Next week, a new Love Island will premiere globally. Months ago, many expected it to be the show’s winter series, but rumors suggested that something different was in store. Those rumors proved to be true as ITV announced Love Island: All Stars. They promised to bring back some of the most beloved islanders from past Love Island series for a new and exciting season.

With the premiere date nearing, here’s everything you need to know about the first season of Love Island: All Stars.

Release Date

Love Island: All Stars season 1 begins on Monday, January 15 at 9 pm GMT/4 pm EST/1 pm PST. The season begins less than two months after Love Island Games came to an end and less than six months after Love Island series 10 concluded.

Plot

You can mostly expect the same Love Island drama in Love Island: All Stars season 1. There will be controversial challenges, surprising bombshells, and shocking dumpings. However, there will not be Casa Amor this year as Love Island’s Executive Producer Mike Spencer revealed in an interview with The Mirror. “We have got to be reactive,” he began. “These islanders have done it all before so we have to be one step ahead of them. This give us the chance to shake it up and bring new islanders into the mix in new ways.”

Spencer added, “We have four hidden single beds in the lounge, so make of that what you will.”

Another change that’s in order for Love Island: All Stars season 1 is the length of the season. Rather than the usual eight weeks worth of episodes that can be expected in a Love Island season, Love Island: All Stars season 1 will only air for five weeks.

“Casa Amor, as we know and love it, doesn’t really work for a five week run because you need time to bed in, get to know each other, see if they are for you and if you want to switch it up,” Spencer said. “I think you don’t need the element of bringing a massive influx of new islanders in. That is good for an eight week run but you don’t need it for this. This is going to be more intense and people will fall for each other quicker.”

This Thursday, January 11 at 10 a.m. ET, the presale for Boston Calling will open, and fans can use their codes to purchase tickets from there.

A three-day general admission pass for this year starts at $360. The GA+ pass is $599 and includes lounge access with a private bar. One step up from there is the VIP pass, which starts at $1,099. Those who purchase will have VIP lounge access, air-conditioned restrooms, exclusive viewing areas, a concierge, and more.

Finally, the Platinum tier starts at $2,799. This year is a first, where those who purchase this pass will get front-of-stage access on the Green stage and a complimentary bar.

Here’s a fun trivia question for your friends: name the Academy Award nominee who nearly died from flesh-eating disease? If someone guesses Barry Keoghan, it’s probably because they saw the answer in the headline of this blog. That friend is a dirty cheat.

GQ spoke to the Saltburn actor (who was up for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars for his sweetly tragic performance in last year’s The Banshees of Inisherin) among many things, including “flirting” with co-star Jacob Elordi. “We were constantly close,” he said. “It ain’t just for the cameras and the premiere[s]. Me and Jacob — he’s like a brother to me, honestly. I think when you’re comfortable with someone, you can be as close as you want, you know what I mean? It’s not like, ‘Oh, don’t come near me.’ It’s like, I’m comfortable. When I’m comfortable around people, I’m comfy.”

The profile also reveals that Keoghan nearly died from flesh-eating disease.

Keoghan peels off his shirt, revealing a slightly pale, compactly muscled chest and the gnarly scar tissue that winds its way up his arm like a snake tattoo. A souvenir from a case of necrotizing fasciitis, a.k.a. flesh-eating disease, he caught a few years ago, right before The Banshees of Inisherin started shooting. One in five cases are fatal; amputation, he says, was on the table. He remembers saying to the doctors, “But I’m not gonna die, right?” and the doctors saying, “Well, we don’t know.”

Martin McDonagh, who directed Keoghan on The Banshees of Inisherin, said, “He seemed to shrug it off. We were only about four days out from shooting, and his arm was puffed up. But he was like, ‘Yeah, no, I’m going to be fine — I’ll see you on Tuesday.’ I went to the hospital thinking, sh*t, is he going to die? Let alone, is he going to make the movie. But I came out of there energized and looking forward to it.”

Look, if I survived being diagnosed with something informally known as “flesh-eating disease,” I would live every day like it was my last. Which explains the grave humping.

Martin Scorsese’s latest masterpiece, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Robert de Niro, and A Big Hat Worn By Jesse Plemons, has that fun Academy Award buzz, so now is the time to fully invest in the 3+ hour film, which can currently be bought or rented on Apple TV+.

As for streaming, Killers of the Flower Moon will be available to Apple TV+ subscribers (as part of their streaming package) on Friday, January 12th. The streamer announced the date with a heartwarming photo of Scorcese and DiCaprio looking like long-lost BFFs catching up:

The Indiana Pacers saw their worst nightmare come to life on Monday night in their win over the Celtics when star guard Tyrese Haliburton slipped into a split and was in considerable pain, needing to be carried off of the court by his teammates.

In the moment, it looked as though the leading All-Star vote-getter among East guards was going to be sidelined for a long time, but an MRI on Tuesday revealed about the best news possible for Haliburton and the Pacers. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Haliburton suffered just a Grade 1 hamstring strain, which will put him on the shelf for two weeks before being reevaluated, but he avoided a significant, long-term injury.

Now, any hamstring injury comes with the caveat that they can linger and tend to get aggravated easier if you come back a bit too soon, but if the Pacers and Haliburton can be patient letting it heal fully, he should be able to return to the court and, hopefully, avoid any issues the rest of the season. The Pacers are currently tied with the Magic, Heat, Knicks, and Cavs at 21-15 and one would expect them to slip some in the standings without their star guard, but if they can tread water they’ll stay within reach of a top-6 spot in the East when he’s able to return. Two weeks would be an 8-game absence for Haliburton, but that’s just when he’s being reevaluated so it could be more like 10-12 games they’ll have to navigate without the league’s leading assist man.

Tickets for Bonnaroo 2024 aren’t currently on sale yet. Given they just revealed the acts playing there, the festival is having interested attendees sign up via their website for a presale passcode. The presale then opens this Thursday, January 11 at 11 a.m. ET.

Right now, the 4-day General Admission pass starts at $420, with no hidden fees. However, Bonnaroo’s website also encourages people to buy the presale before the price increases.

The next tier up is GA+, which starts at $695. This includes unlimited access to the Centeroo GA+ lounge that has air-conditioned restrooms. There is also a private bar and food for purchase, along with a concierge service.

VIP passes start at $1000, giving even more perks. This tier includes a special viewing area, invites to VIP parties during the festival, and more.

After directing 2021’s The Suicide Squad, James Gunn made the surprising creative decision to launch a spinoff series focused on John Cena’s Peacemaker. Even more surprising, it was a huge hit. The show became a viral sensation when it arrived on HBO Max (now just Max) and viewers were here fore Cena’s multi-faceted performance as the wildly ultra-violent superhero with a heart of gold.

However, it’s been two years since Peacemaker Season 1 and fans are clamoring for another round with the shiny-domed weirdo and his even weirder best friend Vigilante. The good news is Season 2 has been confirmed. The bad news is there’s going to a bit of a wait. In the meantime, here’s everything we know so far:

Plot

After the explosive Peacemaker Season 1 finale, a lot has changed in the live-action DC Comics world. James Gunn became the new head of DC Studios and is currently tackling the flagship film, Superman: Legacy, which will kickstart an all-new DC Universe. Considering Peacemaker was deeply ensconced in the old DC Extended Universe — the season finale even included a Justice League cameo — Season 2 will no doubt have to make some considerable story pivots. Unfortunately, we have no idea what those pivots are yet.

Gunn has kept plot details for Peacemaker Season 2 tightly under wraps, but what we do know is that John Cena will be back as the asshole, yet surprisingly lovable superhero who’s working on not shooting every single thing in front of him. It’s a journey, and we’re here for it.

Cast

Obviously, John Cena will be back as Christoper Smith a.k.a. Peacemaker. Freddie Stroma will also reprise his role as Vigilante, and Jennifer Holland will most likely come back as A.R.G.U.S. Agent Emilia Harcourt. Outside of that, there’s no official word on casting.

The Season 1 finale saw Peacemaker being haunted by the ghost of his dead father, played by Robert Patrick, so there’s a chance he could reprise his role as well. Danielle Brooks‘ Leota Adeboya could also return or be done with the spy business altogether after her mic drop moment. However, again, there’s little in the way of plot details, so it’s hard to say who’s returning outside of the main leads.

But if Eagly doesn’t return, we riot.

Release Date

As of this writing, there is no release date for Peacemaker Season 2, and James Gunn has made it clear that fans are in for a considerable wait. While confirming that Peacemaker Season 2 is still happening, Gunn has promised that it will be his next project after he completes Superman: Legacy. However, that film doesn’t arrive until July 11, 2025 and will no doubt keep Gunn busy due to its size and scope.

Not only is Gunn tackling a new version of the Man of Steel, but the film will officially launch a rebooted DC Universe. Fortunately, Gunn has confirmed that Cena’s Peacemaker is one of the very few characters that will survive the jump from the previous DC Extended Universe. In short, it’s going to be a long while until we see the shiny-headed doofus return for Season 2.

Considering Peacemaker Season 2 has a while to go before it even starts filming, there’s definitely not a trailer. Fortunately, we have something just as good: The show’s opening credits, which instantly became a viral hit thanks to John Cena’s dance moves and the slamming track by Norwegian glam metal band Wig Wam:
