Cardi B Now Has A Face Tattoo

Cardi B has one of the most distinct tattoos in all of entertainment, the gigantic peacock piece on her leg and hip. Now, she’s gotten some new ink that can’t be covered up by a dress or pair of pants: Her first face tattoo.

Cardi has yet to share any photos or videos of it online, but on August 14, tattoo artist Robinson De Los Santos posted a video of himself applying some red ink to Cardi’s jawline on the left side of her face, writing (translated via Instagram), “Work today cardi B.” Cardi fan pages have also shared a photo of De Los Santos and Cardi together, with the red tattoo somewhat visible on Cardi’s face, close to her ear.

It’s hard to make out what the tattoo is, but it appears to be text. It may be her son’s name, Wave. The photo seems to be a selfie, and selfies taken by most phones present a horizontally flipped view of reality, mirroring what you see on the screen; This one seems to have been flipped in such a way, as the video shows the tattoo being applied on the left side of her face, while in the photo, the ink appears on the right side of the face. So, flipping the photo, that first character does look like it could be a W, while the rest of Cardi’s jawline is covered by a strand of hair, obscuring any potential additional ink.

Furthermore, in January, Cardi tweeted, “Random but ….I’m 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face….I really really wanna do it!”

A Moment-Seeking Thundercat Fan Rushed The Stage And Tried To Sing

Surely many people dream of being able to sing on stage with their favorite artists and hopefully, it goes a bit better than it did for a particular fan. On Tuesday (August 16), a local singer rushed the stage in an attempt to sing with Thundercat during his show at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, Connecticut.

A video of the moment, posted to Twitter, opens with the young lady hugging Thundercat before grabbing the microphone. She enthusiastically says, “I’m here,” reveals she is a singer, and asks if she can sing before a stage manager escorts her out as the audience boos the stage crasher. It isn’t exactly the easiest job to do so a large security guard has to offer his services as well. No one was harmed nor did it appear the young woman had malicious intent, so the show’s attendees and Thundercat all got a laugh out of this.

Thundercat has had a relatively quiet year release-wise, offering “Fly Like An Eagle” from the Minions: The Rise Of Gru soundtrack and appearing on Gorilaz’s “Cracker Island.” His 2020 album It Is What It Is featured Childish Gambino, Steve Lacy, Steve Arrington, Zack Fox, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil B, and more. It makes sense someone would want to be in his aura.

Check out the video of the singer rushing the stage while Thundercat performs above.

Owen Wilson Is The Latest Victim Of An Uptight, Anti-Spoiler Marvel

Loki is returning for a second season in 2023, and we’ll likely hear no details about it from Owen Wilson. First it was Tom Holland blabbing about all of Marvel‘s plans, then it was Mark Ruffalo giving away all sorts of fun things about Thor: Ragnarok, then it was Florence Pugh being told she couldn’t post about being in Hawkeye even to say she was in Hawkeye.

Then, late last year, Wilson claimed that after revealing that his Loki character Mobius M. Mobius would have a mustache he “got a ominous text saying, ‘Strike One.’” It looks like he’s taken the threats to heart, because he’s tightlipped about everything when it comes to Loki season 2.

According to ComicBook.com, the actor can basically say that, yes, they are making season 2 right now and…that’s pretty much it.

“Well, I do think that… you know, we’ll see what happens with this one,” Wilson said. “I immediately get kind of self-conscious because they’re so kind of uptight.” When his Secret Headquarters director Ariel Schulman asked if he was being quiet because he’d been reprimanded by Marvel, Wilson said, “Yeah, multiple times.”

Is that a time travel joke? Hopefully yes. Sadly, we won’t get any information about Loki until the Board of Shadowy Figures deems it so. Thus, we’ll have to wait until Loki returns to know whether Mobius gets to ride a jetski or gets a great catchphrase like “It’s Mobin’ Time!”

The Aces Fought Off A Scrappy Mercury Team To Take Game 1 In Las Vegas

The Aces came into Wednesday night’s Game 1 against the 8-seeded Mercury as heavy favorites, but like the Sky in the opening game of the night, Vegas found itself in a dogfight for much of the game against a shorthanded Phoenix team.

The Mercury, despite being down their leading scorers in Diana Taurasi and Skylar Diggins-Smith — not to mention the season-long absence of Brittney Griner and the in-season departure of Tina Charles — came out swinging, with Diamond DeShields and Sophie Cunningham getting things started with an early flurry from deep.

After seeing Phoenix take a quick lead, the Aces would slowly settle in, eventually taking control of the game in the second quarter as they pushed their lead to double digits and, seemingly, established the expected order thanks to some filthy buckets from Jackie Young.

However, the Mercury had answers time and again, with Shey Peddy providing a pair of clutch threes in the late second quarter to keep them attached at the half, trailing by only five.

Every time the Aces pushed the lead out, like with this Kelsey Plum three early in the third, the Mercury had a rebuttal for the better part of the night.

DeShields led the way for Phoenix with 18 points, attacking downhill as Phoenix somewhat surprisingly was the team able to establish itself in the paint early and often.

However, after a ragged third quarter that saw neither team break double digits — which included Peddy going down with what appeared to be a serious injury — Las Vegas found its extra gear thanks to Chelsea Gray. A flagrant foul by Megan Gustafson fired Gray up, as she would go on a quick 7-0 run by herself, hitting a pair of free throws, then a three, followed by a pullup two as she took over late.

Gray would finish with 17 points, four rebounds, and four assists, joining leading scorer Kelsey Plum (22 points) and Jackie Young (16 points) in double figures on the night.

MVP frontrunner A’ja Wilson struggled mightily with her offense in the opener, going just 2-of-11 from the field for eight points (she did add 12 rebounds and three blocks), but the Aces managing to run away with a 16-point win in spite of that is a testament to their depth and how they can adjust to the flow of the game. The Mercury fought valiantly, but it’s hard to see how they can keep up for 40 minutes with the Aces as they’re now one game away from the offseason and some deserved rest.

Mercury Guard Shey Peddy Was Carried Off The Floor After A Non-Contact Leg Injury

The Phoenix Mercury have had a season filled with injuries, drama, and turmoil, but despite all of that they found themselves in the playoffs as the 8-seed, heading to Las Vegas on Wednesday night for Game 1 of their first round series against the Aces.

As has been the case with the Mercury all season, they came out fighting despite their numerous absences — most notably with a recent injury to Diana Taurasi and Skylar Diggins-Smith leaving the team for personal reasons, leaving them without their top two scorers on the season. Phoenix was able to jump out to an early lead, and while the Aces would eventually jump in front, the Mercury hung around throughout the game.

Phoenix would stay within a possession or two of the Aces for most of the second half, but in the third quarter they saw another key player go down, as Shey Peddy, who had eight points and five assists at the time, collapsed to the floor and had to be carried to the locker room after suffering a non-contact injury.

The official word from the Mercury was that Peddy would not return due to a “lower leg injury,” but the fear of most was that it was an achilles issue — with Aces guard Kelsey Plum noting to reporters courtside that she thought it looked like her own achilles injury.

We won’t know for sure until testing can be done, likely tomorrow, but if that is the case, it’ll be a long road back for Peddy but one that others, like Plum and Breanna Stewart, have shown can be traversed and that you can return better than ever.

Trump Has Been Raking In Up To $1 Million A Day Off His Supporters By Complaining About The FBI’s Mar-A-Lago Search

Donald Trump’s businesses may be in danger thanks to his legal woes, but even if things go from bad to worse, there’s always one money source he can turn to: his supporters. Since the FBI search of his resort home last week, the former president has been firing off one donation email after another. And it’s been working gangbusters.

As per The Washington Post, contributions to Trump’s PAC topped $1 million a day for two days in a row last week. That’s a big increase from the usual. Normally, Trump is able to raise between $300,000 and $400,000 a day. Now they’ve leveled off, but continue to be higher than usual.

It’s good news for Trump, especially since he seems all but assured to run for election yet again, which some argue he could still do even if he’s found guilty, or even from the slammer. It also indicates that he’s still got it — “it” being his knack for getting people to love him by painting himself as a victim of mean people to get him.

Surely, few of his supporters mind that he has a history of taking donations meant for one thing and then pocketing it for himself. Meanwhile, Trump must know that even if he funnels all that cold hard cash into other avenues, he’ll probably still have trouble finding a decent lawyers, ones who don’t mind putting up with his antics — or lack of payments — as he potentially faces federal prosecution over reportedly stealing classified documents pertaining to nuclear secrets.

Dramatic video shows a dog coming out of nowhere to rescue a puppy from drowning

A dramatic video from Lopburi, Thailand, shows a dog running to the rescue of a puppy that’s having trouble keeping its head above water in a fish pond. According to NowThis News, a surveillance camera captured a white dog named Soh being rescued by a larger dog named Hand.

Soh definitely appears to be struggling and calling out when, out of nowhere, Hand rushes to the rescue and pulls the dog out of the fish pond. Hand clearly could hear that Soh was in danger because it ran to its aid with purpose.

Humans often say they “don’t deserve dogs” but after watching this video it’s pretty clear that sometimes, dogs may feel the same way. The video shows that dogs can have an innate sympathy for one another. Hand could have dismissed Soh’s cries and thought, “More food for me,” but instead, the larger dog stepped up and saved the pup.

It’s unclear if all the footage was shot by a security camera because there are two different angles. Recently, there’s been a trend in staged “drowning” videos where people pretend to be in danger to show off their dog’s rescue instincts. This doesn’t appear to be one, but there’s no doubt it shows off Hand’s innate altruism.

A study from Messerli Research Institute at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna found that dogs can behave altruistically toward one another by sharing food, but are more likely to do so if they are familiar with them.

“Dogs truly behave prosocially toward other dogs,” the study, published in Science Daily, said. “That had never been experimentally demonstrated before. What we also found was that the degree of familiarity among the dogs further influenced this behavior. Prosocial behavior was exhibited less frequently toward unfamiliar dogs than toward familiar ones.”

However, a recent study found that dogs show very little altruism toward humans in regard to food-sharing, whether they know them or not. So, if you’re waiting for your dog to give you a treat, don’t hold your breath.

Janet Jackson’s ‘Rhythm Nation’ Has Been Revealed To Crash Certain Laptops

Technology can often betray people. but how often can that be said about classic songs? Evidently, Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation” is as destructive toward Windows XP-era laptops as it is amazing to many people’s ears, according to Microsoft staff.

The company’s principal software engineer Raymond Chen shared a story on his blog The Old New Thing about how Jackson’s record possesses soundwaves that would make laptop’s hard drives vibrate before computers ultimately crashed. Chen didn’t go into details about which specific versions of laptops, nor did he show footage of the phenomenon, but the company deemed his story still worth telling, sharing it to their DevDocs Twitter.

Destroying computers was probably not on Janet Jackson’s career bucket list, but it’s definitely a nice footnote to her career. Jackson has won five Grammys, 11 Billboard Music Awards, 11 American Music Awards, eight Guinness World Record entries, and earned a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. She’s been on a long hiatus since 2015 LP Unbreakable, though she did link up with Daddy Yankee in 2018 for “Made for Now.”

Now, the Jackson family member has another unusual addition to add to her résumé.

Check out Windows’ explanation video for the laptop crashes above.

The Dodgers Broadcast Couldn’t Stop Laughing After Their Reporter Broke His Arm On The Brewers Giant Slide

The Milwaukee Brewers ballpark features one very large and unique feature that no other team has, which is a giant slide that their mascot, Bernie the Brewer, goes down after home runs.

It looks incredibly fun, and so you can’t blame Dodgers field reporter David Vassegh being very excited when he learned he would be allowed to go down the slide prior to a Dodgers-Brewers game. Vassegh apparently talked about this for days leading up to it, which made what happened unbelievably funny to the Dodgers broadcast team, which could not contain their laughter as they showed the video of Vassegh absolutely flying down the slide and slamming into the padded wall at the bottom — breaking his arm in the process.

The video itself is very funny, as Vassegh’s excitement becomes panic almost immediately as he just yells “HOLY CRAP” over and over as he picks up speed. His concern for how fast he’s going was justified as he tumbles out of the slide and pins his right arm between himself and the wall, breaking it in the process.

This wouldn’t be funny if it weren’t for how delighted Vassegh seemed about it, as they cut the camera to him waving his arm in a cast and smiling, which only further leads the booth into hysterics. Hopefully it’s a quick recovery for our guy here, but if nothing else, he created one of the most memorable moments in baseball broadcasts this season.

The Liberty Stunned The Sky To Steal Game 1 In Chicago

The Chicago Sky played host to the New York Liberty on Wednesday night in the first game of the WNBA Playoffs, as the 2-seed in the league looked to get their title defense off to a strong start.

However, the Liberty had other ideas in a thrilling Game 1 that saw big runs on both sides, a number of lead changes, and a ton of offense as both teams piled up the points in what became a 98-91 New York win. It was clear from the outset that the Liberty had come to play, as Sabrina Ionescu, Natasha Howard, and company were able to take an early (small) lead, going right at the Chicago defense and taking the aggression to the Sky.

The champs would respond, with Kahleah Copper, Candace Parker, and company battling to take a four-point lead into the second quarter, but New York would not fade away, as they were able to go on a second quarter run to seize a three-point lead at the half after Marine Johannes started to get hot.

New York would extend their lead early in the second, but Copper’s relentless attacking helped the Sky flip the script and pull ahead by one going into the fourth.

A four-point play early in the fourth from Allie Quigley pushed the Sky ahead for what looked like it might be good, as they would hold a two-possession advantage for much of the quarter.

However, midway through the fourth Ionescu started to get hot, hitting from all over with a spinning, driving lay-in, a quick-trigger three, and then a midrange pull-up that put the Liberty in front by three and forced a Chicago timeout as their offense stalled.

Unfortunately for the Sky, they just could not find an answer offensively down the stretch as the Liberty closed the game out on a 13-0 run to win by seven, with Johannes delivering the highlight of the game with a wild over the head assist to Howard to put the icing on the cake.

The win means the Liberty now have homecourt advantage in the Best of 3 first round format, with Chicago needing to win back-to-back games in order to advance to the second round. Ionescu and Howard each finished with 22 points to lead the Liberty, along with 17 from Betnijah Laney and 13 from Stefanie Dolson. On Chicago’s side there were plenty of strong performances, as Copper led the way with 21 points and eight rebounds, Parker had 18 points and 10 boards, Quigley scored 18, and Azura Stevens had 16 off the bench, but the offense went cold at the wrong time and the usually stout defense of the Sky was not able to contain the Liberty on offense down the stretch.

The biggest difference from the two sides was from beyond the arc, where New York went 11-for-25 (44 percent) compared to a 7-for-25 (28 percent) night for Chicago. They’ll be back in action on Saturday afternoon (12:00 p.m. ET, ESPN), with New York finding itself as the team with a chance to close things out and knock out the defending champs on the road.
