FKA Twigs Has The Best Time On Her Club-Ready New Single ‘Perfectly’

A couple days ago, FKA Twigs teased some new music by writing on social media, “and so the offerings begin again… if EUSEXUA was the tip of the tongue, PERFECTLY is the oesophagus… i wonder what lays in the belly of the beast. PERFECTLY 16.07.2025.” She also shared a quick snippet of “Perfectly,” which she had played live previously. Now, we have the whole song.

Twigs opens the club-ready song, “Another day, leave it all to another day / Leave it all to another day, another me / And when I’m done, they’ll say I did it perfectly.” In the refrain, she expands, “A sky of blue, a sea of green / A messy room, fits perfectly / Inside my head I have the best time / Yes, in my head, I have the best time.”

Notably, the song arrives Twigs played unreleased songs in Brooklyn, including “Perfectly, and teased, “I’m playing DELUXUA,” seemingly reference to a deluxe edition of Eusexua, although one has yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Twigs recently reminisced about being roommates with ASAP Rocky, saying, “I used to live with ASAP Yams and Rocky in LA, and we had an apartment together. I would always cook for them because they would never eat. They were boys — they would never be able to cook for themselves.”

Listen to “Perfectly” above.

Fred Again.. Keeps Updating ‘Victory Lap,’ Adding Hanumankind To The New Third Version

Over the past month, Fred Again.. has been focused on music. More specifically, he’s been focused on one song.

In June, he released “Victory Lap,” built on a Doechii sample and featuring Skepta And PlaqueBoyMax. Earlier this month, he dropped a second version, dubbed “Victory Lap Two,” with a new verse from Denzel Curry. Today (July 16), he tacked on another new contributor, adding Hanumankind to “Victory Lap Three.”

So, in total, the track now features Skepta, PlaqueBoyMax, Denzel Curry, and Hanumankind, along with the prominent Doechii sample. Notably, the song has an abrupt ending that seemingly comes out of nowhere, like the first two versions of the song did, perhaps suggesting that a fourth iteration could be on the way. Earlier this year, Fred was spotted in the studio with Justin Bieber, although he didn’t appear on the new album Swag, so perhaps we’ll get Biebs on “Victory Lap?”

Billy McFarland Just Sold The Fyre Festival Brand On eBay And He’s Bummed About The Price

A few months ago, Billy McFarland declared his intention to sell the troubled Fyre Festival brand. After apparently being unable to find a buyer, he decided to throw Fyre up on eBay. It attracted some bids, but as the auction ended yesterday (July 15) with a sale price of $245,300, McFarland was bummed.

As Billboard notes, McFarlane was livestreaming the auction’s closing moments, and as the final bids came in, he said, “Damn. This sucks, it’s so low.”

The tone of a press release he shared on social media after the auction was more optimistic, reading:

“I would like to congratulate the winning bidder in the FYRE Festival IP auction on eBay. I look forward to working with them to begin the process to finalize the sale. FYRE Festival is just one chapter of my story, and l’m excited to move onto my next one.

The auction became the most-watched non-charity listing on eBay during its run, proving once again that attention is currency, and views are the root of attention. That belief is at the core of what l’m building next: a tech platform designed to capture and power the value behind every view online. It’s coming soon.

Thank you,
Billy”

It’s not publicly known who purchased Fyre, but on his livestream, McFarland noted it was a familiar brand and said “it’s funny.”

Beyoncé And Kendrick Lamar Are Both Nominated For 2025 Emmy Awards

While Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar are well known for their rather impressive collections of Grammy Awards (which grew by an Album of the Year and Record/Song of the Year awards, respectively), they are also surprisingly matched up against each other for a few of the same 2025 Emmy Awards.

Beyoncé’s Beyoncé Bowl and Kendrick’s Super Bowl LIX halftime show are both nominated for Outstanding Choreography, Outstanding Variety Special (Live), and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special. Meanwhile, Beyoncé Bowl is also nominated for Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special and Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl show is nominated for Outstanding Music Direction. Interestingly enough, the specials actually share a choreographer: Compton native Charm La Donna, who has also done work with Dua Lipa, Rosalía, and Selena Gomez, winning an MTV Video Music Award for Rosalía, J Balvin and El Guincho’s “Con Altura” video.

Doechii’s Grammy performance is also nominated for Outstanding Choreography, while Beyoncé has an additional nomination for Outstanding Directing For A Variety Special. Funnily enough, should Kendrick win Outstanding Variety Special over Beyoncé, her household will still get a statue; her husband Jay-Z is nominated for the Super Bowl halftime show as a producer.

The 77th Emmy Awards are scheduled for September 14 at 8 PM ET/ 5 PM PT on CBS and Paramount Plus.
