Skittles Took Out A Full Page Ad To Remind Fans Not To Throw Candy At Harry Styles

Following Harry Styles‘ Los Angeles show last week, where he was hit in the eye with a Skittles candy after a fan threw them on stage, Skittles has taken to the Los Angeles Times to remind fans not to throw them on stage, according to a report from Billboard.

The colorful confection took out a full-page ad in the Times‘ Saturday (November 19) issue. The ad features a pair of red heart-shaped sunglasses, alluding to those Styles wore in the “Watermelon Sugar” video.

“Protect the rainbow. Taste the rainbow,” read the ad.

Skittles shared an image of the ad on Twitter in a tweet that read, “PSA: Protect your eyes from Skittles (by eating them, not throwing them)”

This isn’t the first time a fan has thrown a random object at Styles. Back in October, during a Chicago stop at his Love On Tour, a fan threw a water bottle on stage, which hit Styles in the groin.

In an interview with Rolling Stone published back in August, Styles’ then-girlfriend Olivia Wilde referred to Styles’ fans as “deeply loving people.”

“..that kind of toxic negativity [online] is the antithesis of Harry, and everything he puts out there,” she said, “I don’t personally believe the hateful energy defines his fan base at all. The majority of them are true champions of kindness.”

Maluma Explains Why He’s Rooting For Messi To Win The 2022 FIFA World Cup

Maluma represents Colombia in everything he does. He’s the country’s lone representation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, as it failed to qualify for the tournament. Maluma opened the FIFA Fan Festival last night (November 19) at Al Bidda Park in Doha, Qatar, wearing a Colombia jersey and couldn’t contain his pride.

“SO PROUD TO BE HERE, REPRESENTING AND FEELING PROUD OF MY COUNTRY, MY LAND, MY LATING CULTURE,” Maluma wrote on Instagram. “This moment will live forever in my heart and nothing and no one will be able to take it away from me, thank you all for believing and for giving it to me, without you the real fans none of this would be possible!!!!”

But because Los Cafeteros aren’t competing in Qatar, Maluma is forced to root for someone else.

“Predictions for the World Cup?” Maluma said in a video posted by FIFA World Cup’s official Twitter account this morning (November 20). “Well, I want to talk to you about what I want. For personal tastes, I’m an Argentinean fan, a big fan of Brazil. I really like what France has, even the favorites, but I feel that Leo [Messi] deserves to take the cup. The truth is, I know that he will not have another World Cup, and Leo is a great person, very noble, very humble, and he deserves to have that cup between his hands.”

“I think Neymar would have more chances, perhaps, than Leo, and that it is deserved,” he continued. “I think Argentina could be the world champions.”

Maluma, Nicki Minaj and Myriam Fares collaborated on “Tukoh Taka,” released Friday (November 18) as the official anthem for the FIFA Fan Festival. Per Billboard, “Tukoh Taka” is the first song in FIFA World Cup history to feature English, Spanish and Arabic lyrics. Watch the official music video here.

Maluma’s interview about his World Cup predictions went much smoother than his sit-down with Israel’s state-owned Kan TV, where he was asked why he chose to perform at the 2022 World Cup despite Qatar’s pervasive human rights issues.

“It’s something that I can’t resolve,” Maluma said. “I just came here to enjoy life, enjoy soccer, the party of soccer. It’s not actually something that I have to be involved with. I’m here enjoying my music and beautiful life playing soccer, too.”

The interviewer doubled down on the question, presumably failing to realize the irony in the fact he was also conducting this interview in Qatar and working in the problematic country the same as Maluma, who called him “rude” and walked off the set.

Last weekend, Dua Lipa shut down rumors she was performing at the opening ceremony and said she will only visit the country once “it has fulfilled all the human rights pledges it made when it won the right to host the World Cup.”

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 kicked off this morning and will continue through December 18.

Chaos Agent Elon Musk Reinstates The Twitter Account Of Failed Blogger Donald Trump

It was a Saturday night and most people were out and about or trying to relax. Not Elon Musk. He was busy working at the company he bought — and has maybe destroyed — reinstating the account of the world’s most famous failed blogger, Donald John Trump.

The former president had been banned almost two years ago after he helped foment an attack on the Capitol, amidst fears that he would help spread further violence. But after a Twitter poll showed that a narrow margin of people wanted him back on his favorite social media service, Musk was quick to act.

“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated,” Muskl wrote, then threw in some Latin for the people: “Vox Populi, Vox Dei” (meaning “the voice of the people is the voice of God”).

Over 15 million users participated in the poll. How many were bots, on a service Musk himself kept insisting — when he was trying to back out of the $44 billion deal to buy Twitter — was riddled with them? Who knows? (Though a lot of his own followers aren’t real.) But given that the poll results were 51.8% in favor of Trump being reinstated versus 48.2% against, it’s fair to at least question its veracity.

Will Trump come back? He’s said he won’t. Then again, he says lots of things. Then again, he may be trapped on his rinky dink Twitter clone. Sources tell The Washington Post that the former president has told people he can’t leave Truth Social because he’s essentially single-handedly propping it up. Should he decamp for Twitter, it might fail, and if there’s one thing he hates it’s being associated with failure.

On top of that, to get Truth Social off the ground, Trump agreed to an agreement to make his posts exclusive to the service eight hours before he could share them elsewhere. The exceptions would be “political messaging, political fundraising or get-out-the-vote efforts.”

As of this writing, Trump has yet to post anything new on Twitter. But his old posts are suddenly alive again. They provide a grim flashback to the Jan. 6 riots, including his hostage video-like “condemnation” of the Capitol riot. His most recent post dates from Jan. 8 — the day he was permanently banned — and it reads, simply, “To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.”

Will Miguel Release New Music Soon?

It’s been five years since Miguel released a full-length album. His last album, War & Leisure boasted tracks like the Travis Scott-assisted “Sky Walker” and “Come Through And Chill,” which features his longtime collaborator J. Cole. After a long hiatus, fans seem to believe new music from Miguel is on the way.

Will Miguel release new music soon?

Last week, Miguel shared a snippet of a new song on Twitter.

Though he didn’t hint at any song or album titles, fans were able to hear lyrics clearly.

“Can you see through these scars of mine / The ones I hide / They’re splitting me / See my truth / See it through the peace in your eyes,” he sings in the snippet.

While we don’t know much about any sort of upcoming project from Miguel, it’s likely that many of his songs may be sadder in nature, as opposed to his signature romantic and sexually charged sounds.

Back in October, Miguel’s wife, Nazanin Mandi filed for divorce from the R&B star after 17 years together.

But perhaps we may get even more vulnerable lyrics from Miguel in his next project. Over the past year, he’s been advocating in the mental health space with organizations like Better Together, designed to give artists a platform to speak openly about mental health.

“It’s been a real pleasure,” he said in an interview with NME. “And really helpful in my own personal growth to speak about my experience… To be able to share the things that have helped me, to share that I’ve experienced it alone, I think is really cathartic. When things are avoided and taboo, to find there are these points of commonality, you realise there are so many people who experience these things who don’t really often talk about it.”

BTS’ Jung Kook Performs ‘Dreamers’ At The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Opening Ceremony

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremony was quasi-hosted by Morgan Freeman and headlined by BTS’ Jung Kook, who performed the tournament’s official song “Dreamers.” Jung Kook released the empowering, upbeat anthem hours before the ceremony.

The accompanying music video is set to hit FIFA’s YouTube channel on Tuesday, November 22, and it has a lot to live up to after Jung Kook’s dazzling — literally, he was wearing a sparkling black jacket — live rendition at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar. The galactic pop star owned the sprawling stage, backed by countless choreographed dancers and joined by Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi.

“Look who we are, we are the dreamers,” Jung Kook pristinely sang in the chorus. “We make it happen, ’cause we believe it.” Get used to hearing that a billion times between now and the World Cup’s closing on December 18.

After Jung Kook and Al-Kubaisi finished their galvanizing performance, “Dreamers” soundtracked a video montage of Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani playing with Qatari children in the deserts. The video was described on the FOX broadcast as “very super emotional video because this shows you that we will play football whenever and wherever we have the opportunity, even if it’s barefoot.”

Jung Kook was confirmed as the opening ceremony performer last weekend. The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 kicks off when Qatar and Ecuador take the pitch at 11 a.m. EST.

Camila Cabello Made A Surprise Appearance At Blackpink’s LA Show

Last night (November 19), Blackpink performed a packed show at Los Angeles’ Banc Of California Stadium. During this stop at their Born Pink tour, the ladies had plenty of surprises for fans.

At one point in the night, Blackpink brought out Camila Cabello, who joined member Jisoo for a performance of “Liar” from Cabello’s 2019 album, Romance.

Jisoo has performed a cover of “Liar” on several stops of the Born Pink tour, including Boston and New Jersey. However, this is the first time she has been joined by Cabello in a proper duet of the song.

The performance was part of the show’s solo segment, where each of the ladies performed some of their solo material. Though Jisoo’s cover has proven to be a hit with the Blinks, she is the only member of Blackpink who hasn’t released any of her own original solo material. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she admitted she is hesitant to go solo.

“The music I listen to, the music I can do, and the music I want to do — what should I choose? I love songs with lots of instruments,” she said. “I love different bands and rock music. What do people want from me? There’s a chaos of conflicting questions. So I’m still tilting my head in confusion. I’m not sure what will happen with my solo plans this year.”

Check out a clip of the “Liar” performance above.

Will Roddy Ricch Go On Tour After ‘Feed Tha Streets III?’

Roddy Ricch unleashed Feed Tha Streets III on Friday (November 18), dropping “Twin” featuring Lil Durk and surprising for Los Angeles grocery shoppers to bolster his mixtape’s arrival. The 15-track project came days after Roddy completed his two-month stint as the opener on Post Malone’s Twelve Carat Toothache Tour.

“His impressive set illustrated the effectiveness of simplicity, highlighted the breadth of his talents, and proved that he’s more than ready to be headlining arenas on his own,” Uproxx’s Aaron Williams wrote of Roddy while reviewing the final Twelve Carat show at LA’s Crypto.com Arena last Wednesday, November 15. He added, “By the time he strolled off the stage — after playing ‘Ballin” rather than ‘The Box,’ which seems an odd choice, but I get it if he’s tired of that one after all this time — I wanted nothing more than for him to come back and do an encore.”

Will Roddy headline his own Feed Tha Streets III supporting tour? There has not been an announcement, so the answer for now is no. But that could (and probably will) change after Roddy has time to recover from supporting Post.

In the meantime, fans can see Roddy perform the Sunday Night Football halftime show tonight (November 20) at LA’s SoFi Stadium.

The game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs kicks off at 8:20 p.m. EST on NBC.

MJF Pinned Jon Moxley To Become The New AEW World Champion

MJF is the new AEW World Heavyweight champion thanks to some outside help from William Regal in the main event at AEW Full Gear from Newark, New Jersey.

Moxley brought the violence to MJF right out of the gate, but as the top contender for the main title evaded attacks, he showboated his way around the ring. About midway through the match, the tide began to turn in MJF’s direction with a slew of old school moves. After setting up a table on the outside, Moxley made MJF pay for not striking while the champ was down. Moxley put MJF on his back and continued to pepper him with stomps on the ground. On the apron, MJF reversed a piledriver into a tombstone only to get a two count. Back on the apron, Moxley was able to piledrive MJF through the table.

MJF made his way back into the ring before the count of 10, when Moxley landed the Paradigm Shift and then a figure four leglock. Back on their feet, Moxley dropped MJF with an avalanche Paradigm Shift off the top rope, getting a two count before MJF grabbed the bottom rope.

In the middle of the ring, Moxley and MJF traded big shots when MJF pulled the referee into the path of Moxley to gain an advanage. MJF pulled the Dynamite Diamond Ring out of his trunks when William Regal walked down to the ring and told him to put it down. MJF obliged and Moxley locked in a bulldog choke. MJF walked up the turnbuckle for a pin attempt, but Moxley locked it in again to get the tapout, but the referee was knocked out. Regal passed brass knuckles to MJF, who dropped Moxley and earned the pinfall victory.

Moxley won the AEW heavyweight belt over two months ago after he was called back from vacation early in the aftermath of CM Punk’s reported backstage brawl with The Elite. Moxley responded by running through the AEW Grand Slam Tournament of Champions and defeating fellow Blackpool Combat Club colleague Bryan Danielson in the finals to win back the championship he’d lost just days earlier.

While Moxley has been at the top of the card for much of the last year, it was MJF who was clawing his way to the top against the more established stars. Following a three-month absence from the promotion, MJF made his surprise return at All Out, winning the Casino Ladder match to claim a guaranteed title shot. Instead of cashing it in against a downed champion, MJF opted to hold the chip and cash in for a main event title opportunity, taking his shot against Moxley at Full Gear.

Future Said Melodic Songs Come More Naturally To Him Than Rap Songs

Future has had a big year. Back in April, he released his ninth album, I Never Liked You. Last week, the album received a nomination for Best Rap Album for the 2023 Grammy Awards, which is set to take place next February. The album boasted the Drake and Tems collaboration, “Wait For U,” which is also up for the Best Rap Song and Best Melodic Rap Song Grammys.

Over the past 10 years, Future has demonstrated his range and his ability to craft hits in the realm of melodic rap and pure hip-hop. In a recent interview with Billboard revealed that while rapping comes easily to him, making melodic rap songs comes more naturally to him.

“Songs like ‘Wait For U,’ I make those in my sleep,” he said. “But I had to make a certain kind of music to go along with my career and everything that was going on at the time. I was capitalizing off different moments and creating from whatever was going on at the time in the world and my personal life. I was taking the energy from that and making music. But those melodic songs, I make those easy — easier than I can make a rap song, I feel.”

In addition to the Grammys, Future is up for six American Music Awards this year, including Collaboration of the Year and Favorite Hip-Hop Song for “Wait For U, Favorite Hip-Hop Album for I Never Liked You, and Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist.

The AMAs air tomorrow (November 20) on ABC at 8 p.m. EST

The Hawks Beat The Raptors After Trae Young Threw A Lob To AJ Griffin At The Buzzer

The Atlanta Hawks and the Toronto Raptors needed overtime to decide a winner on Saturday evening. They very, very nearly needed to go to a second OT, but thanks to a perfectly designed play, some Trae Young magic, and a layup by rookie wing AJ Griffin, Atlanta was able to pick up a 124-122 win.

A Clint Capela foul with less than four seconds left in the extra frame sent OG Anunoby to the free throw line, with Toronto’s breakout star canning both of his attempts to tie things up. De’Andre Hunter inbounded the ball to Dejounte Murray, which led to Trae Young breaking up the floor. There was some confusion among the Raptors’ players, which meant Young crossed halfcourt with no one anywhere near him.

This put Anunoby in a position where he had two choices: Let Young walk into a three, or risk that Young would figure out a way to get the ball to Griffin. He chose to stop the former, which meant Young threw a lob to the former Duke standout. Griffin went up, got it, and laid it in just before the buzzer sounded.

This is a gorgeous play that capped off a 17-point night for the 16th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
