When Does ‘Sex Education’ Season 4 Come Out?

Class is almost in session for Netflix’s Sex Education.

The beloved British comedy series that follows a group of teenagers bumbling through the hormone-filled hellscape that is high school is set to return for its fourth and final season this fall and it’s promising one hell of a climax. Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, and Emma Mackey are all on the call sheet for the last bunch of episodes which drop on Netflix on September 21st, but a new school and new baby throw Butterfield’s likable sex savant Otis a curveball, bringing in some new players to shake things up in the show’s final run.

With Mooredale Secondary closing, Otis, Eric (Gatwa), and the rest of their classmates are forced to integrate with the student body at Cavendish Sixth Form College, a high-tech and progressive academy that might not need Otis’ brand of homeschooled sex therapy. While they try to avoid being relegated to losers once more, Mackey’s Maeve is across the pond, studying under an eccentric and illustrious author. And, as if the stress of the classroom wasn’t enough, Otis’ mom Jean (Anderson) has a newborn demanding most of her attention at home.

Sex Education has become a fan favorite on the streamer for how it deftly balances comedy with insightful storylines surrounding LGBTQ+ issues so fans should expect more of the same from the show’s final season — plus character arcs that end with everyone satisfied.

Ben Simmons Wants To Return To Philly If He’s Traded Again

Ben Simmons‘ time as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers came to a very unceremonious end. After spending the start of the 2021-22 NBA season away from the team, Simmons was sent to the Brooklyn Nets as part of the package that sent James Harden to Philadelphia. It was a strange departure, one that came on the heels of Simmons struggling in and being scapegoated for the team’s Eastern Conference Semifinal loss to the Atlanta Hawks the year before, and since joining the Nets, he hasn’t been able to regain the form that made him one of the most uniquely talented players in the league.

The hope for the 2023-24 campaign is that Simmons will be back to 100 percent health and ready to help an upstart Brooklyn team as it moves out of the Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving era. But before that happens, Simmons sat down with Marc J. Spears of Andscape and revealed that he’s very open to a return to Philadelphia someday.

“I had a lot of fun there,” Simmons said when asked to reflect on his time in the city. “It was time for me to go. When I did leave, it was good timing. Obviously, the injury and everything that was going on didn’t help. But I think it gave me a chance to really appreciate it. I’ll always have love for Philly. People always ask me like, ‘If you were to get traded again where you want it to be?’ I always say, ‘Just Philly. Philly is a second home to me.’ And in time, you learn and grow as people. I don’t really have anything bad to say about Philly. It was a crazy situation at the end, but it is what it is.”

Well, there you have it: If Daryl Morey wants a solution to his “I need to trade Harden somewhere” problem, a new option has presented itself in the form of Ben Simmons.

The Future Of A Post Malone And Bob Dylan Collab Might Be In Doubt, Despite Malone Being ‘In Tears’ Over Dylan’s Contribution

Post Malone is a major Bob Dylan fan and there’s plenty of evidence of that. One of the most-circulated online videos of pre-fame Posty is him covering Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right.” In 2020, Malone told Uproxx that after his set of Nirvana covers, he’d be keen to put on a performance of Dylan songs. It turns out Malone apparently had the opportunity to collaborate with the folk icon, but it appears the future of the partially finished song is now in doubt.

This is according to a new Rolling Stone interview with producer Michael Cash, who was involved with the project. Cash says he was trying to put together an album of hip-hop artists covering Dylan songs. Dylan apparently approved of Posty and event sent along some unreleased lyrics, which Dylan had titled “Be Not Deceived,” for Malone to build a new song around. Cash says Malone was “literally in tears” when he first heard Dylan’s words.

In March 2021, Malone apparently visited Cash’s studio to record the song, and after getting the track “about 40 percent done,” Malone had to leave. Malone seemingly dragged his feet finishing the song, and according to Cash, Dylan got tired of waiting and retracted permission for Malone to use the lyrics. As Cash put it, “It just seems like nobody really managed expectations, and it just seems like nobody communicated. A really cool piece of music got made, and then it just got weird. It got really weird.”

Malone didn’t offer a comment for the story, but he seemed to address the collaboration during a 2022 interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, telling the host, “I have not met Bob Dylan but we have been… hmm, I don’t how much I’m at liberty to discuss. We’ve been chatting. He’s always just been a voice in my head. Always just appreciated the music and appreciated the songwriting.”

The Rolling Stone piece dives into more details about the Malone/Dylan story, so check it out here.

BIA And 21 Savage Dip Their Toes Into EDM On Tiësto’s Energetic ‘Both’

As more and more rappers get into into using dance-centric production (think Vince Staples’ Big Fish Theory, Leikeli47’s Shape Up, or Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind), it was only a matter of time until the biggest names in EDM came recruiting hip-hop faves to appear on more straightforward electronic fare.

Tiësto is the latest to do so, tapping BIA and 21 Savage for his ravenous new single, “Both.” “As a fan of both 21 Savage and BIA, I’m super excited to have collaborated with them on this one,” he said in a press release. “BIA and I had been looking to work together, and after sharing my new track with her and then hearing her verse I instantly knew this would be the one. Before she could cut another verse, 21 Savage hopped on and brought a whole new energy to the project! I couldn’t have asked for a better collaboration for this song!”

Tiësto has been branching out a bunch lately, working with alt-pop songwriter Tate McRae on “10:35” last November after linking up with Charli XCX in June with “Hot In It.” Earlier this year, he even took a swing at remixing the fan-favorite theme song from The White Lotus. He’s bridging the gaps between multiple genres and his own, and his timing couldn’t be more perfect as tastes evolve, expand, and melt together more than ever.

Tiësto is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

David Fincher’s ‘The Killer’: Everything To Know Including The Release Date, Trailer, And More

If there’s one thing David Fincher is going to do, it’s make a darkly lit, tension-filled trailer for his next neo-noir crime movie that gets the online film buffs buzzing. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo director took a page from that movie’s promo to tease his latest Netflix project, The Killer. Starring Michael Fassbender, the film has been in development for over a decade but judging by this first look, released by the streaming platform earlier today, it was well worth the wait.

Here’s everything we know so far about Fincher’s next masterpiece.

What Is The Killer About?

Based on a French graphic novel of the same name by author Alexis Nolent, the film follows a solitary assassin who begins to slowly unravel after a job gone wrong. Known simply as The Killer, the hitman begins the story as a cold, calculating machine, methodical in his movements and rituals before every kill. A near-miss causes him to question, if not his morality, certainly his skill, disrupting his routine and putting a target on his own back. There are currently five volumes in Nolent’s story so it’s unclear which books Fincher might be adapting here or if there’s room for a sequel.

Who Is In The Killer?

Fassbender scored the title role in Fincher’s thriller despite not appearing on-screen since 2019’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The two-time Oscar nominee has been busy racing in the European Le Mans Series where he drives for Proton Competition but he’s got a couple of blockbusters on the slate for 2023, including this crime drama. He’s joined by Tilda Swinton (Marvel’s Doctor Strange), Arliss Howard (Mank), Charles Parnell (Top Gun: Maverick), and Brazillian actress Sophie Charlotte.

When Will The Killer Be Released?

The film is expected to drop on Netflix on November 10th but it will be screened in select theaters beginning October 27th. Before that, Fincher plans to give the movie its world premiere at the 2023 Venice Film Festival.

Vivek Ramaswamy Actually Quoted Eminem While Responding To Eminem’s Cease And Desist Letter Demanding He Stop Rapping His Songs

Earlier this month, Republican primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy went viral for his butchering of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” during an impromptu performance at the Iowa State Fair. Clearly, Ramawswamy is a huge fan of the rapper, so it must have been especially neat for the GOP candidate to get hit with a cease and desist letter from Eminem.

Considering Eminem has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump, and most musicians want nothing to do with Republican politicians, Ramaswamy should’ve seen this move coming. However, Ramaswamy has a penchant for spouting off, and he did exactly that when asked by MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell to respond to the cease and desist from Enimem.

Via Mediaite:

Yeah. Look, I think that I’ll respect his wishes, but I would just say: Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?

Eminem, in his rise, used to be a guy who actually stood up to the establishment and said the things that the establishment didn’t want him to say. I think the fact that my political viewpoints may differ from his, I think people change over the course of their lives.

But I have hope for him that he will one day rediscover the renegade that made him great. And I’m rooting for that success in his life.

To be clear, that was Vivek Ramaswamy essentially arguing that the Eminem of the early 2000s would’ve been… a Republican? Apparently, there’s nothing more “renegade” than abolishing the estate tax and outlawing gay marriage. There’s no way Eminem can come back from this one.

Is Doja Cat A Satanist?

At some point in the careers of most big-name music acts, they endeavor a bizarre period of rumors that they’ve joined the mysterious secret society. Some think Rihanna, Kanye West, and Madonna could be in The Illuminati, for instance. Others have even been accused of making a human sacrifice or selling their soul to the devil for their success. For Doja Cat, instead of ignoring the whispers, she’s leaned into them hard, so much so that people are now asking: Is Doja Cat a Satanist?

At the beginning of May, the rapper shared that while visiting New York City for the Met Gala 2023, she dropped by the famous Bang Bang Tattoo studio. The result was a full-width anatomical bat piece on her back. Fans flooded the rapper’s comment section, deeming the work demonic. To that, she replied, “Your fear is not my problem,” as she provided a breakdown of the inspiration behind the art.

Forever a troll at heart, Doja poked fun at the outrage by dressing as a horned character during her YouTube Brandcast 2023 performance later that month. Her then album’s title, Hell Mouth, which has since been renamed to Scarlet, surely didn’t help claim the fan-inflicted hysteria.

On August 4, Doja followed the project’s lead single, “Attention,” with “Paint The Town Red.” In the official video for the record, Doja is featured alongside the Grim Reaper. She even appears in full black body paint, blackout pupils, and horns. Doja then repeated the look with a few minor adjustments on her upcoming single’s “Demons” cover art. But paired with her new scythe tattoo behind her ear, fans believe she’s fully embraced the dark side.

Doja remains unbothered by the criticism, writing on her Instagram Stories, “Y’all so b*tchmade you probably couldn’t make it through an episode of ‘Goosebumps’, f*ckin p*ssies.”

In 2018, Doja Cat spoke with The Fader, about her upbringing practicing Hinduism. Overall, Doja hasn’t confirmed or denied if she’s a card-carrying member of the Church Of Satan, but she is having fun stringing users online along.

‘Hack expert’ explains why the side of the bed you sleep on says a lot about your personality

Jordan Howlett recently blew people’s minds with a TikTok video where he explained why you could learn a lot about a person based on the side of the bed they prefer. Jordan is a popular TikTok creator with nearly 11 million followers who shares candid monologues, reactions, stories, life hacks and intriguing fast food secrets.

His video was a response to TikTok users Angelina & Skyler, who confessed they don’t usually pick a side of the bed.

(FYI: Your side is determined from the perspective of laying in bed. For example, sleeping on the left side means that your partner would sleep to your right.)

Howlett responded to their video by explaining why the side you choose is so important. “Psychologically speaking, humans will pick a side of the bed due to attitude towards work, personality and income,” he says.

“People who sleep on the left side of the bed psychologically have a more positive outlook on life, they can deal with heavy workloads, they’re not easily phased by stressful days and they’re calmer in a crisis than [their] counterpart,” he continues. “And they’re more confident.”

“People who sleep on the right side of the bed earn more money, have a less positive outlook on life, but are more prepared for worst-case scenarios than their counterparts,” Jordan said. Jordan ends his video with a final fact: “Also, people who are claustrophobic naturally choose to sleep near the wall.”

Although Howlett didn’t cite any specific data, his points are perfectly aligned with current research on the topic. It appears he may have taken his facts from sleep expert Hope Bastine. Recently, Bastine told Cosmopolitan that folks who sleep on the left side are more optimistic than their grumpier, right-side counterparts.

“According to research, people who sleep on the left are likely to be more cheerful than their right-side counterparts,” Bastine said. “A positive outlook allows lefties to be more capable at dealing with a heavy workload, which means they’re not as easily phased by a stressful day. Those who sleep on the left believe they are calmer than their partner in a crisis and are more confident in general.”

Funny mom lays down the law by giving her son 7 back-to-school rules that every kid must hear

The beginning of the school year is a time of positive anticipation for many students and their parents as they look towards what they hope will be a great year. Maybe this year, we can learn from all of our past mistakes, grow up a bit and make it the best year ever.

Or, we can fall into the same habits and deal with the same frustrating situations until June.

To avoid the same problems she’s had with her then 13-year-old son in the past, Ohio mom Nicole Jackson made a “PowerPoint presentation” of her seven things that won’t be happening in the new school year, “Coz this ain’t that.”

The video went viral in July of 2022, but it resonated with parents everywhere, so it’s being shared again as a pep talk for the 2023 to 2024 school year. “It doesn’t matter what race, color, or creed—motherhood is the thing that unites us,” Jackson, 43, tells TODAY.com.

Here are the seven things “We not gon’ do [this school year], coz this ain’t that.”

@thicnicjack

THIS AINT THAT BACK TO SCHOOL ADDITION! #parenthood #backtoschool #denofbigboys #foryoupage #fyp #foryou

1. Faking being sick

“What we not gonna do is change up our stomach energy. You’ve been living on a diet of hot chips, chicken nuggets, and every popsicle and disgusting drink known to man, without one stomachache. You’re not about to come to me talking about ‘my stomach hurt’ like you’ve got the intestinal tract of a geriatric Crohn’s patient,” Jackson begins.

2. Start sleeping in

“What we not gonna do is act like we can’t wake up. You’ve getting up at 6:77 every morning—and yes, I said 6:77 because it’s some ungodly hour that doesn’t exist—asking me about some breakfast,” Jackson says. “This ain’t that.”

3. Forget to have your clothes ready the night before

“I’m not about to have a slight heart attack trying to rush us out the door to get you on time for the bus,” Jackson says. “This ain’t that.”

4. Run out of school supplies

“I literally just spent $75,000 making sure everything on the list was there,” the mother says. “You’re not about to keep losing everything.”

5. Tell me about things the night before

“I’m not about to get my blood pressure up running around here to get all these supplies, find an outfit or do a project into the wee hours of the morning,” Jackson says.

6. Complain about lunches

“What we not gonna do is complain about the lunches that are packed for you,” Jackson notes. “I literally took you to the store and asked you if every separate item was OK, but then when I went to put it together in a lunch that’s nutritious, now all of a sudden, it’s trash.”

7. Ask if dinner is ready

This year, Jackson warns her son to stop asking if dinner is ready “55 times” when he gets home from school. “I told you to eat the lunch that I provided, that you told me was OK, but now is trash,” she says.

Jackson’s video connected with teachers and parents.

“Can you please speak at every school?????” Gregisms wrote.

“Ma’am, respectfully, do you do presentations via Zoom?? Cause my boy needs this,” Whitty added.

“Omg, as a teacher, can we get copies of this slide show for our students for the first day!!!” a teacher wrote.

Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ Is Getting A Wide Release, Including IMAX Screenings (!!!)

The Oppenheimer affect can already be felt.

As the Christopher Nolan film inches closer to $1 billion at the global box office, Apple Original Films revealed on Tuesday that Killers of the Flower Moon, another three-hour drama full of character actors, is getting a wider release than originally announced, including IMAX screenings. It was originally scheduled for a limited rollout on October 6, but Martin Scorsese’s adaptation of David Grann’s book will now come out everywhere on October 20th.

Killers of the Flower Moon — which was called yet another masterpiece from one of America’s greatest directors when it premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival — will also play in IMAX theaters before coming to Apple TV+ at an undisclosed date.

Here’s more:

At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder. Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), Killers of the Flower Moon is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal.

Killers of the Flower Moon stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, John Lithgow, and Brendan Fraser.
