Britney Spears Opens Up About Her Sons’ Choice To Distance Themselves From Her: ‘Part Of Me Has Died’

Britney Spears continues to open up about her the estrangement between herself and her children. Last night, she took to Instagram, posting a series of five audio recordings. In the recordings, she revealed how she’s felt not having seen her kids in six months.

Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline and their children, Jayden and Preston, have openly expressed concern for Spears, and have decided to distance themselves from her for the foreseeable future.

“I used to have my kids at one point, way more than Kevin,” she said in the recordings. “People don’t remember that part because they always focus on the negative. But from when they were six to nine years old, I had them 70% of the time. Since they’ve been gone, I’ve honestly felt like a huge part of me has died. Like literally, I have no purpose anymore. They were my joy. They were my everything. I looked forward to seeing them. That was what I lived for. And then all of a sudden, they were gone. And I was like, ‘Did my heart just stop beating?’”

She continued, saying, “I don’t understand how it’s so easy for them just to cut me off like that. I don’t understand it.”

Last week, Spears shared a now-deleted recording, revealing her hurt towards her children’s choice to distance themselves from her, following an interview Jayden did with 60 Minutes Australia.

“Jayden,” she said the in the recording, “as you undermine my behavior just like my whole family always has with, ‘Hope she gets better, I will pray for her.’ […] Pray for what? I keep working so I can pay off [my mother Lynne Spears’] legal fees and her house. Do you guys want me to get better so I can continue to give your dad $40,000 a month? Or is the reasoning behind you guys deciding to be hateful is because it’s actually over in two years and you don’t get anything?”

The Biggest Questions We Have After ‘Power: Raising Kanan’ Season 2, Episode 5

(SPOILERS for this week’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan will be found below.)

In episode five of Power Book III: Raising Kanan, titled What Happens In The Catskills, Raq and Kanan set out to the woods for a one-day camping trip. It’s one that Raq initiates due to her desire to have a day to herself with Kanan. Raq believes that her son will enjoy the day out as he used to be fond of camping as a kid, but with their relationship strained, Kanan is all but excited to be alone with his mother. This strain is a result of Kanan being unsure of who his real father is as well as his doubts that Raq is being truthful if and when he inquires about it.

Elsewhere in What Happens In The Catskills, Lou-Lou and Crown’s relationship as partners at Bulletproof Records is anything but civil as they continue to get on each other’s nerves. Lou-Lou also gives Famous another chance at rapping in the studio while making Jukebox never want to come back again. Marvin somewhat opens up to his anger management counselor Renée and Jukebox’s new relationship with her mother Kenya only improves by the second.

Here are some of the biggest questions we had after the third episode of season two:

To Be Or Not To Be Together?

This question goes to Lou-Lou and Crown. The two launched Bulletproof Records to combine Lou-Lou’s passion and cash supply with Crown’s experience in the music game. While this seems like a perfect combination on paper, it’s anything but that on-screen. It’s beyond clear that Lou-Lou and Crown hate each other. The scene of Crown pulling a gun on Lou-Lou after getting punched by him pretty much describes their relationship. Lou-Lou has no respect for Crown, and while Crown fights to earn it, Lou-Lou brushes his attempts off as nothing but a nuisance. If they could figure things out, Lou-Lou and Crown could do great things at Bulletproof, but they seem very far from an amicable relationship. They may have to coast alone rather than fighting over where and how to steer their ship.

Will Lou-Lou Ever Get It Right?

Lou-Lou recognizes Jukebox’s singing talents, there’s no doubt about that. However, their few interactions in the studio have resulted in her growing more and more frustrated with him. First, he suggested (in not the best way) that changing and improving her style would make her music career more successful. Then he gave another artist on the label a song that Jukebox wrote without her permission, all to tell her that publishing money is something to be happy about. Lou-Lou isn’t the best people person, but man, pissing everyone off while trying to build up his label is going to do a lot more harm than he’s probably aware of.

Is The Cabin Just The Beginning Of Things Catching Up To Raq?

For just one day, Raq wanted to escape the world. The drugs, the Italians, frustrations with the family, and more are some of the things she clearly wanted a break from. The trip to the woods is also one she used to bury a body that dates back to season one, but aside from that, it appeared that Raq seemingly wanted peace for a day. Unfortunately, the Italians followed her to the cabin and unsuccessfully tried to kill both her and Kanan. Altogether, this trip is a perfect example of Raq being unable to take a break from the world she created and hopes to one day run. All of this is coupled with her having a son who is moments away from confronting her about the truth in their lives. In the Raising Kanan world, there’s no hiding even for one day, but is this the beginning of a big swarm heading for Raq?

Did Jukebox Just Find Marvin’s Replacement?

Marvin’s errors with Jukebox couldn’t have come at a worse time for him at least. Her reconnection with her mother Kenya and their improving relationship will only make her more resistant to reconciling with him. Jukebox stares at Marvin with disgust at one moment, and in another, she sings gleefully in church with her mother. Marvin will always be her father and Kenya her mother, but in terms of the parental figure she depends on the most, it appears that Kenya is slowly taking that spot from Marvin. While he acknowledges his wrongs in his strained relationship with Jukebox, as we see him do during a meeting with Renée, Marvin fails to do the same with Jukebox herself. Time is ticking for Marvin. He needs to right his wrongs and do so quickly in order to salvage and maybe improve what’s left of his relationship with Jukebox before she moves on to what she deems as better.

Where Does Kanan Go From Here?

Contrary to his mother’s hopes, Kanan’s time during the camping trip did nothing to improve his relationship with Raq. In fact, it may have worsened as Kanan possibly suspects that they only took the trip to get rid of a dead body. Kanan had no desire to spend a day alone with his mother due to their strained relationship and his body language during their time together makes that more obvious. Deep down, Kanan wants answers from Raq about who is truly his father, but he also knows that confronting her and getting that truth won’t be an easy thing. Additionally, investigating on his own has only made him question things more. Jukebox told him to just open up to Raq and be honest, but Kanan has no desire to do that. However, if he really wants his answers, he’ll have to just suck it up and get it done. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen in future episodes.

New episodes of STARZ’s ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ are available to watch on Sundays at 12:00am EST.

Nate Diaz Ended His UFC Tenure By Submitting Tony Ferguson At UFC 279

Fight week for UFC 279 has not gone according to plan, but after a wild 24 hours that saw a backstage brawl cancel Thursday’s presser and Khamzat Chimaev miss weight by 7.5 pounds on Friday for the main event, Tony Ferguson (26-8) and Diaz (22-13) took center stage in the main event from Las Vegas. After a back-and-forth affair, it was Diaz who ended his UFC tenure with a submission victory in true Diaz fashion, celebrating on his back while earning the tap.

After the win, Diaz mentioned he’d like to take some time away from UFC before returning to win a belt.

Diaz came firing right out of the gate with a slew of shots and Ferguson responded with a big spinning elbow that slowed his opponent. From there, the pace normalized as the two fighters worked their way into the bout. With about a minute remaining in the round, Diaz let his hands fly, getting the crowd on their feet with a nice combination as he pushed Ferguson against the cage. The end of the round saw Ferguson’s corner ignore his shin, after a it was gushing blood following a checked kick from Diaz.

In the second, Ferguson stung Diaz with a nice one-two combination that sent Diaz retreating briefly. Ferguson was the aggressor for the first half of the second, but it was Diaz who began to find his range later in the round, opening a cut on Ferguson’s right eye. Ferguson chipped away at Diaz’s inside leg over and again, causing him to protect himself from the slicing kicks late in the round.

The third saw Diaz take a stroll around the Octagon mid-fight before coming back to attack Ferguson. Ferguson went back to Diaz’s legs with stinging kicks, while Diaz continued to pick apart Ferguson’s face. In between standing and posing for the crowd, Diaz continued to do damage, landing jabs and overhands with ease.

After another dominant round for Diaz, Ferguson tried to get back into the fight with more precise leg kicks, bruising Diaz’s inner leg. Diaz went to work with big shots again in the third before Ferguson went for a takedown. On the ground, Diaz locked in a guillotine and celebrated from his back while earning the submission.

The fight marks the end of Diaz’s current contract with the UFC, and likely the end of his tenure in the promotion.

For Ferguson, his main event appearance comes despite four consecutive losses dating back to 2020, including knockouts at the hands of Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje.

Khamzat Chimaev Needed Less Than A Round To Submit Kevin Holland At UFC 279

Khamzat Chimaev (12-0) kept his record unblemished with a first-round submission of Kevin Holland (23-8) in the co-main event of UFC 279 in Las Vegas.

Chimaev opened the fight with a quick shoot takedown right out of the gate and refused to allow Holland any movement around the Octagon. As Holland tried to slip out of Chimaev’s grasps on the ground, he was simply overwhelmed with Chimaev locking in a d’arce chokehold for the tap out.

Chimaev was supposed to face the legendary Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 279, but was moved to fight Holland after he came nowhere close to making weight on Friday.

There were reports on Friday morning that Chimaev was well off weight ahead of the weigh-in, and sure enough when he strode onto the stage and stepped on the scale, he came in a full 7.5 pounds over the 171 pound limit for the welterweight division. This came after UFC president Dana White cancelled the UFC 279 press conference following a brawl backstage that reportedly involved Chimaev, Diaz, Holland, and their respective camps.

What the future holds for Chimaev is unknown after missing weight by such a wide mark. But he’s certainly knocking at the door for title contention with yet another dominant outing.

Chris Barnett Celebrated A TKO Win With A Front Flip And Double Fisted Beers From The Crowd On His Way Out

Chris Barnett had the time of his life on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

The heavyweight improved his record to 23-8 with a stunning knockout win over Jake Collier in the second round, when he came back from some brutal damage in the first round to reverse the script and pummel Collier for about a minute straight before the ref finally had to step in for the TKO stoppage as Barnett unleashed dozens of punches and hammer fists to Collier’s head while in a commanding top position.

After the stoppage, Barnett proceeded to put on a celebration for the ages in and out of the Octagon, starting with a sensational front flip to a seat.

He then danced to the crowd’s delight as the official time of the TKO was read, clearly living his best life out there.

Barnett wasn’t done though, as the celebration was just starting. As he strode back to the locker room from the Octagon, he snagged not one but two beers from fans in the crowd and proceeded to double fist them while taking pics with fans and having an absolute blast.

This is exactly how I want to see athletes celebrate, and given the beating he took early in the fight it shows he’s a different breed to take that, keep it moving to earn the TKO win himself, and then want to just drink and dance after. I’m not sure where, but Barnett is gonna cut a rug somewhere in Vegas tonight and run up a nice tab.

Holy Cross Beat Buffalo On A Last Second Hail Mary

Week 2 of the college football season didn’t feature a lot of marquee matchups that were expected to be highly competitive. However, all day there were some insane games with wild endings, and more than a few stunning upsets. Alabama and Texas went down to the final seconds with the top-ranked Tide escaping with a one-point win. Notre Dame and Texas A&M were not so lucky, as both top 10 squads got straight up outplayed and outclassed on their home fields by Marshall and Appalachian State respectively and lost. Wisconsin, likewise a healthy favorite at home, got beaten by Washington State.

The ranked teams weren’t the only ones that got stunned, as multiple FCS programs took down FBS squads. Incarnate Word rolled up 55 points on Nevada in a win, while Eastern Kentucky beat Bowling Green in

Buffalo got beaten by Holy Cross on the final play of the game. After Buffalo hit a 52-yard field goal to tie things up at 31-31 with under a minute to play, it seemed like overtime was on its way until Matthew Sluka threw up a prayer and, because he plays at Holy Cross, that was answered.

Somehow, despite a sea of blue Buffalo jerseys going up for the ball and blocking out the Holy Cross receivers from view, Jalen Coker came down with the ball and fell into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown to leave Buffalo absolutely stunned. It’s a great ball from Sluka to get it there across the field, but just a horrific job from the Buffalo defenders, who clearly are too young to have watched NFL Primetime and heard Tom Jackson teach all of us to KNOCK IT DOWN! in that situation.

A Very Drunk LSU Fan Wandered Onto The Field In The Middle Of A Play

There were a lot of college football teams that had a tough time as home favorites on Saturday, but LSU was not one of them as they came off a dreadful Week 1 loss looking to get some positivity going.

While No. 6 Texas A&M and No. 8 Notre Dame were beaten by Sun Belt squads on their home turf, the Tigers welcomed Southern for a short trip to Tiger Stadium in rude fashion, thumping them 51-0 in the first half. This was the expected response playing an FCS squad after the way they lost to Florida State, but the first half did feature one surprising and hilarious moment.

A clearly very drunk LSU fan decided he needed a break from the crowded seats and should take a stroll for some fresh air. The problem was, he decided to take the most direct route for this, striding out of the stands and onto the field, wandering to the 10 yard line in the middle of a play and just soaking it all in.

It’s an absolutely hilarious move as he just throws his hands on his hips and takes a look around, and he doesn’t even see what he did wrong, getting into it with the police at Tiger Stadium and defiantly refusing to leave the field until he is slammed to the ground and unceremoniously cuffed and hauled off. Luckily he won’t miss much in the second half and hopefully he can sober up before a walk home from the precinct.

Lizzo Is Ecstatic After Jojo And Jojo Siwa Made ‘2 Be Loved’ TikTok Videos

Lizzo is extremely talented and successful, yet as humble as they come. Her performances carry such confidence and vigor that it would make sense if no one ever tried to replicate them. However, Jojo and Jojo Siwa made the bold attempt by performing their own renditions of “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” on TikTok. Evidently, they nailed it as Lizzo responded with enthusiasm.

In a TikTok video shared on Twitter on Saturday (September 10), Siwa can be seen dancing energetically in a driveway loaded with fancy cars to Lizzo’s upbeat record. The video then transitions to Jojo singing a rousing cover backed by accompanying singers before Lizzo comes on the screen.

“Not both Jojo’s doing ‘2 Be Loved’ in the same damn day,” the Special artist said. The moment led her to try and turn the performances into a challenge of sorts. “Jojo Siwa! Jojo Jojo! Now I need all the Jojo’s to do ‘2 Be Loved.’ Joe Jonas, K-Ci & Jojo, Jojo The Dolphin, Mojo Jojo, b*tch!”

Time will tell if another Jojo steps up, but her enthusiasm makes the moment the icing on the cake of what has been a successful year for Lizzo. She released Special back in July to major fanfare, led by the singles “Grrrls” and “About Damn Time.”

Check out the TikTok videos and Lizzo’s reaction above.

Nicki Minaj Might Have Dissed Latto During ‘Queen Radio’ After Latto Said That Female Rap Is Now Thriving

One thing that has become clear over the last few years is that when Nicki Minaj hosts her infamous Queen Radio show, someone will more than likely be dissed. The latest target appears to be Latto, as the “Super Freaky Girl” artist seemed to have some choice words that could be for her in the wake of her assertion that female rap is more balanced than it has ever been.

In a clip posted to Twitter on Friday (September 9), a fan screen recorded a 40-second snippet of Nicki Minaj’s recent radio show saying “A lot of other people come in one day, and the next day you’re trying to categorize yourself with people who have been f*cking working and putting their blood, sweat, and tears into this sh*t for 15 and 20 motherf*cking years. And then that album comes out and you can clearly see you haven’t built up a loyal fanbase yet who actually likes your f*cking music. And then what they start doing is they start digging the hole deeper for themselves.”

Though the Queen artist did not say a name, many believe this was pointed at the “Big Energy” rapper. In a follow-up tweet, the same fan shared a clip of Latto’s interview with Hollywood Unlocked from March where she says “Look how many female rappers is thriving right now, versus it being Nicki and everybody else.” Notably, her gesture when mentioning Nicki Minaj indicated she was above everyone else, and the subsequent gesture showed a more level playing field in reference to today’s female rap landscape.

While it appears Latto had no malice toward Minaj, it is not rare for the “Barbie Tingz” artist to take offense to statements that weren’t intended to be offensive. Latto has not made any comments in retort, but their fanbases have been going at it on Twitter ever since the initial clip dropped, with some referencing Nicki targeting Lil Kim in the early days of her career.

Check out the Queen Radio clip above.

Appalachian State Went On The Road And Took Down No. 6 Texas A+M

Week 2 wasn’t filled with many games that people had highlighted on their calendars, but before nightfall arrived on the East Coast a pair of top 10 teams that entered the day favored by three touchdowns found themselves handed a loss by Sun Belt opponents.

After No. 8 Notre Dame got stunned by Marshall at home, it was No. 6 Texas A&M’s turn as they learned the hard way why you don’t invite Appalachian State to your home stadium, as the Mountaineers took them down in a 17-14 win that featured a lot of defense, a lot of mediocre play from the Aggies offense, and impressive physicality from a Mountaineers team that came a two-point conversion shy of taking UNC to overtime (in a much different looking game) a week ago.

The Mountaineers defense was sensational a week after giving up over 60 to UNC, holding the Aggies to just 186 total yards and forcing two turnovers, including this strip sack that led to their first score of the game.

Texas A&M would tie things up at 7-7 going into halftime and the two teams would trade third quarter touchdowns before the Mountaineers would take the lead on a field goal (after dropping a wide open touchdown) to go up 17-14. Texas A&M would be the beneficiary of a roughing the passer call on the ensuing drive, and marched into App State territory for only the third time all day, but once again stalled out. A 47-yard field goal attempt was what stood between the Aggies and a tie game, and the result was a non-competitive kick that left the Mountaineers just a couple minutes shy of another monstrous upset.

App State would pick up a first down and then iced the game on a long run down to the Texas A&M 12, as the College Station crowd was left stunned and the folks from Boone were going crazy. It was a dominant performance from the Mountaineers statistically, even if it didn’t show up as much on the scoreboard, and was far from a fluky outcome. They outgained the Aggies 314-186, had 22 first downs to just 9 from Texas A&M, and had the ball for 41:30 of the game.

The Sun Belt is looking like the best G5 conference in the country after Week 2 and teams are going to be checking their future schedules to make sure they haven’t invited the ‘eers to their place in the near future.
