Lil Durk may be one of the primary progenitors and purveyors of Chicago drill, but even he has a tender side. He can’t help but let it show in his new single “Can’t Hide It” featuring Jhené Aiko. The song opens with a short interview clip in which Durk admits to being married to longtime lover India Royale, then the beat resolves into a smooth rolling R&B ballad, over which Durk details all the ways his admiration for her makes him act out of character for such a rugged guy.
Jhené comes in on the second verse to deliver a sing-rapped counterpart, admitting her own inability to hide her affection for her partner (Durk’s fellow midwestern rapper Big Sean). The whole thing comes together nicely, with a relatively even balance of masculine and feminine, buttoned-up and slightly unhinged. It’s a good song to continue the rollout for Durk’s upcoming album, Deep Thoughts.
Unfortunately, Durk could be separated from his partner for the foreseeable future, as he awaits trial for conspiracy to commit murder after allegedly arranging a hit on a rival rapper he blames for the death of his OTF artist, King Von. He’s pled not guilty, but has yet to be granted bail, so he’s been arranging the release of Deep Thoughts from behind bars.
J-Hope likes girls who are as pretty as a painting in his new single “Mona Lisa.” In the video, the K-pop star and his dancers put on a show in an art museum, nodding to the song’s title and the painting that inspired it. In a press release, he said of the song, “I prepared this as a gift for ARMY [BTS’s fandom] who enjoy performances. There are also playful and humorous elements throughout, like the various sound effects in the track. I think it will be even more enjoyable if you try to find those details while listening.”
“Mona Lisa” is J-Hope’s second solo single of the month, following “Sweet Dreams” with Miguel. He also features on Don Toliver’s “LV Bag” featuring Pharrell, continuing his foray into American pop music, which started back in 2023 — almost two years exactly — with “On The Street” featuring J. Cole.
In the meantime, Hope’s hitting the road — and a couple of airplanes — on his first-ever solo headlining tour. So far, he’s completed dates in Seoul and Brooklyn, with future dates taking him to Chicago, Mexico City, Oakland, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, Bangkok, Macau, Saitama, and Osaka.

After months of buildup, Selena Gomez’s album with fiancée Benny Blanco has arrived. I Said I Love You First is out now, along with the video for “Younger And Hotter Than Me,” a wistful ballad that finds Selena addressing an ex who seems to keep moving on without growing up.
Or at least, that’s how it sounds until you watch the video, which has sly references to Gomez’s child-actor beginnings, making the song maybe also about the way the Hollywood machine chews up and spits out young talent, moving on to “younger and hotter” kids in the process.
The video opens with Selena waking up surrounded by furniture draped in sheets; eagle-eyed fans noticed that the layout was exactly like her character’s bedroom in Wizards Of Waverly Place. As the camera pulls back, it’s revealed that she’s been sleeping in a mothballed set in an abandoned soundstage; as she traverses the backlot to the bathroom, passersby give her funny looks, suggesting discomfort with this old relic hanging around.
Later, Selena encounters a younger actress, who appears to be having a hard time — that’s subtle — and looks in on a taping of a “high school musical” while partaking in some craft services pastries. Benny visits her on the lot, and they share a meal, which is the only time Selena comes back to life, but all too soon, he’s off to his next gig, and she’s returning to her decommissioned bedroom set. It’s a melancholy vibe, but it’s also kind of hopeful — finding love has helped her get out of her lonesome memories, even if temporarily, and that’s not nothing.

I Said I Love You First is out now via SMG Music/Friends Keep Secrets/Interscope Records. Find more information here.
Back in the second season of the bizarro FX comedy Dave, one episode’s plotline had Doja Cat taking a liking to the show’s fictionalized version of Lil Dicky. The next season, Dicky had a run-in with Jack Harlow, with whom he had a rivalry due to their similar looks (and Jack’s more assertive vibe).
So, it seems kind of inevitable that Jack Harlow and Doja Cat get cozy in the video for Jack’s new single, “Just Us.” After all, they share that Dave connection and off-beat sense of humor, and for what it’s worth, if we can believe Doja would fall for Dicky in the show, it’s equally believable she’d go for his Tether, even if only for a fictionalized music video narrative (it would appear she has a type).
In the video, the two rappers strike up a quick connection while at a packed restaurant, flirting and putting on a public display of affection amid guests including John Mayer, Matt Damon, PinkPantheress, Taylor Rooks, and more.
“Just Us” is Harlow’s fourth new solo single since releasing his last album, 2023’s Jackman, following “Hello Miss Johnson,” “Tranquility,” and “Set You Free.” Given its content, it’s sounding more and more like his next album will probably find him in full heartthrob mode, which fits his rise in status since his breakout with “What’s Happenin.”
The numbers are in: a lot of people watched Kendrick Lamar’s Super LIX halftime show. I’m guessing you knew that already, but now we know exactly how many people witnessed the “Not Like Us” rapper troll Drake.
“Biggest. Halftime Show. EVER,” the official NFL account wrote on X on Thursday (March 20), along with a video boasting that the Apple Music performance netted 3.65 billion total global views, including 1.7 billion from user-generated content. That seems like a lot! Additionally, Lamar’s set received more than 810 million impressions and 50 million people watched it on YouTube within the first 72 hours of release, a 50 percent increase over last year’s Super Bowl.

Georgia-born and LA-based singer-songwriter Amelia Moore (who you may have spotted at Camp Flog Gnaw a few months ago) is at the start of a new chapter: She recently signed with Republic Records, and today (March 20), she has unveiled her first release for the label, a single called “F*ck, Marry, Kill.”
Moore says of the track, “I knew I had to make my own unique story. Singing funny, specific, modern lyrics over a song that feels classic and beautiful is something I had never done before.”
To her point about the lyrics, lines from the song include, “Fighting with me at Coachella / Got you VIP, should’ve known better / Me and my girlfriends so fed up / Yeah, this sh*t is out of control,” and, “I could be walking by you, fully naked / Nothing on but a Cartier bracelet / Boy, I bet you’d still be gaming / Yeah, it’s hypothetical.”
As for what Moore’s all about, a press release explains, “What if the homeschool girl from your community theater troupe transformed into an alternative R&B outlier with an extraterrestrial high fashion sense and sourly sweet wit? She’d probably be a bit like Amelia Moore.”
Moore hasn’t announced an album yet, but the release notes the new song “kicks off a pivotal chapter for Amelia and much more to come in 2025.”
Each week our staff of film and television experts surveys the entertainment landscape to select the ten best new/newish shows available for you to stream at home. We put a lot of thought into our selections, and our debates on what to include and what not to include can sometimes get a little heated and feelings may get hurt, but so be it, this is an important service for you, our readers. With that said, here are our selections for this week.
15. Severance (Apple TV Plus)
Apple TV+
After a long, long break, one of the best shows on TV is back. Severance picks up where season 1 left off, with Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Helly Riggs), Dylan (Dylan), and Irving (Irving Bailiff) trifling with the severance barrier, “leading them further down a path of woe,” according to the cryptic Apple TV Plus synopsis. There are so many mysteries left to answer: what’s the deal with Ms. Casey (Dichen Lachman)? What’s the deal with Seth Milchick (series MVP Tramell Tillman)? And seriously, what’s the deal with the freaking goats?
Mike Judge and Greg Daniels have been attached to some of the best TV comedies of the last 30 years, including Parks and Recreation, The Simpsons, and The Office for Daniels and Beavis and Butt-Head and Silicon Valley for Judge. They also co-created King of the Hill. Their latest collaboration is producing Common Side Effects, a surreal Adult Swim animated series about the “world’s greatest medicine” from creators Joseph Bennett (Scavengers Reign) and Steve Hely (30 Rock). Episodes will stream the next day on Max.
The White Lotus returns with a new location (Thailand) and a new group of talented actors playing emotionally- and spiritually-empty rich folks. The cast includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Blackpink’s Lisa, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Aimee Lou Wood. “I do feel like the other seasons were a rehearsal for this one,” creator Mike White teased.
You know what time is it? It’s Reacher o’clock. In season 3, the big guy meets an even bigger guy. He also “hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out,” according to the Prime Video synopsis. “He finds a world of secrecy and violence and confronts some unfinished business from his own past.” Every episode is basically the same, which is to say, they’re all a lot of fun.
Hulu’s Deli Boys is a crime-comedy about a pair of pampered Pakistani-American brothers who lose everything following their father’s sudden death and are forced to reckon with his secret life of misdeeds as they try to take up his mantle in the underworld. The cast includes Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh, and Poorna Jagannathan.
Ben and Jen (Garner) are in the headlines, and there’s a new Daredevil project. What year is it, 2003? Daredevil: Born Again brings back Charlie Cox as blind crime-fighting lawyer Matt Murdock, as well as Vincent D’Onofrio as mob boss Wilson Fisk, who is pursuing his own political endeavors. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course. Get ready for a kick-ass one-shot fight scene.
Long Bright River is a suspense thriller about Philadelphia police officer Mickey (played by Amanda Seyfried), who patrols a part of the city that has been hard-hit by the opioid crisis. As per the logline: “When a series of murders hit the neighborhood, Mickey realizes that her personal history – her ongoing search for her missing younger sister – might be related to the case.” The subject material is a bit of a downer, so to cheer you up, here’s Mamma Mia 3 (?!) star Seyfried covering a Joni Mitchell song on the dulcimer. Delightful!
The guests for the first episode of John Mulaney’s weekly talk show Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney were Michael Keaton, Joan Baez, Fred Armisen, Jessica Roy, and musical guest Cypress Hill, followed by Nick Kroll, Ben Stiller, Quinta Brunson, Anne Kalosh, Kim Gordon, and Kim Deal in episode two. Oh, and the GOAT himself, Richard Kind, is Mulaney’s sidekick and announcer. This is the definition of must-see TV.
It’s tough to pinpoint Netflix‘s most expensive movie, but don’t be surprised if it’s The Electric State. The film, which reunites the directors (Anthony and Joe Russo) and writers (Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely) of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, has a reported $320 million budget. That’s quite the chunk of change, but for Netflix, it’s money well spent if the retro-futuristic The Electric State — which stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, who team up to find her brother; also, there are robots — ends up being the level of hit it almost assuredly will be.
Certain members of the Stranger Things cast have spent the long hiatus between seasons making music. Others have kept busy by playing musicians. Post-apocalyptic rock opera O’Dessa stars Sadie Sink as a farm girl who goes on a journey to recover a cherished family heirloom. Along the way, she meets her one true love — but to save his soul, she must put the power of destiny and song to the ultimate test. She’s a true guitar hero.
There are roughly 700 TV shows about true crime out there, so I totally understand if you’re burnt out on the genre. But maybe make an exception for Happy Face. For one thing, it’s got a good cast, including Annaleigh Ashford, Dennis Quaid, James Wolk, and David Harewood, and The Good Wife and Evil creators Robert and Michelle King are attached as executive producers. Also, the premise is something else: a serial killer re-enters his daughter’s life after decades of no contact, and it’s up to her to find out if an innocent man is going to be put to death for a crime her father committed.
Colman Domingo, one of the finest actors of his generation, got a well-deserved Oscar nomination for his performance in Sing Sing. The heartbreaking but hopeful film follows Divine G (Domingo), who is imprisoned at Sing Sing Correctional Facility for a crime he didn’t commit. He finds purpose by acting in a theatre group with other incarcerated men, many of whom are played by formerly imprisoned actors.
The latest Shondaland production is The Residence, a screwball comedy starring Uzo Aduba as a detective who is tasked with solving a murder at The White House. “The Residence is a different take and spin on the house that we all know — it’s a peek inside a world that we don’t often get to see,” the Orange Is A New Black actress said. “The show begs the question, ‘Who runs the house?’ And the answer is not what we think it is.”
Celebrate the streaming premiere of Wicked — the Oscar-winning movie musical starring Ariana Grande and the wickedly talented Adele Dazeem, I mean, Cynthia Erivo — by learning all about the “wicked witch of the east, bro” viral video. Or reading about Grande’s long (yellow brick) road to playing Galinda. If you’re going to defy gravity, though, do that on your time.
Welcome to SNX DLX, your weekly roundup of the best sneakers to hit the internet. March continues to be a weird month for sneaker drops. Once again, we’re getting a truncated list here, but once we get to what’s on it, it’ll be easy to understand why.
Instead of volume, we’re getting high-quality drops, including the re-release of two classic Nike colorways, a high-profile Supreme and Nike collab, and a premium take on the Adidas Gazelle.
And that’s it, unfortunately! We would’ve liked at least a few more notable releases, but it looks like after one solid month, 2025’s year in sneakers is still stumbling. Hopefully, the big brands get their sh*t together come summer time.
Here are the best sneakers dropping this week, and where to find them.
Adidas is in a weird spot right now. Aside from the Anthony Edwards 1, the brand’s only popular silhouettes right now are old classics. That’s not a problem if you like those vintage ‘70s and ‘80s, but it is a problem for the brand considering said classics have sub $100 price tags. So what’s a brand to do? Elevate a classic!
The Adidas Gazelle Made in Italy is just that. A premium take on the Gazelle handcrafted from high-quality Italian leather with a full leather lining, Sacchetto sockliner construction, and leather tooling in a clean all-black colorway. It’s more than double the amount of your typical Gazelle, but we’re all for this elevated construction. It’s the sort of special treatment an all-time-great silhouette like the Gazelle deserves.
The Adidas Gazelle Made in Italy is out now for a retail price of $350. Pick up a pair via the Adidas CONFIRMED app.
The Linen is one of the greatest silhouettes that has ever graced the Nike Air Force 1. First released as a Japanese exclusive in 2001, the Linen features a canvas build with blush pink accents and a simple three-color design. If you’re a hardcore AF-1 fan, this is an instant pick-up.
The Nike Air Force 1 Linen is out now for a retail price of $130. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.
With all the elevated classics and legendary colorways dropping this week, it’s nice to get something that doesn’t rely on nostalgia to gain hype, so the Air Max Waffle Black and Hyper Blue, with its futuristic hybrid design, feels like a welcome breath of fresh air.
The Air Max Waffle takes influence from the Air Max Plus and the Waffle Trainer and synthesizes iconic design elements from both silhouettes into something brand new. Rounding out the black and blue colorway are some glittery Metallic Gold accents which help the design pop.
The Nike Air Max Waffle Black and Hyper Blue is out now for a retail price of $140. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Supreme is back! After a string of so-so releases, this new Nike Supreme Collab brings us back to the golden age of the two brands working together. The Air Max 1 features a leather build (upper and tongue), a brushed knit lining, embroidered graphics, and a snakeskin-embossed swoosh, and of course, dual branding.
The sneaker drops in four colorways, two spring-ready tones including yellow and purple, and two classic all-black or all-white.
The Supreme x Nike Air Max 1 Collection is out now for a retail price of $170. Pick up a pair at Supreme or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.
Another classic returns! The Air Jordan 1 Low Obsidian might not be a top-five Jordan colorway, but it still belongs on a list of the best Jordan 1 colorways of all time. The sneaker features a full-grain leather upper with a three-color design that includes white, University Blue, and Obsidian.
There isn’t much to say here, it’s a gorgeous Jordan colorway and neutral enough to work with any fit.
The Air Jordan 1 Low Obsidian is set to drop on March 22nd at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $140. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app or aftermarket sites like GOAT and Flight Club.

WU LYF cast a wide shadow over the indie rock landscape despite only releasing one album, 2011’s Go Tell Fire To The Mountain, before going their separate ways in 2012. But last week, someone on the Indieheads subreddit shared that they “got a postcard from what I assume is WU LYF today directing to this website.” Speculation was high about what it could mean.
Now we know: WU LYF’s website has been updated with a 2025 tour, the once-mysterious group’s first live shows together in 13 years. There’s no North American dates yet, but they’re playing three nights in Manchester, UK, in April, followed by festivals in Brussels and France in May and July.
In 2017, WU LYF (World Unite Lucifer Youth Foundation) frontman Ellery James Roberts spoke to Dazed about the dissolution of the band. “It was quite a dark moment in a lot of senses in my life. But it teaches you a lot,” he said. “It all coming to an end was more of a revelation on my part. The band had this initial period of genuine, pure pursuit. But then you go on the road and we were 19-21. There’s a two-year period of all of this happening. Your eyes are opened to a lot of the world and you can see that a lot things aren’t right, thus I decided I need to fundamentally get things right with myself.”
You can find ticket information here, and check out the dates below.
