Elon Musk’s 2020 EDM Song ‘Don’t Doubt Ur Vibe’ Triumphantly Returns In A New Tesla Ad

It seems like Elon Musk never stops, and in early 2020, he even found time to release an EDM song, “Don’t Doubt Ur Vibe.” It’s been about two-and-a-half years since the track came out and now it’s back, via a new Tesla ad.

The clip runs for about 90 seconds and features four Tesla cars putting on a light show in a warehouse, synchronized to the song. The tune’s lyrics — “Don’t doubt your vibe / Because it’s true / Don’t doubt your vibe / Because it’s you” — are also projected on a wall.

Meanwhile, Musk was recently amused by a Billie Eilish meme about him, which has childhood photos of them both and reads, “One day, Billie Eilish was walking outside and she saw a boy crying. She said to him ‘Here kid, have a roll of Air Conditioning Pair Coil 1/4’ by 3/8’ 410A 20m Polyethylene UV protected insulated Copper heat resistant to 120C. You’re destined to do great things.’ That boy was Elon Musk.” Musk added, “Still so grateful.”

Elsewhere, the world’s richest person recently declared his two main goals for the year are getting his SpaceX Starship to orbit and the wide release of FSD (full self-driving) in Tesla cars, adding, “Many other things, of course, but those are the 2 giant kahunas. Will require insane work by many super talented people, but, if anyone can do it, they can. It is an honor to work with such awesome human beings.”

Kevin Smith Wore An Extremely On-Brand Outfit To Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck’s Wedding

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got married (yes, again) in Georgia this weekend. Mazel tov to the happy couple! The ceremony was officiated by podcaster Jay Shetty (no word on whether the wedding was sponsored by MeUndies or BlueChew), while the guest list included Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel, George Clooney, Renee Zellweger, Jane Fonda, and Kevin Smith. Affleck and the Clerks filmmaker have known each other since 1995, when Affleck was cast in Mallrats. They had a falling out, but patched things up thanks to Conan the Barbarian (Affleck made a cameo in 2019’s Jay and Silent Bob Reboot).

“Hands down, [it was] one of the five most beautiful moments I’ve ever experienced in my life, and it had nothing to do with me,” Smith told People about the wedding. “I know them, and so it makes it warm and wonderful. But even if I didn’t know these two — but I just knew the story and the history — it was so incredibly beautiful.”

Smith said Affleck “never looked better than he’s looked his entire life,” and that the actor was “radiating f*cking joy as he looked down the aisle and saw the woman of his dreams coming toward him, and she radiated it right back.” Everyone in attendance wore white, including Smith in his trademark shorts and backwards baseball cap, as seen below.

If only they made jorts in white.

Sean Hannity Is So Mad Over John Fetterman’s Trolling That He’s Threatening To Sue Him

If Sean Hannity fought John Fetterman, who would win? It’s a trick question, as Hannity would send a lawyer in as a proxy to battle it out in court. Which, as The Daily Beast reports, is exactly what the Fox News host threatened to do if Fetterman continues “lying about me [and] calling me a liar” (Hannity’s words).

On Tuesday night, Hannity spent several minutes insulting Fetterman, who is squaring off against Hannity pal/New Jersey Man Dr. Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania’s heated senatorial race — and is currently leading the TV quack by five points. In the course of four minutes, Hannity attempted to paint Dr. Oz as a “Washington outsider” in the same way that Donald Trump was promoted as just that (read: as if it were a good thing), and Fetterman as a lazy, socialist “trust fund brat.”

“This guy, by the way, never had a real job in his life,” Hannity said by way of introduction. “Fetterman is the guy in the tattoos and the hoodie, never worked a real job in his life. He lived off mommy and daddy as a real trust fund brat. He apparently paid $1 to buy his home from his own family. He is a devout Bernie Sanders-loving socialist… He wants to legalize heroin, supports abortion until the moment of birth — no restrictions. He also wants to release murderers and rapists from jail in order to reduce the prison population by a full third.”

As one might guess, this is a gross oversimplification of Fetterman’s beliefs and plans for Pennsylvania. Which makes it even more ironic that the biggest problem Hannity seems to have with the tatted up candidate is that he has referenced these regular attacks from Fox News and other conservative media outlets in his fundraising campaigns, so that he can fight back. But Hannity isn’t ok with that.

While Hannity had no problem declaring Fetterman, who suffered a stroke just days before the Pennsylvania primaries, “unfit” for office, he’s pissed that the senatorial candidate has used those attacks as fundraising fodder. As Hannity explained:

As of now, the Fetterman campaign is refusing to debate Dr. Oz. Also refusing my invitation to appear on this program as he and his campaign have been lying about me, raising money off of my name. He apparently sent yet another fundraising text attacking me, lying about me, calling me a liar. Every day he lies about me, I’ll continue to tell the truth about his radical, extreme positions. Way out of touch with the hardworking people of Pennsylvania. And, by the way my trust fund brat friend: When you attack me, I will attack you back 10 to 100 times harder because you’re a lying loser. And raising money for your losing campaign. He may be hearing from my lawyers very shortly. He better hope that mommy and daddy have enough money to pay his legal bills.

Wow, 10 to 100 times harder? We guess the ferocity of the attack depends on the day. You can watch Hannity’s full segment over on The Daily Beast here. But what someone should really be taking legal action against is this:

Aly & AJ Were Apparently Offered The Lead ‘Hannah Montana’ Roles Before Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus became a star with her leading role in Hannah Montana, but there were apparently a lot of opportunities for things to go differently.

In a recent TikTok video, Lisa London, the Hannah Montana casting director, revealed that during the casting process in 2005, there were three final actresses considered for the role of Miley Stewart (then named Chloe Stewart). One was Daniella Monet, who had a main role in the short-lived Jason Alexander series Listen Up! before joining the cast of Nickelodeon’s Victorious in 2010. Another was Taylor Momsen, who played Cindy Lou Who in 2000s How The Grinch Stole Christmas and later starred in Gossip Girl before shifting her focus to her band, The Pretty Reckless. The other one was, of course, Cyrus.

Following that video, Aly & AJ, the sister musical duo of musicians/actors Aly and AJ Michalka, had a tidbit to add: Aly was apparently offered the lead role before anybody else while AJ was offered the Lilly Truscott part, the latter of which ultimately went to Emily Osment. From the Aly & AJ Twitter account, AJ tweeted, “I adore Lisa London but I have some tea beyond the tea to spill. Gary Marsh originally offered the role of ‘Hannah Montana’ to Aly and I was offered the role of ‘Lilly Truscott’ (I know this so doesn’t matter but thought I’d chime in).”

Aly has discussed this before, saying on a 2021 podcast, “I at least know that I was the first because I was attached to a show that was already on the channel and was just ending [Phil Of The Future], and then I think once I passed, they came back one more time and were like, ‘Are you sure? Because we’re going to go on to the next person and offer it to another couple people.’”

‘Better Call Saul’ Had A Funny, Memorable Blondie Scene And Debbie Harry Loves It

Last week marked the end of Better Call Saul, when the series finale aired on August 15. The long-running Breaking Bad spin-off had a ton of great moments since its 2015 debut, but one recent one resonated with Blondie’s Debbie Harry for obvious reasons.

In “Waterworks,” the episode before the finale that aired on August 8, there’s a scene where Bob Odenkirk’s Gene Takovic (aka Saul Goodman) drives and sings along with Blondie’s 1980 No. 1 single “The Tide Is High” on the radio. However, he starts belting out the song’s chorus too soon before catching himself and awkwardly sitting in silence.

Harry got a kick out of that, as she shared the clip on Twitter yesterday (August 23) and wrote, “That feeling when you come into the chorus too early… [crying laughing emoji] Well done @BetterCallSaul and Bob Odenkirk!”

It turns out the moment was actually courtesy of some creative input from Odenkirk. In a tweet from earlier this month, a fan asked show co-creator Peter Gould, “Does anyone remember whose idea it was for Gene to go to the chorus early and then correct himself while singing along to ‘Tide Is High’ in the car? It is such an accurate and REAL moment.” Gould responded, “Vince [Gilligan, Better Call Saul co-creator] tells me that was all @mrbobodenkirk!”

Azealia Banks Says Her Own Reality TV Show Is Happening

Azealia Banks is always up to something. Sometimes she’s causing trouble, like provoking Beyonce fans or roasting Iggy Azalea. Today, though, the rapper took to her Instagram Story, where she often posts, to announce that she has a reality TV show in the making.

“Ok so the Azealia Banks reality tv show is happening,” she wrote. In typical Banks fashion, she then added some humor, writing, “I’m excited. FINALLY people get to see the real me: an asshole.” She may not be the most reliable source, but she sure does seems excited.

In February, Banks took a moment on social media to share a lengthy message criticizing Kanye West and his treatment of Kim Kardashian. “Y’all are making way too many excuses for Kanye,” she said to begin her message which she posted on her Instagram Story. “This is the second time he has publicly bullied North West. First with the abortion sh*t, and now putting her on blast on his Instagram page as if she’s some sort of criminal.” She continued, “Kanye had no problem with that magazine cover where North had on a f*cking belly top and purple eyeliner with her little buds showing thru the shirt, he thought it was fashion. You all said nothing.”

‘Halloween Ends’ May Be Debuting On Peacock The Same Day As Theaters, But Star Jamie Lee Curtis Thinks You Should Watch It Both Ways

Last year, Universal made a totally understandable decision: They would release Halloween Kills, the sequel to 2018’s Halloween (aka the second direct sequel to 1978’s Halloween), both in theaters and on their streamer, Peacock. First boosters had only recently started unrolling; the pandemic was still going strong. It still is, to be honest, but people over the last year have become a lot more comfortable seeing movies in theaters. And yet Universal is still doing the same thing with the franchise’s latest finale.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Halloween Ends — which features star Jamie Lee Curtis’ second (and presumably final) farewell to the character she’s played since the Carter administration — will do the same thing as its predecessor. When the threequel/fourquel opens on Oct. 14, over two weeks shy of the titular holiday, it will play in theaters and on Peacock. But Curtis had a recommendation on how to watch it.

In a video posted on Instagram, the almost erstwhile Laurie Strode talked up her final stint as the character, calling it a “fitting conclusion.” But she also addressed the elephant in the room: the idea that people can watch it at home (as part of a streamer subscription) or in theaters (for a fee). She suggested: Why not both? “You could do what I would do, which is go to the theater, then watch it at home, then go back to the theater, then rewatch it at home again,” she said. That’s like four times!

So it’s up to you: Is it more fun to “scream your guts out,” as Curtis put it, in a theater with a bunch of similarly faux-petrified strangers? Or do it in the comfort of your own home, maybe by yourself? Whatever the case, Halloween Ends opens on Oct. 14.

The Sky Used A Late Barrage To Eliminate The Liberty From The 2022 Playoffs

After an upset defeat in Game 1 of a first round series, the reigning WNBA champion Chicago Sky found themselves facing elimination sooner than most anticipated. On cue, the Sky throttled the New York Liberty by a 38-point margin in Game 2, setting a WNBA playoff record for margin of victory in the process, but Chicago still faced an elimination scenario with Game 3 on the road on Tuesday.

Though much of the game was competitive, the Sky used a haymaker of a fourth quarter run to put the exclamation point on a 90-72 win and a series victory. From the opening tip-off, the energy level was sky-high for the first-ever WNBA Playoff game at Barclays Center, and the Liberty bounced back effectively from Game 2.

New York’s Marine Johannes keyed an intriguing start for the home team, firing a fantastic pass and burying back-to-back three-pointers in the first five minutes.

Johannes made her first three triples in the first quarter, scoring nine points, and that work kept the Liberty in touch. On the other side, the Sky generated eight assists and converted eight of her 11 attempts from inside the arc, operating with real balance and taking a five-point lead at the end of the opening period.

On defense, the Sky were creating havoc, including five turnovers in the first quarter, and that continued into the second period. Chicago eventually built a 12-point halftime lead, including a pivotal three-point connection from Courtney Vandersloot.

In the first half, Chicago shot 54 percent from the floor with 17 assists, headlined by 12 points from Vandersloot. Six players on the Sky scored at least seven points, and Chicago’s defensive havoc led directly to 13 points off New York’s turnovers. That led to a comfortable, double-digit lead for the Sky at the break, but nothing was assured in an elimination game on the road.

The Sky extended their lead to 14 points in the early moments of the third quarter, but the Liberty picked up their defensive intensity. New York slashed the margin back to single digits as a result, with Sabrina Ionescu knocking down a pull-up jumper to force a Chicago timeout.

Chicago scored only three points in more than six minutes, floundering after a hyper-efficient first half showing. New York failed to take full advantage of the defensive progress, however, and Chicago was able to extend the lead back to 13 points after an extremely lucky bounce led to a basket with 2:17 to go in the third.

The Liberty did not fold from there, responding with a Natasha Howard put-back at the buzzer. That gave Chicago only a ten-point lead as the closing period arrived, and the door was open for New York’s potential comeback at home. Then, within the first 30 seconds of the fourth quarter, Ionescu produced a five-point possession on her own with the help of a missed free throw and a difficult three-pointer.

With that explosion from Ionescu as the centerpiece, New York scored nine straight points and climbed within a 68-65 deficit with more than eight minutes remaining. That uptick was short-lived for the Liberty, as Chicago had an on-time response. The Sky scored the next 16 consecutive points, taking a commanding 19-point lead seemingly in the blink of an eye.

The damage was done at that point, with the Sky cruising to the 18-point victory. Chicago received balance contributions, including six players scoring in double figures, and the duo of Vandersloot and Candace Parker led the way. Vandersloot finished with 14 points, 10 assists and five rebounds on the night, with Parker adding 14 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists in the frontcourt. The Sky also held the Liberty to only 30 points in the second half, and a valiant effort from New York simply wasn’t enough.

The Sky will advance to face the winner of Wednesday’s Game 3 matchup between the Connecticut Sun and the Dallas Wings in the semifinal. That series will begin on Sunday as the nightcap of a doubleheader after Game 1 between the Seattle Storm and the Las Vegas Aces.

Arctic Monkeys Debut A Laid-Back New Song Called ‘I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am’ In Zurich

Indie icons Arctic Monkeys have been on an electrifying tour while every now and then teasing new music. The excitement is accumulating with every performance — but especially tonight when they debuted a new song titled “I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am” at a Zurich show.

The track is laidback and playful, driven by Alex Turner’s stunning vocals and wonky guitar riffs. It’s tame, closer to their latest album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, than any of their faster old stuff.

They were asked late last year if the next album was finished. “Yeah, pretty much, yeah,” drummer Matt Helders replied. “It was a bit disjointed how we had to do it, and there are bits to finish off, but yeah, it’s all in the works.” He added that he’s confident the album will arrive at some point in 2022. “I think by the time we get everything together it’ll be next year,” he said. “Hopefully we can get out and tour next summer.” Helders then spoke about the sound future listeners can expect to hear on their seventh album, adding, “We tend to always move it on a little bit. For us, because we’re so involved in it, it always makes sense.”

Why Did Scrappy From ‘Power: Raising Kanan’ Get Killed?

SPOILERS for this week’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan will be found below.)

The second season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan kicked off with the return of all main and recurring characters from season one. The closest encounter with death last season came when Kanan was held at gunpoint during an armed robbery and when Lou-Lou was ambushed at his home. Just two weeks into season two, we’ve already had to say goodbye to a frequent face in Power Book III: Raising Kanan, that being Scrappy, after he was shot and killed by Raq at the end of episode two, titled Mind Your Business.

Why Did Scrappy From Power Book III: Raising Kanan Get Killed?

In the first episode of this season’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Raq warns Scrapy to stay low and out of trouble, which means that he’ll have to ignore his gambling itch for some time. Scrappy fails to heed Rap’s warning and he’s soon arrested in the middle of a poker game by the FBI. In Mind Your Business, Detective Howard sees Scrappy in police custody at the precinct and incorrectly assumes that he’s snitching on Raq and the crew. Howard informs Raq about Scrappy’s appearance at the precinct, which also leads to Raq’s assumption that Scrappy is ratting her out to the police.

After some back and forth with Lou-Lou and Marvin, who also did some investigating himself, the trio determined that it was necessary to kill Scrappy. They tricked Scrappy into believing that he was on his way to a new setup for the drug operation, one that he would completely run. Raq was already at the location, unbeknownst to him, with a gun in hand ready to kill Scrappy, which she did to close Mind Your Business.

New episodes of STARZ’s ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ are available to watch on Sundays at 12:00am EST.
