the two teams went back-and-forth scoring points in the third quarter in an incredible offensive display.

Texas police’s search for “All My Life” rapper Lil Reese is over.

According to TMZ, on September 17, an arrest warrant for a domestic incident was issued for Lil Reese (real name Tavares Taylor). Today (September 30), the outlet revealed Lil Reese was formally arrested and charged for aggravated assault of a family or household member.

Earlier in the month, Lil Reese was accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend inside of Houston, Texas nightclub, The Pinkhouse. However, at the time of the alleged attacked, authorities were unable to take Lil Reese into custody. Since then, he was supposedly on the run well until yesterday.

Sources told TMZ that Lil Reese that was detained while at The Address, another popular hot spot in Houston. The same insider said officers were “already at the club,” as to suggest they weren’t called there specifically for Lil Reese but rather “caught wind” of his “presence.”

Although witnesses of the allege altercation confidently claim it was indeed Lil Reese who supposedly punched and strangled his ex-girlfriend he maintains his innocence.

In a statement provided to TMZ, Lil Reese’s attorney Carl Moore addressed the alleged incident. “Mr. Taylor vehemently denies these false accusations,” he said. “We look forward to his day in court.”

Based on the arrest record obtained by TMZ, Lil Reese was denied bond.

What is considered out of bounds for a rock star? Well, fans of Foo Fighters have drawn a line in the moral sand. On September 10, the “Times Like Theses” musicians’ frontman Dave Grohl announced that he fathered a daughter outside of his marriage to director and actress Jordyn Blum.

Although many supporters have vowed to turn away from the band, others including Slipknot’s Corey Taylor have extended him grace. During his recent appearance on Your Mom’s House podcast, Taylor came to Grohl’s defense.

When asked about the situation by host and married comedian duo Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky, Taylor wanted others to remember no one is without flaw. “Obviously, it’s very irresponsible,” he said. “I know there are a lot of disappointed fans out there because of the image he’s developed. But I have to remind people that we’re not perfect. He was one of the last people to really have that image. This happening does not mean he’s not a nice person, because I happen to know him as a person. It means he’s got f*cking issues and he f*cked up. He’s not perfect.”

Taylor then turned his attention to those directly impacted by the news, Grohl’s family, saying: “It is going to be very difficult for his family. I’m not gonna make any assumptions about why or how it happened. I’m sober, but at the same time, I’ve gone through my own sh*t. Did he do something horrible? Yes. But if that’s the one thing that defines him, then what the f*ck are we doing? It’s disappointing.”

The Tennessee Titans came into Week 4 as one of three teams winless on the season. The Bengals finally got a win on Sunday, while the Jaguars dropped to 0-4, giving the Titans a chance to move out of last place in the AFC South if they could beat the reeling Dolphins in Miami on Monday Night Football.

One of the big problems for the Titans has been turnovers, as quarterback Will Levis led the NFL with eight giveaways coming into Monday night. Some of those have been breathtakingly bad, headlined by his pick-6 to lose to the Bears in Week 1. Every week, Levis seems to invent new ways to give the ball to the other team, and it didn’t take long on Monday night for him to present his first gift to the Dolphins.

After crossing midfield on the Titans opening drive, Levis dropped back and threw a ball directly at Dolphins defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah, who was dropping into coverage. Now, being a lineman, Ogbah doesn’t have the best hands and has his wrists heavily taped, so the ball bounced off his hands and, in the moment, looked like it might fall incomplete. However, Ogbah somehow pinned the ball between his thighs before it got to the ground and got a hand underneath to maintain control and get the pick in an unbelievable effort.

It’s pretty incredible how these things happen to Levis, but luckily for him, the Dolphins are also extremely bad at offense right now as they’re on their third quarterback — Snoop Huntley, who they elevated from the practice squad this week — after Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion in Week 2. On the ensuing drive, the Dolphins worked it into Tennessee territory before Huntley threw a backwards pass that Tyreek Hill couldn’t handle, and despite a half-hearted effort to swat the ball out of bounds, Arden Key scooped it up for the Titans.

It took a review to call it a fumble and Titans ball, which saved the Dolphins 7 points as Key would’ve been able to house that had it not been blown dead on the field. The bizarre first quarter continued on the Titans next drive when Levis injured his throwing shoulder diving for a first down (which he was not given), leading to Mason Rudolph coming into the game for the Titans.
