Lil Uzi Vert Announces The ‘Red & White’ EP, A Prelude To His Upcoming ‘The Pink Tape’ Project

The last time we received a project from Lil Uzi Vert was at the end of 2020 when he and Future joined forces for Pluto X Baby Pluto. His last solo release was LUV Vs. The World 2, which doubled as the deluxe edition of his 2020 album Eternal Atake. Over the years, Uzi has teased multiple projects, but only now has he delivered a sold release date on one. On Tuesday night, Uzi took to his Instagram page to announce his upcoming Red & White EP. He even shared the artwork for the project to boost anticipation for it.

In the caption for the project’s announcement, Uzi wrote, “Red & White Ep …. Before The P!NK.” That’s a reference to Uzi’s long-awaited The Pink Tape which he first announced towards the end of 2021. He originally said the project would arrive just in time for Halloween last year, citing that it was in the mixing process at the time. However, a short time later, he revealed that the project would be delayed so “it won’t suck.” Since then, we haven’t heard much about the project, but Uzi did promise recently that he is “going back to classic mode” for his next releases, so hopefully, it starts with Red & White.

Leaked Audio Reveals How Steve Bannon Detailed Trump’s Plan To ‘Declare Victory’ And Ignite A ‘Firestorm’ Over The 2020 Election

As the January 6 hearings continue to drop damaging bombshells about the events leading up to the attack, Steve Bannon just had his spot blown up thanks to a secret recording. In the leaked audio from late October 2020, the White House strategist details how Donald Trump will exploit the lag in counting to mail-in ballots to declare himself the winner and use the chaos to maintain his grip on the White House. Obviously, Trump and Bannon’s plan greatly expanded to disastrous results with the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

Via Mother Jones:

“What Trump’s gonna do, is just declare victory. Right? He’s gonna declare victory. But that doesn’t mean he’s a winner,” Bannon, laughing, told the group, according to audio of the meeting obtained by Mother Jones. “He’s just gonna say he’s a winner.”

“As it sits here today,” Bannon said later in the conversation, describing a scenario in which Trump held an early lead in key swing states, “at 10 or 11 o’clock Trump’s gonna walk in the Oval, tweet out, ‘I’m the winner. Game over. Suck on that.’”

As Bannon further explains in the recorded conversation with supporters of exiled Chinese mogul, Guo Wengui, Trump declaring victory before the ballots are counted will cause advantageous pandemonium.

“So when you wake up Wednesday morning, it’s going to be a firestorm,” Bannon said. “You’re going to have antifa, crazy. The media, crazy. The courts are crazy. And Trump’s gonna be sitting there mocking, tweeting shit out: ‘You lose. I’m the winner. I’m the king.’”

The leaked audio of Bannon couldn’t have hit at a worse time as the House committee is still actively investigating the attempted coup. Granted, Bannon recently dared the Jan. 6 committee to let him testify on prime time, that was before Mother Jones published the leaked audio, in which he can be heard plotting to reject the results of a federal election.

Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne Was ‘Nonstop Housing Meatballs’ During The Now-Infamous Batsh*t Trump White House Jan 6th Planning Meeting

Tuesday’s January 6th hearings revealed yet another boatload of dirt on what went down behind the scenes in the months, weeks, and days leading up to the insurrection on the Capitol. One of the most interesting tidbits was about a meeting-turned-shouting match that took place on December 18, 2001 until the wee hours at the White House, where Donald Trump had assembled all the usual suspects—plus a who’s who of totally random individuals, including Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne—to figure out his next step in how to cling to power in the wake of a lost presidential election.

As The Washington Post reported, this “motley crew of unofficial Trump advisers [who] had talked their way into the Oval Office and an audience with the president” spent hours offering up all sorts of increasingly bizarre ideas on how the election might have been stolen (spoiler: it wasn’t) and some mostly illegal strategies on how Trump might be able to deny the results and remain in power. When one lawyer tried to explain to the president how “nuts” these ideas were, all hell broke loose, and former White House lawyer Eric Herschmann admitted that he and disgraced former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn nearly came to blows. At one point, Rudy Giuliani—classy as ever—called people like Herschmann, who weren’t willing to blow up democracy as we known it, “a bunch of p*ssies.”

Perhaps the most entertaining detail reported about this meeting, which former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson described as “unhinged” in a text message sent that night, is that Byrne, presumably one of the nutters who thought Trump could somehow just ignore America’s vote and carry on as president, made more than a meal out of some Swedish meatballs Trump served up as the hours wore on. As The Washington Post wrote:

At some point, the meeting migrated to the Yellow Oval Room in the White House residence, where Trump served the group Swedish meatballs. (Byrne was “nonstop housing meatballs — he ate so many meatballs,” one person familiar with the gathering told The Post.) There the fighting continued.

If loving tiny meatballs and discounted home goods is wrong, Byrne clearly doesn’t want to be right.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s Lyrics Cannot Be Used As Evidence As His LA Gun Possession Trial Begins

Whether you call him YoungBoy Never Broke Again or NBA YoungBoy (the NBA would rather you didn’t though), there’s no denying that the Baton Rouge rapper has been a lightning rod for controversy and legal trouble. However, he just received a break regarding the latter, according to Rolling Stone. A federal trial against YoungBoy for felony gun possession began today, and even before any arguments were presented, the judge, US District Judge R. Gary Klausner, made a decision that could go a long way toward helping YoungBoy, ruling that his lyrics cannot be used as evidence.

Apparently, prosecutors wanted to use rhymes from songs like “Gunsmoke,” “Life Support,” and “Lonely Child” in which he mentions FNs (Fabrique Nationale Herstal, a leading Belgian firearm manufacturer that has become a favorite of rappers in recent years). Unfortunately for them, it appears Judge Klausner has been following the controversy surrounding the “Rap on Trial” debate, which was inflamed by the state of Georgia’s racketeering case against Young Thug. In that case, the evidence against the rap mogul mostly amounted to the use of his lyrics to show a connection to YSL, the name of his label but also a prolific street gang according to Georgia District Attorneys.

“Even if Mr. Gaulden is familiar with various models of guns and sings about them, it does not mean that he knew this particular gun was secreted on the passenger floor of the Maybach when police attempted to pull his car over to arrest him,” YoungBoy’s defense argued ahead of the trial.

However, YoungBoy could still face years in prison if convicted and he has another case pending in his home state, Louisiana. Some evidence for that case was also thrown out recently; video and photos of YoungBoy allegedly holding the guns which he’s charged with illegally possessing were improperly obtained, according to the court.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Flo Milli Delivers A Raunchy New Single, ‘No Face’

A little over a week before her debut album, You Still Here, Ho? drops, Flo Milli is back with another raunchy heater. The latest from the Alabama native rapper, “No Face,” features Milli delivering her unabashed, raunchy rhymes, over a futuristic electronic beat.

On the song’s chorus, she repeats, “put that p*ssy on his face / put that p*ssy on his face / put that p*ssy on his face / no face, no case,” and later says, “Ridin’ ’round in ‘Bama, got these n****s in rotation / I ain’t gotta rap, you know p*ssy rule the nation.”

Ahead of You Still Here, Ho?, Milli has also released “PBC,” a powerful anthem whose title means, “pretty, Black, cute.”

In an interview with NME this past March, Milli said she is aware of her fiery pen game and the impact of her untouchable bars

“I knew the power of words, and that’s probably the reason why I do what I do,” Milli said, “because, at the end of the day, you can hate on me, but when you get in that car and hear the radio, you ain’t got no motherfucking choice but to hear me on the radio. When you’re in that club, you’re going to hear my voice. I don’t have to say anything at all.”

Denise Richards Called The Criticism (Including From Charlie Sheen) To Her Daughter Being On OnlyFans ‘Very Unfair’

After Sami Sheen joined OnlyFans, her famous father, Charlie Sheen, criticized his daughter for not being classy (which is rich, coming from Charlie Sheen of all people). “I do not condone this but since I’m unable to prevent it, I urged her to keep it classy, creative, and not sacrifice her integrity,” he said. Sheen has since changed his mind, although it’s unclear what he thinks of Sami’s mother and his ex-wife, Denise Richards, also being on the adults-only subscription site.

Richards spoke to Daily Pop about the backlash that her 18-year-old daughter has received for being on OnlyFans. “A lot of us have posted pictures of ourselves on Instagram in a bikini or something that might be perceived as risqué,” the Wild Things and The World Is Not Enough (the James Bond movie where she plays a character named Dr. Christmas Jones, which I will never not mention) actress said. “If my daughter chooses to post a picture of herself in a bathing suit on OnlyFans, why would she get backlash on that but not on Instagram?” Richards called the criticism “very unfair.”

The 51-year-old also admitted that she her misconceptions about the platform changed after she “educated myself on what OnlyFans really was.” She continued, “Once I learned that this platform is actually really empowering for the creators to be their true, authentic self, I decided to join it, too.”

Sami and Denise appear to be on good terms:

Charlie is nowhere to be seen on Sami’s Instagram.

Steve Martin Does Not Sound Pleased About The Emmys Snubbing Selena Gomez For An ‘The Only Murders In The Building’ Acting Nod

No one said that the Emmy nominations would be fair. Yes, Rhea Seehorn received an overdue nod for her Kim Wexler portrayal on Better Call Saul, and nods were fairly spread around for Pam & Tommy‘s leads and background players. Another Hulu show (Only Murders In The Building), though, saw a major player get the shaft.

That’d be Selena Gomez, who’s pitch-perfect as Bloody Mabel and apparently destined to be vastly underappreciated. Yes, she received a nomination as a producer for the show, but dang, she’s great onscreen, so why no acting nod, too? Instead, Martin Short and Steve Martin both nabbed nods for the Best Actor In A Comedy series category, and Selena went without. The SNL alums were quick to defend their leading lady, too, with Martin speaking with the New York Times to declare, “We’re dismayed that Selena was not nominated because she’s so crucial to our performances, really.”

Martin also spoke with Entertainment Tonight to emphasize how the show couldn’t happen without Selena. “Marty and I, and the whole team at Only Murders in the Building, are thrilled with our nominations,” he added. “We’re also loving that our crucial partner Selena Gomez is recognized as a producer in the Best Comedy Series category.”

Hmm, yeah. It’s not a great omission, and it’d be a pain if Selena (like Rhea) had to wait several seasons for a nomination, but Emmys are apparently gonna Emmy. In the meantime, consider watching Selena + Chef on HBO Max! It’s a joy of a show.

Black Thought And Danger Mouse Drop A Kaleidoscopic Video For ‘Aquamarine’

Ahead of their hotly anticipated collaborative album, Cheat Codes, Black Thought and Danger Mouse have dropped a new track, “Aquamarine.” On their new track, Danger Mouse delivers a clashing, drum-driven beat, as Black Thought raps about contemporary world issues while channeling the power within himself.

On a notable line, Black Thought raps, “I’m a king, I’m dipped in God’s Black, a blessing / Survival of the fittest is a natural selection.”

His royal rap stylings are garnished with a soft-tinged chorus by UK singer Michael Kiwanuka, who is one of many promising collaborators on Cheat Codes.

“For ‘Aquamarine,’ when I heard the music I just had a feeling to sing about standing up for something that’s unique and following that path,” said Kiwanuka in a statement. “I don’t know why but that’s what came out. Sometimes when you’re following something that’s unique to you it’s as if ‘enemies are all around.’ At times life can feel fragile like ‘everything’s burning down.’ For some reason the chords and music made me feel that way.”

The song’s accompanying video, directed by George Muncey and Elliott Elder, sees Black Thought spitting his rhymes, as a kaleidoscopic effect captures various angles of his face and his expressions.

Elon Musk Is Firing Back At Trump’s ‘Drop To Your Knees’ Remarks As Their Beef Becomes A Cross-Platform War

Like clockwork, Donald Trump couldn’t resist reacting to Elon Musk‘s remarks that the former president should “sail into the sunset” because he’s too old to run for re-election and causes “too much drama.” In a Truth Social post, Trump dragged Musk for relying on government subsidies and claimed the Tesla CEO needs them so badly that Musk would’ve dropped to his knees and begged if Trump asked.

Considering Musk’s ego (and troll game) is as big as Trump’s, naturally, he couldn’t let the “drop to your knees” remark go by without a response. Although, Musk seems to be taking a more subdued approach in an effort to highlight that Trump isn’t worth the energy because he’s just another old man yelling at the clouds.

Musk tweeted a Grandpa Simpson GIF in response to Bloomberg writer Ashlee Vance asking, “What happens [when] the two most volatile social media accounts collide?”

However, Trump actually made one solid point in his attack on Musk. The former president wrote, “Elon should focus on getting himself out of the Twitter mess because he could owe $44 billion for something that’s perhaps worthless,” which is pretty good advice considering the social media platform sued Musk on Tuesday, according to CNN.

The lawsuit filed in Delaware seeks to force the Tesla CEO to complete the purchase agreement that he’s attempting to exit over a sudden concern with the number of bots on Twitter. It hasn’t been the most compelling argument considering Musk had previously boasted that he would “eradicate” the problem once he purchased the company.

Steve Lacy And Foushee Touch The Sky In Their Graceful Video For ‘Sunshine’

In just a few days, Steve Lacy will release his long-awaited sophomore album, Gemini Rights. The project will be his first full-length release since 2019’s Apollo XXI, and so far he’s delivered two singles to give fans an insight into what to expect with his next body of work. He kicked things off with “Mercury,” a track that’s carried by a bossa nova groove, and next came “Bad Habits,” which strikes as a sweet love song. Now, for his third and presumably final act before the album arrives, Lacy returns with “Sunshine” alongside Foushee.

The new record is a soothing confessional track that depicts Lacy and Foushee as a former couple a bit removed from their relationship. Despite their complaints about their new reality, each admits that deep down they hope to reconnect intimately just for another chance to be in each other’s presence. “Sunshine” also arrives with a video that captures Lacy playing with a band before we see Foushee get hoisted into the sky by a crane, and soon enough, Lacy joins her as they both sing their hearts out while dangling above the city.

You can watch the video for “Sunshine” above and see the full tracklist for Gemini Rights below.

1. “Static”
2. “Helmet”
3. “Mercury”
4. “Buttons”
