In hisSaturday Night Live debut, Noah Kahan tied up an incredible breakthrough year. His first performance of the night was an rendition of “Dial Drunk” from his critically-acclaimed third album Stick Season.
During the performance, Kahan put his vices on display, as he delivered the raw confessional tale detailing the repercussions of alcoholism. Surrounded by tree branches up above, Kahan captured the spirit of stick season, which refers to the period of time between the fall and winter “when it’s just kind of gray and cold, and there’s no snow yet and the beauty of the foliage is done,” as he previously explained in a lyrical breakdown with Genius.
On the chorus of the song, Kahan sings “I’ll dial drunk / I’ll die a drunk / I’ll die for you.”
After performing the final chorus of the song, Kahan pledged his allegiance to the audience and to the show itself
“I’ll die for you SNL. Or at least, seriously injure myself,” he said.
This past year launched Kahan into stardom, the next year looks to be even more promising. Last month, Kahan was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

The scenario that college football chaos-enjoyers were rooting for has at least partly come true: No. 8 Alabama has upset No. 1 Georgia to win the SEC title, giving the Tide the best win in college football this year.
Could Alabama make the College Football Playoff with a conference championship? Could Georgia make it as well, since they were clearly the College Football Playoff committee’s No. 1 team all year?
Maybe.
No. 3 Washington won the PAC-12 with its second win over No. 5 Oregon and remains undefeated. So the Huskies are comfortably in, no matter what shenanigans unfold.
There are two more undefeated Power 5 teams that have yet to conclude as of this writing: No. 4 Florida State and No. 2 Michigan. Both are favored, although Florida State is in more danger facing No. 14 Louisville with backup (and injured) quarterback Tate Rodemaker instead of its star Jordan Travis. Michigan will play No. 16 Iowa, a team that is seemingly incapable of scoring points on offense.
If Michigan wins, it is in. So the neatest possible scenario for the committee would be for Florida State to lose. Then, it likely puts Alabama in along with Texas, the latter of which it would almost certainly slot ahead of Alabama since the Longhorns beat them head-to-head. By 10 points. In Tuscaloosa.
Even as Alabama has rebounded from its rough start (by Alabama standards, of course) and rounded into form at the perfect time, the committee has not wavered. It has not put them ahead of Texas, not once. And it certainly didn’t when the Tide needed a 4th-and-31 miracle against six-win Auburn last week.
So the real question is: what happens if Florida State WINS?
A case can be made that the Seminoles aren’t one of the four best teams without Jordan Travis. It is something the committee has taken into account before, but more in terms of seeding than leaving a team out altogether.
But an undefeated Power 5 conference champion that thumped No. 13 LSU on the road to start the season doesn’t get in over multiple teams with a loss? An undefeated team that would have beaten an SEC team on the road and a top-14 team in Louisville WITHOUT Travis?
The assumption is that the committee will find any excuse to put at least one, if not multiple, SEC teams in to the College Football Playoff. And maybe that’s true.
Either way, the committee is going to be forced to make a decision that is going to make a lot of people angry. But Alabama beating Georgia does NOT automatically mean that the SEC will get a team — much less two — in.
“Believe” singer Cher wants to restore women’s hope of finding true love regardless of age. During her reluctant appearance on the show, Chicken Shop Date shared an essential piece of romantic advice she learned related to securing a life partner. As she discussed love with host Amelia Dimoldenberg, Cher recommended that women broaden their horizons.
When Dimoldenberg asked for her insight on what women should do at least once, Cher said, “Go out with a younger man.”
Dimoldenberg was shocked by Cher’s simple answer. However, Cher and her 36-year-old boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards, are in romantic bliss. She’s taken to her official X (formerly Twitter) to gush over Edwards to her followers.
When users online began to call out the couple for the significant age difference, Cher replied, “I’m not defending us. Haters are gonna hate…doesn’t matter. That we’re happy and not bothering anyone.”
I’m Not Defending us.Haters are Gonna Hate…Doesn’ Matter That we’re Happy & Not Bothering Anyone
Near the end of her sit-down on Chicken Shop Date, Cher seemingly addressed the pushback as well. “Older men just do not like me,” confessed Cher. Cher’s dating pool (which is rumored to include Val Kilmer, Tom Cruise, David Geffen, Gene Simmons, Warren Beatty, and Michael Bolton) has fluctuated in age.
Since finding success, “What Was I Made For” singer Billie Eilish has tried to shield as much of her personal life from the general public as possible. While she’s shared small bits about her life in past interviews, most of Eilish’s life is a mystery, including her sexuality. Today (December 2), set the record straight during the Variety Hitmakers party.
As she made her way down the red carpet, she stopped to chat with correspondent Katcy Stephan about her November cover story. One of the things revealed in the piece, Eilish confirmed that she is a member of the LGBTQ community. “I kinda thought, ‘Wasn’t it obvious?’ I didn’t realize people didn’t know… I just don’t really believe in [coming out]. I’m just like, ‘Why can’t we just exist,’” said Eilish.
She continued, “I have deep connections with women in my life, the friends in my life, the family in my life. I’m physically attracted to them. But I’m also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence.”
Lee Childs’ Jack Reacher books received an Amazon adaptation, Reacher, that has been a roaring success. Much of that has to do with the lead actor, brick sh*thouse Alan Ritchson (“details matter”), being the right guy for the gig. Ritchson not only has a knack for being able to convey wordless volumes but can also effectively rattle off all the inferences that his character gathers from hints that no one else would have ever noticed.
The second season of Reacher will debut on December 15, but ahead of that arrival, Amazon released more promising news about the ex-military officer turned drifter: Season 3 is already in the works.
Here’s a video announcement from Ritchson on the set:
Reacher commands a passionate global audience, quickly becoming one of the top five most watched original seasons ever on Prime Video in the U.S. and globally during its inaugural run. Seasons Two and Three of Reacher will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Season 2 will see Reacher having a not-so-happy reunion with members of his old unit when some of them begin to mysteriously drop dead. This leads to an all-new mystery, and he will also punch a window. Good times.
Greg Gutfeld hosts the closest thing Fox News has to an intentionally funny show. He doesn’t care whose toes his steps on, but on Friday’s show he may have crossed a line when he went after a target who could really screw up his life: Fox News.
Greg Gutfeld stands up for Elon Musk and says the quiet part out loud: Tucker Carlson was canceled from Fox by special interest groups tied to political interests. pic.twitter.com/T9yYOTzLEM
Per Mediaite, Gutfeld devoted a segment to defending Elon Musk for attacking advertisers fleeing Twitter/X, all because he agreed with an anti-Semitic post. Gutfeld saw Musk as the hero and advertisers as “cowardly.”
“The fact is, Musk may be the last man standing between real freedom of speech and the suffocating block of this censorship industrial complex, which is made up of government, media, and tech forces,” Gutfeld charged on his comedy show. “He realizes that advertisers have no spine and can be easily cowed by special interest groups in cahoots with political allies.”
Then he dropped a big one: “If you don’t believe me, I’ve got two words for you: Tucker Carlson.”
Was Gutfeld really biting the hand that feeds him? Did he think Fox News canned Tucker Carlson, which they did back in April, because they were cowards? Fox News has never revealed the details about why they kicked their biggest star to the curb, but maybe Gutfeld’s heard some water cooler talk.
Whatever the case, Gutfeld’s mic drop drew gasps and some awkward silence. After all, maybe he’ll he joining Tucker, Bill O’Reilly, Megyn Kelly, and all those other former Fox News stars who found out how hard it is to keep their audiences without the most popular 24-hour news network giving them air time.
A visibly cheerful 21 Savage was met with thunderous applause. The warm welcome at London’s O2 Arena by the crowd continued throughout the sold-out show, which featured openers Baby Drill and 21 Lil Harold. As he felt the overwhelming support from attendees, 21 Savage treated them to details surrounding his next solo project.
“London, I love y’all. I hope this ain’t my last time seeing y’all,” he announced. “And my album finna drop, so y’all get ready.”
During 21 Savage’s homecoming show, he was sure to show love to several prominent local UK rap acts, including Central Cee and J Hus. Jamaican musician Popcaan also made a surprise appearance.
21 Savage’s latest album was the Grammy Award-nominated collaborative project, Her Loss, with Drake, which dropped last year. Prior to that, 21 Savage partnered with Metro Boomin for their 2020 album, Savage Mode II.
André 3000’s long-awaited return to music raised an important question: Is there an age limit on rap? While discussing his decision to make an instrumental rather than a rap album, the former OutKast member told GQ that he thinks so. Well, word got back to 41-year-old rapper Lil Wayne, who took to his Young Money Radio show on Apple Music to share his thoughts on the matter.
Lil Wayne didn’t mention André 3000 by name, but the firestorm his comments sparked made it abundantly clear that he was at the center of the chat between Lil Wayne and Tyga.
“I read a depressing quote or two from someone I respect a lot in music – in Hip Hop period, in music period,” Lil Wayne said. “And they were asked, ‘Why you ain’t been doing music’ or whatever? And they were like, ‘Man, what I’m a talk about? I’m in my 40s. Like, what am I supposed to talk about?’ I was like, wow, that was so depressing. I’m like, I have everything to talk about.”
Lil Wayne’s recent joint project with 2 Chainz, Welcome 2 Collegrove, demonstrates that he still has more than enough raps tucked into his mind to keep his musical legacy going.
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly known as Mormons, are a conservative group who aren’t known for being vocal about sex.
But best selling author, blogger, and mother of six, Gabrielle Blair, has kicked that stereotype to the curb with a pointed thread on reducing unwanted pregnancies. And her sights are set directly at men.
If you want to stop abortion, you need to prevent unwanted pregnancies. And men are 100% responsible for unwanted pregnancies. No for real, they are. Perhaps you are thinking: IT TAKES TWO! And yes, it does take two for _intentional_ pregnancies.
But ALL unwanted pregnancies are caused by the irresponsible ejaculations of men. Period. Don’t believe me? Let me walk you through it. Let’s start with this: women can only get pregnant about 2 days each month. And that’s for a limited number of years.
Here’s the whole thread. It’s long, but totally worth the read.
u201cThat makes 24 days a year a women might get pregnant. But men can _cause_ pregnancy 365 days a year. In fact, if youu2019re a man who ejaculates multiple times a day, you could cause multiple pregnancies daily. In theory a man could cause 1000+ unwanted pregnancies in just one year.u201d
But what about birth control? If a woman doesnu2019t want to risk an unwanted pregnancy, why wouldnu2019t she just use birth control? If a women can manage to figure out how to get an abortion, surely she can get birth control, right? Great questions.
u2026 because of the side effects. And the list of side effects was about 1/3 as long as the known side effects for women’s oral contraception.http://ow.ly/Hqdx30lOrKJ
But good news, Men: Even with the horrible side effects, women are still very willing to use birth control. Unfortunately itu2019s harder to get than it should be. Birth control options for women require a doctoru2019s appointment and a prescription. Itu2019s not free, and often not cheap.
If weu2019re talking about the pill, it requires consistent daily use and doesnu2019t leave much room for mistakes, forgetfulness, or unexpected disruptions to daily schedules. And again, the side effects can be brutal. Iu2019M STILL GRATEFUL FOR IT PLEASE DONu2019T TAKE IT AWAY.
Men can keep them stocked up just in case, so theyu2019re always prepared. Amazing! They are so much easier than birth control options for women. As a bonus, in general, women love when men use condoms. They keep us from getting STDs, they donu2019t lessen our pleasure during sexu2026
Oh. I remember. Men _donu2019t_ love condoms. In fact, men frequently pressure women to have sex without a condom. And itu2019s not unheard of for men to remove the condom during sex, without the womenu2019s permission or knowledge. (Pro-tip: That’s assault.)http://ow.ly/UHgP30lOse3
Sou2026 there are men willing to risk getting a woman pregnant u2014 which means literally risking her life, her health, her social status, her relationships, and her career, so that they can experience a few minutes of _slightly_ more pleasure? Is that for real? Yes. Yes it is.
So itu2019s not like sex with a condom is _not_ pleasurable, itu2019s just not _as_ pleasurable. An 8 instead of a 10. Let me emphasize that again: Men regularly choose to put women at massive risk by having non-condom sex, in order to experience a few minutes of slightly more pleasure.
Itu2019s mind-boggling and disturbing when you realize thatu2019s the choice men are making. And honestly, Iu2019m not as mad as I should be about this, because weu2019ve trained men from birth that their pleasure is of utmost importance in the world. (And to dis-associate sex and pregnancy.)
But did you further know that men CAN get a woman pregnant without HER feeling any pleasure at all? In fact, itu2019s totally possible for a man to impregnate a woman even while causing her excruciating pain, trauma or horror.
No matter how many orgasms she has, they wonu2019t make her pregnant. Pregnancies can only happen when men have an orgasm. Unwanted pregnancies can only happen when men orgasm irresponsibly.
Letu2019s talk more about responsibility. Men often donu2019t know, and donu2019t ask, and donu2019t think to ask, if theyu2019ve caused a pregnancy. They may never think of it, or associate sex with making babies at all. Why? Because there are 0 consequences for men who cause unwanted pregnancies.
Blair’s controversial tweet storm have been liked hundreds of thousands of time, with the original tweet earning nearly 200,000 likes since it was posted on Thursday, September, 13.
The reactions have earned her both praise and scorn.
Most of the scorn was from men.
Men AND women both need to take responsibility for their own actions. I’ve said that many times. To say otherwise just isn’t being realistic.
You are incorrect. A woman having an orgasm while with a man risks nothing and hurts no one. A man having an orgasm while with a woman risks her life. A dick without a condim is a dangerous thing and has killed more people in human history than any war or weapon.
For other men, the tweet thread was a real eye-opener.
I just want you to know from a guy that your entire line of argument on this thread is 100% accurate. Thanks for taking the time to put this out there. Every adult in this country SHOULD read this.
Thank God for this. I have had so many arguments with men over the years about their part of responsibility for pregnancy. The phrase “she got pregnant” sends me to the moon! Blessings to you Gabrielle!

The 17-year-old was the victim of a horrific bullying incident.
A group of girls threw boiling water on her, leaving her badly burned and covered in scars and discoloration.
She thought the physical scars would be with her forever — until she met Basma Hameed. Basma Hameed runs a tattoo shop, of sorts — but her tattoo artistry doesn’t look like you’d expect. Basma is a paramedical tattoo specialist. Instead of tattooing vibrant, colorful designs, she uses special pigments that match the skin in order to conceal scars.
It looks like this:
With Basma’s help, patients like Samira can see a dramatic decrease in their scar visibility and discoloration after a few treatments. She even offers free procedures for patients who are unable to afford treatment. That’s because Basma knows firsthand just how life-changing her work can be for those coping with painful scars left behind.
Check out the video below to find out more about Basma’s practice, including how she became her very first patient.
