‘This Erection Is For The People’: Herschel Walker Gave Us A Freudian Slip For The Ages While Awkwardly Sandwiched Between Babysitters Ted Cruz And Lindsey Graham On Fox News

While a runoff election in Georgia is probably not at the top of your list of things to be thankful for this year, if you’re looking for a bright spot in the mayhem of the 2022 midterms, perhaps it’s this: Herschel Walker’s “erection.”

On Tuesday night, the wannabe senator whose campaign has been wall-to-wall bedlam with secret children (plural!) coming out of the woodwork, accusations of abortion checks in get well cards, impersonating a police officer during a debate, the most inane political speeches in American history, and basic language flubs that would make a kindergartner roll his eyes. But it turns out that all of that was just an appetizer to the turkey of a performance Walker gave on Tuesday night while being interviewed by Sean Hannity on Fox News.

Actually, “being interviewed” might be a bit of misnomer, as Walker — the actual candidate — was weirdly sandwiched between Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham, who were clearly meant to command the nearly 12-minute interview and speak for Herschel in some sort of bizarro ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ act. It probably didn’t hurt Walker’s likability factor to be the meat in a Most Hated Republicans sandwich. When the actual candidate did finally get a chance to talk — with Cruz and Graham visibly hanging on his every word — he told (or at least attempted to tell) Hannity that this election is about more than just him:

Well, first of all, this election is more than Herschel Walker. This erection is about the people.

No, that’s not a typo. Yes, he said “erection.”

Even the closed captioning system picked up that Walker had uttered a different word, though — at least on Ted Cruz’s YouTube page — it went with “direction.” Which is most definitely NOT what Walker said.

50 Cent Was Surprised By How Many Millions Of Dollars He’s Spent In Legal Fees Since 2003

For one reason or another, 50 Cent has found himself in a number of legal situations over the years. That means legal fees, and when the rapper learned just how much he’s paid in legal fees since coming to fame with Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ in 2003, the number shocked him.

In a recent interview with Brian J. Roberts (at 47:29 into the video above), 50 explained, “I spent over $23 million legal fees since I’ve had success in 2003. Over $23 million in legal fees. So when you say you successful or that you rich in a different way, that money was just written off as expenses of business. You in it and I’m going, ‘What?’ When I’m looking at it myself, ‘That’s how much you really spent on that?’ I was like, ‘Wow!’”

He continued, “The only thing someone in America can do is sue someone. They’re gonna sue and there always gonna be pro-bono or say, ‘We’ll defend you in exchange for 30 percent of what we receive off of this, because we do see a case.’”

His latest courtroom activity is a case over penis enhancement claims that is set to go to trial in 2023. Of the case, he commented, “Yeah my d*ck is a BIG DEAL.”

The Actor Who Plays Namor In ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Discussed The Rumor About His, Um, Bulge

It’s the tweet that launched a thousand eggplant emojis:

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, actor Tenoch Huerta plays sympathetic baddie Namor, and a certain part of his body may have been digitally manipulated to appear, let’s say, less prominent. Is there any truth to the viral tweet/rumor?

“The only thing that I can say is: the original was the photo in the right. Without [the bulge]! That’s original,” he told Rolling Stone with a laugh. “No, I mean, I’m not going to lie to people. Every man in the world, we have fragile masculinity, but not in that issue. I will say, the right one, the real one is the photo on the right.”

Huerta also discussed having to constantly walk around in a Speedo as Namor. “Concerned! I actually worry about it. No, it’s a big problem, man. I can’t cut off my amount of tacos from now on. But, yeah, it’s funny,” he said.

The actor then revealed what his trainer told him: “Okay, man, now you can rest, you can chill, and take your time. But not too much, because if you have to play Namor one more time, you need to go through the same process all over again. So it’s better you take care of yourself and don’t get crazy with tacos.” Getting paid millions to star in a Marvel movie sounds good — but going crazy with tacos sounds better. Not worth it, honestly.

A Documentary About Rihanna’s Live Comeback At The Super Bowl Halftime Show Is Reportedly In The Works

Rihanna has been noticeably absent on the music front in recent years, which makes her upcoming performance at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show even more significant than it inherently already is. Now, it looks like the process of putting that spectacle together is getting the documentary treatment

The Sun cites a “music insider” as saying:

“There is a massive appetite for everything to do with Rihanna, especially as this will be her major return to the stage for the first time in years. She will be recorded during rehearsals and meetings in the lead-up to the big night and give an insight into what her life is really like now she is returning to pop as a mum. Rihanna is a massive force to be reckoned with when it comes to music and so Apple has paid millions.

The Super Bowl is one of, if not the, biggest stages in the world, so her show was always going to be huge. Add on top of that it’s a live comeback and the pressure is immense. She is keen for the world to remember why she is one of the greatest performers of all time.”

As for where the film will be seen, Rihanna has reportedly signed “a huge deal with Apple” for it to appear on Apple TV+.

Charles Barkley On Patrick Beverley Shoving Deandre Ayton: ‘This Dude Is Begging For A Two Piece’

Patrick Beverley went to the locker room a little early during Tuesday night’s game between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers. After Devin Booker committed a flagrant foul on Austin Reaves, both Booker and Deandre Ayton stood over the second-year guard. In response, Beverley came running up behind Ayton and shoved him in the back, causing him to trip over Reaves.

Beverley got ejected from the game as a result. It’s not the first time this sort of thing has happened between Beverley and a Suns player, as the veteran guard shoved Chris Paul from behind back when he was a member of the Clippers — Booker, when asked about the incident, said explicitly that Beverley has to stop shoving players from behind.

The clip of his run-in with Paul got played on Inside the NBA, and maybe surprisingly, the fact that this is not the first time this sort of thing has happened with Beverley made Barkley laugh.

“This dude is begging for a two piece,” Barkley said. “Begging for a two piece. I’m telling y’all, this dude, he might get a whole bucket of chicken if he keeps messing around with the wrong person.”

The NBA has not announced any potential further penalty for Beverley. When he was ejected for shoving Paul, Beverley ended up getting a 1-game suspension.

Pat Beverley Got Ejected From Lakers-Suns After He Shoved Deandre Ayton In The Back

Things got testy in the fourth quarter of Tuesday night’s game between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers. Suns star Devin Booker tried to contest an effort by Lakers guard Austin Reaves, but got a little too much of his face and would get hit with a Flagrant 1 foul.

Reaves hit the deck as a result, and in the aftermath, both Booker and Deandre Ayton would stand over him. This drew the ire of one of Reaves’ teammates, so Patrick Beverley came running in and shoved Ayton, who would fall to the ground after stumbling over Reaves.

Ayton’s teammates came running in, and while a full-blown fight did not break out, the teams had to be separated before the officials sat down to figure out what punishments to hand out for all of this. While Beverley would go on to get ejected, the Flagrant 1 foul assessed to Booker meant that Reaves would go on to shoot free throws.

When asked about the incident on TNT after the game, Booker expressed that he doesn’t like that Beverley shoved Ayton’s back, and said if he’s going to do that, he should shove Ayton’s chest.

The Suns would pick up a 115-105 win on the evening.

Ben Simmons On The Boos He Got In His Return To Philly: ‘I Thought It Was Going To Be Louder’

Ben Simmons played his first game of basketball in the City of Brotherly Love in a year and a half on Tuesday night. The Brooklyn Nets made the trip down to Philadelphia to take down a hobbled 76ers squad, but despite the fact that Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Tyrese Maxey were all out with injuries, Philadelphia managed to pick up a 115-106 victory.

For Simmons, this marked his first game in the city since the team decided to trade him at the deadline last season as part of a package that landed them Harden. While he had a nice game — Simmons went for 11 points on 4-for-7 shooting with 11 assists, seven rebounds, three steals, and three blocks in 32 minutes of work — it ultimately was not enough.

The fans in Philly were, unsurprisingly, pretty fired up about the game. Simmons did not receive an especially warm welcome from the folks at the Wells Fargo Center, as they booed him during pregame introductions and throughout the night. When asked about it after the game, Simmons seemed to take the whole thing in stride.

“I thought it was gonna be louder,” Simmons told the press. If the entire history of Philadelphia sports is any indication, Sixers fans will assuredly take this to heart and be louder when Simmons and the Nets return to town on Jan. 25, 2023.

Latto Is Making It Clear She Doesn’t Care That 130 Songs Of Hers Were Leaked

Latto is having a wild year after receiving her first Grammy nominations and getting called a Karen by Nicki Minaj. However, it’s gotten even crazier since 130(!) unreleased songs of hers were leaked. Having music leaked is awful for artists, especially when it’s so many songs, but Latto is not letting it ruin her mood.

The rapper posted a playful TikTok of her twerking in a hot tub with words typed out over the video: “POV: Dancing to ur leaked music for ur man.” She also shared it on her Twitter, writing, “Y’all making me regret scrapping these songs 🥴.”

She also tweeted some pictures and a video from a killer photoshoot and added the clever caption: “Trending 💋.”

Latto’s beef with Minaj started when Minaj’s song “Super Freaky Girl” was classified as a Pop record for the Grammy Awards, while Latto’s “Fantasy”-sampling “Big Energy” was not. Minaj tweeted, “I have no prob being moved out the RAP category as long as we r ALL being treated FAIRLY. If SFG has 2B moved out RAP then so does Big Energy! ANY1 who says diff is simply a Nicki hater or a troll. I’d actually LUV 2 c a more street record win- male OR female! IJS rightIsRight.”

A mom whose 19-yr-old died by suicide has a vital message for parents about marijuana today

Editor’s Note: This article originally appeared on 02.21.20. The opinions expressed in this piece are solely those of the author and the subjects written about or quoted.

Laura Stack’s son Johnny lost his life to suicide three months ago when he was just 19 years old. Though she says the grief of his death is “still fresh,” Stack took to Facebook to share something that happened three days before Johnny died, hoping it will help other parents whose kids may be at risk.

She wrote:

“On Sunday, November 17, 2019 around 5:30 PM, he came over for dinner. He lived in our condo a couple miles down the street and would often pop in for a home-cooked meal. This evening, he was a bit agitated but lucid. ‘I need to tell you that you were right,’ he told me. ‘Right about what?’ I asked. ‘Right about the marijuana and the drugs. You told me weed and drugs would hurt my brain, and it’s ruined my mind and my life. You were right all along. I’m sorry, and I love you.’ He died by suicide three days later.

Stack explained that Johnny had “dabbed” since he was 15 or 16. “Do you understand the difference between smoking pot (and some edibles) and dabbing high-THC wax, shatter, or butter?” she asked. “Most of my friends look at me blankly when I say these words and say, ‘I’ve never even heard about this.’ If you don’t know what cannabis extracts are, and you have children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews between the ages of 14 and 24, PLEASE keep reading.”

“I am NOT talking about those of you who are supporters of legal recreational marijuana for adults over 21 years old—it’s your life—do what you want,” Stack clarified. “I know some people who take it successfully for specific medical purposes, so please don’t write comments in my post about my personal experience. I’m specifically talking about illegal usage by children and young adults under 21, whose adolescent brains are still forming. You may be thinking, ‘C’mon, Laura, it’s no big deal – it’s just pot.’ ‘Pot’s legal, so it must be safe.’ Or ‘I did pot when I was a kid, too, and look, it didn’t hurt me.’

Well, have you recently studied TODAY’S pot, and have you personally seen its effects on your children like I have?”

Stack explained why today’s recreational cannabis is so different:

“First, the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a crystalline compound that is the main active ingredient of cannabis that gives the ‘high,’ is extracted out of the cannabis so that it’s nearly pure. THC is the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis. Then a butane torch is used to heat the crystals (similar to beeswax) or oil in a ‘rig’ (just google it), or a vaping device with a heating element called a dab pen can be used. Forget the ‘grass’ or ‘papers’ that were rolled in the 70s and 80s. The pot we grew up with (10% or less THC content) is HUGELY different than today’s high-concentrate extracts (often 80% THC content or higher).”

She also explained why young people tend to be affected more by these high THC concentrations, and that the earlier they start the more likely it is that they’ll develop a disorder.

“The brain is still developing through a person’s 20s, and psychotic disorders typically develop in the late teenage years. During brain formation, heavy cannabis use has been shown to have a negative effect on the formation of neural pathways. It can also lead to heavier drug use. While the vast majority of marijuana smokers never experience CIP, researchers have found that the earlier and heavier someone starts dabbing, the more likely it is that they will develop a disorder at some point (often years later). We must educate our children when they are young (10-12 years old) and use hyper-vigilance in the early teen years, which we found was much easier before the age of 16, when they could drive. We couldn’t lock him up or monitor him 24/7. Keep talking and keep trying!!

The harmful combination of a still-forming mind, high-potency THC products, and a high frequency of use = Cannabis-Induced Psychosis. Yes, that’s a real diagnosis (or High-THC Abuse – Severe). Repeated CIP incidents can trigger schizophrenia or other mental illness, and even when the cannabis is withdrawn, the psychosis doesn’t go away. This is what happened to my beautiful boy. When he died, the toxicology report showed he had ZERO drugs in his system. He wasn’t depressed, neglected, drugged, or unloved. He was psychotic, paranoid, and delusional by the time he reached 19, and he refused the anti-psychotic drugs that he now needed, because he thought he wasn’t sick (common to schizophrenia).”

It’s so easy to think that marijuana use isn’t that big of a deal, especially since some states have begun legalizing the drug for recreational use and many people see it as “natural.” But the mild, laid-back high many people picture with pot use is not the reality of many of today’s marijuana products or methods. Parents need to be aware of the dangers cannabis-derived drugs pose to their children’s mental health and educate them as early as possible.

Stack included the following links to articles and studies backing up what she’s learned about today’s THC products. These are things we all should read and share, as this knowledge and awareness could literally save someone’s life.

Man hacking his girlfriend’s favorite Disney movie might be the best proposal ever

This article originally appeared on 01.09.20

There are creative, romantic proposals, and then there’s this one.

Lee Loechler recently proposed to his girlfriend, Sthuthi David, by taking her to a packed theater to see her favorite movie, Sleeping Beauty. Little did she know that Loechler had spent six months altering the animation of the film’s most iconic scene, changing the characters to look like the couple themselves and altering the storyline to set up his Big Question. And that’s only the beginning.

Watching David’s face during the scene change is sheer delight, as her confused look proves that she has no clue what is about to happen.

The set-up is great, but the magical moment when Loechler’s illustrated self tosses the engagement ring to his real-life self? That’s when we all toss up our hands and say, “OKAY, man. You win at proposing. Everyone else must bow before you now.”

The whole proposal—the re-illustrations, the heart jokes (David is a cardiologist), and the bride-to-be’s surprise when she finds herself surrounded by friends and family—it’s all perfection. Just watch:

Amazing, right? Lee Loechler has set the bar ridiculously high, but even the most cynical among us have to give him props for his creativity.

Reddit users’ responses to the video are hilarious, and reflect what we all feel watching this masterpiece.

“Welp this guy went and did it, theres no point in any of us proposing now he’s out done us all.” – XXLpeanuts

“I was just gonna propose to my girlfriend in the Starbucks parking lot where I first told her I loved her. Welp, that ain’t gonna do anymore…” – mattrva

I proposed to my wife in front of Disney Castle in Orlando and I’ve never felt less proud about it than after watching this video lol. For real though this is one of the best proposals I’ve ever seen, bravo.” – thenaniwatiger

“I thought I was smooth with my bridge and lilyponds on a blacksand beach in Hawaii….. this guy just went and rewrote theatrical history, broke the forth wall, made a 4th dimensional joke and timed it perfectly, made a highbrow doctors joke, conspired with the internet, and filled a theater with family and friends.” – ooooopium

“Goddamn I am cold, cynical bastard and you just warmed my heart with how hard you just crushed it, my dude. I’ll say it. I am flat out envious.” – Dr_Frasier_Bane

Congratulations and best wishes to the lovely couple. May you truly live happily ever after.
