At long last, Offset is giving us a taste of his second solo album. Tonight (July 28), he has shared his new single, “Jealousy,” featuring none other than his wife, Cardi B.

While the song’s title seems to allude to jealousy within their marital dynamic, the two are actually addressing people who spew hate at them out of jealousy.

The song is accompanied by a cinematic visual inspired by the 2001 movie, Baby Boy — and features a cameo from Baby Boy actress Taraji P. Henson.

Though Offset and Cardi are rather ubiquitous in the entertainment landscape, the former often keeps to himself regarding their marriage. But in a recent interview with Variety, the former Migo shared that Cardi has transformed his life for the better.

“She always got my back, right or wrong,” he said. “We both are on the same mission to make each other better. Social is her strong point, so I listen to her social advice. And me, it’s the music, but I play behind the scenes; it’s my wife so I want to make sure she win…We’re a powerhouse at this point — icon status. We believe in God. We believe in family. We’re always going to keep winning.”

Travis Scott‘s fourth studio album, Utopia, is finally here. Over the course of the past week, the album has caused a lot of mixed emotions for Scott’s fans. While many fans are lauding Utopia‘s five different album artworks, some are devasted that Scott’s Egypt concert — which was set to live stream from the Giza pyramids — has been canceled. We can’t imagine how the fan who sold his house to buy tickets must feel.

But regardless, Utopia is finally here and in the hands of fans. As with any of Scott’s albums, Utopia features a coveted list of guests. But one particular track is already proving buzzy among fans.

On “Delresto (Echoes)” Scott is joined by another Houston legend — the one and only Beyoncé.

Over a thrilling, haunting beat, Bey opens, showing off her rap chops, then delivering immaculate melodies.

“Statues in the next room / billions in Escrow / bulletproof the whole thing / ignore the dress code / Step into the ballroom / So hard to let go / Things that never give life / I can see the echoes,” she raps feverously, before delivering an intoxicating hook.

The last time the world received an album from Travis Scott was back in 2018 with the highly anticipated release of his third album Astroworld. The project would go on to receive a Grammy nomination and spawn a Diamond single with the Drake-assisted “Sicko Mode,” among other accolades. Almost four years later, Travis Scott is hoping for the same success with his upcoming fourth album Utopia. It’s a project that’s been four years in the making, but at long last, it will finally be available for fans to stream tonight.

Ahead of its release, Travis Scott took to Instagram to reveal the tracklist for Utopia. The project with 19 songs, including the previously released “KPop” with Bad Bunny and The Weeknd. Just like he did with Astroworld, Travis chose to withhold the features on Utopia, so listeners will have to wait until its release at 12 am EST/9 pm EST to find out the artists that appear on Utopia.

Along with the album’s release comes the arrival of his Circus Maximus film, which you can find out more about here.

Flo Milli has been on top of her game this past summer. Having dropped reimaginings of Too Short’s “Blow The Whistle” and Lil Wayne’s “A Milli,” Flo has shown us that she’s a master of various flows and cadences, as she switches up her stylings. But with her new single, “Fruit Loop,” she’s giving us more flavors of her own.

With “Fruit Loop,” Flo delivers rhymes that are both hard and humorous, as she rides a fast-paced beat with pure ease.

“Bubble gum, chew, chew / eat me like Fruit Loop / Everything I do make the boys go cuckoo,” she raps on the song’s catchy chorus.

As Flo is known to do, she makes it known that she runs the game, and won’t be easily swayed by men. On one of the song’s notable lines, she raps, “Stalkin’ my page, so I came to fruition / Poof! He left you, guess I’m a magician / I can’t let him go if I like how he please me / Bae hit the spot, make me sing like the Bee Gees / Tryna talk big but he got a lil’ pee pee.”

Additionally, the song filled with sugary references to sweet candies and iconic cereals.

Lizzo is a woman of many talents — singing, songwriting, dancing, and flute-playing. But if you’re one of her fans, you probably know this already. Still, she always finds a way to keep the surprises coming. Today (June 27), the “About Damn Time” hitmaker took to TikTok to share a special recorder rendition of a cinema classic.

Dressed in true Lord Of The Rings fashion, Lizzo played the songs “Concerning Hobbits” from the film series with her handy-dandy recorder.

The clip arrived after Lizzo’s show in Auckland, New Zealand, and she paid a visit to the city’s Matamata film set. Earlier in the week, she shared a clip of herself playing the song on the recorder, which had also gone viral.

In addition to the TikTok, Lizzo shared a series of posts on Instagram of herself and her boyfriend Myke Wright visiting the set.

“House hunting,” she captioned one of the carousels, in which, she was seen wearing an all-green outfit with a pounamu necklace, while standing in front of a Hobbitown home.

In another post, Lizzo re-shared the TikTok video to her Instagram page, and captioned it “Lizzolas in her natural habitat…”

While Burna Boy has grown into a full-fledged superstar in the recent global surge of afro-fusion popularity, don’t get it twisted — Burna is no flash in the pan, as he’s been putting in work for years. Today (July 27), Burna is celebrating his growth with the release of his new single, “Big 7”

On “Big 7,” Burna expresses gratitude for the journey that has landed him at his goals, and is thankful for the growth he’s experienced along the way.

“First of all / Rest in peace Virgil Abloh / Don’t spill no drink on my clothes when I’m Louis V dripping / Don’t like stress on my dome /Straight to the head when I’m 1942 sippin /Been wavy since morning / No dey talk to me in public,” he sings in the song’s opening verse.

The song is accompanied by a music video shot in New York City, and features Burna visiting cultural staples. RZA, Busta Rhymes, Junior Mafia, and Shameik Moore all make cameos in the video

“‘Big 7’ is a melodic tribute to embracing new heights in my musical journey,” said Burna Boy in a statement. “The title represents a symbolic aspiration to reach greater horizons, with the number seven embodying an attainable and harmonious growth.”

“Big 7” arrives ahead of Burna’s seventh studio album, I Told Them…, which he announced earlier with a career-highlighting trailer.

First rootin’ tootin’ Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene squabbled on the House floor, and now, two dude representatives are going at it like frat bros. Is Congress alright?

It doesn’t appear so. They have been at each other’s throats even more than usual, which is saying something because politics is not a friendly game or profession. Friction between Boebert and Greene recently heated up and graduated not only into a bathroom fight but also a House floor altercation that included Greene calling Boebert a “little b*tch” over a rivalry involving articles of impeachment against President Biden.

Now, yes, a couple of male senators are reportedly doing even worse. The Daily Beast reports that this dust-up took place on June 21 when Democrats and Republicans came to verbal blows over censuring Rep. Adam Schiff. This apparently led to Swalwell turning to McCarthy and declaring, “This is pathetic” and “You’re a weak man.” Neither man would confirm or deny these claims to the press, but The Daily Beast heard from two (anonymous) House members who relayed that the situation grew much worse on June 22 when McCarthy saw Swalwell during a bathroom break. Sh*t reportedly got real:

“McCarthy said, ‘If you ever say something like that to me again, I’m gonna kick the shi*t out of you,’” a member claimed to The Daily Beast.

Another member who witnessed the exchange provided even more context: “They were in each other’s faces. Basically nose-to-nose. And Swalwell said something like, ‘Are we really gonna do this?’”

After some back-and-forth, with chests puffed out, McCarthy issued a challenge to Swalwell: “Call me a pu**y again, and I’ll kick your a**,” the Speaker allegedly said.

At which point, the two House members both told The Daily Beast, Swalwell answered like this: “You. Are. A. P***y.”

Once again, I ask whether lawmakers are alright? The heat seems to be getting to everyone, but if this story is true, then these two need to take more than a chill pill.

NLE Choppa has the summer on lock. With his bouncy Lil Wayne collaboration “Ain’t Gonna Answer,” along with his X-rated Sexyy Red remix of “Slut Me Out,” Choppa is slowing down. Tonight, he has dropped a nostalgic new single, “It’s Getting Hot,” which is inspired by an early aughts classic.

“It’s Getting Hot” features a prominent sample of Nelly’s “Hot In Herre,” and even features Choppa replicating the chorus.

“It’s getting hot in here / so take off all your clothes,” raps Choppa, to which a female voice responds, “I am getting so hot, I wanna take my clothes off.”

Of course, Choppa gives the song his own touch, with his raunchy bars throughout.

The song’s accompanying music video even features Choppa channeling Nelly, wearing baggy jeans, a wife-beater, and Nelly’s signature under-eye bandage. In the clip are several callbacks to the 2000s, including a part where Choppa is rapping in the booth, reading from a Sidekick phone. Elsewhere in the video is a woman swinging her hips, with “NLEVILLE,” printed on the backside — an allusion to Nelly’s 2002 album, Nellyville.

Shohei Ohtani is the greatest baseball player in the game today. He made the AL All-Star team as both a hitter and pitcher, touts a 3.43 ERA and 1.070 OPS, and has mashed a league-leading 38 home runs. Atlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson sits in a distant second with 32 dingers. Ohtani’s 1.070 OPS is also tops across MLB, 80 points higher than Freddie Freeman’s runner-up, .990 clip.

On Tuesday morning and afternoon, Ohtani showcased the entirety of his distinct prowess as the Angels faced the Detroit Tigers in a doubleheader. To open the two-game slate, Ohtani spun nine innings of one-hit ball with eight strikeouts, three walks and zero runs for the first complete game shutout of his MLB career and the Angels won, 6-0.

A few hours later, he slid into the lineup as Los Angeles’ designated hitter and hit a pair of homers (three RBIs) during his three at-bats before exiting because of cramping. Over the span of half a day, Ohtani completed two achievements plenty of accomplished pitchers and hitters fail to do throughout an entire career: a complete game shutout and a two-homer game.

The dude is ridiculous and his mastery is helping the Angels stay afloat in the AL Wild Card race, despite Mike Trout having missed the past 3.5 weeks due to a fracture in his left hand. Los Angeles is currently 53-49 and 3.5 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays, which own the third Wild Card. As of now, the Angels are leading the Tigers, 8-4, in the top of the ninth, so that gap could be narrowed to three games within the next hour. Not a shabby day for Ohtani or the Angels, I suppose.
