LE SSERAFIM announced that their third mini-album, Easy, is on the way. The K-pop girl group revealed the news through a trailer titled “Make It Look Easy.”

In the video, things are kept pretty mysterious, as it just guides viewers through a backdrop of stars to reveal the mini-album’s release date.

As for what to expect from LE SSERAFIM, Easy will be centered around “the anxieties and concerns that exist behind the group’s confident image,” according to Yonhap News Agency.

According to NME, the band will put out two more trailers on January 26 and 27, followed by some reveals of the mini-album’s concept photos by February 5. Continuing the release schedule, fans will get to see the complete tracklist for Easy on February 8.

There will be not only additional teasers for Easy as a whole but also some previews for a music video that LE SSERAFIM has planned — which will help build excitement right before the mini-album is slated to drop. This seems that fans will get to see the music video and hear Easy in full at around the same time.

They will also be performing at Coachella in April. Until then, fans can check out LE SSERAFIM’s first “Make It Look Easy” album trailer above.

After years filled with fans’ pleas, André 3000 finally released his solo debut album, New Blue Sun. Although the project was far from what longtime supporters expected, the public has come to love the multi-instrumental-only body of work. Tonight (January 23), the musician will host an IMAX Live Experience for folks to enjoy the tracks. But the live programming doesn’t stop there.

Moments ago, André 3000 revealed that he and his magical flute are set to hit the road as part of his New Blue Sun Live Tour later his month. Across the 23-date run, collaborators featured on the album, Carlos Niño, Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, and Deantoni Parks, have been confirmed as additional tour support.

Unlike André 3000’s thoughts on when rappers should age it up, there isn’t an age restriction on the live shows. Tickets for the New Blue Sun Live Tour go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Wednesday, January 24. Find more information here.

André 3000’s ‘New Blue Sun Live’ tour poster

Marilyn Monroe, one of the most famous actresses of all-time, was never nominated for an Academy Award. Neither have contemporary legends like John Goodman, Kirsten Dunst, or Idris Elba. But you know who got their first Oscar nomination this morning? The big man himself, Godzilla.

OK, technically, it’s not Godzilla that’s nominated. It’s the visual effects team for Godzilla Minus One who are up for Best Visual Effects, but it’s more fun to imagine Godzilla accepting the award. If someone tries to play him off the stage for roaring (with or without accompaniment from Green Day) too long, he could atomic breath them to death.

Godzilla Minus One is actually the first Godzilla movie to be nominated for an Oscar (it’s hard to believe Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla was snubbed), a fitting milestone for the critical and commercial hit. The Takashi Yamazaki film is nearing $100 million at the worldwide box office.

In 2023, Best Visual Effects went to Avatar: The Way of Water. This year’s nominees are The Creator, Godzilla: Minus One, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (sadly only one of two nominations for a very fun movie), and Napoleon. The 2024 Oscars air on March 10th.

Offset recently unveiled that he’s kicking off his first solo tour, fittingly titled the Set It Off Tour. The round of shows will kick off in Philly on March 10, as the rapper will make his way throughout cities in North America.

WWE announced on Tuesday that Raw is moving off of linear television for the first time since its inception 31 years ago and will have a new home on Netflix starting in January 2025.

According to the Variety, the deal is valued at $500 million per year, over 10 years, with an option to opt out after the initial five years and extend an additional 10 years. Variety also reports WWE’s current deal with NBCUniversal has Raw airing on USA Network until October 2024, meaning there’s a gap between deals and it is still being determined where the show will air between the end of the current deal and the beginning of the Netflix era.

“This deal is transformative,” said Mark Shapiro, TKO President and COO, as part of the announcement. “It marries the can’t-miss WWE product with Netflix’s extraordinary global reach and locks in significant and predictable economics for many years. Our partnership fundamentally alters and strengthens the media landscape, dramatically expands the reach of WWE, and brings weekly live appointment viewing to Netflix.”

As part of the agreement Netflix will not only become the exclusive new home of Raw, it will also become the international home for all WWE shows and specials, including Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and the company’s Premium Live Events, including WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble. WWE’s documentaries, original series, and projects will also be available on Netflix internationally beginning in 2025.

In the past year, Netflix has dabbled in live events ranging from a Chris Rock special, the infamous “Love is Blind” reunion, and their F1/golf crossover, the “Netflix Cup.”

Selena Gomez took to her Instagram Story on Monday night (January 22), where she shared some thoughts about her body transformation over the years. The first photo was her in a zebra-print bikini at 21 years old with some sunglasses on, according to Page Six.

“Today I realized I will never look like this again,” Gomez captioned.

She then followed it up with a photo of her current self, at 31, as she was photographed climbing onto a yacht. “I’m not perfect, but I am proud to be who I am,” she added on the second snap. “Sometimes I forget it’s ok to be me.”

Over the past few years, the pop star and Only Murders In The Building actress has been open about her lupus diagnosis, and a kidney transplant in 2017. Because of this, Gomez has also described that a side effect of her medication is that her body fluctuates.

“I just want people to know that you’re beautiful and you’re wonderful,” Gomez said during a TikTok livestream, according to Women’s Health. “Yeah, maybe we have days where we feel like sh*t, but I would much rather be healthy and take care of myself. My medications are important, and I believe they are what helps me.”

On Friday, “Big Energy” hitmaker Latto teamed up with a relatively unknown fellow ATLien, Anycia, to release “Back Outside,” a song that already had plenty of buzz even before its official release. Part of that was due to Latto’s general popularity, but the rest could be attributed to some of the context. In addition to a preview of Latto’s verse containing a potential shot at Nicki Minaj, Latto herself fielded (and dismissed) fans’ concerns about collaborating with a newer artist many had never heard of.

“Shawty from the south side & she hard af,” she explained. “I was an ‘unknown artist’ before and mfs acted too big for me. Stream when we drop.” They certainly have been, driving views on the video since then to over 281K on YouTube — a pretty solid debut for an “unknown” artist like Anycia. So, just who is this Atlanta artist who was able to secure a coveted cosign from one of rap’s reigning it-girls?

Last June, local arts pub VoyageATL interviewed Anycia, who said she’d only started taking music seriously as a career the previous summer. Although she didn’t offer much insight into her origins or inspirations, it’s clear that she leans more on the trap side than glam-rap peers and predecessors like City Girls, Latto, or Megan Thee Stallion. Her breakout single, “So What,” released in October, earned her first slate of major press, and she recently joined Detroit standout Veeze on his Ganger tour.

Her flow is reminiscent of her tourmate’s, with a conversational nonchalance bordering on laconic. She’s been described as having the “down-to-earth, rough-around-the-edges appeal of Sexyy Red,” and in the same interview, she notes that she grew up with and around other buzzy Atlanta artists like Playboi Carti, Key!, and Unotheactivist. She’s already begun to receive love from the likes of NBA stars like Kevin Durant, J. Cole, and of course, the always tapped-in Drake.

In December, she cited Latto and Cardi B as the two artists she most wanted to collaborate with; she’s already manifested a Latto feature (as well as an unreleased one with JID), so don’t be surprised if she’s hanging out with Cardi in a music video soon, too. Check out some of her videos below.

The Miami Heat acquired some backcourt reinforcements two and a half weeks ahead of the NBA’s trade deadline. According to multiple reports, Miami and the Charlotte Hornets agreed to a trade that will result in Terry Rozier joining the reigning Eastern Conference Champions. In exchange, the Heat will send Kyle Lowry and a 2027 NBA Draft pick to Charlotte.

The pick heading to the Hornets does include a lottery protection, but if it doesn’t convey in 2027, it becomes unprotected a year later.

Miami was a popular landing spot for Damian Lillard over the summer, as the team wanted to add some scoring punch in the backcourt alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. While Lowry has been a dependable option and Tyler Herro has played more point guard than ever before, Rozier should be able to step in and provide a boost to a team that ranks 20th in offensive rating and has failed to score 100 points in four of its last six games. Rozier is currently having the most productive season of his career, as he’s averaging 23.2 points and 6.6 assists per game.

As for Lowry, while he makes a ton of sense as someone who could hit the buyout market, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that Charlotte wants to try and find a trade for him first.

Lowry is averaging 8.2 points, four assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 28 minutes a night.

After rumors circulated that Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign were having difficulty securing a distributor for their joint album, fans became nervous. The duo postposing their previously announced multi-stadium listening parties certainly didn’t help. However, on December 11, all faith was restored when clips from the musicians’ rave in Miami began to circulate across social media.

(Update: On January 23, 2024, West shared a new trailer for the album, which revealed that Vultures is now a three-part project. The first volume is set for release on February 9, the second on March 8, and the third on April 5.)

According to the Independent, the work is slated to be released this Friday, December 15. The outlet reports that the date was announced by West yesterday onstage at the Vultures rave preview session. Neither West nor Ty Dolla Sign has echoed this on their personal social media pages. But they have shared teasers of songs from the album as well as the full tracklist.

The list of featured appearances on the album remains a mystery as well. Based on the listening party, fans believe Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Kodak Black, and Lil Durk are on the project.

The nominations for the 96th Academy Awards were announced this morning (find the full list here), but there’s one category in particular that music fans are probably curious about at the moment.
