The Suspect In Elvis Presley’s Graceland Estate Sale Scheme Has Reportedly Pled Guilty

The Elvis Presley estate is breathing a sigh of relief. Last year, the “Hound Dog” singer’s former home-turned-museum was wrapped up in an elaborate real estate scheme. Fortunately, the family caught the plot before losing control over Graceland.

Now, the suspect is in court answering for their action. According to the Associated Press, Lisa Jeanine Findley has pled guilty during the case’s latest hearing. Today (February 25), Findley told a Memphis federal judge she wanted cop to two counts of mail fraud. Although Findley was also charged with one count of aggravated identity theft, based on court documents obtained by the outlet, that has since been dropped.

The Missouri native was accused of masterminding a plot to defraud Elvis Presley’s family out of ownership of the Graceland mansion by forcing it into auction.

Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Nicole M. Argentieri, head of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, detailed Findley’s alleged actions in a press conference. “In an alleged scheme to defraud Elvis Presley’s family of millions of dollars and steal the family’s ownership interest in Graceland,” she said. “As part of the brazen scheme, we allege that the defendant created numerous false documents and sought to extort a settlement from the Presley family.”

Findley claimed the late Lisa Marie Presley borrowed $3.8 million from a fictitious private lender. Within the fraudulent files, Findley said Presley put Graceland up as collateral. Following Presley’s death, Findley allegedly threatened the estate (which is now controlled by Presley’s daughter Riley Keough) to pay a $2.85 million settlement otherwise Graceland would be sent to auction.

Findley is due back in court on June 18 to be sentenced. Prior to her plea, Findley faced 20 years. But, according to AP, that could be drastic cut under a deal made with the prosecutor’s office.

Jeezy Is Reportedly Suing His Former Team For Mismanagement Of Funds And Hiding Financial Records

Over the past several months, Jeezy’s legal team has been quite busy. Beyond his nasty court battle with ex-wife Jeannie Mai, the “Almighty Black Dollar” rapper is reportedly facing off his former management team.

According to TMZ, Jeezy (real name Jay Wayne Jenkins) filed a lawsuit against Solomon Fornie and Eddie Bridgeman yesterday (February 24).

In documents obtained by the outlet, Jenkins accused his past business partners of money mismanagement and blocking his access to key financial records.

Jenkins also claimed that Fornie and Bridgeman took unauthorized liberties with the funds brought in from his earnings as a recording artist for their own personal gain.

The suit comes after Jenkins attempted to cut professional ties with the duo back in 2024. At that time, he claimed Fornie and Bridgeman purposely obstructed his access to “the books.”

Without the records, Jenkins argues that he is “unable to comply with Georgia law” to get his company Agency 99 reinstated. Back in 2015, Jenkins, Fornie, and Bridgeman formed Agency 99 to keep an eye on his flourishing musical revenues streams. Since then Fornie and Bridgeman were responsible for day-to-day management.

The extent of the Fornie and Bridgeman’s supposed financial mismanagement was not outlined. Still, Jeezy is seeking damages for their alleged actions in additional to having the financial records turned over.

Will There Be A ‘Zero Day’ Season 2 On Netflix?

zero-day-lg
Netflix

These days, it almost feels obligatory that a star-studded dystopian thriller will prominently include Jesse Plemons within the cast. Netflix series Zero Day checked that box and more with Plemons looking more dapper than the usual characters that he portrays, and the show further starred Robert De Niro, Lizzy Caplan, Matthew Modine, Clark Gregg, Gaby Hoffman, Bill Camp, Connie Britton, Joan Allen, and Dan Stevens.

The end of the series reveled that the call (i.e., the devastating cyberattack) was literally coming from within the House, and De Niro’s ex-president reeled throughout the series, not only from his discovery of who was responsible for the attack but also while he felt the effects of the Proteus technology. The twists and turns kept on going until the season finale, and the bingeable nature of this series left people wanting for more.

Will There Be A Zero Day Season 2 On Netflix?

Unless something changes, no.

Netflix is still calling Zero Day a “limited series,” but that doesn’t entirely rule out a followup because minds can always change. Remember how The Bear, Big Little Lies, The White Lotus, and Presumed Innocent were also billed as limited series? Exactly. Heck, The Bear is staring down a fourth season as we speak. TV, man. Gotta love it.

Model/Actriz Announces Their Album ‘Pirouette’ With A Thrilling New Single ‘Cinderella’

Model/Actriz’s name can not be found on the artists we hope release new albums this year list by Uproxx’s senior pop culture editor Josh Kurp. However, the “Mosquito” musicians have not left the minds of indie rock lovers.

Today (February 25), Model/Actriz confirmed they are ready to release their follow-up to 2023’s Dogsbody. This May, Model/Actriz’s long-awaited sophomore album Pirouette will hit streaming services. To get supporters prepared for what is to come, Model/Actriz has shared the project’s lead single, “Cinderella.”

Similar to Model/Actriz’s thrilling sonics, “Cinderella” is an exhilarating spin on a classic fairytale. In the track’s official video, directed by Nathan Castiel, the band reimagines the children’s story about discovering love in a hopeless place.

Lead vocalist Cole Haden discussed the inspiration behind the track and their upcoming album in a statement. “‘Cinderella’ distills within it many of the objectives that would become the lifeblood of ‘Pirouette,’” they said. “We aimed to write something with an inherent brightness that differed anything we had made before, and the light that shines through the song was made not through removing darkness, but through upping the contrast.”

Watch the official video for Model/Actriz’s single “Cinderella” directed by Nathan Castiel above. Continue below to view the tracklist and cover art for Pirouette.

When Will Taylor Sheridan’s ‘The Madison’ Arrive On Paramount+?

taylor-sheridan-hat

Taylor Sheridan’s target audience certainly isn’t in a Sheridrought yet. The second and final 1923 season premiered over this past weekend, and eight episodes will keep that rodeo going for nearly two months.

What will come next? It won’t be the Beth and Rip show but will be The Madison, which will continue the Yellowstone saga, but none of Sheridan’s standalone series (Tulsa King, Lioness, Landman) are expected to return this year. Actually, that’s not entirely true because Mayor Of Kingstown could be back with a fourth season before 2025 ends, but what else? It’s going to be a strange year.

Let’s just say that last fall had at least four Sheridan shows releasing new weekly series, which is a sharp departure from how this year will roll out. Sheridan is as busy as ever, yet it’s simply going to be an odd several months for those who love to binge multiple Sheridan shows at once. So of course there’s a question we need to discuss.

When Will Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison Arrive On Paramount+?

As of now, Paramount+ hasn’t clarified a specific date, but the Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox-starring show should arrive in late 2025.

Earlier this year, Patrick J. Adams revealed that filming is complete after production stretched from Texas to Montana. The cast further includes Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, Kevin Zegers, and Elle Chapman.

The show’s sparse description promises a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.” We’ll be watching for a release date, but for now, Sheridanland is full of mystery.

Is There A ‘Cobra Kai’ Spin Off Series In The Works On Netflix?

Cobra Kai Season 4
Netflix

If you (like I did) needed minute to process Cobra Kai‘s final episodes (including those deaths), then you might be wondering what could be next for the franchise, well, in addition to Karate Kid: Legends in theaters on May 30.

That movie will bring Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan’s senseis together to train a new “Karate Kid,” portrayed by Ben Wang, who beat out thousands of others in a global casting call. Will there be more on the TV side, though? Creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg haven’t been shy over the years about mentioning possible spin offs like a Miyagi-centered prequel, but has anything changed or been greenlit since that time?

Not yet. While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, however, the trio clarified that no clarity exists yet. Said Schlossberg, “We’ve been working on lots of different ideas and waiting for things to be official.” Heald also offered, “We’re definitely closer, but we can’t say anything yet.”

When quizzed further by EW‘s Kristen Baldwin about whether a “Binary Brothers” spin off could be greenlit and revolve around Jacob Bertrand’s Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz and Gianni DeCenzo’s Demetri as they take on Cal Tech, the response seemed telling. Maybe?

“It’s like she stole our computer!” Hurwitz marvels. Heald agrees, saying, “That may or may not be something we’ve already talked about.” Continues Hurwitz, “There may actually be a document, a very thorough document, that says what you just said.”

That seems feasible, actually. And come to think of it, I posed a (far less eloquent) question on the subject a few years ago about Hawk and Dimitri opening their own dojo, and Jacob Bertrand was down: “Yeah! Hawk could punch all the kids in the face, and Dimitri could run the money.”

Thankfully, Hawk has since become less of a villain and a menace, and Bertrand has also told us, “I love getting to work with Gianni [DeCenzo], and I love the relationship that Demetri and Hawk have, and the whole binary-brothers relationship.” Make it happen, please, Netflix.

Diana Taurasi Officially Announced Her Retirement From The WNBA

diana taurasi

One of the greatest basketball players of all-time is officially calling it a career, as Diana Taurasi announced in an interview with TIME that she would not be returning for a 21st season with the Phoenix Mercury. Taurasi opted against the farewell tour, instead letting her body tell her it was time to walk away when January 1 arrived and she just didn’t feel the drive to begin her usual work ramping up for the season.

“I just didn’t have it in me,” Taurasi told TIME. “That was pretty much when I knew it was time to walk away. …Mentally and physically, I’m just full. That’s probably the best way I can describe it. I’m full and I’m happy.”

Taurasi has a strong claim to the GOAT title in women’s basketball. She won three national titles at UConn, three WNBA titles with the Mercury, six EuroLeague titles, and six Olympic gold medals. She’s the all-time leading scorer in WNBA history with 10,646 points, more than 3,000 clear of second place. She made 14 All-WNBA teams (10 first-team), won Rookie of the Year in 2004, the league’s MVP award in 2009, and two Finals MVP awards. There have been better peaks but no player has sustained excellence like Taurasi, who averaged 14.9 points per game at 42 years old this past season.

Finally, after all those years, including 11 seasons overlapping between WNBA seasons and EuroLeague seasons in Russia and Turkey (she sat out the 2015 season after being paid to by her Russian team, UMMC Ekaterinburg), Taurasi is ready for the next chapter of her life. She told TIME she would shift her attention to her family, with her wife and two children, but that she wasn’t fully certain what was next for her.

“That’s the question that I still don’t have an answer for,” said Taurasi. “I really enjoy taking my kids to school, being home when they’re home, not leaving for a week at a time.”

There will undoubtedly be plenty of opportunities for Taurasi to remain part of the game of basketball, whether with a team, the league, or a broadcaster, but for right now she’s planning on taking a “sabbatical” and for the first time in more than 25 years, we won’t be able to watch one of basketball’s greatest competitors play the game.

Drake and PartyNextDoor’s Some Sexy Songs 4 U album debuted at No. 1 and Leon Thomas stopped by NPR’s office for a silky smooth Tiny Desk concert. Chloe and her labels, Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records, were named in a lawsuit for copyright infringement, while Kali Uchis said she “turned in” her follow-up to Orquîdeas. The Roots Picnic announced their 2025 festival lineup featuring D’Angelo, Miguel, Tems, Kaytranada, Elmiene, and more.

Here are the new music releases you need to listen to:

Coco Jones — “Taste”

Coco Jones is finally gearing up to release her debut album. The singer announced Why Not More? with its third single, “Taste.” The track samples Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and joins Jones’ previous singles “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” and “Most Beautiful Design” with Future as records to be heard on Why Not More? The album is due for release on April 25.

Fridayy — “February ’23”

Joining Coco Jones with an upcoming album is Fridayy, who announced his second album Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not. The project will be released on February 28, and ahead of its arrival, Fridayy released “February ’23.” The record documents the hardships and blessings that Fridayy encountered during his rise to fame.

Chxrry22 — “Just Like Me”

Ahead of her gig as an opening act for FLO’s North American tour, XO Records singer Chxrry22 returns with “Just Like Me.” The singer’s charisma and confidence spills all over the song’s bubbly production. The song joins “Poppin Out (Mistakes)” as recent singles that could land on a future EP or full-length project from Chxrry22.

Nao — Jupiter

Nearly three years after she released her third album, Nao is back with her fourth LP Jupiter. The new full-length project delivers 11 songs that Nao says makes up “an album of hope, joy, and trust, of embracing expansion after struggle, of letting go and stepping into something greater.” She adds, “This music is a reflection of that freedom, a soundtrack for the moment when you realize the universe was always working in your favor.”

Leven Kali — “Are U Still”

Los Angeles singer Leven Kali makes his long-awaited return with “Are U Still.” The new single is a funky offering from Kali, who looks for confirmation of a passionate love from his partner.

Terrace Martin — “Full Speed” Feat. DRAM & ASAP Ferg

The great Terrace Martin kicks off his 2025 campaign with another R&B record to soothe the world. “Full Speed” pairs him beside DRAM and ASAP Ferg as the singer and rapper showcase their ability to successfully shoot their shot and score the attention of a woman they desire.

Jastin Martin — “28 Degrees In Houston”

Houston singer Jastin Martin delivers a timestamp record for hometown, with a different spin. “28 Degrees In Houston” focuses on a rare cold day in the Lone Star State and Martin’s burning desire for her partner’s presence.

Durand Bernarr — Bloom

Following last year’s En Route, Cleveland singer Durand Bernarr delivers his third album Bloom. Bernarr’s captivating voice anchors the album, which is a study in transformation. “This album is about growth—discovering love beyond romance, cultivating self-acceptance, and thriving in the spaces that allow us to bloom,” Bernarr said in a press release.

Che Ecru — On My Way!

Boston native Che Ecru is back with another album to continue his streak of yearly projects that dates back to 2017. Ecru delivers On My Way! complete with 13 songs straight from his creative mind as he wrote and produced the entire project.

Zeina — “Denim”

After last year’s Eastend Confessions, Brooklyn-born and Los Angeles-bred singer Zeina kicks off her 2025 year with “Denim.” The new release is both languid and ethereal, just like her previous releases, as Zeina dares a lover to come close and hold on to her for an enticing ride.

Sofia Ly — “Tear Me Down”

Bajan and Cambodian-Canadian singer-songwriter Sofia Ly delivers an emotional and vulnerable single to kick off her 2025 year with “Tear Me Down.” The track reflects on the end of a relationship, one that she believed would last much longer.
