GloRilla Is Headlining NCAA’s 2025 Women’s Final Four Super Saturday Concert

It’s March, and you know what that means: Basketball is back, baby! March Madness has yet to get fully underway, but announcements for the finale weekend are already coming out. Today, the NCAA and Women’s Final Four sponsor AT&T announced the headliner for the annual Super Saturday concert preceding the final three games of the season. After booking Latto for last year’s show, they’ve once again tapped a rising female rapper, this time going with one of Latto’s favorite collaborators, GloRilla.

Glo had arguably the second-biggest breakout story of 2024 (right behind Doechii), with her songs “TGIF” and “Yeah Glo!” becoming fan favorites ahead of the release of her debut album, Glorious. The love has culminated in a 20-city tour which kicks off tonight in Oklahoma City and concludes with a hometown show in Memphis at a to-be-determined future date. In between, she’ll make her Coachella debut, and now, we know she’ll be in Tampa Bay, Florida on Saturday, April 5, at the Curtis Hixon Park concert kicking off the Final Four festivities.

A&T

Glo’s prior experience with basketball aside, she’s a great pick for an exploding market; as interest in women’s ball has shot up in the past year, it makes perfect sense to book a Grammy-nominated hitmaker to highlight how women are taking over both sports and music. Lady Gaga Gets Teary-Eyed While Reflecting On Her Pre-Fame Life In A New Interview

Once upon a time, before Lady Gaga was Lady Gaga, she was simply Stefani Germanotta. Things are different now: She’s one of the biggest stars in the world (and she’s hosting SNL this weekend). She looks back especially fondly on the old days, though.

A new Gaga interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe was filmed in one of Gaga’s pre-fame haunts, and Lowe asked Gaga if her life since becoming famous has “felt like the blink of an eye or a river.” As Gaga reflected on the question, she was outwardly emotional as she started to sniffle and tear up. She responded, “Both. It definitely feels like both.”

Gaga continued:

“I just had no idea what was going to happen, and I’m really grateful that it did, but what I value when I think about this time is not what it gave to me in my career, but the endless memories. The memories were so powerful here, and that will just be in my heart forever. You know, I am so grateful, and you hear me say it a million times when I talk about this, ’cause I obviously feel like I need to qualify that piece of myself, and it’s true, but I do feel so happy to be in a place now in my life when… the thing that I valued the most in all of this was the community, and I left that behind.”

Adidas Has Sold The Last Of Its Yeezy Stock, Officially Bringing Its Partnership With Kanye West To A Close

It has been well over two years since Adidas ended its partnership with Kanye West over his (first) run of antisemitic comments, and almost two full years since the company announced it would begin selling off its remaining Yeezy stock. Today, according to Rolling Stone, Adidas chief financial officer Harm Ohlmeyer confirmed that the company has officially offloaded its last Yeezy product. “There is not one Yeezy shoe left,” he said after the company’s earnings report earlier today. “It has all been sold and that episode is behind us.”

The report comes four months after Adidas and West reached a settlement in October following a dispute over promotional funds provided by Adidas that West allegedly put into other projects. “There isn’t any more open issues,” said Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden at the time. “No one owes anybody anything anymore. So whatever was is history.” It certainly sounds like the company is glad to be rid of West, especially in light of his comments drawing negative attention to the brand’s spotty history.

In the meantime, it doesn’t appear that West has exactly learned his lesson; as recently as January, he was still calling Adidas out over Google search results prioritizing his work with Adidas over his independent Yeezy-branded site. Then, just a month ago, he was right back at it, redirecting said site to a T-shirt emblazoned with a swastika, the more-or-less official emblem of antisemitism, xenophobia, and white supremacy worldwide. He may have made “Jesus Walks,” but it sounds like Adidas would be perfectly alright with him going to hell.

Haim’s Artwork For Their Upcoming Song ‘Relationships’ References An Iconic Nicole Kidman Meme

The “Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon” game between Haim and Nicole Kidman got just a lot easier.

On Wednesday (March 5), Haim shared the artwork for their upcoming single, “Relationships.” It shows Alana, Danielle, and Este looking jubilant with their eyes closed in a sunny parking lot, a reference to a photo of Nicole Kidman that was supposedly taken after her divorce to Tom Cruise was finalized. The much meme’d pic of Kidman is real; the Cruise backstory, not so much.

“That was from a film, that wasn’t real life,” she told GQ UK. “That’s not true.”

You can see Haim’s “Relationships” artwork here.

Haim haven’t released an album since 2020’s Women In Music Pt. III, but the sisters have remained busy, including opening for Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour. Alana also starred in Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2021 film Licorice Pizza. The director — who, in a further connection to Kidman, worked with Cruise on Magnolia — cast the youngest of the Haim sisters after seeing the group perform at Coachella. “Paul helped us with our Coachella set in 2018,” she told The Daily Texan. “He says he turned to me and said, ‘I’m going to put you in a movie one day.’ I vaguely remember that, but I don’t really remember.”

Alana appears in PTA’s new film, One Battle After Another, which is scheduled to come out this year.

Doechii Breaks Down The Complex ‘Lore’ Behind ‘Anxiety,’ Her Old Song That’s Been Going Viral And Just Got Re-Released

If you’re a Doechii fan, you know all about her old song called “Anxiety.” For those who aren’t in the loop, she just gave the song, which samples Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know,” an official streaming release. It turns out this song has had quite the journey to get here.

Doechii explained everything in a video:

“OK, so I’m gonna break down this lore to people who don’t understand it.

So, I’m dropping a song called ‘Anxiety.’ Now, you may be thinking, ”Anxiety’ already came out.’ So, Sleepy Hallow — amazing artist, by the way — he dropped a song called ‘Anxiety,’ where he was sampling my song called ‘Anxiety,’ but my song is using the sample of ‘Somebody I Used To Know.’ And then I took that beat, ‘Somebody I Used To Know,’ and I made my own song on top of it called ‘Anxiety.’ So then I dropped that song on YouTube.

It never hit streaming, and then Sleepy Hallow sampled that, it got approved, and then that song blew up, and now people are finding the original version that I did on YouTube, and that’s blowing up on TikTok, […] and now people want me to release the full version, and… we’re here! And I’m releasing it, and it’s coming out! So, y’all can enjoy the full version and that’s the lore behind ‘Anxiety.’”

Speaking of new Doechii, she also recently dropped a collab with Blackpink’s Lisa.

When Will ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Season 6 Premiere On Hulu?

handmaids-tale-season-6-lg
Hulu

Despite arguably hitting too close to current events, The Handmaid’s Tale has remained a flagship series for Hulu (with the viewership to match), but it’s almost time to sunset this phase of Gilead and make room for a followup series, The Testaments. Both shows are based upon Margaret Atwood novels, and Elisabeth Moss has been embodying Offred since the character’s 2017 onscreen debut, so she is likely ready to put a final nail in her oppressors, although one of them (Yvonne Strahovski’s Serena Joy) certainly has already experienced a table turning of her own.

A recent teaser trailer promises to illuminate and reappropriate the Handmaids’ trademark clothing color into a symbol of rage, so of course, viewers will want to catch up before the final episodes begin streaming.

When Will The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 Premiere On Hulu?

Mark your TV calendars for April 8, 2025. From the synopsis:

In the final season of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” June’s unyielding spirit and determination pull her back into the fight to take down Gilead. Luke and Moira join the resistance. Serena tries to reform Gilead while Commander Lawrence and Aunt Lydia reckon with what they have wrought, and Nick faces challenging tests of character. This final chapter of June’s journey highlights the importance of hope, courage, solidarity, and resilience in the pursuit of justice and freedom.

The final season’s cast not only includes Moss and Strahovski but also Bradley Whitford, Ann Dowd, Samira Wiley, Madeline Brewer, O.T. Fagbenle, Amanda
Brugel, Sam Jaeger, Max Minghella, Ever Carradine, and Josh Charles.

DK Metcalf Reportedly Requested A Trade From The Seahawks

The NFL offseason has started to heat up. The Scouting Combine has come and gone, as has the franchise tag deadline, which saw just two players get tagged (the fewest the league’s ever seen). We’ve already seen the Washington Commanders trade a fifth rounder for Deebo Samuel, while the Chicago Bears made two aggressive moves to bolster the interior of their offensive line in front of Caleb Williams, as they’ll reportedly send a fourth rounder to Kansas City for Joe Thuney and a sixth rounder to Los Angeles for Jonah Jackson.

Those moves got the ball rolling on transactions, and in a year without a ton of top names on the free agency market, teams looking for major upgrades will likely have to do so via trade. That’s particularly the case at wide receiver, which is always a position teams are looking to improve, but with Tee Higgins getting tagged in Cincinnati, there aren’t any real No. 1 options out there to sign. That doesn’t mean top guys won’t be available (as evidenced by Samuel’s trade), and on Wednesday word broke that DK Metcalf has requested a trade from the Seahawks, per Adam Schefter.

Metcalf is seeking a move to a contender, per Schefter, but the Seahawks will be most focused on getting a solid return for the two-time Pro Bowler. Metcalf has been consistent in his six seasons in Seattle, never finishing below 900 receiving yards in any one season. His best year came in 2020 when he was a second-team All-Pro with 1,303 yards and 10 touchdowns, but he’s never quite returned to that peak. Metcalf’s combination of size and speed is unbelievable, but it’s also never quite fully materialized into the consistent dominance his abilities suggest of his full potential.

Metcalf is entering the last year of his contract, and this trade request would suggest the Seahawks weren’t willing to give him top-end money in their conversations of late. With few big names available, there should be some teams with interest in Metcalf to try and upgrade their receiving corps, but his looming contract situation will have to factor into which teams get involved in talks.

The Intriguing ‘Range Life: A Pavement Story’ Teaser Trailer Stars Joe Keery As Stephen Malkmus

The latest member of the “weird” music biopic family: Pavement.

Range Life: A Pavement Story is described as “a story about the world’s most important and influential band, Pavement.” The film — which appears to be both a documentary about the indie rock greats and a self-aware parody of the genre — was directed by Alex Ross Perry (Her Smell, very long episodes of the Blank Check podcast) and stars Stranger Things actor Joe “Djo” Keery as Stephen Malkmus. The cast also includes Jason Schwartzman, Fred Hechinger, Tim Heidecker, Logan Miller, Griffin Newman, and Nat Wolff.

“[Range Life: A Pavement Story] is four or five films rolled into one,” Ross Perry said about the movie, “because I wish that all musical biopics and standard-issue documentaries were 30 minutes long. I’d watch more of them that way. There has never been a band like Pavement, and I hope there has never been a film like [Range Life: A Pavement Story]. It both is and is not.”

He added, “It presupposes that an iconic band deserves all the cultural victories typically afforded to much more financially successful artists. But what I learned while making [the film] is that Pavement deserve these tributes. It is time to ask questions about how stories about musicians are told and sold and for us as the audience to demand more innovation in our biographical portraits.

Range Life: A Pavement Story comes out later this year.

Lady Gaga Sings (And Exposes Truths) About ‘SNL’ Cast Members Through Song In A New Promo Video

Lady Gaga is about to participate in one of entertainment’s ultimate honors (and seemingly one of its most fun things to get to do): On the March 8 episode of Saturday Night Live, Gaga will be both the host and the musical guest. The big episode is a few days away now, which means it’s time for promos to start rolling out.

A new one dropped today, and in the mini-sketch, cast member Andrew Dismukes innocently asks a show staffer if he can get a breakfast sandwich. Then, Gaga, seated at a piano, sings, “Andrew Dismukes is ordering a breakfast sandwich at 2 p.m.” Somebody explains to Dismukes that Gaga said performing this impromptu songs is “part of her process,” and the bit proceeds from there how you might imagine.

Gaga has a history with SNL: She was a musical guest in 2009, 2011, and 2016, and she also pulled double duty on a 2013 episode. She also made a cameo to introduce Bad Bunny for his performance during a 2023 episode. More recently, she’s also fresh off participating in the SNL anniversary celebrations: On SNL50: The Homecoming Concert, she joined Andy Samberg on for a performance of “D*ck In A Box.”

‘Constantine 2′: Everything To Know About The Long-Gestating Return Of Keanu Reeves’ Hellblazing Occult Detective (March 2025 Update)

Keanu Reeves Constantine
Warner Bros.

When Keanu Reeves comes up in the context of sequels these days, that discussion has been absurdly fixated on whether John Wick 5 will happen. Do people not remember what, you know, happened to Wick? And do they not care about Keanu’s knees? He does. Besides, these discussions ignore the fact that an even more tantalizing sequel project is coming up from Hell. No, we are not talking about another Bill And Ted movie because those dudes already had their Bogus Journey and are over it, unlike a certain other character who was destined to dance in a more hard-boiled way with Lucifer’s kind again. So, which sequel, again?

That would be a followup to 2005’s Constantine, which achieved cult-favorite status and could frankly mop the floor with most other comic book movie or TV adaptations of nearly the past two decades. No offense to James Gunn’s budding DCU, but the Reeves movie (based upon DC Comics’ Hellblazer series) was not only superior but both grim as Hell and ethereally beautiful as Heaven could ever hope to be. The movie also arguably contained the best damn exorcism scene in cinematic history. Seriously, John Constantine punched a demon and gave it the finger, and that only enhanced the vibe.

You ready to talk about what to expect from the impending sequel? Hell yeah.

Plot

Warner Bros.

Constantine‘s very existence as a movie, despite how underappreciated it was upon release, felt like a gothic dream, complete with Tilda Swinton’s exquisite, incisive delivery of archangel Gabriel. But to get down to hard-boiled brass tacks, the first film introduced Reeves’ conman/occult magician, who was suffering from terminal lung cancer and working to avoid his own damnation by vanquishing demons. He paired up with Rachel Weisz’s Angela to prove that her identical twin, Isabel, didn’t commit suicide. And unlike John Wick, John Constantine survived his most recent movie starring Keanu.

Sequel talk finally got serious in 2022 when Warner Bros. formally hit the greenlight with Reeves reprising his antihero’s brand of self-loathing with director Francis Lawrence and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman. The studio, according to Reeves while speaking to Inverse, simply said “okay” to their pitched story, which paved the way for the real magic to start happening.

Plot details are top secret, but Reeves previously alluded to a script draft and admitted to Comic Book that he was too afraid to read it, lest his heart be broken if it wasn’t as good as hoped. He finally read it, but apparently (via the aforementioned Inverse interview), that was only one phase, because they’re heading back in for a final script. Prior to these teases, Akiva Goldsman revealed that the sequel would stay true to the original film’s themes, and “and the wonderful and authentic noir where there is a world behind the world of good and evil coexist with our world right up close.”

Further, Francis Lawrence recently told Collider, “I will say we are closer than ever to being able to do a sequel, which is a great thing. And Akiva, Keanu and I are super, super excited about it.” The project will take advantage of the accumulating comic lore but will also be a story that hails from this trio:

“We have gone through a bunch of the comics over the years and looked at things. I will say that there’s probably grains from things that we’re pulling, but in truth, most of it is just coming from the three of us, you know, loving the character, loving the world, having it sort of in the back of our minds for 20 years and just kind of percolating on ideas, and stories and characters we love, and ideas we love.”

Will this movie have anything to do with James Gunn’s budding DCU for WBD? Not at all, according to Keanu: “We’re not going off that. John Constantine’s going to be tortured even more.”

Cast

Constantine 2 will star Keanu Reeves. Is that all that’s necessary? For now, yes. No word has surfaced on who could return, including Rachel Weisz (primarily as twin Angela but also the dead Isabel), Tilda Swinton (as Gabriel), Djimon Hounsou (as Papa Midnite), Peter Stormare (as Lucifer), and Shia LaBeouf (as Chas Kramer, who didn’t survive) among the initial cast.

However, Swinton doesn’t believe that a return is in the cards: “Unless they’re very late in calling me, I don’t think Gabriel will be flapping his/her wings.”

Release Date

Even with development and script writing finally hitting its stride, this looks like a 2027 release.

Honest question: do they make trailers like this anymore?
