While Donald Trump has spent more than a week desperately attempting to erase the fact that he hosted infamous white supremacist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes for dinner at Mar-a-Lago, he apparently sees no issue in welcoming a group of QAnon conspiracy theorists to his Palm Beach golf club. (His “supernanny” must have had the night off.)

As The Daily Beast reports, Trump spent Tuesday night meeting with — and fawning over — a group of QAnon conspiracy theorists who were hosting a far-right fundraiser at the former president’s Palm Beach golf club and residence. Liz Crokin, a noted Pizzagate theorist, took to Telegram to write about what a “privilege and honor” it was “to speak at America’s Future fundraiser to combat child trafficking at Mar-A-Lago.” She also noted that she did, indeed, discuss Pizzagate.

For his part, Trump just seemed thrilled that anyone was excited to meet him. In a video that was filmed at the event, he told the room full of QAnon quacks that “You are incredible people, you are doing unbelievable work, and we just appreciate you being here, and we hope you’re going to be back.”

The Daily Beast did not receive a response after reaching out to the Trump campaign for a comment.

Stephen King continues to make Twitter worth browsing despite, well, the current situation over there. The microwave salmon and English muffin addict is known to swing far and wide with his subjects of discussion. I still want to know more about why he’s so drawn to Manifest (does he love the soap-operatics of the story, or is he entertained by herrings so red that they’s positively bleeding?). For now, the regular dad jokes and literary references will do.

In this installment of mundane-yet-still-entertaining tweet subjects, King took a diversion into favorite t-shirt land. Here’s the Cell author’s prime example from his own dresser: “If you go home with somebody and they don’t have books, don’t fuck ’em.”

Those are wise words. I’d add that the books should bear a slightly worn quality, which suggests that they’re not mere impulse purchases that turned into strategic slices of decor. A well-stocked Kindle should qualify, in my opinion, although that’s obviously nothing that one can or should dig into unless invited. There should also be an addendum on the back of a t-shirt to showcase how Elaine from Seinfeld feels about bathroom books. That might kill the vibe for some people, but it could also help. Heck, I say that it’s a good weeding-out process for the future.

There are a ton of different ways musicians can tackle holiday songs. There’s the Phoebe Bridgers approach, which is just picking the bleakest Christmas ballad you can find and making it even sadder, like with last month’s “So Much Wine.” You can write your own song, like David Byrne just did with “Fat Man’s Comin’.” The Linda Lindas went the latter route, sharing the invigorating “Groovy Xmas,” and now they’ve performed it on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

On a stage lit up with red and green and decorated with Christmas trees, the band brought their holiday spirit and punk energy, bundling both into one. They got the audience dancing as they propelled the song forward with exciting riffs and catchy harmonies.

About the track, The Linda Lindas said upon its release, “There are so many cool Christmas songs that we love to dance to, and a lot of them are by our favorite punk bands: Alice Bag, Red Kross, Shonen Knife. We were inspired by them to write our own carol that you can add to your jolly playlist and enjoy at holiday gatherings! Atlanta rapper Young Nudy has been on the rise over the past couple of years after dropping well-received projects such as the Sli’merre mixtape with Pi’erre Bourne, and his albums Anyways, Dr. Ev4l, and Rich Shooter. Most recently, he reunited with Bourne for EA Monster and featured on Metro Boomin’s star-studded new album Heroes & Villains alongside his cousin 21 Savage, raising his profile considerably in 2022. So, it’s understandable that fans are hungry for more new music from Nudy; however, someone went to more extreme lengths to get it, resulting in the leak of over 100 songs from Nudy and fellow Atlanta rappers like 21, Gunna, and Young Thug. Obviously, Nudy was not happy with the culprit.

“I don’t know if y’all know, I’m not like other rappers,” he responded in a video posted on his social media. “I’m 100 percent finna take my time out to find out 100 percent who exactly is leaking my music. And I’m 100 percent gonna pull up at whatever studio it is and I’m 100 percent gon’ beat your ass, on my mama.”

Considering the leak was mostly Atlanta-based artists, the going theory is that the leaker(s) had access to a recording studio frequented by the above names and likely made off with a hard drive containing the tracks (sort of the downside of digital audio recording. It’s way harder to steal tapes). It’s also possible that the hard drive was mislaid or even stolen when an engineer took it home for legitimate reasons.

Let’s hope that, for once, the police find the leakers and bring them to justice before Nudy does anything that could land him in jail. We want to see him flourish, not get caught up over some nonsense.

Those are the first three YouTube comments I saw under the trailer for Infinity Pool. They’re right to say it. The new film from Brandon Cronenberg (David’s son) stars Alexander Skarsgård and Cleopatra Coleman as a married couple staying at an island resort, but after they encounter “the seductive and mysterious Gabi,” played by Goth, and leave the grounds, weird sh*t starts to happen. It’s a strong follow-up to Goth’s excellent 2022, where she gave career-best performances in X and Pearl.

While staying at an isolated island resort, James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. While Herschel “I’d Rather Be a Werewolf” Walker’s loss to Raphael Warnock in the Georgia Senate runoff election was the big news on Wednesday, a pretty big story about Donald Trump also emerged. As Jimmy Kimmel shared on Wednesday night, at least two more classified documents were found in a storage unit the former president keeps in Palm Beach.

As Kimmel explained, per The Washington Post, Trump’s legal team completed a search of both his Bedminster golf club and Trump Tower and came up with bupkis as far as any top-secret documents go. “They did a lot of digging, and all they came up with was an ex-wife,” said Kimmel — who we truly wish was joking. They did, however, find some classified info floating around another spot, Kimmel said:

While no top-secret files were found at the golf club in Bedminster or at Trump Tower, his team did find at least two classified documents in a storage locker he keeps in Palm Beach. According to a source, they found the documents alongside suits, swords, and wrestling belts.

You know, it’s a sad day when you realize your former president’s storage unit and your 5-year old son’s Christmas list are exactly the same.

This week brought news of a massive shake-up at DC Studios as James Gunn prepares to unveil his sprawling 10-yea plans for the franchise. Tucked inside The Hollywood Reporter‘s bombshell report on Gunn and co-chief Peter Safran pulling the plug on Wonder Woman 3 is an interesting little nugget about Jason Momoa. The actor is still putting the finishing touches on the upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which may be his last time as the aquatic character.

According to several insiders, Aquaman will be the final project shoved out the door by the previous regime and what’s shaping up to to be the last vestige of the Snyderverse whose presence at DC Studios appears to be rapidly dwindling. However, in an unprecedented move, Momoa could be making the jump to another DC Comics character: The “foul-mouthed cigar-chomping intergalactic bounty hunter” Lobo.

Whether or not Momoa does play everybody’s favorite bastich, Lobo emerging as a rising character early on in the conversation may point to the kinds of characters the Gunn-Safran team may be focusing on. The character is an outsider, an anti-hero, and is keeping in line with Gunn’s specialty of taking the off-beat and quirky and flipping it into crowd-pleasing fare.

Interestingly, the Lobo news jibes with recent public comments by both Momoa and Gunn. Last month, Momoa revealed that one of his “dreams come true” will be happening over at DC Studios, and Gunn recently teased fans by sharing that his Spotify Wrapped list contained a hint to his secret DC project. After noticing a heavy amount of rock, particularly “Sleaze Rock,” fans filled up Gunn’s replies with speculation that the writer/director would be bringing Lobo to the DC Universe.

Gunn has yet to address the THR report, but given his penchant for openly communicating with fans, it should only be a matter of time until we get some concrete answers from the man himself.

If Donald Trump’s unhinged presidency taught us one thing, it’s that a failed reality star should not hold public office. And while Trump has been happily taking credit for convincing Herschel Walker to run in the first place — despite Walker’s insistence that it was God who told him to run (Trump thinks his name and God’s are interchangeable) — Seth Meyers reminded us that way back in 2009, Herschel competed on The Celebrity Apprentice and got the axe with a classic “You’re fired!”

On Wednesday night, Walker’s defeat in the Georgia runoff election was still all anyone could talk about. But Meyers says the signs were there all along that Raphael Warnock would ultimately triumph. “One way you know that Herschel Walker was deeply unqualified to serve in the United States Senate was that even Republicans would rarely let him go on FOX NEWS by himself,” the Late Night host said, noting that the former Heisman winner was usually accompanied by Lindsay Graham — who also did most of the talking. (Except for that time where both Graham and Ted Cruz were with Walker and he exclaimed that “This erection is for the people!”)

The other key indicator that Walker wasn’t fit to lead a state, according to Meyers, is the fact that Trump himself — the man who took pride in claiming to be Walker’s puppetmaster — actually fired him during season 8 of The Celebrity Apprentice. As Meyers reminded us:

Walker was so deeply unqualified that much of the time it didn’t seem like he even knew what was going on. Even Walker’s fellow Republicans warned months ago that he could lose. The only reason he was even a candidate for Senate in the first place was that he was once on Donald Trump’s game show. Donald Trump fired him from The Celebrity Apprentice, but thought he might do better in the United States Senate. ‘Herschel, I don’t know if you’re ready to sell corn dogs in Times Square, so let’s put you in charge of the U.S. military first.’”

Machine Gun Kelly is having another good year. He not only presented some nominees for next year’s Grammys (albeit remarkably unenthusiastically), he was also nominated himself for Best Rock Album. The only issue is that he proved at the AMAs last month that he’s a bit of a hazard at award shows, due to dangerous outfits.

The Mainstream Sellout performer showed up to the AMAs in a spiked jumpsuit that many people online expressed concerns about. He even acknowledged it while accepting the Favorite Rock Artist award, saying it was “uncomfortable to pee in.” However, he’s shared more about that chaotic look during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

“Everyone I loved couldn’t show me any of their love,” he deadpanned. Kimmel said, “This is like the things they use to keep pigeons off the fence,” and MGK agreed.

Kimmel added, “You really put Lionel Richie in danger here,” pointing to a photo of the two sitting next to each other in the audience, which circulated the Internet and had some users mad at MGK. Kelly explained that he and his team didn’t account for the sitting down part, and the staff wasn’t too happy about that. “It took me all this time and then I saw Lionel Richie coming and I saw an empty seat next to me and I was like, ‘Please don’t make this man sit next to this stupid suit,’ and he came over and sat down. He inspected it and touched it. We were so close I was scared to clap for Wayne Brady, so every time he made a joke I just looked like I was unentertained, but I didn’t want to impale Lionel Richie.”

In January, Celine Dion announced that she was canceling 19 North American dates of her Courage World Tour, citing “severe and persistent muscle spasms which are preventing her from performing.” Then, in April, her “health issues” caused her to reschedule European dates. The “My Heart Will Go On” legend is ending 2022 on a similarly sad note.

Dion, 54, shared an emotional Instagram video this morning (December 8), postponing 23 spring 2023 Courage World Tour dates to 2024 and canceling eight summer 2023 dates. The updated schedule can be seen here, but fans will be more concerned about the five-time Grammy winner’s overall well-being after watching her heartbreaking video. Dion frequently paused to hold back tears as she looked directly into the camera and specified her ongoing health battle.

“Hello, everyone. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to reach out to you. I miss you all so much, and I can’t wait to be on stage talking to you in person. As you know, I’ve always been an open book, and I wasn’t ready to say anything before, but I’m ready now,” Dion began. “I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through. Recently, I’ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called stiff-person syndrome, which affects something like one in a million people.”

She continued, “While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we know now this is what’s been causing all of the spasms that I have been having. Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life — sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to. It hurts me to tell you today this means I won’t be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February.”

Dion added that she has “a great team of doctors” helping her “get better” and acknowledged “her precious children […] supporting me and giving me hope.” She has three sons, 21-year-old René-Charles and 11-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson, with René Angélil. Her late husband passed away from throat cancer in January 2016.

“I’m working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to build back my strength and my ability to perform again, but I have to admit it’s been a struggle,” Dion concluded. “All I know is singing; it’s what I’ve done all my life, and it’s what I love to do the most. I miss you so much. I miss seeing all of you. Being on the stage, performing with you. I always give 100 percent when I do my shows, but my condition is not allowing me to do that right now. For me to reach you again, I have no choice but to concentrate on my health at this moment, and I have hope that I’m on the road to recovery. This is my focus, and I’m doing everything that I can to recuperate.”

According to Cleveland Clinic, stiff-person syndrome (SPS) is “a rare autoimmune movement disorder that affects the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord)” and eventually causes “the development of stiffness and rigidity in the legs and other muscles in the body.” Cleveland Clinic additionally relays that muscle spasms, like Dion noted experiencing, usually “occur randomly or can be triggered by noise, emotional distress and light physical touch.”
