It’s uncomfortable for people to tell someone they met for a first date that they aren’t interested in a second one because nobody enjoys hurting another person’s feelings. TikTokker Jo Brundza has mastered the art of painlessly getting out of a second date by making them reject her.

How does she do it? Once she realizes she doesn’t want to see them again, she rants about the moon.

“From that realization and on, I spend the rest of the date trying to convince the other person that I don’t think the moon is real,” she says. Now, many folks out there incorrectly believe that the moon landing was faked, but she goes a step further by saying the massive object doesn’t exist at all.

“They’re typically too stunned to argue back,” she says.

“I just think it’s ridiculous that all these billionaires are going up into space. I mean, when they get up there, what do they expect to be there, or not be up there?”

“Look, I’m just saying that if you look at the science of how light refraction works when it enters the atmosphere, it would bend it in a way that to the naked eye would look like solid mass, but it’s not. Also, at the end of the day, do you know anyone who has actually been to the moon?”

3. Blame Greenland

“Eighty percent of the island is covered in ice and uninhabitable. You’re really gonna tell me that’s not where the projectors are? Actually, now that I think about it, do you personally know anyone who’s ever been to Greenland?”

She’s everything. He’s just Ken — but he could soon be Oscar winner Ken.

The shortlist for 10 categories at the 2024 Oscars were announced today, including Best Original Song. The potential nominees include three songs from Barbie: “I’m Just Ken” sung by Ryan Gosling, “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish (who won for “No Time To Die”), and “Dance The Night” by Dua Lipa.

The other finalists include “Can’t Catch Me Now,” Olivia Rodrigo’s ballad for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, and “Dear Alien (Who Art In Heaven)” from Asteroid City. It’s the people’s favorite (the people is me).

Reacher is currently beating down the confines, as the character Jack Reacher tends to do, while piling up streaming hours for the second season thus far. As star Alan Ritchson recently revealed as well, ladies and gentlemen tend to appreciate the show for different reasons, and it’s the women who rave about the show’s action the most when they approach Ritchson in person.

Another delightful effect of Reacher being back is that the leading man is out there discussing fight scenes, too. In a new interview with Screenrant, the Fast X actor revealed that there are plenty of combat-related stunts that he would love to perform, and this includes one key daredevil feat:

“Oh, dude. Yeah. Well, some good motorcycle stunts, I would love. I like to ride. I’d also like to do, like, aerial fights. Like, aerial skydiving fights. That would be the icing on the cake for me.

When further asked about a “20,000 foot piledriver,” Ritchson answered, “Exactly! Just don’t be the guy who lands on the bottom, and you live!” Hmm. So, what do y’all think about a scenario with Ritchson to appear alongside Tom Cruise in a film where they get their mutual aerial-fight moves on? Two Reachers on the same screen might be too much for everyone, including Tom, but here’s to hoping that Ritchson can eventually take on his fight-related dreams, solo or otherwise.

The lineup for the 2023 New Year’s Rockin’ Eve got a few new significant additions, as Megan Thee Stallion, Sabrina Carpenter, Tyla, and Jelly Roll will be joining the party and the already star-studded slate of performers.

As for what songs to expect, Megan is treating the crowd to a special performance, which could possibly be a selection of new music. Carpenter is planning to mashup her two singles, “Nonsense” and “Feather.”

Tyla will play her breakthrough hit, “Water,” along with her new song, “Truth Or Dare.” Finally, Jelly Roll will be performing a medley alongside special guest Jessie Murph.

Other previously-announced artists that will be performing on the holiday special include Green Day, Ludacris, Janelle Monáe, Post Malone, NewJeans, Ellie Goulding, Doechii, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Nile Rodgers and CHIC, Paul Russell, Loud Luxury, Two Friends and Bebe Rexha, Reneé Rapp and Coco Jones, and many, many more.

While the event will be held live in New York, some of the artists will be joining in from around the globe for their performances. For example, Post Malone is participating in Vegas, and NewJeans will be in South Korea.

Viewers can tune in to watch their favorite artists starting at 8 p.m. ET on December 31 on ABC.

Things have gone pretty well for the Philadelphia 76ers this season. Despite the fact that the team had to figure things out on the fly following James Harden’s trade to the Los Angeles Clippers, Philly sits in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 19-8 record and have the best point differential in the league by some margin, all while Tyrese Maxey is turning into one of the brightest young stars in the NBA and Joel Embiid is playing better than he did during his MVP campaign last year.

From the moment the Harden trade happened, one major question that popped up around the team is whether they’d be able to take what they got back and turn all of that into another star. Their success has put those questions on the back burner, but according to Shams Charania, Philly is still keeping tabs on the market and has particularly kept an eye on a pair of players: Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine and Toronto Raptors forward O.G. Anunoby.

LaVine is a tricky nut to crack, because while both he and the Bulls are apparently open to a change in scenery, the team has won seven of the 10 games they’ve played ever since he’s been sidelined with a foot injury, and the market for his services does not seem to be particularly robust. At his best, LaVine — who might be open to a move to Philadelphia — can provide another scoring punch and some shooting to stretch the floor around Embiid, and he is under contract for the next few years, although it’s worth wondering how he would fit alongside Maxey and if it’s worth acquiring a player who would take the ball out of the hands of the Sixers’ two stars.

Anunoby would not need the ball nearly as much, as he is the exact sort of wing that every team covets right now. Anunoby is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, hits 37.2 percent of his 6.3 attempts from three a game, and would give Philly a hand-in-glove fit alongside their two stars. Plus as an added bonus, he played under current Sixers coach Nick Nurse in Toronto. It’s unclear if Toronto, which is known for driving a hard bargain and has reportedly turned down lucrative offers for him in the past, is willing to move on from Anunoby, who is also slated to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season if he declines the player option in his contract.

Last year, Rockstar Games was hit by a massive leak that not only confirmed the existence of Grand Theft Auto VI, but dumped a horde of videos on several online message boards. Considering the game studio only just released the first trailer in December 2023, the company was still far away from sharing GTA VI footage with the world. Now, the hacker behind the infamous leak is staring at a life sentence in a secured prison.

According to the BBC, 18-year-old Arion Kurtaj from Oxford pulled off the daring leak while under police custody for a previous hack. Kurtaj reportedly has autism and a mental health assessment concluded that he “continued to express the intent to return to cybercrime as soon as possible.”

The jury was told that while he was on bail for hacking Nvidia and BT/EE and in police protection at a Travelodge hotel, he continued hacking and carried out his most infamous hack.

Despite having his laptop confiscated, Kurtaj managed to breach Rockstar, the company behind GTA, using an Amazon Firestick, his hotel TV and a mobile phone.

To be clear, Kurtaj’s sentence to a secured hospital isn’t entirely because of the GTA VI leak. As part of the international hacker group, Lapsus$, Kurtaj committed several attacks on Uber, NVIDIA, and others where he demanded millions in ransom. He also allegedly stole from cryptocurrency wallets.

While in custody for those crimes, Kurtaj was reportedly violent, racking up dozens of reports for injuries and property damage in addition to committing the brazen GTA VI hack. However, should doctors deem that Kurtaj is no longer a danger, his indefinite hospital stay will be re-evaluated.

Netflix has always been a little unpredictable when it comes to the time of their drops. Most of the time, new shows and movies drop at 3 am EST/ 12 am PT. Every once in a while, a movie will have a different release time, seemingly just to keep viewers on their toes.

The latest big drop on Netflix will be Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, the highly-anticipated space epic. The film had a limited-time theatrical release earlier this month and will hit Netflix at 10 pm EST/ 8 PST on December 21st.

The movie is two hours and 14 minutes, so all of those east coasters will have to stay up late to go on the galactic adventure. The stacked cast includes Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman, Jena Malone, Fra Fee, Ed Skrein, and Anthony Hopkins. Part One: A Child Of Fire, will be the first installment in the franchise and in true Snyder fashion, there will be a director’s cut. will come later, followed by Part II: The Scargiver in April 2024.

Anything is possible for the next James Bond movie. There’s no director, script, or even an actor to play 007 after Daniel Craig departed the franchise following 2021’s (overstuffed) No Time to Die. But here’s one item that producers can cross off their list for James Bond 26 now: let Paul Giamatti play the bad guy.

The Oscar-nominated actor sat down GQ for their entertaining “Most Iconic Characters” series. At the end of the video, someone off screen asks Giamatti about playing a Bond villain. “I’d want an accent of some kind,” he said. “I’d definitely want an accent. It would be nice to have an animal with me of some kind. Not necessarily a cat, but something. An animal, maybe. Not a parrot or something. Something real.” Giamatti added, “Furs would be good.”

If the next James Bond movie doesn’t have Giamatti as an Australian billionaire with a pet snake that slithers out of the pocket of his fur coat while he delivers a monologue in which he reveals his nefarious plans to 007, well, the franchise had a good run. Time to shut it down.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been married for over a year now after the couple rekindled their relationship. During a new interview with Variety, Lopez spoke about life since their July 2022 wedding.

“We’re older now,” she said. “We’re wiser. We also know what’s important, what’s really important in life, and it’s not so much what other people think. It’s about being true to who you are.”

However, Lopez and Affleck still struggle with the effects of their 2003 breakup, when they dated for the first time. “We both have PTSD,” Lopez shared.

At the time, they had split due to pressure from the tabloids and paparazzi — which took a toll on their relationship. They had also been engaged at the time.

“Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date,” they shared in a joint statement at the time. “When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry.”

Things this time around seem to be going a bit better, as the pair made it to the altar. Lopez is also preparing her This Is Me… Now album and joint film, both of which will document parts of her relationship with Affleck.

Back on July 1, 2022, the New Orleans Pelicans and Zion Williamson agreed to a lucrative contract extension that had the potential to be worth up to $231 million. It was a tricky situation, as Williamson is an All-Star level player when he’s on the floor, but his history of injuries and issues with his weight led to some reported conditions being put in the deal.

On the heels of Williamson only appearing in 29 games during the 2022-23 campaign, those conditions apparently came into effect. Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic brought word that, due to Williamson’s inability to stay on the floor last season, the final three seasons on his contract — 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28 — are no longer fully guaranteed. But the good news for Williamson is that next season is, for now, left untouched, and he has a way to get the guarantees on those other years back based on “playing in enough games and hitting specific weigh-in checkpoints.”

The Pelicans also have protected themselves in case Williamson has any further significant issues with the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. If he suffers a fracture or a stress injury to that bone or the healed callus, or has what the contract calls a “hardware failure” related to the previous injury there, then half of his base salary for 2024-25 would no longer be guaranteed if the team released him.

The good news for both sides here is that Williamson has, to this point, been pretty durable during the 2023-24 campaign. He’s appeared in 23 of the team’s 28 games to this point, and while he’s come under criticism from folks like Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Stephen A. Smith, Williamson has managed to put up 22 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 30.5 minutes per game.
