Public Enemy member and part-time reality TV Lothario Flavor Flav is very well known for his trademark clock pendant, so much so that he even gifted an Olympic athlete with one after her medal was rescinded due to Olympic Committee shenanigans. But in a new interview with Rolling Stone, he reveals just how deep the commitment to the bit really goes — six feet deep, to be exact.
“I might request that on top of my coffin is a built-in clock,” he predicted. “And then also when you open up the lid, there’s a big clock… Yeah, and on the tombstone, it should be a clock.” When asked for the epitaph that should adorn said tombstone, he joked, “‘It’s about time.’”
Elsewhere in the interview, Flav is asked about his clock collection, boasting that his “most extravagant” clock is “a cuckoo clock that was made for me in Switzerland [around 1988]. It’s the shape of a house, and on the bottom of it has a man on a spring, which was the pendulum. When the spring bounces up and down, there’s a little Flav that comes out at the top that says, ‘Yeah, boy. Yeah, boy. Yeah, boy.’ That’s three o’clock.” And yes, it does deliver his signature catchphrase 11 times at 11 o’clock.
Back in 2020, Chloe X Halle released Ungodly Hour, their final album as a duo. The final year, the group announced their official split. Since then, the siblings Uproxx cover star Chlöe and Halle Bailey have had success solo careers.
However, their recent performance at the 2024 Fashion Awards seems to have sparked a creative fever between the sisters. In an interview with People, Chlöe hinted that Chloe X Halle could hit the studio for a whole new album.
“I know [Halle] has a lot going on,” she said. “I’m so proud and excited for her, so I cannot wait for us to finally piece together the body of work we’ve been talking about for so long. At the Fashion Awards, we were able to perform together again. It felt so special… and I can’t wait to do that again with another album.”
While supporters could be blowing Chlöe’s remarks out of proportion that hasn’t stopped fans pages from running with the narrative. Since Chloe X Halle’s split, Chlöe released two full length albums, including 2023’s In Pieces and 2024’s Trouble In Paradise.
Many consider Eminem to be one of the greatest emcees to ever touch a microphone. Hell, even the “Lose Yourself” rapper named himself the ‘Rap God.’ But a recent post online showed Eminem does not mind giving others their props.
Yesterday (December 28), Eminem gave his X (formerly Twitter) followers a peek at his top tier rappers list. “One of my all-time favorite rappers … man I been waiting for this @therealredman,” he wrote.
While users online considered the upload as a random shoutout, Redman supporters quickly tied it back to the release of his latest album, Muddy Waters Too.
On the project’s song, “Dynomite” featuring Sheek Louch, Redman gave Eminem a similar show of respect. “Brick City militant / J Dilla diligent / Blackin’ out like Eminem / These kids love my riddle, and I’m back,” he rapped.
Eminem wasn’t the only legend to shout out the body of work. In a video on Instagram (viewable here courtesy of HipHopDX), Snoop Dogg praised Muddy Waters Too.
“Redman new album, f*cking hot,” he said. “‘Missionary,’ f*cking hot. OG’s standing up right now.”

Immediately after former fans accused Harlow of being a culture vulture and claimed he would soon abandon the genre. Today (December 29), Harlow has responded to the viral backlash with his new single, “Tranquility.”
On the track, produced by Hollywood Cole, Harlow shut down the criticism rapping, “Y’all boys lame sh*t killing me / Need to be reintroduced to humility / I ain’t lookin for no hip-hop credibility / Give a f*ck who feelin me, I’m feelin me / I’m really him, I’m really that remedy / Himothy Chalamet, pretty girls salivate / On the low, off the grid, in the cut, out the way / My prime’s in full swing like a Calaway.”
Later in the song, Harlow countered the culture vulture comments by referencing his investment into it. Near the end of the record, Harlow claimed to have taken a financial loss on his inaugural Gazebo Festival, but intends to keep going. “People that betrayed me don’t even f*ckin know that I know / It’s something that I just file away / Lost a few m’s on the festival / Okay, and I can’t wait to do the second one,” he raps.

While celebrating her birthday, Williams hinted at her 2025 solo tour plans in an Instagram stories. In the post (viewable here courtesy of Stereogum) teased that she is working a string of shows.
“I’m going to try and finally play some shows next year that would’ve happened nearly 5 years ago now,” she wrote. “That is, if the world doesn’t f*cking stop before then. Here’s hoping.”
The latter end of Williams’ statement subtly referred to her 2020 solo tour schedule. During the height of the pandemic, Williams released her long awaited debut solo studio album, Petals for Armor. Like all other artists, due to public safety concerns Williams’ supporting tour was interrupted.
Since then Williams recounted with Paramore, which wrapped up the singer up in an abundance of professional obligations. These commitments included Paramore’s This Is Why album, listening parties for fans, televised performances, its companion tour, and more.
Now, Williams can resume her solo ventures and fans are exciting to see what comes of it.
Drake is long since removed from his time on the small screen. However, the “No Face” rapper seems to be interested in returning to his television roots.
On December 26, Drake joined streamer Adin Ross for a special holiday stream. During the broadcast, Drake recreated the giving spirit seen throughout his 2018 “God’s Plan” music video. With Drake gifting lucky viewers with monetary and vehicle donations, the philanthropic efforts sparked a conversation about his throwback visual.
Drake went on to reveal that he once pitched a TV show in the same vein to Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos. “You see what we’re doing tonight,” he said. This is a thing that I wanted to do ever since I shot that [‘God’s Plan’] video. I asked Jeff Bezos… The word I got back is that he didn’t want to do it. I want to do God’s Plan the TV show, ten episodes a year.”
While Drake didn’t disclose Bezos’ response, he went expend on his vision for the series. “I want to travel across the world,” he said. “I know there’s a lot of billionaires out there, people who have a lot of money, who don’t have a chance to put a face to their charitable actions.”
In the original video for “God’s Plan,” Drake walked around Miami, Florida distributing money to random people. It is rumored that Drake used the video’s budget ($996,631.90) as the funds gifted to residents. Given Drake’s net worth, fans believe he can fund the show with ease.
Although Beyoncé probably won’t respond to the harsh criticism, her mother Tina Knowles surely has. Yesterday (December 28), Momma Tina took to Instagram (viewable here) to slam trolls over their asinine commentary.
“It is mind-boggling to me that you would take your precious Christmas day and watch a performance of someone you hate,” she wrote. “You don’t think has talent so that you can go talk ish about it later Obviously you are so obsessed with them, addicted to them, and secretly admire them, wish you could be them, that you cannot help but to watch and critique and comment and say dumb ridiculous stuff that makes you look like a joke.”
She went on to suggest other programs for those upset with Beyoncé’s performance. “So go to another channel when it’s halftime watch goofy cartoons or Bozo the clown or something you can relate to and see yourself in,” she wrote. “Said with love .”
The Beyhive echoed Momma Tina’s post. Many went on to argue that if Beyoncé’s performance wasn’t worth watching it would not have pulled in 27 million views, which set a livestreaming record for Netflix.
The Los Angeles Lakers have clearly needed to shake things up, but the team has been wary of making any major swings on the trade market ever since their disastrous acquisition of Russell Westbrook a few years ago. Since then, they’ve mostly made moves on the margins and never got beyond the conversation phase for bigger trades (the most notable being discussions to acquire Dejounte Murray last season).
On Sunday, they finally took a bigger swing on the trade market, landing Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton from the Brooklyn Nets in a deal that will send D’Angelo Russell back to Brooklyn, along with Maxwell Lewis and three second round picks, per Shams Charania.
Adding Finney-Smith will give the Lakers some much-needed three-point shooting and another quality defender on the wing, as DFS is averaging 10.4 points on 43.5 percent shooting from deep this season for a Nets team where he is very out of place as a quality veteran. Milton likely won’t be high in the rotation in L.A., but will give JJ Redick another option off the bench in their guard rotation and is another quality shooter (38.9 percent from three this season). For the Nets, they bring in more draft assets and Russell, who is on an expiring contract and could end up being used in trade talks once again before the deadline. If not, they’ll open up more cap room next summer (DFS has a player option worth $15 million for next year) to allow themselves even more flexibility as they look to rebuild.
It certainly seems, on the surface, like a very solid deal for the Lakers, who get the 3-and-D wing they coveted without parting with a first round pick and managed to open up some more space between themselves and the apron in the deal, taking on ~$3.5 million less than they sent out to Brooklyn.
Adam Copeland has been absent from AEW since breaking his tibia in May during his Barbed Wire Steel Cage match, while FTR was announced as “not medically cleared” at least through the new year. Business picked up for AEW during Saturday night’s main event, when the Death Riders held their grip on the future of AEW with a World Championship victory for Jon Moxley and Copeland made his much-anticipated return.
The Death Riders numbers are too great with Jay White being so close to getting the win!
After some outside interference by Wheeler Yuta helped Moxley earn the pin on Jay White the retain the championship, the Death Riders began a post-match beatdown on White. FTR’s music suddenly hit and Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood made their way to the entrance ramp before the lights went out and Copeland’s music hit. FTR hit the ring, first taking out Claudio Castagnoli, then hitting the Shatter Machine on Yuta. Copeland then stood face to face with Moxley before dropping him with a spear.
Adam Copeland stands face-to-face with Jon Moxley!
Copeland then knocked a bar out of a steel chair and used it to pull Moxley back in a modified crossface until Castagnoli made the save. Copeland then announced he and FTR are back to take out the Death Riders, with a trios match announced for next week’s Fight For the Fallen in Asheville, North Carolina.
‘Rated FTR – We’re taking it all!’ – Adam Copeland
Every single week, our TV and film experts will list the most important ten streaming selections for you to pop into your queues. We’re not strictly operating upon reviews or accrued streaming clicks (although yes, we’ve scoured the streaming site charts) but, instead, upon those selections that are really worth noticing amid the churning sea of content. There’s a lot out there, after all, and your time is valuable.
A-lister holiday movies are inevitable, but Amazon MGM knew how to seize the opportunity to pair two of the most charismatic stars in Hollywood together. In this case, Chris Evans and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson contribute to a family movie that isn’t ideal grown-up material, but it’s endurable enough when the target audience hits “repeat.” Now, if one of them decided to bench press an entire herd of reindeer, that might be better, but perhaps they’re saving that trick for the sequel.
A second season is in the works for Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw’s spy-series comfort food with more than a few scenes that bring John Wick to mind. This series proves, among other things, that a lady can always benefit from having a gay best friend who happens to be an assassin, and if he’s indebted to her? Even better. Regular doses of bleak humor and a stellar supporting cast left this show’s audience wanting more but also feeling satisfied, which is precisely where every series should take its regularly scheduled breaks.
What, another Star Wars series so fast after The Acolyte? It’s happening. This series stars Jude Law as Jod Na Nawood, a pirate who tangos with the Force but probably not in a trustworthy way. Four kids cross paths with him after leaving their home planet and finding themselves lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy (far, far away). It’s like The Goonies and Stranger Things meet Star Wars of the New Republic, if an analogy needs to be made.
This high-concept film leaves the sequel door open but is also entertaining of its own volition. Taron Egerton stars as a TSA agent who must thwart a plan to wreak havoc during the Christmas travel season, and Jason Bateman going villain with the always underrated Theo Rossi is worth the price of admission. It’s not a The Outsider and Emily The Criminal crossover, but it’s close enough and worth plopping into the queue.
Billy Bob Thornton’s many acclaimed roles somehow led to this series that will surely receive a new season going forward. Taylor Sheridan’s endlessly active writing bunker did not shy way from the viral moment-making dirty jokes that helped this series launch in the hardest of ways. This yielded to endlessly entertaining character dynamics from Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michael Peña, and Michelle Randolph. And sure, this series would probably have been better with more Demi Moore, but the season isn’t over yet.
This remake of the 1970s classic film stars Eddie Redmayne and significantly alters the assassin’s story, and conveniently so, because streaming longevity is a beautiful thing. It’s a sentiment that prevails throughout this list, perhaps more than any other week in this column’s history. Executive producers Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant were not subtle about the reason why: “Of course, we’re in the business of series television, and there was the idea of sustainability for a returning series.” At least they’re honest about it, and perhaps recent Broadway Cabaret emcee Redmayne will harness that forthright sentiment and tackle this musical next. Just a thought.
This star-packed show revolves around a home with a dark story, which turns into a murder mystery from the comedically talented Liz Feldman, showrunner behind Dead To Me starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini. The latter pops up in this show as a glossy socialite type alongside characters portrayed by Lisa Kudrow, Ray Romano, O-T Fagbenle, Luke Wilson, and Denis Leary.
3. It Ends With Us – Sony Pictures Releasing movie streaming on Netflix
[TRIGGER WARNING for domestic abuse content.] This Blake Lively-starring film is receiving plenty of headlines regarding plentiful allegations against director and co-star Justin Baldoni. It’s safe to say that if there is a continuation of this Colleen Hoover adaptation, then he won’t be involved, but more to the point here, this romantic drama raked in $350 million globally and is now pulling in streaming clicks despite the incredibly serious subject matter behind the romantic packaging.
2. Dexter: Original Sin – Showtime series streaming on Paramount+
Word recently broke of a second Dexter prequel (about the Trinity Kiler), and the world hasn’t yet finished enjoying this literally-named origin story starring Patrick Gibson as the younger Dexter Morgan whose inner monologue arrives from Michael C. Hall. He will also star in next year’s Dexter: Resurrection, so if there was any doubt about who the most marketable TV serial killer might be, this Showtime franchise has put those questions to rest. This prequel series’ leading character is still working the kinks out of his Code with about half of the first season to go. Harry and Debra Morgan’s roles also receive more background texture than expected with both Christian Slater and Molly Brown pulling off an admirable amount of nuance. As the show’s promotional material suggested, it really does take a village to pull off a damn fine prequel.
Do I really need to explain the premise of this series? You’ve watched it, and you know how brutal this series is while satirizing the real-life circumstances of a several current generations. Lee Byung-hun returns (as Front Man) with Wi Ha-jun (as Detective Hwang Jun-ho), both with secret motives, and naturally, the stakes are larger now, and Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) is more hardened now, but that doesn’t mean that he can quell the death machine. Whew. (Fingers crossed that series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk can take a long nap soon.)
