A Photo Of Eminem, Snoop Dogg, And Dr. Dre In The Studio Together Has Fans Excited

Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre are three of the most legendary rappers ever, and now it looks like they might be up to something together: Yesterday (August 15), Eminem shared a photo of him with Dre and Snoop in the studio and wrote, “just a few bros.. hangin out.”

Fans were excited to see this: In the 19 hours since the photo was posted, it has racked up over 1.5 million likes, which is well above Eminem’s recent average (his last post to top a million likes is from July, 21 posts ago). Fans also took to Twitter to offer reactions.

The three rappers have a storied history of working together, so a new collaboration certainly wouldn’t be their first. The trio appears on Dre’s 1999 album 2001, with Eminem featuring on “What’s The Difference” and “Forgot About Dre,” while Snoop was on “B*tch N****z,” “F*ck You,” “Still D.R.E.,” and “The Next Episode.” Of course, all three also performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show earlier this year, alongside Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent.

Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg is fresh off a collaboration that has proven to be a part of history: His, Benny Blanco, and BTS’ “Bad Decisions” just debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making Snoop one of just three artists to have a top-10 hit in each of the past four decades (’90s, ’00s, ’10s, and ’20s).

Olivia Rodrigo Will Induct Alanis Morissette Into The Canadian Songwriters Hall Of Fame

Olivia Rodrigo is set to induct one of the biggest influences to her craft into the Canadian Songwriters Hall Of Fame next month: The “Good 4 U” singer will present Alanis Morissette with the coveted honor on Saturday, September 24, Billboard reports.

Rodrigo has cited Morissette as one of her influences on several occasions. The two have even performed together during an LA stop on Rodrigo’s Sour tour.

The event will take place at Massey Hall in Toronto and will be broadcast by SiriusXM. Singer/songwriter Marie-Mai will host the ceremony, in which singers and songwriters Bryan Adams, Jim Vallance, David Foster and beloved singer/songwriter Daniel Lavoie will also be inducted into the Hall Of Fame.

Upon the announcement of Morissette’s induction, Rodrigo fondly recalled growing up on Morissette’s music.

“I remember hearing Alanis for the first time when I was about 13. I was in the car with my parents when Jagged Little Pill came on,” said Rodrigo in a statement. “I heard ‘Perfect,’ I was like, ‘Oh, my God… You can write songs like that?’ I just looked at music and songwriting in a completely different way.”

Last year, Morissette and Rodrigo spoke with each other for Rolling Stone‘s Musicians On Musicians series. During their conversation, Morissette expressed that she admires Rodrigo just as much.

“I love how you’re so honest and talk about stuff that normally isn’t talked about in songwriting,” Rodrigo said.

“Well, you’re doing the same,” said Morissette. “I’m excited. I went down many rabbit holes knowing I was going to meet you.”

The First ‘She-Hulk’ Reactions Praise The ‘Breezy Unabashedly Weird’ Tone And The End Credit Scenes For Each Episode

The first reactions to She-Hulk: Attorney at Law are in, and critics are loving the most comedic MCU entry yet. The show stars Tatiana Maslany as the titular character who’s been infected by the blood of Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and now has to manage her new powers with her increasingly high stakes legal career. The series is to debut on Thursday, not Wednesday, which marks a new content shift for Disney+. Here’s what the critics are saying:

“I’ve now seen the first four #SheHulk episodes three times, and they’re everything I want them to be, and so much more,” Jenna Anderson tweeted. “The show is breezy, unabashedly weird, and wildly entertaining. This sets a new gold standard for what MCU shows are capable of.”

“Marvel’s #SheHulk is a VERY funny legal procedural that’s lighter on action, but heavy on breaking the fourth wall,” Erik Davis wrote. “This is the most self-referential the MCU has ever been. Cameos & references galore + a dynamite Tatiana Maslany performance. Also, Tim Roth rules!”

“She-Hulk is very fun, genuinely humorous and human. Really finds itself in 3rd ep. No major surprises or huge stakes but Maslany is immensely likable. The memes and thirst posts this show will inspire though…lmao,” Richard Newby tweeted. “Credits tag in every episode. Effects look good.”

“After 4 episodes #SheHulk is the best Marvel Disney Plus show so far,” Matt Ramos wrote. “I LOVE IT!”

You can see more reactions to She-Hulk below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

She-Hulk, a new comedy series coming to Disney+, stars Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases. She-Hulk will welcome a host of Marvel characters to the series, including the Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo, and the Abomination, played by Tim Roth.

She-Hulk premieres August 18 on Disney+.

Florence Pugh Responds To The Hoopla Over Her Sex Scenes With Harry Styles In ‘Don’t Worry Darling’

Don’t Worry Darling doesn’t premiere until next month, but it’s already inspired lots of tabloid fodder. It’s the movie that brought together director Olivia Wilde and star Harry Styles; it’s also inspired (real!) headlines like, “Don’t Worry Darling: Harry Styles performing oral sex” and “Don’t Worry Darling TRAILER: Harry Styles shocks fans as he simulates VERY raunchy sex act with on-screen wife Florence Pugh.”

But Pugh wants people to know that Don’t Worry Darling is way more than Us Weekly paparazzi photos and the “most famous man in the world” going down on her character.

“When it’s reduced to your sex scenes, or to watch the most famous man in the world go down on someone, it’s not why we do it. It’s not why I’m in this industry,” the Oscar-nominated actress (Little Women) told Harper’s Bazaar. “Obviously, the nature of hiring the most famous pop star in the world, you’re going to have conversations like that. That’s just not what I’m going to be discussing because [this movie is] bigger and better than that.” Pugh added, “The people who made it are bigger and better than that.”

It’s a good thing that Liam Payne wasn’t cast in the Harry Styles’ role. “The nature of hiring the third, or maybe even fourth most famous member in the world’s most famous British boy band” doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Don’t Worry Darling comes out on September 23.

Adele Says Bruno Mars Challenged Her Like No Other Collaborator Has But It Was ‘The Best Ever Time’

Adele isn’t really known for collaborating, as she doesn’t have featured artists on her songs. She does work with other songwriters, though, one of the biggest being Bruno Mars, with whom she wrote 25 highlight “All I Ask.” In a new interview, Adele reminisced about working with Mars, saying that he pushed her like other collaborators don’t usually do and that she had a terrific time with him.

In a new video from Elle, Adele discuses some of her songs and says of “All I Ask,” “It’s one of my favorite songs. I wrote this song with Bruno Mars and it was the best ever time of my life in the studio with him. He didn’t like the lyric, ‘Why we do what lovers do,’ but he also didn’t like the lyric in the song, ‘I’m so hot, I make a dragon want to retire.’ Didn’t like that lyric much anyway of his own song.” She added, “Bruno made me do about 50 million takes of that song. Normally, everyone’s like, ‘That was great, that’s fine, that’s all you’ve got to do,’ but he made me do so many.”

Mars previously shared his perspective on working with Adele, saying in a 2016 interview, “She’s a superstar. She walks into the studio, she’s got all this attitude, she’s a diva, she’s like, ‘I don’t want to do this. I don’t like that.’ And then as soon as we hit a couple chords that she liked, we started rolling and that’s where we got that song from. […] She’s incredible. There was a moment when she was singing in the booth — and I’m not exaggerating at all — and the water was vibrating. Like, you know that scene in Jurassic Park? The water starts jiggling. She’s got some pipes on her and she’s just a superstar.”

Watch the video above and revisit “All I Ask” below.

The ‘Better Call Saul’ Co-Creator Has Explained Why The ‘Saul’ Finale Has A ‘Different Feel’ Than The ‘Breaking Bad’ Finale

[This post contains spoilers for the Better Call Saul finale]

It’s hard, maybe even impossible, to not compare the final episodes of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Outside of both being set in the same Albuquerque universe, the ads-heavy “Saul Gone” (a great name for a finale) featured many familiar faces from Breaking Bad beyond Saul Goodman and Mike Ehrmantraut, like Walter White, Marie Schrader, and Blanca Gomez. The death of Hank Schrader also played a major role in the episode, but co-creator Peter Gould told Rolling Stone that he wanted the Better Call Saul finale to have a “different feel” than the conclusion of Breaking Bad.

“When I thought of [Breaking Bad finale] ‘Felina,’ mostly what I thought of was, it’s such a big, rip-roaring episode that [creator Vince Gilligan] wrote and directed. It was so right for Breaking Bad. I knew that the ending of this show was going to have a different feel,” he explained. “Felina” has neo-Nazis, a machine gun shootout, and poisoned coffee — “Saul Gone” is a quieter, more reflective (and more depressing) affair.

Gould continued:

“It did feel right to have these two guys, Saul and Walt, in one last scene, which kind of touches on their reluctance to really be honest with themselves about what they’ve done and who they are, and what their true regrets are. Neither one of them can really quite bring himself to speak the truth.”

If I had a time machine, I would use it to go back to last night and re-watch the Saul finale for the first time all over again. Also, Saul’s Warren Buffett idea. That, too.

We’ll have much more on the final episode of Better Call Saul, including Brian Grubb’s Lie Detector Test recap, throughout the day.

‘Better Call Saul’ Fans Can’t Agree On How A Trademark Move Went Down In The Season Finale

The Better Call Saul finale appears to be a hit with audiences, and even though I didn’t get one of my wishes (for Kim Wexler to appear and everything turns to color), I still received one of those things. Kim and Jimmy/Saul/Gene appeared onscreen together once more, except that Kim is now Florida Kim, who writes water-sprinkler copy for a living, but wait: her law license is still good in New Mexico, so… ‘Saul Good. (Gotta squeeze that in for one of the last times.)

There’s a lot to discuss about the finale (expect a recap to come from Brian Grubb), including a repeat Heisenberg appearance and talk of time machines. And although people were frustrated by one element of the live broadcast, we still got to see the central pair back together again and speaking their unspoken language, long after divorce. Jimmy’s in prison now, and that might be the case for seven years, which is not that awful considering everything that he’s done. It’s also a pretty sunshiney outcome for someone who observed a “my lawyer will ream your a**” scrawling on the wall of his jail cell.

To the point, though, the final scene saw Kim leaving Jimmy behind in prison while he’s outside in the yard. She turns to him, and he does his iconic finger-gun thing as a goodbye, whereas the Season 5 finale saw Kim doing her own finger guns (a telling sign that she was “breaking bad,” and boy, was she ever), after which these two chaotic lovebirds continued to fetishize their Howard Hamlin plans. At the end of the show, however, Kim has chosen to leave Jimmy’s fraud-filled lifestyle in the dust, and although it’s clear that she still misses him, she’s not going to openly endorse the finger guns.

Or does she? Fans enjoyed how Jimmy/Saul/Gene left the building by shooting those finger guns. It made some people emotional.

And on face value, it looked like Kim didn’t reciprocate the gesture.

Yet on second thought, well, maybe she did finger guns, too. People who can’t help themselves went detective to see how Kim’s right hand appeared to be (very subtly) doing the low-key finger gun thing.

In the end, the finger guns were the way to go out. As one viewer pointed out, the move speaks volumes, no matter what happens to Jimmy McGill and Kim Wexler, apart or together, in the future.

Grimes Is Considering Getting Permanent Elf Ears, Vampire Teeth, And Other Body Modifications

A few years from now, Grimes may look significantly different than she does now.

Yesterday on Twitter, Grimes asked her followers, “2 years ago I made an appt with a great plastic surgeon, thought I might want to change things up by my mid 30s, but then I forgot and never thought about what I should do. Any face mods y’all think would look good on me? (Elf ears isn’t an option, that’s a separate quest).” She added in another tweet, “Also does anyone know anyone great/ safe/ reliable ppl who could do vampire teeth caps on me in Austin or la? Also, any reputable elf ear modifiers in either of these cities? (Still debating this surgery cuz cartilage doesn’t heal so it requires permanent stitches).”

Grimes also tweeted, “Also, has anyone done elf ear mods with a good outcome? Im scared about ear cartilage having a hard time healing. Especially as a musician this surgery seems risky but I’ve wanted it my whole life. Curious about peoples experiences !”

One person offered a recommendation on the elf ears front and Grimes responded, “Ok this is the best person I have found too, maybe I’ll inquire. It might be too crazy just cuz of my profession …. Ugh but legit they looks so amazing.”

Entrepreneur Vinny Lingham told Grimes, “as your skin ages and stretches, you’ll have to mod the mods, and that can be a downward spiral. Do non-permanent stuff as some people suggested.” Grimes replied, “!!!! Oh no rly? Is there any lit on this? I can always cancel this app, but I need to cancel it soon if I do. I just really love all the permanent mods I have, especially the extreme ones like my giant tattoos. I felt immediately more at home in my body feeling less boring.”

Elsewhere, Grimes noted she doesn’t plan on changing her nose, that she’s “thinking srsly” about getting a face tattoo, and that she’s currently planning a full-body tattoo, adding, “These next few years will be spent doing al my dream body mods.”

Michelle Branch Files For Divorce From Patrick Carney Following Cheating Allegations And Her Arrest

Over the past few days, the end of Michelle Branch and Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney’s marriage has been unfolding in the public eye. On August 11, Branch accused Carney of cheating on her and was arrested shortly after on a charge of domestic assault by offensive/provocative conduct on Carney. Branch declared she and Carney were separating and now that is being made legally official, as Branch has filed for divorce, according to reports from The Los Angeles Times, Us Weekly, People, TMZ, and other publications.

The Times notes Branch filed for divorce in Davidson County, Tennessee on Monday, August 15, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Per People, court documents say Branch and Carney “are no longer capable of resuming their marital relationship and living together as husband and wife.” The date of separation is listed as August 11, when Branch publicly accused Carney of infidelity.

Branch is asking for child support and primary custody of her and Carney’s two children: 6-month-old daughter Willie Jacquet and 4-year-old son Rhys James. Us notes that in court documents, Branch claims she “has always been the primary caretaker” of the children, so Carney “should be required to pay child support.”

Furthermore, she’ll allow Carney to have “reasonable parenting time privileges” with the kids and is asking him to pay her legal fees. According to TMZ, Carney and Branch will be required to complete a parenting court, which is apparently ordered in all cases from that specific court.

Meanwhile, Branch’s upcoming fourth album, The Trouble With Fever, was co-produced with Carney and is currently set for release on September 16.

Kat Coiro On The Very Clever ’She-Hulk: Attorney At Law‘ And Her Hint For West Coast Avengers

Kat Coiro, who is just coming off the success of Marry Me (a movie, anecdotally from the amount of people who talk about it in my presence, everyone has seen), is now moving into the MCU, directing six episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. And it’s interesting because She-Hulk might be closer in tone and situations to Marry Me than the traditional Marvel property. As Coiro says ahead, the two big inspirations for She Hulk: Attorney at Law were Ally McBeal and Legally Blond.

This is a Marvel show, so of course there are some overarching plot points that maintain themselves throughout the series – or, at least, the first four episodes that I’ve seen – like our old pal from The Incredible Hulk, Emil Blonsky, aka Abomination, (Tim Roth) who wants out of prison and has hired Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) to represent him. Jennifer is a talented and hard-working attorney who also just happens to be able to turn into She-Hulk. But, at this show’s heard, its kind of a throwback courtroom procedural with a “case of the week.” Only the case of the week on this show has clients who are superheroes. It’s a very clever concept that often has Jennifer breaking the fourth wall, for example complaining about the amount of cameos in a given episode before we even get a chance to think that.

Also, it’s a very L.A. show (as someone who lives in New York City, even I could use a break from the MCU version of this place) and, as Coiro says ahead, this could be a good starting point for the West Coast Avengers.

The amount of Marvel movies and shows can feel overwhelming, but what a breath of fresh air this was. This isn’t even really a superhero show, it’s more a legal procedural comedy.

Absolutely. I mean, part of what drew me to the project is that it’s such a fresh take on something that is so much a part of our cultural fabric. And my job was always to keep it within the world of the MCU, but also allow it to spread its wings as something totally different in a new genre.

So how much does She Hulk: Attorney at Law owe to Ally McBeal?

Both Ally McBeal and Legally Blonde were huge influences just in a simple fact that they subverted the idea of a courtroom visually, the way it looks, the way people behave. And that’s definitely something that we do is we take a genre that has been around for a very long time and we infuse it with something different, while still relying on some of the tropes and the familiarity of that genre. And it’s one of the things I’m most excited about, is having people experience these courtroom scenes that are just very familiar and also totally different.

I won’t spoil who does this and when it happens, but there’s a character that seems to be She Hulk’s main foe and you think it’s going to be a scene where, all right, the big fight is coming. And instead she sues She-Hulk and I found that so funny.

Well, part of what’s exciting about that storyline in general, is that when you’re in a film, you have this ticking clock, plot-driven energy and you have to get from point A to point B. And here we can meander. She’s there, she lurks around the whole series, but we don’t have to get to her climax or get to her motivation immediately. We can kind of do it after we’ve gotten to know our main characters.

It does seem to flow like a David E. Kelley show. There’s the kind of the trial of the week, like Wong showing up one week to sue a hack magician for using Sorcerer techniques. But there’s also this overarching thing going on with Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky wanting out of prison…

I mean, that was something we kept saying, was we have to have that engine of the kind of formulaic legal show, courtroom episode per episode plot. And then you have the driving engine of getting to know Jennifer Walters, slash She-Hulk, and her internal conflict between being these two sides of herself. And then you have a whole other layer of Marvel super villains. So it’s got a lot going on.

And that’s the thing, you could have anyone on this show really. Picking up after one of the movies, after a big battle – well, who’s going to sue who after this?

People comment, oh, was it hard having all these cameos and making it feel organic? And I mean, we are set in the most organic place to have as many cameos as you can possibly imagine. We could literally have every single MCU character who needs legal help – which is, let’s be honest, everybody at one point or another – come through the show.

There’s a conversation in an episode if Avengers get paid or not. Maybe one of the Avengers isn’t getting their health benefits, so they need to sue. See, it feels like the sky’s wide open on this.

We’ve got to introduce you to the writers’ room.

Yeah, that’s a bad idea.

I feel like you’re bursting with ideas, Mike.

But seriously, as you watch the show, it’s the perfect engine to do all this stuff.

Oh, I’m so glad. It’s so fun. These are my first round of interviews where people have actually gotten to watch the show and I’m not sitting here afraid that the Marvel police are going to burst in and arrest me. So it’s so fun to talk about.

Right. You had to be vague…

I just say, “ask Kevin.” That’s my go-to line.

You’ve also got that ace in the sleeve of being able to break the fourth wall. You get to address any criticisms before we even think of them.

I mean, one of my favorite jokes is that Wong’s in the episode, so we have “Twitter armor.”

I’ve told a lot of people about that line.

We anticipate that there’s going to be an adjustment because she is such a different character than the audience people are used to. And what I love about the MCU is that it is interactive. It does listen to the fans. It does evolve based on what people want. And so this show is very much taking that to the next level. Where it’s like: we know what you’re going to say… come, be on the journey with us instead of against us.

You also apparently are listening to the trolls. Because when Jessica’s powers are revealed, there’s a news report with a bunch of people on the street interviews saying,“ why did it have to be a woman superhero?” And everyone’s favorite, “I’m not against a woman being a superhero, but why can’t they just make a new one?”

I’m not even on Twitter and I’m aware of all of that. And look, my hope is that this show is going to be fun and entertaining and action-packed enough that they just have fun and relax, take a load off all that trolling. Exhausting!

I’m looking forward to She-Hulk and Deadpool meeting each other and realizing they both break the fourth wall. I get he’s not technically in the MCU yet…

I know. I know. Which fourth wall are they breaking? It’s the same fourth wall?

Well, that’s going to be up to all the writers who are going to make the She-Hulk, Deadpool movie.

Amazing. I love it. I love it. Actually, our producer, Wendy Jacobson from Marvel, is also doing Deadpool.

So she’s the expert on breaking the fourth wall.

Exactly.

By the way, congratulations on Marry Me. I’m pretty sure everyone saw that movie.

Oh, thank you. I’m so excited. It does feel like every single person in the world has seen it. It’s a very exciting feeling.

Yeah, they used to make movies that were in theaters that were romantic comedies, with big stars. So it was fun to watch one again.

Oh, I’m so glad. That makes me happy. I mean, look, I love making movies for audiences. Between Marry Me and Marvel, it’s like a real dream come true to have people actually… from my indie film days where my mom and three people would see it, it’s a fabulous feeling.

There’s not a lot of Marvel stuff set in LA. There’s Iron Man 3. So it’s kind of refreshing to see a very LA show and also something that would set up a West Coast Avengers.

Absolutely. That was a huge part of my initial pitch to get the job. I wanted LA to feel like a character. And I definitely dropped the hint about the West Coast Avengers.

And She-Hulk was a big part of West Coast Avengers

I’m with you a hundred percent.

’She-Hulk: Attorney At Law‘ will begin streaming via Disney+ on August 18. You can contact Mike Ryan directly on Twitter.
