Earlier this week, all eyes were on Pennsylvania as senatorial candidates John Fetterman and Dr. Mehmet Oz finally faced off in their first — and what will be their only — debate. For many watchers, the main attraction was to see how Fetterman, who is recovering from a May stroke, would handle being put on the spot and in the spotlight. For others, it was a chance to see Dr. Oz turn the most innocuous comment into something totally creepy-sounding. But on Wednesday night, Trevor Noah admitted that he feels bad for Fetterman, “because he had a stroke. And on top of that, after the debate, Dr. Oz tried to sell him a supplement that would cure him for $59.99.”

Still, the portion of the debate that was of most interest to Noah was when it came to the abortion conversation, and watching Dr. Oz attempt to wriggle his way out of having to come up with any sort of definitive position. As Noah explained:

After securing the Republican nomination, Dr. Oz has been trying to distance himself from the MAGA side of the force, and reposition himself as a bipartisan voice of reason. He’s trying to scoop up all the centrist voters on Election Day. He’s basically doing that TikTok thing where you flip your hair down, and when you come up you act like you suddenly didn’t want to hang Mike Pence. But here’s the thing: Being pro-Trump and pro-reasonable is a lot harder than people think. Which was apparent when Dr. Oz had to explain his position on abortion.

The question posed to Oz was simple: “Should abortion be banned in America?”

Doc Oz’s response was not as simple: “There should not be involvement from the federal government in how states decide their abortion decisions. As a physician, I’ve been in the room when there are some difficult conversations happening. I don’t want the federal government involved with that at all. I want women, doctors, [and] local political leaders letting the democracy that’s always allowed our nation to thrive to put the best ideas forward so states can decide for themselves.”

Noah was amused by how Dr. Oz just threw “local political leaders” into the decision-making process at the very end, “like a teenager buying condoms at a gas station.” The way Noah sees it:

If you’re pro-choice, what Dr. Oz is saying is bullshit. I think we can all agree, there is only one politician who should have a say in your abortion, and that’s Herschel Walker — ’cause it’s his. It’s his! It’s probably his! Ladies, check: They’re all his.

We, as a society, are all enjoying the Jennifer Coolidge renaissance that goes hand-in-hand with one of the best shows on television: The White Lotus. Of course, Coolidge has always been cool (it’s in her name), but her Emmy-worthy performances as of late are what really sets her apart from all of the others. Not only that, but everything Coolidge says sounds like it could be the plot of a mildly-infuriating Blumhouse horror movie. It’s annoying for her, but entertaining for the fans!

The latest Coolidge anecdote features everyone’s favorite place to be: customs at an international airport! Entertainment Weekly asked the cast of The White Lotus for their vacation horror stories, much like the vacation in the first season. The actress told the story of a time when she was traveling for work in London when she was held by security: “For some reason, it wouldn’t scan right, and next thing you know customs is calling me over,” Coolidge told EW. “Next thing you know, they’ve locked me up for nine hours in this little room.”

You’d think nine hours would be enough to break somebody’s spirit, but Coolidge kept it cool (obviously). She even remained calm when they came in after hour seven to ask if she wanted a snack. “Hour seven, they came in and said, ‘Would you like noodles or chips?’ I did opt for the potato chips over the noodles. It didn’t go well after that.”

She didn’t explain how it could have possibly gotten worse than that, but at least she didn’t have to scatter her mother’s ashes out at sea. Sometimes that’s all you need for a good vacation.

Brockhampton has been teasing their final album for some time, and now, they’ve announced its title and release date. It’ll be called The Family, and it’s due on November 17 via Question Everything and RCA Records. In addition to being available on streaming, the album will also be available as a box set with a CD and one of three T-shirts.

Kevin Abstract previously trolled fans with a fake album cover and title earlier this month, joking that it would be called No Cap and the cover would feature a bald cap-sporting Kevin himself. However, it turns out he wasn’t cracking wise about the album being out before the end of the year.

While working on the album, the group delivered a a quirky cover of funk classic “Hollywood Swinging” for the Minions: The Rise Of Gru soundtrack this summer after performing their final Coachella as a group.

They first announced their split in spring of 2021, when Kevin Abstract said that the group would release two more albums before going on an “indefinite hiatus.” He later explained that while “we all love each other,” the group has “got a lot to say outside of group projects.” Both projects were delayed due to sample clearance issues, with Roadrunner, their penultimate project, arriving in April 2021 to show off their growth and begin the process of saying goodbye.

Kanye West is a desperate man — and for good reason. The once-exalted rapper has spent the last several weeks spewing all sorts of deplorable bits of antisemitism to anyone who will allow it (we’re looking at you, Tucker Carlson). As a result, he has been dumped by everyone from his agents at CAA to the various fashion brands he has collaborated with, including Balenciaga and the Gap. Jeen-Yuhs, a completed documentary about Ye’s life, has been shelved by its producers, and Vogue gatekeeper Anna Wintour has reportedly severed all ties with the rapper. The biggest hit, however, came from Adidas, who dropped Ye like a bad habit — all of which has seen West’s net worth drop significantly, and push him out of the Three Comma Club.

While West is being boycotted by just about everyone, Jimmy Kimmel thinks there’s one more industry that should cancel the artist: Big Bagel. On Wednesday night, Kimmel shared that, after losing his $1.5 billion deal with Adidas, Ye was on the lookout for a replacement partner to carry on his Yeezy shoe brand. As Kimmel explained:

Today, he showed up — unannounced and uninvited — at the corporate headquarters for Skechers in Manhattan Beach. Skechers, which his ex-wife Kim [Kardashian] did commercials for, is owned by the Greenberg family, so they threw him right out and put out a statement denouncing him. Ironically — this is not a joke — before he barged into Skechers, he stopped at the bagel shop next door. He shouldn’t be allowed to eat bagels anymore, right? I mean, at the very least. Lox him up!

Selena Gomez has always been transparent with the public about her health, whether it be her lupus diagnosis and subsequent 2017 kidney transplant or testing positive for COVID-19 and missing her scheduled The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon appearance just this week. She’s turning it up a notch, if possible, with her forthcoming Apple TV+ documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.

Vanity Fair posted a snippet from the doc to TikTok this week that shows Gomez presumably grappling with the aftermath of a 2019 stay at Boston’s famed McLean Hospital that led to her bipolar diagnosis, which she publicly disclosed on Instagram Live with Miley Cyrus in April 2020.

“When I first got out, I didn’t know how I’d cope with my diagnosis,” Gomez says in the clip. “What if it happened again? What if the next time, I didn’t come back? I needed to keep learning about it. I needed to take it day by day. When I was a kid, I was terrified of thunderstorms. I grew up in Texas, and I was so scared that lightning and thunder would mean a tornado was coming. But my mom gave me these books for kids that explained storms and lightning and thunder and basically said, ‘The more you learn about it, the less you’re gonna be afraid of it.’ And it really helped.”

Apple TV+ additionally shared a 78-second clip from the doc to YouTube yesterday of Gomez meeting a childhood friend’s daughter, who gets adorably excited when she realizes she’s standing by the Selena Gomez. The girl asks her mom if Selena is real. “Yes, she’s real,” Gomez’s childhood friend says. “Mommy went to school with her. She lived right down the street from me. Mommy grew up with her.” The woman then hugs Gomez and shares she felt scared seeing Gomez go through her health issues from afar.

One question that has surrounded the New York Giants amid their surprising 6-1 start this season is what will happen with 2021 first-round draft pick Kadarius Toney. An explosive wide receiver from the University of Florida, issues remaining healthy have led to Toney struggling to get on the field, and there have been rumors that the Giants’ new front office and coaching staff could look to get something back for him — earlier this week, Darryl Slater of NJ.com noted that New York GM Joe Schoen “probably would like to be done with him.”

On Thursday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs decided they were going to be the team that tries to get the most out of Toney. According to multiple media reports, Kansas City will send a conditional third-round draft pick and a sixth-round pick to New York with the hopes that Toney can provide yet another option in their high-flying passing game.

Toney has not appeared in a game for the Giants since Sept. 18, as he’s struggled to overcome hamstring injuries. Dating back to last season, Toney has only played in 12 of a potential 24 games due to lingering health issues. When he has been able to play, the No. 20 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft has caught 41 balls for 420 yards and has yet to record a touchdown.

With the midterm elections less than two weeks away, Marjorie Taylor Greene made it clear what will happen if Republicans take control of the House: Revenge. During a recent appearance on Steve Bannon‘s podcast, Greene essentially threatened any company who stopped donations following the January 6 attack. Several corporations made it a point not to support anyone who voted against certifying the 2020 election or pushed Donald Trump’s “Big Lie,” and Greene wants them to know there will be a price to pay.

“All the lobbyists, all the big corporations stopped to a whole bunch of my Republican colleagues that they used to donate to. They said, ‘Oh, no. We can’t support you because of the big lie’ or whatever they want to call it. So, I want you to know – and this is something they should all know – that’s not going to be forgotten by a whole bunch of my Republican colleagues because that was really ridiculous and wrong.”

As for what kind of revenge will be meted out by Greene and a GOP-controlled House: “investigations.” Lots and lots of investigations that obviously will grow to include Hunter Biden, library drag shows, and a laundry list of Republican grievances. While Greene has been resigned to the fringes of the party, should Republicans take the House, she’s already publicly stated that Kevin McCarthy will have to cede more power to her and her conspirators like Paul Gosar.

“And if he doesn’t, they’re going to be very unhappy about it,” Greene told New York Times Magazine correspondent Robert Draper during an interview for his new book. The lady loves her some revenge.

Harry Styles made 2022 his year by releasing the massive album Harry’s House, which was the first platinum LP of the year, broke records with the hit “As It Was,” and earned him a monumental 15-night residency at Madison Square Garden.

But he’s not done. The pop star is back today with the music video for the record’s opener “Music For A Sushi Restaurant.” Styles mysteriously transforms into a sea creature — you could say he’s a mermaid, but that’s debatable — and he worries he will be cut up and made into a sushi roll. Soon enough, though, people are on their knees cleaning his tentacles and asking to touch his tail. However, it’s not any of this that’s exciting or weirding out fans — it’s the fact that he has a beard.

Earlier this week, fans immediately took notice when Styles appeared on stage at the Kia Forum in Inglewood and was wearing a pair of red authentic Vans instead of his usual pair of Adidas x Gucci Gazelles. Fans went onto social media to thank the singer, as well as his stylist Harry Lambert, for what they interpreted as taking a stand against Kanye West’s recent antisemitic comments.

SZA has been meticulous about “Shirt,” her forthcoming single that fans have been clamoring for since she first performed it in July 2021. The track was rumored to have an October 14 release date, which SZA confirmed while headlining Austin City Limits, saying, “It didn’t come out because I looked at the video, and I was stressed at one small thing in the video. But I fixed that, and it’s turned in and about to come out.” Then, “Shirt” appeared and just as quickly disappeared from Spotify last week. And now, “Shirt” and its video are coming tomorrow (October 28).

All of this is to say, LaKeith Stanfield’s casting in the Dave Meyers-directed “Shirt” video was no accident.

SZA dropped a 27-second trailer yesterday, which finds her and Stanfield sitting opposite each other in a restaurant booth. “Energy’s everything,” SZA says. Stanfield picks up salt shakers and touches the table, which SZA confirms are also rooted in energy. “You and me?” he asks, but the weighted moment in interrupted by the guy sitting next to him. Stanfield slaps him upside the head, and the trailer ends with SZA shooting him in the face.

The Atlanta and Oscar-nominated Judas And The Black Messiah actor previously starred in SZA’s “I Hate U” visualizer in January. Stanfield pulled up to the coast on an ominously foggy day, screaming into his phone and walking down to the beach to smoke off his frustrations. It doesn’t work. He pulls out his phone, sees text from SZA saying “I hate u” and throws it into the ocean. Between the two videos, it’s clear SZA and Stanfield have perfected how to portray volatility.

It’s been a few years of “well they/won’t they” when it comes to the Community movie. A film based on the series was promised to fans all the way back in season two with a throwaway line that became a frequent callback throughout the series. But, after ending in 2015, it seemed like creator Dan Harmon had lost some momentum. Even though the cast and crew would often speculate about a potential feature, it never came to light. Until NOW! Creator Dan Harmon officially announced the movie last month, so, here is everything we know about #SixSeasonAndAMovie.

After a virtual table read in 2020, the cast has been open about the desire to move forward with the #sixseasonsandamovie prophecy. At first, it looked like Netflix, where the show is currently a huge hit, would snag the rights to a potential movie, but NBC’s Peacock seems to have outbid the streamer earlier this year.

While the movie has been confirmed, there have been no plot details or release dates in mind. We know that Harmon is on board to write, but no director has been attached yet. Assuming they film sometime in early 2023, fans might have a Community movie as early as next fall, but it will likely be later.

As for which stars will return, it seems like almost everyone is on board besides Chevy Chase — Harmon joked that he didn’t know if that would be “legal” for the actor to return. He was famously written out of the final season. Yvette Nicole Brown has said that all of the actors who want to return should be able to, “Every day it’s getting closer to coming to fruition,” she told E! last month. “Do I know when? I do not. Do I know whether everybody’s schedule is going to line up at the right time to make it happen in a time that’ll make everybody happy? I don’t know that, either. But I do know that everybody has the desire to take part, and that’s half the battle.”

Of course, all eyes are on Donald Glover, one of the show’s breakout actors, who also left before the final season. Harmon believes that he will be returning to Greendale Community College, despite no official announcement. “I think that Donald is coming, based on word of mouth, but it’s just the deal isn’t official or wasn’t official,” Harmon told Variety. “It would be difficult to really commit to doing this thing without Donald. So I believe he is coming back.” This is all fine and great, but let’s get to the real question: is Jonathan Banks returning to campus?
