Future, Metro Boomin, And Travis Scott Have That ‘Cinderella’ Drip On Their New Collab

Tonight (March 22), Future and Metro Boomin have dropped their long-awaited collab album, We Don’t Trust You. Both Metro and Future have been teasing the album over the course of the past year, and the first of two announced projects has proven worth the wait. When Future and Metro get together, the end result is always a banger, and a Travis Scott feature adds a bit of razzle dazzle. On We Don’t Trust You, the three hip-hop powerhouses join forces for “Cinderella,” a long-awaited collaboration, which Metro and Future have been teasing at sets recently.

On “Cinderella,” Future and Travis reach braggadocious and stylish new heights, as they rap about their drip over a glimmer beat produced by Metro.

“Racks up, racks stuck together / Sip red, talk to the devil / Rosetta stones forever / High yellow, canary yellow / Hot chocolate, Cinderella,” says Future

On Scott’s verse, the Houston native sticks to his guns, rapping, “You know it’s always levels / Two Ms, that’s on a pedal / This b*tch made that b*tch jealous / This cup ain’t never fail us.”

You can listen to “Cinderella” above.

Stop What You Are Doing And Watch This Nikola Jokic Pass Against The Knicks

nikola jokic
Twitter

The Denver Nuggets are playing host to the New York Knicks on Thursday night. It’s a matchup between the defending NBA champions and a team that really hopes they can break through in the Eastern Conference, so for New York, this is an excellent chance to see how far the team has to go to get to the elite level.

Doing so will require beating the squad that has Nikola Jokic on it, which, well, that’s not an especially easy thing to do. Jokic, as we all know, routinely does silly things when he’s on the floor, and on Thursday, we got one of those magical Jokic moments as he set up an assist for Aaron Gordon. The Knicks tried to double team the reigning NBA Finals MVP, so Jokic passed out of it.

Easy enough, right? Well, it would be if he wasn’t backwards and looked at his target and didn’t throw the ball over his head with one hand right to Aaron Gordon. But he did all of that, so it’s pretty incredible.

Maybe one day I’ll stop being amazed by some of the silly stuff that Jokic casually does in the middle of an NBA game. Today, however, is not that day, because this is remarkable.

DeMar DeRozan And Dillon Brooks Were Ejected After A DeRozan Hard Foul On Jalen Green And A Skirmish

On Thursday evening, the Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets squared off in a battle between teams jockeying for Play-In position in their respective conferences. Late in the third quarter of a single-digit game, a scuffle broke out involving Chicago’s DeMar DeRozan and Houston’s Dillon Brooks. Things escalated to the point where both players were ejected after a lengthy review, but the fireworks began in milder fashion around the six-minute mark of the third quarter.

While attempting to navigate a defensive coverage, DeRozan came flying out toward Jalen Green, and they made significant contact, causing Green to hit the ground and the officiating crew to immediately signal for a review with the potential of a flagrant foul. That could have been the end of it, but Brooks decided to approach DeRozan with a bit of vigor, which led to a skirmish that continued to expand.

When things finally calmed down and the players separated, cameras captured the reactions of both DeRozan and Brooks as the officials announced that each player would be ejected.

By ejection standards, this appeared to be relatively mild, but the league also wants to avoid anything spilling over into a more major issue. It may not have helped that Brooks has a lengthy history of similar altercations, but fortunately, this didn’t go to any wild places and the ejections should be the end of it.

Jack Gohlke Shot Oakland To A March Madness Upset Over Kentucky

Oakland1
CBS Sports

The recipe to pull upsets in the NCAA Tournament usually revolves around the three-point line. On Thursday night in Pittsburgh, the Oakland Golden Grizzlies followed that blueprint to stun the Kentucky Wildcats, 80-76, in the 14-3 game in the South Region. It marks the second time in three years that the Wildcats failed to get out of the first round — back in 2021, the team lost a 15-2 game to Saint Peter’s.

The hero of the night was Jack Gohlke, a graduate senior guard who came to Oakland from D2 Hillsdale College. Gohlke, who attempted 327 threes and eight twos, let it fly from deep early and often, and the Wildcats just had no answer. He had 32 points on the evening and went 10-for-20 from the field, with each of his shots coming from deep. Of those 10 triples, seven came in the first half.

The three-point line, in general, was kind to Oakland on the evening. They were able to score on a porous Kentucky defense, which included a 15-for-31 clip from deep. That, along with a double-double by Trey Townsend (17 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block) was just too much for John Calipari’s squad to handle.

While the Wildcats were able to put up points of their own, they just could not get stops, while their two projected NBA Draft Lottery picks, Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham, struggled mightily. The pair combined for 13 points on 3-for-14 shooting with a combined 10 turnovers. Despite Antonio Reeves going for 27 points, it wasn’t enough to get his team past the Golden Grizzlies.

With the win, Oakland will move on to play either Texas Tech or NC State on Saturday.

Kentucky Didn’t Realize Oakland Was Shooting An And-One And Accidentally Threw The Ball Out Of Bounds

kentucky out of bounds
CBS

The Kentucky Wildcats drew a tricky matchup in the 3-14 game in the South Region. While John Calipari’s squad entered the game as overwhelming favorites to win, they had a tough opponent in an Oakland squad that played a number of games in the non-conference against Power 5 competition.

The Golden Grizzlies — particularly veteran guard Jack Gohlke, who has maybe the greenest light from three I’ve ever seen — spent the first half taking it to the Wildcats, who were clearly rattled for much of the game’s first 20 minutes. It got so bad at one point that Kentucky committed an extremely silly turnover by not realizing that a free throw was actually an and-one. Trey Townsend scored and got sent to the charity stripe, where he missed.

Thinking that the previous basket did not count, Wildcats big man Tre Mitchell tried giving the ball to the ref under the hoop. Instead, he just passed it out of bounds.

A review determined that this was, indeed, supposed to be an and-one, so this stayed in the box score as a turnover. Fortunately for Kentucky, it did not hurt them too much, as Oakland was not able to score on the extra possession that they got here. Still, if we know John Calipari, we’re sure he’s going to let someone hear it over this.

Steve from ‘Blue’s Clues’ posted an almost entirely silent video that has 90s kids bawling

In the wake of the docuseries “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” kids who grew up watching Nickelodeon are reeling a bit. The documentary unveiled a toxic culture of abuse and exploitation at the network, tainting 90s kids’ childhood memories with disturbing behind-the-scenes details of their favorite shows.

But a beacon of light from Nickelodeon still shines in Steve from “Blue’s Clues.” Steve Burns may have broken children’s hearts when he left the show to go to college, but the beloved host has remained a wholesome icon for millennials and Gen Zers who watched him growing up.

In fact, Steve is still bringing comfort to millions, and his latest video on TikTok is a perfect example of how. In a one-minute TikTok, he says only a handful of words, but people are finding themselves tearing up if not outright bawling by the end of it.

What he does is actually very simple, yet the effect is profound. “Hey, just checking in,” he says. “Tell me, what’s goin’ on?” And then he just looks and listens almost entirely in silence, occasionally nodding along. And if you actually go through the exercise of sharing what’s going on with you, even just in your own mind, the compassionate listening he demonstrates feels surprisingly powerful.

@hioutthereitsmesteve

If you didn’t watch Blue’s Clues, this may have felt weird or awkward, but Steve asking questions and then pausing for kids to answer was a hallmark of the show. The kids who grew up watching it are now in the Big Adult Things stage of life, navigating relationships, careers, finances, mental health challenges and more, and it can sometimes feel like too much. So similarly to Elmo’s viral check-in on X, having a familiar and compassionate listening ear opened the floodgates.

“Not me crying the instant he asked,” wrote one person.

“Not me sitting in bed at almost 3 a.m. in tears because Steve from Blue’s Clues shows up on my fyp asking what’s going on? The one thing we have left that is pure from our childhood,” wrote another.

“I just cried for over 5 minutes straight,” shared another. “I just realized no one has asked me how I’m doing in such a long time. I can’t stop crying.”

“I couldn’t even get out a word all I did was cry, lol” shared another.

Many people shared that the Nickelodeon documentary had rocked their world and found comfort in Steve being Steve.

“After the Nickelodeon documentary, Steve, all I need is Blue’s Clues to save whatever is left of this childhood I once had,” wrote one commenter.

“Thank you for being one of the GOOD parts of Nickelodeon, Steve,” wrote another.

“Steve checking up on the grown-up kids he left behind is another level of full circle moment,” shared another.

“After the Nickelodeon thing we need our Steve now more than ever,” agreed another.

And some commenters actually shared the things they are going through, showing why so many people need this kind of check-in:

“Life keeps handing me lemons and I’m not sure how many more I can turn into lemonade. I’m tired, Steve.”

“Too much is happening all at once Steve, and idk if I’m getting through it but it’s always good to hear from you.”

“I lost my mom in January and I’m pregnant with my son…I’m lonely, Steve. I just miss my mom.”

“I want to get sober but it’s so hard. :(“

“I could use a hug, honestly.”

Hopefully, Steve’s video helped some people realize they really do need someone to talk to so they can seek a therapeutic channel. Thank you, Steve, for giving so many grown-ups the cathartic childhood cry they desperately needed.

Ta’Lon Cooper’s 63-Foot Heave Gave Us Our First Bad Beat Of The 2024 NCAA Tournament

ta'lon cooper south carolina
TNT

The 2024 Men’s NCAA Tournament continued in earnest with the true start of March Madness on Thursday afternoon. An upset win from Duquesne and a dominant victory from Michigan State headlined the first wave of games, with South Carolina and Oregon meeting in a highly anticipated Midwest Region matchup in Pittsburgh as part of the second wave. Dana Altman’s Ducks put together a strong first half effort, leading by five points at the break, but Oregon’s lead was on track to be larger before some fireworks just before the final buzzer.

Oregon’s Jackson Shelstad made a jumper with five seconds to go, giving the Ducks an eight-point lead with the clock running. However, South Carolina managed to inbound the ball to Ta’Lon Cooper, who connected on a 63-foot heave that had significant implications in the “bad beat” department.

First and foremost, Cooper’s shot was highly impressive and perhaps gave the Gamecocks a jolt of energy after a sluggish first half. Beyond that, the first half over/under total closed at 62 or 62.5 at most sportsbooks, and this heave took the game from 60 to 63 after 20 minutes.

Not only did Cooper’s shot have a very low probability of falling from that distance, but the bad beat was even made possible by what was already a pretty difficult shot from Shelstad. That combination was incredibly unlikely but, hey, it’s the time of year for madness. This was a wild one.
