Tyler The Creator has been on tour in support of Chromakopia for about two months now, and he’s still got plenty of touring to go with shows scheduled through to September. While he’s still relatively early in the run, there’s one annoyance he’d like to nip in the bud: fans chanting song requests.
On March 21, a fan tweeted, “I love how the crowd chanted Cherry Bomb and Tyler was like ‘ N**** No’@tylerthecreator.” Another replied, “I started that Cherry Bomb chant on Saturday and I will start it again tonight. I need to hear DEATHCAMP live.” To that, Tyler responded today (March 24), “chant all you want ( i hope you dont, its mad annoying during the show) im not gonna play it, chanting doesnt make me magically wanna play it.”
That said, despite that minor hiccup, the tour is going great for Tyler: He also tweeted today, “CHROMAKOPIA tour has been wonderful so far, thank you all for coming.”
Meanwhile, a month ago, Tyler had a different note for his fans when he tweeted, “yo when you see me dont be asking questions like ‘ whY are you here in a major city….. are you renting a house here…where you going’ like n**** I AM NOT YOUR FRIEND, are you a cop? weird ass questions… say hi blah blah and keep it moving so i can finish my walk lol.”

Playboi Carti’sMusic was one of the year’s most anticipated albums. (It’s been one of the most anticipated albums of the year for the past few years, really.) So, here’s the non-surprising news: On the new Billboard 200 chart dated March 26, Music debuted in the No. 1 spot.
Billboard reports that per Luminate, the album had 298,000 equivalent album units earned in the US for the week ending March 20. However, Carti doesn’t agree with that number: In response to an Akademiks tweet noting the 298K sales number, Carti responded, “320.”
Even with Billboard‘s lower figure, Music still had the biggest week for a rap album in 2025 so far, and the second biggest week overall for all genres; The only album ahead of it is The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow, which racked up 490,000 units in its opening week in February.
On top of that, songs from Music drew a total of 384 million on-demand streams. This is the biggest streaming week for an album in almost a year, since Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department had a massive second week in May with 428 million plays. Narrowing it down to rap, Music had the biggest streaming week since the debut week of Drake’s For All The Dogs, with 514 million streams in October 2023.
Taylor Swift’s workout for The Eras Tour involved lots of running on a treadmill. Dua Lipa is going with a different method for the Radical Optimism Tour. “Show prep,” the “Houdini” singer wrote on Instagram, along with multiple videos where she’s doing yoga. The physicality and flexibility on display is impressive; it would have to be to perform her dance-heavy live show every night.
Dua Lipa previously discussed her workout with Marie Claire UK. “I try and work out as much as I can. It’s such a busy lifestyle I feel like I need to try and do something for myself every day,” she said. “I love doing something that’s really fast and quick, like a 15-minute HIIT session which I can do before I start my day. If I’ve got a really early call time I don’t want to be waking up hours before I need to, to go and do a workout. So a high intensity workout, shower, breakfast, and I’m on my way.”
She continued, “When I have a tiny bit more time on my side I love mixing up lots of different training, finding different workouts in whatever city I’m in, whether it’s yoga, Pilates, boxing or spinning. Whatever it is, I try to change it up every day to keep things interesting. When you’re on a tour bus, every day and every place is different, so you never know what you’re going to find. That’s always one way to keep it interesting.”
K-pop favorites NewJeans are coming off an interesting weekend. The group was in Hong Kong to play ComplexCon on March 23. It was their first performance since rebranding as NJZ, and they debuted a new song called “Pitstop” (here’s a video).
The headline, though, is that the group also announced they’re going on a hiatus.
Why Is NewJeans (AKA NJZ) Going On Hiatus?
As NME notes, the band said, “We have decided to stop all activities for the time being in accordance with the court ruling. It wasn’t an easy decision but a necessary one.”
This comes after months of conflict between NewJeans and former label ADOR. In November 2024, the group members claimed they were leaving the agency due to a dispute, but ADOR insisted the agreement between them and the group was still in effect. Then, the band rebranded as NJZ in February, but shortly before ComplexCon, ADOR was granted an injunction that prevents the group from operating as NJZ.
Meanwhile, at ComplexCon, the group’s Minji said, “We knew this wouldn’t be easy from the start. We will continue to voice our opinions while respecting the court’s decision and the process. We have no regrets.”
Hyein also said, “Some people may think staying [with ADOR] would have been better for us, but this was about protecting ourselves. We believe we will come back stronger and do not regret our decision.”
Minji added, “Please don’t see this as the end — we will return, and when we do, we want to meet you again with bright, smiling faces. We know this may be disappointing and upsetting for Bunnies [NewJeans’ fandom], but this is how we protect ourselves, and only by doing this can we return stronger.”
Since late November 2024, Jack Harlow has shared a new track every several weeks or so. But despite his latest track, “Just Us” featuring Doja Cat, growing in popularity it hasn’t increased Harlow’s urge to drop a new album.
During an appearance Apple Music’s New Music Daily with Zane Lowe, Jack Harlow confessed his forthcoming project is taking longer than usual. But he’s fine with that.
“Where’s the f*cking album,” asked Lowe. “You’re just teasing us with hit after hit. What’s going on? Let’s get to the big question, where is the album?”
“That is a big question,” replied Harlow. “I ask myself this all the time. Where is the album.”
After his letting go of his signature sarcasm, Harlow opened up about why the forthcoming body of work hasn’t been announced let alone released yet. “It’s in process,” he said. ” I’m trying to transcend. I wanna do something I’ve never done, and I’m just starting to slowly accept that it is going to take me longer than any of my past projects if I want it to be like nothing I’ve ever done maybe it will take longer than things I have done.”
As for the songs supporters have already been shared (including “Just Us,” “Set You Free,” “Tranquility,” and “Hello Miss Johnson“), Harlow isn’t sure that he’ll include them on the project. “It depends on how the album shakes out sonically,” he said with a level of uncertainty in his voice.
Ask and you shall receive (no matter how strange the request). During one of Dua Lipa’s recent Radical Optimism Tour stops she made one concertgoer promise to fulfill a bizarre demand.
Well, yesterday (March 22), the supporter made good on their promise by sending the record to a Dua Lipa fan page on X (formerly Twitter). “ PHYSICAL – DUA LIPA FEAT. TROYE SIVAN,” wrote the account uploading the audio to X.
Quickly the post gained steam across the platforms. So much so, that it hit Dua Lipa’s desk. After checking out the post and confirming its authenticity, Dua Lipa went on to thank the unnamed fan for finally releasing the file.
The upcoming body of work will be paired with an official short film. Today (March 23), “The Boy Is Mine” singer announced the forthcoming film’s screening schedule and host cities.
Unlike last year’s trend of nationwide showings for music adjacent pictures, Grande’s Brighter Days Ahead short film will only be presented in select cities. On Sunday, March 30, fans can attend an exclusive screening in either Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, or Grande’s hometown Boca Raton, Florida.
The exact location for the screenings has not yet been disclosed. However, Grande did post the RSVP link in order to gain entry into the event on her official Instagram page. On the landing page, Grande stressed that even if supporters signed up before the screening’s March 26, 9 a.m. Eastern cutout time, that does not guarantee them a seat.
Still, Grande’s biggest fans have rushed to have their names added to the exclusive guest list. For the time being, fans are counting down the days until Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead is released.

Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead is out 3/28 via Republic Records. Find more information here.
Sauce Walka’s camp has been struck with tragedy. Over the weekend, the “Ghetto Gospel” rapper has professional commitments in Memphis, which included an appearance at a birthday bash for budding musician Dan Joe.
Sadly during this trip, Sauce Walka was critically injured in a shooting that claimed the life of his rising artist Sayso P. According to FOX 13 Memphis, yesterday (March 22) while in the city’s downtown area Sauce Walka and Sayso P were targeted by assailants. As the pair were outside the Westin Hotel near the FedExForum, gunmen approached Sauce Walka and Sayso P opening fire.
In a statement provided to the outlet, a representative for the Memphis Police Department said Walka was critically shot in the leg. He was then rushed off to Regional One Health hospital for treatment. Now, Walka’s status has been upgraded to non-critical condition. But Sayso P was fatally shot and pronounced dead on the scene.
Although the MPD have identified the vehicle used by the assailants, no arrest has been made at this time. Following witness accounts of the deadly incident, authorities reiterated that the shooting was not a random act of violence.
During a live broadcast hosted by Wack 100 (listenable here), the former manager of late rapper Mo3, Brandon Rainwater backed MPD’s suspensions.
Sauce Walka has not yet issued a public statement regarding the incident.
If you are over the age of 25, you probably only know MrBeast (real name Jimmy Donaldson) from his smiling face in confusing YouTube thumbnails. But here’s the thing: he is massively, almost incomprehensibly popular.
MrBeast has amassed more subscribers than any other YouTube channel through wild stunts (“I Spent 100 Hours Inside The Pyramids”) and challenge-based giveaways like “2,000 People Fight For $5,000,000.” To add to his Feastables-assisted fortune, he also hosts the Prime Video reality competition series Beast Games, which premiered in December 2024 and quickly became the streamer’s most popular unscripted show ever.
Beast Games is “100 percent” expected to return for another season. Here’s what we know.
Plot
Beast Games is described as a “record-breaking competition series” in which 1,000 contestants (!) compete in “nail-biting, physical, mental, and social challenges for a chance to win a whopping $5 million cash prize. Week by week, contestants will use their strength and wit to stay in the game, with the hope of being the multi-million-dollar winner.”
Season 1’s victor was Jeff Allen (Player 831). He actually won $10 million, although after taxes, it was “only” $5.03 million. “My ultimate aim for joining Beast Games was to have a platform to talk about my son Lucas’s rare brain disease,” Allen, who donated $200,000 to help fund research for creatine transporter deficiency (CTD), told Fortune. “I realized, wait, I’m this far, I can also win this thing. I got the best of both worlds, and it’s crazy to even think back to it.”
How will MrBeast change things up for Beast Games season 2 (besides hopefully avoiding another class-action lawsuit)? For one thing, he plans to be more “cutthroat” by quickly eliminating 800 contestants to “get the numbers down,” which is “better for character building.” There’s $15 million at stake.
If you want a shot at winning some Beast bucks, now’s your chance: the casting call for Beast Games season 2 is now open. To apply, you have to “tell us why you are smart and the ultimate strategic thinker—analytical, clever, street smart and a master problem-solver who can outsmart the competition. Do you have a high IQ or a collection of impressive intellectual achievements?” OR “Tell us how your strength, endurance, and physical dominance make you an unstoppable force in this competition!”
Here’s more:
MAKE SURE TO ANSWER AT LEAST TWO OR THREE OF THESE QUESTIONS:
•What was your favorite challenge from BEAST GAMES Season 1, and why?
•Who was your favorite contestant from Season 1, and what made them stand out to you?
•What makes YOU an unforgettable competitor? What’s your edge? Your secret weapon? Your unique skills? Your strongest skills?
Beast Games doesn’t have a “cast,” per se, but the show is hosted by Mr. Beast, as well as Sean Klitzner, Tyler Conklin, and Mack Hopkins.
Release Date
As of March 2025, there is no premiere date for Beast Games season 2.
