Kenia Os Announces Her First US Tour With The Release Of Her ‘Mía Mía’ Video

Kenia Os is stepping into a new era of her career with the “Mía Mía” video that was released on Friday (September 30). The Mexican pop star also announced that she is embarking on her first US tour next year.

In the past year, Os has emerged as one of the Mexico’s most promising new artists. She translated her breakthrough as a YouTuber and influencer into a viable pop career. With the release of her debut album Cambios De Luna in March, Os broke the record for the most first-day streams for an LP in Mexico. She has also maintained her strong social media following with over 46 million followers across all the platforms that she’s on.

For her new single “Mía Mía,” Os worked with hit-maker JonTheProducer, who was at the helm of massive songs by Kali Uchis, Jennifer Lopez, and Becky G. Os embraces trap beats with an electronica edge as she tells an ex to get lost. While cutting the guy down to size in Spanish, she also spreads a fierce message of self-love. The video is next level with Os owning her pop stardom among futuristic visual effects. She debuted her new persona for her upcoming K23 album.

“‘Mía Mía’ was the first song we wrote,” Os said in a statement. “We had it in mind that this was going to be part of a new project and that it could literally be a universe of possibilities. With ‘Mía Mía’ I was able to imagine the visual aspect that we can now present to you, in addition to the story we wanted to create for the videos and the ‘K23’ character which is an extension of myself.”

Early next year, Os will be touring the US for the first time with her K23 Tour. The US leg kicks off on February 22 in San Diego. Tickets for the tour are on-sale now and you can buy yours here.

What Does ‘Lykiri’ Mean From ‘House Of The Dragon?’

As House of the Dragon continues to expand the Game of Thrones universe, there are some parts of Westeros we are only beginning to understand. The show is so rich with imagery and symbolism that there is no choice but to investigate further, which is why people on Twitter wanted to know, “WHAT IS LYKIRI?”

Since there are a number of languages in the Game of Thrones canon, it is a little hard to keep track of what means what. High Valyrian is the language used by the Targaryens and Velaryons, which means that some words can be understood by dragons. In episode 7, a new command was muttered by Aemond as he approached the terrifyingly gigantic dragon Vhagar. “Dohaeras. Lykiri. Soves.” Many people who don’t speak High Valyrian were understandably confused! Of course, the dragon knew what was going on.

If you didn’t take the High Valyrian course on Duolingo, then you wouldn’t know, but luckily, that’s what the internet is for. Aemond was literally saying “Serve. Calm down. Fly” in order to keep the dragon focused, which is pretty important considering that she is one of the most powerful dragons in the world. So yeah, it’s basically a dragon passcode.

Even though things are looking grim for former best friends-turned-enemies Rhaenyra and Alicent, at least the fans get to learn some new High Valyrian words to try out!

Will Smith Plays A Slave Who Follows The Sound Of Cannons To Freedom In The ‘Emancipation’ Teaser Trailer

Will Smith‘s first post-Slap movie, Emancipation (in which the King Richard actor plays a slave attempting to reunite with his family in the north), premiered this weekend as part of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Legislative Conference. It received mostly positive reviews, with NAACP president Derrick Johnson tweeting, “I had the pleasure of watching the film #Emancipation and can’t begin to tell how powerful this is for OUR community and OUR history. It’s a story of adversity, of resilience, of love, and of triumph. Thank you Antoine Fuqua and Will Smith for sharing your gifts!”

That’s the kind of positive publicity for Emancipation that Apple TV+ needs, considering the streaming service reportedly has no idea what the heck to do with the movie. It looks like an “Oscar movie,” in the sense that it’s a historical drama about a heavy subject from a notable director and starring an acclaimed actor, but any discourse about the film itself will be overshadowed by the time Will Smith slapped Chris Rock (then won an Oscar).

Try to forget about G.I. Jane while watching the trailer above, though. Here’s more:

Scripted by William N. Collage, Emancipation was inspired by 1863 photographs taken of Peter, when the formerly enslaved man joined the Union Army in hopes of finding his family. The photographs were seen around the world and galvanized opposition to slavery as barbaric. The images were a symbolic forerunner to the photos of the battered body of Emmett Till, video of Rodney King and later the George Floyd video. Until the Oscar slap that drew Smith a 10-year ban from the Academy, Emancipation had been considered a prime awards season contender.

Emancipation premieres in theaters on December 2 and hits Apple TV+ on December 9.

Five Spooky But Not Scary Video Games To Play For Halloween Season

Spooky season is upon us! Now that October is finally here, nobody will be able to escape skeletons, black cats, or the color orange until an army of children invades our neighborhoods to demand candy. It’s also a chance to remind folks that spooky can be fun rather than needing to be scary. Sure, there’s plenty of horror out there for those that want to feel their bones chilled, but the rest of us who enjoy the vibes of Halloween without the scary parts have a plethora of options as well — including video games!

While most games that fall under the spooky label in gaming are horror games, there are a handful out there that fit the spooky mold without going into the horror genre. These games are perfect to play if you want to get in the season, or maybe have some Halloween-themed gaming with a partner, sibling, or child. We did our best to find games that are as close to not scary as possible while still being spooky and also being something that you can legitimately still find.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 – Switch

The Luigi’s Mansion series is the pinnacle of spooky but not scary video games. All of them feature Luigi going around sucking up ghosts in a vacuum cleaner Ghostbusters style and just like the iconic movie these games are not meant to be scary. Luigi himself may be spooked as he tries to traverse through a world of ghosts, but the ghosts themselves are about what you would expect from a Mario game. They’re silly, over the top, and extremely creative in a way that is very unique to Nintendo.

We went with Luigi’s Mansion 3 here for a few reasons. The biggest one is that since it’s on the Switch it’s going to be the easiest to find. The other is that Luigi’s Mansion 3 has a great co-op option that makes this game perfect to play with someone else on the couch. It’s plenty of fun on your own, but everyone knows that games are more fun with friends so this gets a strong recommendation from us.

Costume Quest – Steam

Costume Quest is probably the most Halloween-centric game on this list because it’s literally about Halloween! While out trick or treating, your sibling is kidnapped and you have to go on an turn-based RPG adventure to rescue them. Everything about this game is Halloween from the costumes, to collecting candy, and the quests that the player has to complete. On top of all that, it’s also really fun to play too. The gameplay itself is fairly simplistic, making it great for kids, but it’s really fun to explore the world and talk to characters because the writing is superb and genuinely very funny. It also features co-op so it’s yet another game that can be played with someone else on the couch.

Unfortunately, the first Costume Quest can be a little difficult to find on modern consoles since it’s an Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 game. You can play it on Steam, or if you’re someone that doesn’t mind playing the sequel first then you can always play Costume Quest 2 on any modern console. It came out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One which means it can be played on a PlayStation 5 or Series X/S through backward compatibility. It’s not as complicated to hunt down as it sounds, but you might have to put in slightly more work than the other games on this list.

Death Road To Canada – PC, Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4

What if you took The Oregon Trail, set it in a zombie apocalypse, let players put their friends into the game, and wrote one of the funniest games ever made? Well, then you would have Death Road to Canada a total gem of a zombie apocalypse game. While not necessarily spooky outside of the zombie setting, this is a game that’s really fun to play with a large group of friends. It’s the zombie apocalypse and rumors that Canada is a safe haven has the player on a journey to Canada to escape, and as they go on their journey they’ll come across others that can join up with them and those others can be player created versions of friends, family, or whoever really you want them to be. You better be good at managing your resources though, because if your friends die or get mad and leave the party then that’s it for them. They aren’t coming back.

Death Road to Canada shines in its writing. Without giving too much away, there is a scenario where the player gets into a flexing contest with a group of raiders and depending on the result someone has to walk away in shame. It’s extremely funny and only made better when you insert all your friends into the game as well. It’s available on pretty much every modern platform and we highly recommend it.

Castlevania – Switch

Pick any classic Castlevania game and you will find pretty much everything that embodies modern-day spookiness. The player will go on a side-scrolling adventure, whip in hand, and destroy Dracula. On the way, they’ll come across many classic horror icons such as Frankenstein’s Monster, Medusa heads, skeletons, and Death itself. It’s funny because these games were considered horror games back in the day but by current standards the scariest thing about them is how difficult they are. They’re retro games, challenge and all, making them a great way to experience some classic spookiness.

Since these games first came out on the NES and SNES there are plenty of ways to experience them today, but the easiest way is probably the Castlevania Anniversary Collection on Switch. It has all the classics on there so any player can get their fill of spookiness for only $20. Just maybe look up a guide online if you decide to play Castlevania II.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons During October – Switch

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is not a spooky game. The closest it comes to that is a silly ghost that you scare so bad he splits into pieces making you put him back together again, but throughout the month of October, the entire game is full of spookiness. There are Halloween decorations that you can put up, candy is everywhere, and there are plenty of costumes for the player to put on to get into the Halloween spirit. All of this leads up to October 31 when everyone gathers in the town square and the player can use all of the candy they’ve earned for cool rewards and furniture.

Halloween is one of the more fun events in Animal Crossing and it gets even better as your entire island starts to become full of the decorations you put up all over town. If you bought Animal Crossing back in 2020, and haven’t played it since we strongly recommend picking it back up for the holidays. There’s been a lot of updates since then and it’s really fun to back and experience your island for an event like Halloween.

The Lakers ‘Seriously Considered’ A Russell Westbrook For Myles Turner And Buddy Hield Trade Before Training Camp

For most of the summer, there has been one potential Russell Westbrook trade that has always felt like the only real option for the Lakers barring some blockbuster they could sneak into, like when there were rumblings they’d try to be a third team in a Donovan Mitchell to the Knicks trade, only for Mitchell to end up in Cleveland.

We have heard on numerous occasions that the Lakers have engaged in talks with the Pacers on a deal that would bring them Myles Turner and Buddy Hield, sending Westbrook to Indiana alongside their 2027 and 2029 first round picks. There was a report about it on July 9, then again on July 20, only for talks to be dead on July 22, before being resurrected in late September, which led to the Pacers GM insisting Turner wouldn’t be traded before the season.

The refusal to this point to part with both of those picks has been notable from the Lakers, despite reporting that they were willing to do so under the right circumstances. It’s been very clear that the Lakers aren’t completely sold on Turner and Hield being the cure-all for what ails them, but as many have pointed out, those two are far more likely to make them a competent playoff team (with a best case scenario of being a contender pending LeBron James and Anthony Davis’ health) than sticking with Westbrook.

Still, as the Lakers get set for preseason action on Monday, Westbrook remains with the team and everyone is saying the right things about him being a part of the team. That is, until Monday, when we were once again treated to reports that the Lakers “seriously considered” that same deal we’ve been talking about for three months as training camp opened, going so far as to push back some press conferences as the front office debated the move, per Shams Charania.

Vice president of basketball operations and general manager Rob Pelinka, owner Jeanie Buss and senior basketball adviser Kurt Rambis seriously considered sending Westbrook and unprotected first-round picks in 2027 and 2029 to the Pacers for center Myles Turner and guard Buddy Hield, sources said. They held a series of meetings in the days leading up to camp to analyze the possible Pacers deal from every angle, with the views of Ham and Lakers executives Joey and Jesse Buss also being strongly considered in the process. The organization even delayed the midweek news conference for Pelinka and Ham as the debate continued.

In a stunning turn of events, the alleged momentum towards the deal fizzled and the Lakers entered media day and camp with Westbrook in tow. At this point, every time we get another report of the Lakers mulling a Westbrook trade only not to trade him seemingly furthers the schism between the two sides and acts as a self-fulfilling prophecy that things are too far gone to be reconciled, no matter how good Darvin Ham’s plan is for Westbrook this season.

Russ, to his credit, has said the right things and noted that whether the team wants him or not, it’s his job to be a professional and do what he’s always done, which is go out and compete as best he can. Given how many times his name has come up in rumors, it’d be hard to blame him for being more of a malcontent, but even if he’s putting on the right public face, it sure seems like it’d be difficult for there to be much of any trust between player and organization at this moment.

That makes it baffling why the Lakers continue to discuss the same trade over and over, where nothing changes in terms of what’s being asked of them, only to back away from the table while knowing it’s going to come out (or possibly actively leaking it themselves). At this point, if they do end up making this trade it will look ridiculous for a number of reasons, chief among them the fact that they could’ve saved headaches and had a full training camp to integrate two new players, but instead will have chosen to do so on the fly during the regular season. That, maybe more than anything, points to the Lakers keeping Russ and just spending one more year in an unhappy marriage to keep those picks.

Two Of Vladimir Putin’s Most Powerful Allies Are Now Dragging His Disastrous War To His Face

Seven months after Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine, his army’s no closer to taking Kyiv. In fact, his own troops believe that this is an impossible feat to accomplish, given the sh*tshow nature of the war. After all, his mobilized troops are being told to bring tampons to treat bullet wounds, and there’s neither food nor armor to be found. Likewise, Putin’s partial mobilization (which he has semi-admitted to botching) sent Russians fleeing toward the borders, and no one can really see how Putin can win this conflict. That criticism has now extended to two of Putin’s longtime allies on the global stage, but is he listening?

Putin’s not accustomed to tolerating public dissent (just ask the long-imprisoned Alexei Nalvany and local officials who were punished for criticizing the war). Yet two figureheads (Ramzan Kadyrov, a Chechnya leader, and Yevgeny Prigozhin, who founded the Wagner Group mercenaries) are being very public with their dragging of Putin’s war after Russian troops lost a strategically prominent town, Lyman. Via Reuters, here’s what Razman Kadyrov had to say about the Russian army’s leadership:

“Nepotism in the army will lead to no good,” Kadyrov said, adding that the commander of Russian forces in the area should be stripped of his medals and sent to the front line with a gun to wash away his shame with blood.

Kadyrov, who supports the war and has sent many of his own Chechen units to fight, said his criticism was the bitter truth about a Russian fighting force which he said allowed talentless mediocrities to let down the country.

Then Yevgeny Prigozhin added to the public display by declaring, “Ramzan – you rock man!” He added, “All these bastards should be sent barefoot to the front with automatic guns.” And in response, the Kremlin issued an awkward statement about how “[t]he heads of regions have the right to express their point of view,” but “[e]ven at difficult moments, emotions should still be excluded from any assessments.” Putin has yet to directly comment on these draggings, and there’s no word on whether anyone has seen him grow visibly upset as a result. However, all that Botox makes it very easy to hide emotions, so we probably shouldn’t hold our breath on that front.

Barry Keoghan Had A Makeup Request For The Joker’s Look In ‘The Batman’

Barry Keoghan excels at playing dangerous weirdos. No one has eaten spaghetti or betrayed Dev Patel with more menace than the 29-year-old Irish actor, who was a natural fit to play cinema’s most tWiStEd clown, the Joker.

Keoghan made his DC movie debut in The Batman, where he appeared as “Unseen Arkham Prisoner” (later confirmed as, duh, the Joker in a deleted scene). In an interview with GQ UK, he described the Joker as being “a bit charming and a bit hurt,” and shared his one request for playing the character to director Matt Reeves.

Beneath heavy prosthetics that make him look like a maniac run through a meat grinder, Keoghan insisted his blue eyes stayed the same. “I wanted some sort of human in there behind the makeup,” he says. “I want people to relate to him… [to know] this is a façade he puts on.” The character is, to Keoghan, “a broken-down boy.”

Keoghan is also proud that his Joker finished fourth on a list of the best on-screen Jokers. “There were seven and I was number four. Lads, with four minutes of screen time, not bad eh!?” he joked. Even if Keoghan had dropped his pants and farted in Batman’s face (anything is possible with Keoghan), he still wouldn’t have finished last.

Ed Sheeran Says Class Is Back In Session With His New ‘Mathematics’ Tour Announcement

Ed Sheeran is planning to head out on the road to give some more music lessons, aka bringing his Mathematics tour to North America in 2023. In a new announcement on social media, Sheeran’s HQ account wrote, “Sounds like Ed’s next subject in class is the North American #MathematicsTour! Pre-sale starts October 12th.” Khalid, Maisie Peters, Russ, Rosa Linn, Cat Burns, and Dylan will join as openers on the tour.

The announcement also features a video of Sheeran sitting at a classroom desk, as a teacher starts instructing a “Mathematics” class on a chalkboard. She begins to draw the symbols that Sheeran has used for his past albums (plus, equals, divide, multiply). When she does, he gets increasingly confused when songs from each era begin to play, including “The A Team,” “Bad Habits,” and “Thinking Out Loud.”

However, at the end of the video, the teacher reveals a new symbol: minus. This is where Sheeran looks the most confused, as it might be referencing a new album and title. While all of his albums have taken on the math symbols as titles, he has only released four, not five, and never one called “.” Watch the full video below.

While presale for the new tour starts October 12, Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program is open from now until October 9 at 10 pm ET. Continue scrolling for a complete list of Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics North American tour dates.
