A paparazzo caught actor Jennifer Garner performing a touching act of kindness. Instead of being annoyed at having the moment filmed by the photographer, she asked him to help.

Garner was at the beach in Santa Monica, California, handing out bags of necessities to the homeless when she came across a man in a wheelchair who had no socks or shoes. Garner took the socks off her feet, gave them to the man and then attempted to hand over her shoes, but they were too small.

Garner then briskly walked over to the photographer filming her and asked him for assistance.

“What size feet do you have?” she asked the photographer repeatedly. “Can I buy your shoes for him? He needs a shoe.” When the random paparazzo asked what size feet the homeless man was, Garner replied, “10 and a half.”

“Oh, I’m 11! Want me to give it to him? I can give it to him,” he responded, adding that Garner didn’t have to pay him for the shoes. The photographer had a blanket to give to the homeless man as well.

When Garner came across the man in the wheelchair, she was handing out plastic bags filled with necessities, similar to those Upworthy reported on in March of 2022. Garner created a viral video for Instagram that showed how the average person could make bags to give a “random act of kindness” to someone in need.

The underlying message of the post is that with a bit of forethought and preparedness, we all can help people experiencing homelessness.

“Gather these essentials in a quart-sized Ziploc bag and keep them in your car to give away when you see someone in need,” she wrote on the post before listing some items that can really help a homeless person get through the day. “A pair of thick socks. Kleenex. Hand wipes. Disposable toothbrushes. Chapstick. A couple of granola bars. I forgot this time, but like to add feminine hygiene products, too. Add $5, $10, $20 and a smile.”

Homelessness has steadily risen in the United States by about 6% yearly since 2017. According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, roughly 421,000 people were homeless in 2022, and nearly 128,000 were chronically homeless, meaning they didn’t have a place to stay for a year or more.

The rise in people on the streets is distressing, and we all hope our leaders can get together to stop the steady increase. But until then, we are all called to do what we can to help alleviate the suffering we see on the streets.

Garner is a beautiful example of taking direct action to make the world a better place. Whether she calls a senator to help pass gun control legislation, buys boxes of books to help school teachers, or helps the homeless, her philosophy seems pretty simple. If you see something wrong, do something. It’s everyone’s responsibility to make the world a better place.

The website released its findings for the year’s most-searched terms (hentai), performers (Abella Danger), countries by traffic (U-S-A!), and categories (lesbian). 2023 is also apparently the “golden age” of mature porn, as “the MILF category gained +1 spot to become the 5th most viewed category worldwide and the Mature category gained +1 to become the 7th most viewed worldwide, growing in popularity by 69 percent.” I’m doing everything in my power to stop myself from making the world’s most obvious “nice” joke.

The “2023 in Review” data also shows the most popular movies and characters, a list topped by Star Wars, Harley Quinn, Game of Thrones, Avatar, and Harry Potter. “Many of the other usual suspects showed up in 2023 as well: Wonder Woman, Black Window, Catwoman, Elastigirl, and Princess Leia,” according to Pornhub’s data. “Not as popular but also searched for were some of their male counterparts: Batman, Spiderman, Deadpool, [and] Superman.”

Also in the top 15: murder doll M3GAN. Is rival Chucky popular in the world of adult cinema, too? Actually, don’t answer. Further down the list is Magic Mike (makes sense) and John Wick. More like (sigh) John D*ck.

No amount of Bosch is too much Bosch, which is why the popular character has been inspiring spinoffs left and right. First, it was Bosch, Amazon’s detective drama based on the Michael Connelly novels of the same name. Then, there was Bosch: Legacy which just wrapped up its second season. Next up, there are not one but two new Bosch-adjacent shows coming up, so you will never be able to escape this man and his tattoos.

The upcoming series will bring in a new character by the name of Renee Ballard. While Ballard has not yet appeared on the show, she has her own line of novels, so there is surely enough material for a solid show. Here is everything we know so far about the currently-untitled Bosch spinoff.

Plot

The spin-off will follow night shift detective Renee Ballard. Ballard was first introduced in Connelly’s 2017 novel The Late Shift and appears in five more Connelly stories, though this will be her first time appearing on screen. Here is the official synopsis:

Renne Ballard is tasked with running the LAPD’s new cold case division — a poorly funded, all-volunteer unit with the largest case load in the city. She approaches these frozen-in-time cases with empathy and determination. When she uncovers a larger conspiracy during her investigations, she’ll lean on the assistance of her retired ally, Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), to navigate the dangers that threaten both her unit and her life

Michael Connelly, Bosch author and creator, shared his excitement in a statement. “It is so exciting to bring Renée Ballard to the screen and to do it with Prime Video, my streaming partner for going on 10 years. This show will have the same authenticity and propulsive momentum of Bosch: Legacy. Fans of the books will love it,” he concluded.

Cast

The series is expected to bring back Welliver as a guest star, but nothing has been confirmed at this moment. In fact, it seems like Welliver will stick around for as long as they will let him, so it’s safe to say we will be getting a bunch of Bosch in the coming years.

Release Date

No release date has been announced at this time. We can assume the show will begin production in the new year, hopefully aiming for a Winter 2024 release.

Madonna fans in the United States have been waiting since October for The Celebration Tour. They had to wait a little longer last night.

Madonna launched the North American leg of her greatest hits tour on Wednesday at New York’s Barclays Center, but according to USA Today, she didn’t step on stage until 10:50 p.m., an hour later than expected. A source told People it was due to “issues during soundcheck.”

Once the technical issues were resolved, however, Madonna performed over two dozen of her most well-known songs for a little more than two hours (two hours and five minutes, specifically). That’s consistent with the other stops on the tour.

iHeartRadio is bringing its Jingle Ball Tour to Atlanta next, with the concert taking place in the city tonight, December 14. As the lineup is incredibly stacked, with Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, Sabrina Carpenter, Flo Rida, David Kushner, Kaliii, and NCT DREAM all set to appear at the State Farm Arena, fans looking to catch all their favorite performers might be wondering when to arrive.

What Time Does iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Atlanta Start?

The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball show in Atlanta tonight will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET, and it’s unclear how long the event will run for. However, there are quite a lot of artists and sets to get through, so it will be a jam-packed night of music.

Considering it is just one stage that the artists will share, the event will likely end around 10:30 or 11 p.m., based on a typical concert curfew.

A few tickets to Jingle Ball Atlanta for tonight are still available, with prices starting at $46. More information can be found here.

For those who won’t be able to make it to Atlanta or any of the Jingle Ball Tour dates, there will be an exclusive performance broadcast on December 21 that plays on ABC at 8 p.m. and will be available to stream on Hulu the following day.

The rumors are true. Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 will be the final season of the beloved Larry David sitcom. David has confirmed that the HBO series will be coming to an end, and joked that he can’t wait to finally be his true self.

“As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character,” David said in a statement to Deadline. “And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”

Of course, it should be noted that David always says every season will be the last, but this time it’s official. The announcement also follows a flurry of headlines from earlier in the year when two Curb Your Enthusiasm producers fired off now-deleted social media posts touting Season 12 as the end.

“Maybe you love the show. Maybe you hate the show. Maybe you don’t give a shit,” producer John Hayman tweeted. “In any event, shooting the last scene of the last episode of the final episode.”

While Hayman’s tweet was deleted, frequent guest Richard Lewis did not pull his tweet from around the same time. Lewis wrote a touching tribute to the show, which seemingly suggested that Curb was ending. Now we know that was definitely the case.

Coi Leray‘s well-known for her twerk videos, but in a new video posted to her social media, she’s “elevated” her game. The vid, which she originally posted on TikTok and shared to Twitter, depicts Leray showing off some truly impressive upper-body strength as she climbs a stripper pole and does a split. The odd part is the song choice — she’s doing all this to Mariah Carey’s holiday classic, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

Naturally, the comments are full of fans expressing their approval for Coi’s other skills. Fellow rapper Fredo Bang joked, “If u needed a pole you could’ve just called me bby,” while others just posted barking dogs, memes, and prayers to the heavens. Some are … well, let’s just say, we can’t embed them in this post. There’s even one from a particularly unhinged Nicki Minaj fan (jokingly?) accusing Coi of trying to upset the rollout for Pink Friday 2 (which was a week ago, by the way).

“We really shot it — some people in the video did not know we were filming,” he said. “I think the real idea of the video is in a moment like that — in a private moment like that, she can never be by herself… This song is not about someone who feels those emotions, it’s about Beyoncé feeling those emotions. It’s personal to her. It’s her that cannot be by herself no matter where she goes or what she does because she’s who she is.”

However, as the video’s realistic nature gained traction recently online, one of the actors reportedly in the video chimed in. “fun fact: it’s not a fact. as someone in this video, it’s not true,” the user, Darian, wrote. “i am once again here to remind you to never trust nameless faceless accounts.”

There’s been a flurry of activity surrounding Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign in recent days, as the pair are gearing up to release Vultures, a new collaborative album. As of now, the project is set to be released this week, on December 15. However, some believe the project might get delayed.

Draymond Green’s indefinite suspension by the NBA has shaken up the sports discourse but the prevailing sentiment seems to be that he earned it and it was well-deserved. However, there’s one voice in the discussion that is seemingly always going to side with the “bad guy” (unless he has a personal beef that prevents him from doing so) — 50 Cent’s. In a recent Instagram post, he called Draymond his favorite player and defended the play that prompted Dray’s eventual suspension, calling it a “mistake” and offering to “apologize for him.”

As you can probably tell from the video above, Dray’s latest transgression involved some unnecessarily wild movements resulting in flagrant contact with yet another contesting big man, Jusuf Nurkic. The heavy punishment from the league stems from Dray’s repeated offenses and apparent disregard for prior disciplinary actions; his last suspension was for a putting Rudy Gobert in a chokehold literally a month before walloping Nurkic. In a hilariously self-unaware interview, Dray even argued that the NBA “can’t keep suspending” him for past actions… again… just weeks before DOING IT AGAIN.

But if there’s anyone who’d approve of his bully behavior, it’s 50, who previously stopped just short of praising Green for stepping on Domantas Sabonis last season (earlier this year! It hasn’t been a full calendar year! He keeps doing this stuff!). 50’s been one of rap’s biggest heels since day one, so it’s no surprise he loves Draymond’s cartoonish villainy. Maybe he can sponsor Dray’s MMA career and they can both find a way to profit from all this.
