The great art-punk band Yeah Yeah Yeahs formed in 2000. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, Karen O, Nick Zinner, and Brian Chase are playing intimate theaters this summer. On the Hidden In Pieces Tour, YYYs will be accompanied by strings and piano, and play songs they haven’t performed in years.

​”Hi, we’ve missed you, they don’t miss you like we miss you​,” the band said in a statement. “Out of a deep desire to reconnect with our band family and you our lovely fans, YYYs are embarking on a series of very special shows this summer. The dearly departed David Lynch would say: ​’all you need to do is turn on the light and the darkness goes.​’ To let our love light shine we will be digging deep into our back catalogue. We’ll be playing songs that are rarely (if ever) performed, alongside all time favorites with new arrangements to delight… and yes there will be acoustic guitars and strings too. We’d love for you to join us for these intimate performances in beautiful iconic theaters to celebrate 25 years of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, not a bad seat in the house!​”

A few days ago, Ja Rule made an appearance on FOX 5 New York’s Good Day New York, to chat with host Rosanna Scotto about his upcoming tour with Nelly, Eve, and more, as well as his Amber & Opal whiskey brand. The biggest takeaway from the segment, though, is that Ja seemingly learned about Fyre Festival 2 on the air.

Towards the end of the conversation, Scotto noted that “that crazy Billy McFarland” is promoting a new Fyre Fest. Ja responded, “Oh lord, no he isn’t,” then laughed. Scotto asked for Ja’s thoughts and he tried to deflect by cheers-ing to his whiskey. He added with laughter, “I’m not going to be there, but cheers!

Ja Rule, of course, was involved with the first Fyre Fest, but has since distanced himself from it for obvious reasons. In 2019, he even addressed it on a song called “For Your Real Entertainment (FYRE).” On the track, he raps about the controversial event, “The fest — the festival is on fire / We don’t need no water, make that motherf*cker hotter / Hotter than the sun, but it wasn’t that / Show of hands if you got your money back / Just playing, I got sued for that / 100 mil’ to be exact.”

Charli XCX is inviting you to her party. The “360” singer is taking over the Lido Festival and turning it into the Party Girl Festival on June 14 at London’s Victoria Park. The lineup includes Magdalena Bay, Gesaffelstein, Jodie Harsh, and Yseult, as well as the previously announced Bladee, The Japanese House, The Dare, 070 Shake, Kelly Lee Owens, and A.G. Cook.

“i’m throwing a festival in london in victoria park on june 14th and all these people are playing so get tickets,” Charli wrote on Instagram.

Last year, Charli spoke to Rolling Stone UK about her preference for electronic music over pop or rock, which checks out with her curated lineup. “Club electronic music is what makes me feel most alive. My nightmare is going to see a pop show or, like, a band. Which is funny, obviously, because: George. You can put that in; he knows how I feel about it,” she said, referring to her partner, The 1975 drummer George Daniels. “It’s sadness and beauty and stillness — it does something to me almost chemically, I think.”

Inglewood was the place to be this past weekend, as the area just played host to Rolling Loud California 2025. You couldn’t go wrong with this year’s headliners: ASAP Rocky, Peso Pluma, and Playboi Carti. During Carti’s set, the rapper actually brought out another headliner-caliber star: The Weeknd.

Per setlist.fm, The Weeknd joined for “Rather Lie,” a new track from Carti’s Music on which he features. (Here’s a video of the “Rather Lie” performance.) The Weeknd also stuck around to do his own “Timeless,” his recent Carti collab.

The Weeknd wasn’t Carti’s only guest at Rolling Loud, as Carti also brought out Skepta for the live debut of Music highlight “Toxic.” Beyond that, he played a bunch of songs from Music.

When life give you lemons, you’re told to make lemonade. Well, for Kali Uchis, she choose to channel a bitter moment into sweet sonics.

Last month, the “Never Be Yours” singer announced that her follow-up to Orquídeas had officially been turned over to her label. Now, Kali is back with another update regarding the forthcoming body of work.

During an interview with 10 Magazine, Kali Uchis shared that her upcoming project was inspired by a “life-altering event” that she’s not yet ready to publicly disclose.

“The album is about the complexities of life and finding ways to find joy in life despite the world,” she said. “Finding ways to appreciate every moment and not take life for granted. Treat every day special. It’s my most existential and honest work. It’s definitely the most beautiful body of work to me, and it’s going to be, for me, the most meaningful and impactful.”

After seemingly overcoming the obstacle, Kali says she revisited the work to reexamine its meaning. “Listening back to the album after my life-altering event, I was able to hear so many things in the lyricism that fully encapsulate the way that I feel now,” she said. “In a strange way, it’s like my soul and spirit were able to predict what was coming next. I’ve been able to heal myself through this album in a lot of ways. But I never knew that I was creating it for that purpose.”

Although Kali Uchis confirmed the album would be entirely in English, she has not revealed any other details (title, expected release date, or guest features).

Yesterday (March 15), Gelo made his festival debut at Rolling Loud California 2025. While the “Can You Please” rapper has already performed in front of robust crowds (NBA All-Star Weekend 2025 and the Detroit Lions-Washington Commanders playoff match), Rolling Loud was the first time Gelo commanded an audience strictly of rap music fans.

As expected, Gelo treated supporters to a lively performance of his breakout single “Tweaker” (which you can view here). But as an added treat, Gelo took a moment to test out some new material. Later in his set, Gelo premiered an unnamed unreleased track. Based on the crowd’s reaction (viewable here), Gelo could have another viral song on his hands.

Even users across X (formerly Twitter) have chimed in to praise the record.

“I’m not gone hold you dawg might have found his career!! this sh*t going,” wrote one user.

“This sh*t slap,” penned another.

“I think it’s safe to say Gelo is here to stay ,” chimed another.

Gelo hasn’t announced when the song will officially be released onto streaming platforms, but supporters have pledged to run up the numbers when it does.

Lady Gaga lives for the applause and apparently record-setting. The “Abracadabra” singer’s long-awaited studio album, Mayhem, has outperformed both fan and charting expectations.

Today (March 16), the Billboard 200 chart data was released and atop the list is Lady Gaga’s Mayhem. While Lady Gaga is no stranger to chart-topping projects, Mayhem’s accolade marked a major milestone for the Academy Award-winner–her seventh No. 1 album.

The official sales numbers state for Mayhem’s first week, it pulled in
219,000 equivalent album units. A detailed breakdown of that impressive total attributes 136,000 to album sales, 80,500 in streaming equivalent album units (equaling to 108.05 million on-demand official streams), and 2,500 in track equivalent album units.

According to Billboard, thus far this marks the “biggest week for a woman musician in 2025.” It also is the “largest debut by a woman musician in over six months.”

Rounding out the top ten is: Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, at No. 2, Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR’s Some Sexy Songs 4 U, at No. 3, SZA’s SOS, at No. 4, Tate McRae’s So Close To What, at No. 5, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet, at No. 6, Jennie’s Ruby, at No. 7, Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos, at No. 8, Morgan Wallen’s One Thing At A Time, at No. 9, and lastly Chappell Roan’s The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess, at No. 10.

The US Department Of Justice has secured a major win in its antitrust lawsuit against Ticketmaster and parent company, Live Nation.

According to court documents obtained by Rolling Stone, Ticketmaster and Live Nation’s effort to have several elements of the case dismissed was rejected by the presiding judge. In his ruling (viewable here), U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian verified that the US Department Of Justice’s argument that Live Nation (and Ticketmaster) engaged in a coercive “tying” business model (the practice of requiring artists to purchase one product or service to gain access to a different product or service) had enough merit to move forward.

“The complaint explains that due to Live Nation’s monopoly power in the large-amphitheater market, artists are effectively locked into using Live Nation as the promoter for a tour that stops at large amphitheaters,” wrote the judge.
“The nature of the financial arrangement between promoters and artists is a factual question that can’t be resolved on the pleadings, and the complaint at least suggests that it’s artist-specific. If the evidence shows that promoters book venues on behalf of specific artists, that artists are the driving force behind which venues to book and when, and that artists are coerced into using Live Nation as their promoter if they want access to Live Nation’s amphitheaters, plaintiffs may have a viable tying claim.”

Back in May 2024, the US Department Of Justice claimed Live Nation and Ticketmaster were illegally maintaining a monopoly, which has caused significant financial harm to US consumers, artists, and businesses. Ultimately, the US Department Of Justice stated that should it win the antitrust lawsuit, its goal is to break up Live Nation and Ticketmaster to prevent further harm.

A trial date has not yet been set.

Nearly one month ago, ASAP Rocky was found not guilty in his felony assault trial. The “Tailor Swif” rapper was accused of assaulting former friend Terell Ephron (professionally known as ASAP Relli).

While ASAP Rocky has released a formal statement following his acquittal, it appears now he’s penned his feelings into a song. Yesterday (March 15), ASAP Rocky headlined Rolling Loud California 2025. During his adrenaline-filled helicopter entrance, ASAP Rocky debuted a few new tunes. One of which, seemingly addressed his falling out with ASAP Relli.

“N****s do the most when they irrelevant / Blamin’ A$AP when we were never friends / Slap a n****, then he want a settlement / Talkin’ to the cops and givin’ evidence / Girls still call me for sex and sh*t / Prayin’ on my downfall, my success and sh*t / That’s the disrespectful sh*t I drain / How come you always pressin’ on some peasant sh*t,” rapped Rocky on the unreleased track supposedly titled “Loved.”

Rocky isn’t the only rapper to refer to Relli in their music. On Playboi Carti’s new album, Music, Kendrick Lamar name-dropped Relli shaming him for testify against Rocky.

Later on the record, ASAP Rocky set the record clear about finding his way into the Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud. “Now see, I really can’t decide how I’ma pick a side / I ain’t on Cole, I ain’t on Drake, I ain’t on Kendrick’s side / I choose homicide they gon’ see a different side,” he rapped.

According to ASAP Rocky his long-awaited album, Don’t Be Dumb, is currently being “mixed and mastered.” So, it is only a matter of time before supporters hear all about Rocky’s battles over the last few years.

The first day of Rolling Loud California 2025 was one for the hip-hop history books. Yesterday (March 15), the beloved rap festival took over the Hollywood Park Grounds in Inglewood, California. Rolling Loud California 2025’s day one lineup was stacked with big names including YG, Sexyy Red, Peso Pluma, and Bossman Dlow. But no one made an entrance quite like headliner ASAP Rocky.

Taking (and tweaking) a page from Travis Scott’s 2024 playbook, ASAP Rocky opened his thrilling Rolling Loud California 2025 set hanging from a helicopter over the stage. In the cinematic clip (viewable here), ASAP Rocky and his Don’t Be Dumb branded ride hovered above the packed crowd as Rocky performed an unreleased track, rumored to be titled “All Black (Stole YA Flow).”

Back at Rolling Loud Miami 2023, Rocky debuted the record, which fans believed was a dig at Scott, as he raps: “First you stole my flow / So I stole your b*tch.”

Rocky then officially made his way onto the Rolling Loud California 2025 GoPuff Stage. In order to do so, he was delicately lowered by a reinforced cord (viewable here). Once his feet were firmly planted on the ground the real show began.

ASAP Rocky worked his way through several songs including “A$AP Forever,” “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),” and “Tailor Swif.” He even brought out fellow entertainer Skepta for a duet of 2018’s “Praise the Lord (Da Shine).”

Rolling Loud California 2025 marked ASAP Rocky’s first performance following his felony assault acquittal and the recording artists’ set showed that he is living life to the fullest.
