Blackpink Reveals The Tracklist For ‘Born Pink,’ Their Sophomore Album

We are just over a week away from Blackpink‘s sophomore album, Born Pink. Ahead of the album, the ladies of the K-pop group have already delivered a fantastic visual for the lead single, “Pink Venom,” as well as an iconic performance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.

Not to mention, the members are killing it as a group, and as individuals. Last month, Blackpink member Lisa took home the Best K-Pop moonperson for her song “Lalisa” at the VMAs. Also member Jennie will have a role on HBO’s upcoming series, The Idol.

Today, Blackpink took to social media to reveal the tracklist for Born Pink, which will feature “Pink Venom,” as well as “Shut Down,” which they have deemed the “title track” of the album.

Members Jisoo and Rosé are credited as co-writers on the track “Yeah Yeah Yeah.” Teddy Sinclair, formerly known as Natalia Kills, co-wrote and co-produced a song called “The Happiest Girl,” along with her husband, Willy Sinclair. While their debut album, The Album boasted collaborations with Selena Gomez and Cardi B, Born Pink doesn’t appear to have any features by other artists.

Check out the “Born Pink” tracklist below.

Central Cee Breaks Down UK Slang In A Proper LA Leakers Freestyle For Power 106

We’ve been touting the potential that West London’s Central Cee has in making UK drill rap a fixture across Stateside for a minute. The dude is pure flow and attacks the mic like his life depends on it. It’s evident throughout his new album, 23, and especially on his latest one-off single, “Doja.” Cench will have a chance to show us in person when he embarks on his first ever US tour in October, but he’s already spending time in California to generate buzz. Yesterday, he hopped on Power 106 to drop an official LA Leakers freestyle and hoowee! Cench didn’t come to play.

Hosts Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk introduced him as “our brother from across the pond,” and no sooner after the beat dropped did Central Cee get to work. Wrapped in a blue Brazilian soccer jersey and his diamond-studded 23 necklace, there was no “check, check,” there was no “yo yo, yo, yo…” the beat dropped and he went in.

For most of the three-minute maelstrom, he freestyled about different slang in America vs. in England. The further he went in on the flow, the more complex the lyrics got. “We say, ‘cash, P’s, racks, G’s, we don’t really call them bands / In LA it’s Escalades, in the Ends it’s Mercedes vans.” The more it went on, the more it felt like nothing short of if Big L had dropped “Ebonics” as a freestyle.

Check out Central Cee’s LA Leakers freestyle above.

Tegan And Sara Debut A Reflective Smashing Pumpkins Cover In A New ‘High School’ Trailer

Tegan And Sara are in the midst of a big leap to TV, as their series High School, based on the Quin sisters’ 2019 memoir of the same name, premieres on Amazon Freevee this fall (October 14, specifically). So, they’ve been busy hyping that up, most recently with the show’s first teaser, which they shared about a month ago.

Now, they’re going back to their bread and butter — music — to push the program, sharing an Amazon Music-exclusive cover of Smashing Pumpkins’ “Today,” a recording that soundtracks a new trailer for the show that was unveiled today. The new rendition takes a softer approach to the ’90s classic, although the rock edge of the original tune shines through as the song progresses.

The YouTube video description of the trailer notes of the show, “High School is a story about finding your own identity — a journey made even more complicated when you have a twin whose own struggle and self-discovery so closely mimic your own. Told through a backdrop of ‘90s grunge and rave culture, the series weaves between parallel and discordant memories of twin sisters growing up down the hall from one another.”

It’s going to be a busy fall for Tegan And Sara, as they also have a new album, Crybaby, dropping shortly after High School premieres.

Check out the High School trailer above and listen to Tegan And Sara’s cover of “Today” here.

Crybaby is out 10/21 via Mom+Pop Music. Pre-save it here.

Kate Walsh Is Returning To ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Once Again, Officially, For Season 19(?!)

Everyone remembers where they were when Addison Montgomery showed up at the end of season one of Grey’s Anatomy. Okay, maybe not everyone, but she single-handedly shattered the Grey’s universe when it was revealed that she was married to McDreamy aka Patrick Demsey’s character on the hit ABC show that is still running, even if you stopped watching after season five like most of the world. But, the series is coming up on its 19th (!) season, and Addison will make her triumphant return.

Kate Walsh has joined the upcoming season as a recurring character at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital, reprising her role as Dr. Addison Montgomery, a neo-natal surgeon. Walsh was originally on the series from 2005 to 2007, when she got her own Grey’s spinoff Private Practice, which ran for six seasons.

Throughout the 18-season run, Walsh would return for a handful of episodes here and there, most recently for a multi-episode story arch in 2021. For season 19, Walsh will be upgraded to a recurring star, which softens the blow after it was revealed that Ellen Pompeo would be appearing in a limited capacity. Pompeo is one of three original cast members remaining on the show, where she also serves as producer.

Now that the show has brought back both living and dead characters, it’s time for the show to bring back the only actual ghost, Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He is ready and willing to do it!

Rema And Selena Gomez Show Off Some Laid-Back Looks In Their ‘Calm Down’ Video

Two weeks after releasing the Selena Gomez remix of his hit song “Calm Down,” Afrobeats star Rema has followed up with the official video. The simple, sweet clip pairs the two singers on a variety of sets made up like a living room, a breakfast nook, and a garage, where they dance gently as they perform the song. Both are styled in laid-back looks; Rema rocks a few button-up shirts with elaborately braided hair adorned with cowrie shells, while Selena does corset tops with slacks and jeans.

Shortly ahead the release of the “Calm Down” remix, the Only Murders In The Building star shared a promo teaser in which she said, “I’m really excited to see the person that asked me to be on a song that I couldn’t be more honored to do. The song’s fun, I hope people like it. That’s all I want.” Meeting Rema backstage at his show in LA, she encourages him to “have fun” on stage, while he admits that he’s “shaking” to meet her. The remix could certainly go a long way toward driving his popularity stateside, opening up his music to a whole new audience. Meanwhile, it’s also a great way for Selena to get her feet wet as she apparently prepares to return to the spotlight herself after sharing a video of herself in a recording studio.

You can watch the video for the “Calm Down” remix above.

Guy Fieri’s Changes To His Mayor Of Flavortown ‘Lifestyle’ Include No Eating Until Noon

Guy Fieri is 54 years old. He can’t eat Trash Can Nachos and Loaded Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese and Cheeto Dusted Pork Rinds the way he used to. In fact, the Mayor of Flavortown isn’t eating anything before noon these days, as he revealed to People.

“I’ve changed my lifestyle in the last couple years — what I eat, when I eat, how I eat. I don’t want to be one of those guys that burns up through the tunnel. I’m in better shape now than I was when I was 30. I don’t want to die young. I want to be around for my kids,” Fieri explained. The Rage fan now works out at 6 a.m. daily, doesn’t drink on weekdays, and practices intermittent fasting. “I don’t eat until noon. At first I was worried it would make me sluggish, but my body learned the routine, and my energy increased.”

Fieri does have The Rock-lite cheat days, though.

Shoot days for Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives are the exception, but they are not the gluttonous feasts viewers see — or think they see — onscreen. “Everybody thinks I chug down the whole cheeseburger,” he says. “I’ll try two items in a restaurant, three restaurants in a day. By the time I’ve had two bites of each food, I’m full.”

Fieri told People that when he dies, he wants people to remember him as being “good for mankind” and for helping others. These are both true, but to me, he’s the guy who coined the phrase “chug down the whole cheeseburger.” Now there’s a legacy.

Luka Doncic Gave France Les Bleus With A Record 47 Points At EuroBasket 2022

Since guiding his Dallas Mavericks to their first Western Conference Finals trip since 2011 in May, Luka Doncic has hardly seemed to take a hiatus from organized basketball games. Between EuroBasket qualifiers and the tournament itself, Doncic has extended his blazing spring to a blazing summer and soon-to-be fall.

On Wednesday evening, he and his native Slovenia squared off against France. These are two of the premier national teams in Europe. Slovenia is the reigning EuroBasket champion, while France just finished runner-up at the 2021 Olympics last summer. En route to that silver medal, France knocked off Slovenia, 90-89, in a thrilling semifinals matchup.

Doncic and Slovenia exacted some revenge Wednesday, defeating France, 88-82, in group play. Leading Slovenia’s efforts was Doncic, who poured in a 21st-century EuroBasket record with 47 points. He scored 22 in the first 12 minutes, had 27 at halftime and entered the final frame already with 37. His 47 points marked the most over the past 65 years of EuroBasket history and are the second-most all-time.

The usual Luka Magic was in full effect, but he somehow outdid his typical theatrics with this patently absurd bucket.

To be clear, that is a three-point floater over the outstretched arms of 7’1 Rudy Gobert, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year and one of the greatest defenders of the generation. Doncic’s touch is foolishly splendid.

Later, Doncic continued his dazzling shot-making, despite Gobert’s best efforts, with a classic stepback triple.

Although Gobert didn’t match Doncic’s 47, he did notch 19 points on 9-for-10 shooting, eight rebounds, one assist and a thunderous slam over Doncic.

The irony in Doncic’s historic performance is a day earlier, when Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 41 points in Greece’s 99-79 win over Germany, Doncic said he’d bet on Antetokounmpo to set the EuroBasket scoring record. At the time, Antetkounmpo’s 41 points were the most in a EuroBasket game since Dirk Nowitzki’s 43 in 2001.

Through five games, Slovenia sits atop Group B with nine points and France is second with eight points. They’ll both be advancing to the elimination stage. If we’re lucky, we might be treated to a rematch, where Doncic could even outdo himself.

A Judge Ruled That A New Mexico Official Is ‘Constitutionally Disqualified’ From Holding Office Due To Being A MAGA Insurrectionist Who Stormed The Capital On Jan 6th

Though logic would seem to dictate that if you stormed the Capitol on January 6th, holding an official position within the government you were hoping to dismantle would be a no-no. Amazingly, it’s pretty damn difficult to get from Point A to Point B in these situations. Case in point: Couy Griffin, a city commissioner in New Mexico and January 6th insurrectionist, just became the first official in more than a century to be removed from office because the Constitution frowns on lawmaker-traitor hybrids.

On Tuesday, a New Mexico judge ruled that Griffin be removed from office under the 14th Amendment, which states that: “No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

As The New York Times reports, Griffin’s removal from office made history as the first time in more than a century that a lawmaker has been ousted from their position as a result of the 14th Amendment, which is sometimes referred to as the Reconstruction Amendment. As Luke Broadwater and Alan Feuer write:

The ruling declared the Capitol assault an insurrection and unseated Couy Griffin, a commissioner in New Mexico’s Otero County and the founder of Cowboys for Trump, who was convicted earlier this year of trespassing when he breached barricades outside the Capitol during the attack. The judge’s order grabbed the attention of advocates across the country who have been pushing to use the 14th Amendment to disqualify former President Donald J. Trump and elected officials who worked with him in seeking to overturn the 2020 election from holding office in the future.

In his decision, Judge Francis J. Mathew of the New Mexico District Court said the insurrection on Jan. 6 included not only the mob violence that unfolded that day, but also the “surrounding planning, mobilization and incitement” that led to it.

“Mr. Griffin is constitutionally disqualified from serving,” the judge wrote.

Though Griffin is the first person in more than 100 years to actually lose his job over the events of January 6th, it’s not for lack of trying. From Marjorie Taylor Greene to Madison Cawthorn, various other groups have attempted to prevent politicians who took part in the attacks on the Capitol from being allowed to run for office again. While, so far, those efforts have been unsuccessful, Griffin’s ouster could set a new precedent.

“This just went from being theoretical to being something that is legally recognized and legally possible,” Noah Bookbinder, director of the nonpartisan watchdog organization Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington—the group that filed the suit against Griffin on behalf of concerned New Mexico residents—told The New York Times. “That’s hugely significant. It could have real implications for protecting the country from people associated with the effort to overturn the last election.”

Zach Wilson Will Be Out Until Week 4 As The Jets Turn To Joe Flacco

The New York Jets lived every team’s worst nightmare this preseason when their young star quarterback suffered a non-contact knee injury while scrambling during a preseason game.

When Zach Wilson hobbled off the field, Jets fans and the organization held their breath, and while the ultimate diagnosis was better than the feared worst case outcome, Wilson still had to have arthroscopic surgery to repair a meniscus tear. The initial timetable given was for Wilson to miss 2-4 weeks, and after he did some running early this week, there was some hope he might be on the field sooner than later. However, with the Baltimore Ravens lurking on Sunday for their Week 1 game, Jets coach Robert Saleh confirmed the team would be starting veteran (and former Raven) Joe Flacco in the opener while also noting that Wilson will sit out the first three weeks of the season, with the team targeting their Week 4 matchup with Pittsburgh for his return.

With the Jets opening their season with four straight games against AFC North foes — Baltimore, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh — they’ll let the veteran Flacco get them going early against the presumed three tougher teams, and hope to get Wilson back closer to 100 percent before putting him back on the field. While Wilson hasn’t suffered any setbacks, the Jets will play it as safe as possible with the young man they hope can be their franchise quarterback and it’s hard to blame them.

The New ‘Tulsa King’ Teaser Has Sly Stallone Laying Down Old School Mafia Rules In Oklahoma

After turning Yellowstone into a massive franchise for Paramount, Taylor Sheridan is back with a new TV series that brings another Hollywood legend to the small screen: Sylvester Stallone. Trading in the mountains of Montana for the plains of Oklahoma, Tulsa King features Stallone as a displaced mob boss who reluctantly finds himself banished to a place that’s nothing like the streets of New York.

While intent on learning why he’s really been sent away, the new teaser shows Stallone’s character having free reign to do as he pleases in the Oklahoma town. With nothing else to do, he quickly gets to work setting up his own criminal enterprise. If he’s going to be stuck in this town, he might as well rule it.

Tulsa King also stars Andrea Savage (I’m Sorry), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Max Casella (The Tender Bar), Domenick Lombardozzi (The Irishman), Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire), Jay Will (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), A.C. Peterson (Superman & Lois), and Garrett Hedlund (The United States vs. Billie Holiday).

Here’s the official synopsis:

TULSA KING follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone), just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Okla. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.

Tulsa King premieres November 13 on Paramount+.
