Young Thug Cries In The Club In His Mopey ‘Blaming Jesus’ Video

Young Thug is a lonely guy. At least, he is in the new video for his Uy Scuti song, “Blaming Jesus.” In the song, Thug confesses that he’s been a not-so-great partner to his lady, while also insisting that he’ll be okay getting dumped. “Baby, I’m sorry, okay / Just say you love me, okay?
You’re stayin’, I’ll be okay / You tired of me, okay,” he croons in the chorus.

Likewise, in the video, Thug is seen moping in a strip club, despite being surrounded by revelers. We also see him go to church, perhaps looking for absolution for his mistakes. The scene also reflects the bars that give the song its title: “I need real love in my face / Peace and blessings on my face / Let my love spread, this ain’t a phase / Blaming Jesus off of my faith.”

Considering the song’s topic, fans have already speculated that the track is addressed to Mariah The Scientist, Young Thug’s ex, who he allegedly cheated on despite her support throughout his recent legal issues.

Although he may have let her down, he doesn’t plan on doing so for his hometown, Atlanta. Earlier this month, he announced a Young Thug & Friends Hometown Hero concert at State Farm Arena. You can find more info here.

Uy Scuti is out now via YSL Records, Atlantic Records, and 300 Entertainment. You can find more info here.

Ari Lennox Announces Her Third Album, ‘Vacancy,’ With The Doo-Wop-Inspired ‘Under The Moon’

After leaving Dreamville Records earlier this year and forging out on her own Interscope Records venture, Ari Lennox has announced the impending release of her third studio album.

Vacancy is due on January 23, 2026, via Interscope Records, and pre-orders are available now. To commemorate the announcement, Lennox released the album’s second official single, “Under The Moon,” which you can listen to above.

The new single continues Ari’s habit of combining old-school aesthetics with her modern sensibilities, borrowing the “doo-wop” sounds from ’50s hits like Paul Anka’s “Puppy Love” and using her hip-hop-inspired songwriting to lend the classic style with contemporary flair.

The first single released was the album’s title track, which was produced by Jermaine Dupri and Brian Michael Cox — the same production team that crafted Lennox’s Platinum single, “Pressure.” Together, both songs promise a compelling evolution of the singer’s silky sound on Vacancy.

Meanwhile, it’s unknown whether songs like “Smoke,” which dropped last October, or “Soft Girl Era,” released earlier this year prior to Lennox leaving Dreamville Records, will appear on the album.

As a longtime fan of Lennox, I’m looking forward to seeing her stretch her wings after the industry gave her a particularly rough last few years. Hopefully, her new situation will lead to smoother sailing, and new career heights — or at least, a much happier and more creatively fulfilled artist.

Vacancy is out 1/23/26 via Interscope. You can find more info here.

Wilco And Billy Bragg Will Give Their First Full Collaborative Performance At Solid Sound Festival 2026

Between 1996’s Being There and 1999’s Summerteeth, Wilco teamed up with Billy Bragg to release Mermaid Avenue. It was an interesting project, seeing the artists take unheard lyrics by Woody Guthrie and building new songs around them. Wilco and Bragg have never actually performed the songs live in a full concert together, though, but that’s about to change.

Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival is returning to MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts next year, from June 26 to 28. On the opening night, Wilco and Bragg will reunite and perform Mermaid Avenue songs. Specifically, a press release states that “Mermaid Avenue Live” will be “the first-ever full-length concert of music from the Mermaid Avenue songbook,” seemingly indicating that it may also pull songs from Mermaid Avenue Vol. II and Mermaid Avenue: The Complete Sessions, and isn’t necessarily a full-album performance of the original Mermaid Avenue.

Jeff Tweedy said in a statement, “The world needs all the Woody Guthrie it can get. We’re thrilled that we get to bring these songs to life with Billy.” Bragg adds, “There’s an abiding love out there for the Mermaid Avenue albums, so I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with Wilco to bring Woody’s words to life once again.”

No other artists on the Solid Sound Festival lineup have been revealed yet.

Tickets are available now and more information can be found on the festival website.

Foo Fighters Are Back With A New Tour And A New Single, ‘Asking For A Friend’

Last month, Foo Fighters teased a comeback and announced their new drummer, Ilan Rubin. This followed July’s “Today’s Song,” their first new music in two years.

That comeback has arrived: Today (October 23), the band shared an intense new single, “Asking For A Friend.” Dave Grohl also shared a statement that reads in part:

“Since our return to the stage in San Luis Obispo five weeks ago, we have been reminded of why we love and are forever devoted to doing this Foo Fighters thing. From reuniting as a band and staring at a list of 30 years worth of songs to brush off, to reimagining versions with the incredible blessing of the one and only Ilan Rubin behind the drums, to reconnecting with our amazing fans and blasting them with everything we’ve got (no matter the size of the venue) because we would not be here without them, we have the most solid core. And the sun is finally rising over the horizon.

What better way to share the view than with close friends? […]

‘Asking for a Friend’ is a song for those who have waited patiently in the cold, relying on hope and faith for their horizon to appear. Searching for ‘proof’ when hanging by a wish until the sun shines again.

One of many songs to come…”

‘Crime 101’: Everything To Know About Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, And Mark Ruffalo’s Heist Thriller

Crime 101 top
YouTube

In the upcoming Crime 101, an adaptation of a Don Winslow novella, Chris Hemsworth’s character is something of an ethical thief, who only steals things that insurance policies will cover. There’s of course more to the story than that, and joining him on the journey is a cast that includes Halle Berry and Mark Ruffalo.

As for the tone, writer-director Bart Layton describes the film as a throwback to Steve McQueen classics, telling Esquire, “Obviously, who doesn’t love those movies? They were grown-up, intelligent, Saturday-night popcorn movies, and I definitely felt like, ‘Wouldn’t it be great to bring something of that back?’”

Ahead of the movie’s release, keep reading for everything you need to know before it hits theaters.

Plot

An official description reads:

“Set against the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles, Crime 101 weaves the tale of an elusive thief (Chris Hemsworth) whose high-stakes heists unfolding along the iconic 101 freeway have mystified police. When he eyes the score of a lifetime with hopes of this being his final job, his path collides with a disillusioned insurance broker (Halle Berry) who is facing her own crossroads, forcing the two to collaborate. Determined to crack the case, a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo) closes in on the operation, raising the stakes even higher. As the multimillion-dollar heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are forced to confront the cost of their choices — and the realization that there’s no turning back.”

Hemsworth told Esquire of his character, “He’s a good guy in a situation doing bad things. There was such a vulnerability to the character that we were trying to explore, in order to have an audience side with him.” He also said, “What I loved about the script is you have these three intersecting storylines and characters from different worlds, but they’re all feeling this sort of existential crisis, this middle passage in life, this reexamination of self. And the things like social etiquette, the norms, the expectations, the laws that they’ve all abided by again, they’re wearing thin. The ambiguity of life is far more truthful than the black-or-white.”

Cast

The movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte, and Halle Berry.

Berry previously told Access Hollywood:

“I got to work with some of the most amazing people, guys that I’ve admired for a very long time, on a story that I think is universal, but also for women in this movie — I’m always championing our girls. I think we have a really good representation for us in this movie, and I’m excited about that.”

Hemsworth added, “I was incredibly excited to work with Halle,” and said he absolutely felt “intimidated” by her.

Release Date

The film is set to hit theaters on February 13, 2026.

Hotels We Love: Tropicana Los Cabos Is Tucked Neatly Into The ‘Calmer Cabo’

Hotels We Love_Images_1024x450
Uproxx

Towering palms. Hand-painted tiles. A hush you can actually hear. And the warmest pool that’s not officially labeled a “hot tub.”

Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton sits right off Plaza Mijares in the historic center in Los Cabos (the quieter, more culture-forward “Cabo” — just up the road from Cabo San Lucas). Meaning you can dip into town and then slip back to pool lounging in about ten steps.

Galleries and cafes are at your door; beaches and the bird-rich estuary are close enough to fold into your mornings. The property was freshly reimagined in 2024 as a 70-room boutique — two restaurants, two bars, a heated pool, and a small wellness program with yoga, Tibetan singing bowls, and massages.

WHY IT’S AWESOME

Tropicana Los Cabos

You get town and tranquil in the same frame. The hotel’s hacienda bones face inward to a leafy courtyard and heated pool; step outside and you’re in the arts district grid — Obregón, Morelos, Guerrero — where Thursday night Art Walk takes over from November to June. It’s the right base if you want San José’s human-scale streets plus easy drives to the Cabo corridor’s best beaches.

And the surrounding nature is full on, too: the Estero San José (the city’s protected estuary and bird sanctuary) is a simple add-on to your day — a mellow walk or short ride from the plaza — with boardwalk paths and legit birdwatching. Surfy Costa Azul and swimmable Palmilla sit down the coast when you crave sand and sea.

And if you want to party — that can certainly be found in the area: both in Los Cabos and at some of the beachside adult-only hotels.

IN-HOUSE FOOD & DRINK

Tropicana Los Cabos

Cocina de Las Californias — The signature room leans “farm-to-table” and cooks through the culinary heritage of the Californias; think regional sourcing and a menu built to linger. Service is warm and the entire menu is cleverly imagined. Don’t you dare miss the cocktail program or the lush desserts.

El Patio — A Baja-Mediterranean terrace built around wheat, wine, olive oil, and catch-of-the-day. It’s the al-fresco spot you’ll naturally gravitate toward before an art stroll.

Trópico (Pool Cantina) — The courtyard bar channels the old Tropicana cantina vibe — classic cocktails (Piña Colada, Black Manhattan, “Acapulco”) with house twists and pool-adjacent ease for a first or last drink. We also enjoyed a fun cooking class here that came at no cost (for hotel guests).

AMENITIES

Tropicana Los Cabos
  • Courtyard pool + outdoor hot tub tucked inside the hacienda footprint; heated for year-round dips.
    Hilton
  • Wellness center programming — yoga, Tibetan singing bowls, and massage — for a low-key reset between beach runs and gallery crawls.
    Hilton
  • Pet-friendly (bowls and dog bed; fee applies) and complimentary parking (self and valet).

ROOM TYPES

Tropicana Los Cabos

Seventy rooms in a compact setup — guest rooms and suites with Mexican-contemporary finishes, ceiling fans, and that inside-out courtyard rhythm.

It reads classic Mexico port town — arches, tile, wood — brought forward with authenticity, not themed.

BEST THINGS TO DO WITHIN A 15-MINUTE WALK

Pexels — Ana Sofia Bustamante

Start at Plaza Mijares, then push a block or two into the galleries (Obregón/Morelos/Guerrero/Comonfort). On Thursdays (Nov–Jun), the Art Walk spills onto the streets with open studios and pour-a-glass energy. If you want nature, aim toward the Estero San José paths for golden-hour birds and a reed-lined path — it’s an easy stroll from downtown.

BED GAME

Tropicana Los Cabos

Firm-meets-forgiving mattresses, crisp linens, and courtyard-quiet nights — prime for the “read twenty, doze forty” routine.
Rating: 8/10

SEXINESS RATING

Tropicana Los Cabos

Twilight in the courtyard — tiled walkways, warm light on stucco, a last glass at Trópico — plus a couple’s massage on the wellness menu if you want the full exhale.
Rating: 8/10

VIEWS & PICS SPOTS

Tropicana Los Cabos

Frame the arched corridors looking into the palm-ringed pool; shoot El Patio at golden hour when the terrace glows; grab a rooftop/upper-landing angle if you can for tile-and-tower context.

BOTTOM LINE

Tropicana Los Cabos

A true San José del Cabo stay: art district at your doorstep, courtyard calm, and easy escapes to estuary hush or beach days when the mood hits. Plus partying within easy reach whenever that’s on the agenda.

RATES

Rooms start around $95–$160/night, depending on season and availability.

The Mother And Son Who Inspired Tupac’s ‘Brenda’s Got A Baby’ Were Reunited By The Song, 30 Years Later

Rappers are often criticized for exaggerating their stories in their rhymes, but that proclivity has apparently reunited a mother and son, thirty years after she gave him up for adoption, courtesy of Tupac Shakur. Buckle up, this is a ride.

New York Times Best Selling author Jeff Pearlman recently made the switch from sportswriting to music, choosing as his first subject the late West Coast rap icon. During an interview with his former colleague Rich Eisen to promote his new biography, Only God Can Judge Me: The Many Lives Of Tupac Shakur, Pearl recounted his own role(!) in the aforementioned reunion, and how it all pertained to ‘Pac’s seminal 1991 single, “Brenda’s Got A Baby.”

In the interview, Pearlman recalls how Tupac was inspired by a New York Daily News article about a 12-year-old girl in a New York housing project gave birth to a baby and sent it down the building trash chute. The baby was saved from the trash compactor by a passerby, the baby was given up for adoption, and the article inspired “Brenda’s Got A Baby” during the filming of Juice.

While Pearlman interviewed one of ‘Pac’s former managers, Leila Steinberg, for the book, an offhand comment she made about the veracity of the song sent the author down a rabbit hole. He contacted a genealogist, who found “the baby from ‘Brenda’s Got A Baby’,” Davonn Hodge. After Hodge had done an ancestry search of his own following the deaths of his adoptive parents, he’d reunited with family in New York after growing up in Las Vegas, learning his connection to the song.

Pearlman then employed his genealogist friend to find “Brenda,” and after reaching out, they were able to reunite her with her son… 30 years later. Here’s the kicker: She was in Vegas at the time, attending a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert. There’s a collaboration nobody ever thought of, with one incredible outcome. Check out the full interview above.

Only God Can Judge Me: The Many Lives Of Tupac Shakur is out now via Harper Collins. You can find more info here.
