Don’t Worry, Everybody, Mike Lindell And His ‘Crime Desk’ Are Watching ‘All The Bad Guys Out There’ As Midterm Voting Begins

As the polls open on Tuesday for the midterm elections, Mike Lindell is warning all the “bad guys” out there that his cyber team is watching every single race in the country. Granted, the last time the MyPillow CEO bragged about his elite squad of digital gurus, his “Cyber Symposium” spectacularly blew up in his face as zero evidence of election fraud was found. However, this time Lindell is encouraging people to send him “crime” tips, which is rich coming from a guy who had his phone seized by the FBI in a Hardee’s drive-thru.

Via Ron Filipkowski on Twitter:

We’re gonna be watching every race. We’re gonna have the real-time Crime Desk going at FrankSpeech.com. You can watch me there tomorrow night. We are tracking every race by cyber. I want all the bad guys out there to know, through the Edison report, we are watching. We also have another way to watch what’s going on with the computers and the machine. So I’m putting them all on notice. They’re all on notice. You can turn in at Crime.FrankSpeech.Com if you see anything. Turn it in there.

Again, Lindell has yet to provide any evidence of fraud in the 2020 election despite dropping millions of his own money and making his MyPillow products so toxic that Walmart executives stopped returning his calls. He’s now been forced to sell coffee with his new MyCoffee brand, which has failed to take off like his pillow empire.

Lindell has also been hit with several multi-billion dollar lawsuits, yet clearly, that has not stopped him from running face-first into another batch of wacky election fraud schemes.

Jeopardy!’ Is Pitting Three Of The Greatest Contestants Ever Against Each Other On Election Night

The Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions is taking a one-day break to make room for Election Day coverage. Haven’t we suffered enough? Instead, there will be an exhibition match between three of the greatest contestants ever: Amy Schneider (40 consecutive games won), Matt Amodio (38), and Mattea Roach (23). But not in every market.

In response to a Jeopardy! fan who complained about the for-fun exhibition game being preempted by the election, host (and favorite among grandmas) Ken Jennings wrote, “Tomorrow’s Amy-Matt-Mattea exhibition showdown was planned specifically to avoid Election Day pre-emptions in many markets. Consult local listings, as they say, to find out when and where your affiliate will wind up airing it.”

The Jeopardy! website notes that tonight’s episode “may be preempted or moved this week due to various events” in the following cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, Sacramento, Portland, Columbus, West Palm Beach, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, New Orleans, or Richmond. You can find out more information here.

Jennings also pulled out a deep cut David Letterman reference. “Some have asked why I announced tomorrow’s special @Jeopardy! match as ‘an exhibition…no wagering.’ It’s Dave’s fault, see below. There will still be contestant wagers on Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy! But YOU THE VIEWER should not be wagering!” he tweeted. You can watch that video below — or save it for tonight. Better yet, instead of keeping your eyes glued to CNN, spend the next watching old Letterman clips. It’s a much better use of your time.

Alanis Morissette Pulled Out Of Her Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Performance To Avoid ‘An Environment That Reduces Women’

At the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony this past weekend, Olivia Rodrigo highlighted the ceremony by covering inductee Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain.” As Billboard notes, though, an early rundown of the show revealed Rodrigo was initially meant to be joined by Alanis Morissette. Morissette of course did not participate and now she has explained why.

In an Instagram Story post shared yesterday (November 7), she addressed the “mis-informed rumblings” about her absence, prefacing her thoughts by noting how much she adores Rodrigo, Dolly Parton, Janet Jackson, Pat Benetar, Sheryl Crow, Pink, Brandi Carlile, and Sara Bareilles, all of whom were in attendance.

She continued, “I have spent decades in an industry that is rife with an overarching anti-woman sentiment and have tolerated a lot of condescension and disrespectfulness, reduction, dismissiveness, contract-breaching, unsupportiveness, exploitation and psychological violence (and more) throughout my career. […] Thankfully, I am at a point in my life where there is no need for me to spend time in an environment that reduces women.”

“There are some mis-informed rumblings about my not performing at The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony this past weekend. Firstly, I have to say how much I adore Carly Simon and Olivia Rodrigo and Dolly Parton and Janet Jackson and Pat Benetar and Sheryl Crow and Pink and Brandi Carlile and Sara Bareilles — and all the amazing people and artists who were there.

I have spent decades in an industry that is rife with an overarching anti-woman sentiment and have tolerated a lot of condescension and disrespectfulness, reduction, dismissiveness, contract-breaching, unsupportiveness, exploitation and psychological violence (and more) throughout my career. I tolerated it because nothing would stop me from connecting with those whom I cared about and resonated with. I live to serve and connect with people and so over the years I sucked it up on more occasions than I can count in order to do so. It’s hard not to be affected in any industry around the world, but Hollywood has been notorious for its disrespect of the feminine in all of us.

Thankfully, I am at a point in my life where there is no need for me to spend time in an environment that reduces women. I have had countless incredible experiences with production teams with all genders throughout my life. So many, and so fun. There is nothing better than a team of diverse people coming together with one mission. I’ll continue to show up in those environments with bells on. 🙂

Voting time! I love you,

alanis.”

John Oliver Had A Timely Mock Reaction To Chris Evans Being Crowned Sexiest Man Alive

It’s a Marvel twofer. Last year, Chris Evans fans were less than thrilled to see his MCU co-star, Ant-Man Paul Rudd, be crowned as PEOPLE‘s Sexiest Man Alive, but they’re receiving their wish this week. It’s a big year for Evans, too, given that he finally upgraded that iPhone 6 and has his Captain America days firmly in the rearview mirror while accepting the title as announced on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. What’s more is that he had a strong contender for the title in John Oliver, who broke away from his busy Last Week Tonight schedule to attend a Colbert taping, but alas!

You can watch Colbert’s mock tantrum after the 2:00 mark above, but here’s the face:

John Oliver Chris Evans Sexiest Man Alive
CBS

Naturally (and on the eve of Election Day), Colbert threw a timely little fit. A “Stop the Steal!” did happen, and then he marched right out of that studio while enraged over Evans not even showing up in person. Sadly, Chris was too busy on the set of his Amazon Christmas movie to attend. However, co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was on hand to insist that he’s the Sexiest Man “in perpetuity” (he did win the 2016 title), and from there, Evans urged people to get out and vote.

To PEOPLE, Evans remarked that he’ll soon be receiving some good-natured “bullying” and “harassment” from friends, but his mom is very excited: “I am not surprised at all… Our family will be beside themselves.” Should make for a fun Thanksgiving.

Brendan Fraser Gives A Career-Defining Performance As A 600-Pound Father In A24’s ‘The Whale’ Trailer

Brenden Fraser never really went away — he’s done tremendous work in The Affair, Doom Patrol, and Steven Soderbergh’s No Sudden Move – but The Whale is his first leading role in a movie since the early 2010s. It’s also director Darren Aronofsky’s first film in five years. Based on Samuel D. Hunter’s play, the internet-favorite The Mummy star plays a “reclusive English teacher who attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter,” according to the official plot synopsis. Also, he weighs 600 pounds.

You can watch the trailer above.

“I developed muscles I did not know I had,” Fraser said about The Whale. “I even felt a sense of vertigo at the end of the day when all the appliances were removed; it was like stepping off the dock onto a boat in Venice. That [sense of] undulating. It gave me appreciation for those whose bodies are similar. You need to be an incredibly strong person, mentally and physically, to inhabit that physical being.”

The Whale has faced criticisms for having Fraser, who is neither obese nor gay, play an obese, gay man. “There was a chapter in the making of this film where we tried to research actors with obesity,” Aronofsky said. “Outside of not being able to find an actor who could pull off the emotions of the role, it just becomes a crazy chase. Like, if you can’t find a 600-pound actor, is a 300-pound actor or 400-pound actor enough?”

The Whale, which also stars Sadie Sink and Hong Chau, opens on December 9.

Takeoff’s Lone Solo Album And Other Related Projects Returned To The ‘Billboard’ Charts After His Death

Shortly before his recent death, Takeoff was enjoying some chart success, with his and Quavo’s new album Only Built For Infinity Links achieving a peak at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. Since the former Migos member’s passing, fans have been listening to that album and his other work, which is reflected on the latest charts.

On the new Billboard 200 chart dated November 12, Only Built For Infinity Links remains high in the ranks at No. 12. Elsewhere, a few Takeoff-related projects have re-entered the chart: Migos’ Culture II is at No. 116 while Culture is at No. 193. Also, Takeoff’s only solo album, 2018’s The Last Rocket, re-enters at No. 189. Previously, Culture and Culture II peaked at No. 1 while The Last Rocket topped out at No. 4.

Drake recently took a moment to honor Takeoff, saying, “I’d just like to send our deepest condolences from the family to the entire QC, to our brother Quavo, to our brother Offset, to the friends and loved ones of the legendary, unprecedented Takeoff, a guy that I knew for a long, long time. I’m sure people know how we started, of course, with ‘Versace,’ and from there, you know, we formed a brotherhood. […] Tragic loss for all of us and… you know, a dark cloud over this business that we love so much.”

Ryan Reynolds Addressed The Tantalizing Rumor Of Taylor Swift Joining The Marvel Universe In ‘Deadpool 3’

Taylor Swift has done some acting in her day, most notably in 2010’s Valentine’s Day, 2019’s Cats, and the recently released Amsterdam. Lately, though, fans have theorized that Swift is gearing up to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a role in Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3. The rumors became so prevalent that now Reynolds himself has addressed them.

In September, a teaser for Deadpool 3 was shared, and Swifties quickly noticed that it was shot in the same house where Swift filmed All Too Well: The Short Film. Combine that with the fact that Swift has long been friends with Reynolds and wife Blake Lively and we had ourselves a rumor on our hands.

However, ET asked Reynolds about all this on the red carpet for his new film Spirited yesterday (November 7) and he shut the rumor down. He joked, “If we shoot the next Deadpool film in our house, then that would be that location.”

Swift’s absence isn’t due to lack of interest from Reynolds, though, who responded when asked if he’d like Swift to be in the film, “Of course. Are you kidding me? I would do anything for that woman. She’s a genius.”

In case you missed the Deadpool 3 teaser, check it out below.

Taylor Swift Spends Another Week Atop The ‘Billboard’ Hot 100, While Rihanna Makes A Triumphant Return

Turns out, rooting for the anti-hero can prove fruitful. For the second week in a row, Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero” is the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100.

The past few weeks have shown to be historic for the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Last week, Taylor Swift occupied the entire top 10 with songs from her 10th studio album, Midnights, which is the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart for the second consecutive week. The week before, Sam Smith and Kim Petras made LGBTQ+ history, with Smith being the first openly non-binary person with a No. 1 hit, and Petras being the first openly transgender solo artist with a No. 1 hit, with their collaboration, “Unholy.” “Unholy” sits at No. 3 this week, and at No. 4 is “Bad Habit” by Steve Lacy, another queer artist who reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart last month.

In other exciting news, Rihanna’s big musical comeback has proven to be worth the wait. After going six years without releasing solo music, her big comeback single, “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has debuted at No. 2.

The Rihanna Navy can also expect to hear another new song from her during the end credits of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which arrives in theaters this Friday (November 11).

Check out this week’s top 10 above.

Austin Theory Cashed In His Money In The Bank Contract On WWE Raw

Austin Theory is the latest WWE star to unsuccessfully cash in his Money in the Bank contract.

After months of teasing which belt he’d challenge for, including getting tossed around the ring by Brock Lesnar and showing up on NXT, Theory took advantage of Seth Rollins getting rag-dolled around the ring by Bobby Lashley to cash in for the United States title in the main event of Monday Night Raw.

Rollins was supposed to hold an open challenge for the belt, but Lashley attacked him before the match could get underway. After putting the champ through the announce table, Theory cashed in his briefcase and took the fight to Rollins, landing a pedigree only for the two count.

Unable to put him away, Theory then dropped Rollins with the A-Town Down for a two-count before Lashley arrived back at ringside and pulled the referee out of the ring.

With the referee out of the match, Lashley then pulled Theory out himself and destroyed him around ringside. After slamming him into the ring post a handful of times, Lashley locked in the Hurt Lock until Theory passed out. With the referee back up and standing, Theory made it into the ring before the 10 count only for Rollins to drop him with the Curb Stomp and retain his belt.
