There’s a Drake solo album coming at some point in the near future, but for now, the focus is on Some Sexy Songs, his joint project with PartyNextDoor that drops in a matter of hours on February 14.
Ahead of that, the artists have revealed the project’s tracklist. There are 21 tracks and the post also notes the album is 74 minutes long.
This comes shortly after the pair shared the album cover on February 11, and it features two people (presumably them or meant to be them) wearing furry outfits and shielding themselves from wind and snow as they pose in front of the Absolute World skyscraper condominiums in Mississauga, just outside of Toronto.
Drake recently teased the vibe of the album, saying on stage at an Australian concert, “It’s called Some Sexy Songs 4 U, but it’s some turned-up songs for you on there, too, and there’s some personal feelings on there for you.”
Check out the Some Sexy Songs 4 U cover art and tracklist below.

“Mega Circuit” was “one of the first songs I wrote, intent on making a creepier, more guitar driven record,” Zauner explained in a statement. “The song is sort of an examination of contemporary masculinity, and explores a conflicted desire to embrace a generation that in the absence of positive role models has found refuge in violence and bigotry. We had the legendary Jim Keltner — who’s played on everything from ‘These Days’ to ‘Here You Come Again’ to ‘Dream Weaver’ — come in and play the fiercest shuffle you’ve ever heard.”
You can watch the “Mega Circuit” video, which includes footage of Zauner riding a four-wheeler and bashing a creepy plastic head with a stick, above. Also, check out the dates for Japanese Breakfast’s expanded For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women) tour below.

Over the past year or so, Macklemore has become a big protest song guy. He dropped “Hind’s Hall” in May 2024, which was critical of then-president Joe Biden’s handling of the conflict between Israel and Palestine. He later shared a sequel to the track, and now, he has shared “F*cked Up.”
The song sees Macklemore directly addressing Donald Trump (“New era ushered, but white supremacy is still in charge / Talkin’ colonizing Gaza from the White House lawn,” “How you think Israel gets money for the best tanks? / And Netanyahu loves Trump, he’s like, ‘Yup, thanks,’” “The next four years, it’s time to ride / F*ck ICE, free Congo, Sudan, and Palestine”) and Elon Musk (“They got me f*cked up / And Elon, we know exactly what that was, bruh”).
In September 2024, Macklemore said “F*ck America” while performing a benefit concert, and he later explained, “My thoughts and feelings are not always expressed perfectly or politely. Sometimes, I slip up and get caught in the moment. Saturday night was one of those times. […] I have been disillusioned and disheartened as our government has continued to unequivocally fund and support Israel’s ongoing violence against the people of Palestine. […] Do not misconstrue the word ‘f*ck’ for the word ‘hate.’ It’s different to be angry than to disown. My ‘f*ck’ — my anger — is rooted not in disdain for where I was born but in anguish for how we can collectively allow this to continue. It is not directed at the people that make up our country, but towards our government who refuse to listen to us.”
The Jonas Brothers gave their fans a fright with a lengthy message on the band’s official Instagram account.
Are The Jonas Brothers Breaking Up?
“To our incredible fans, as a family, we have been reflecting a lot lately…” the post begins. “It’s been 20 years since we started this journey together. To us, it feels like just yesterday we were loading up our family mini-van with a couple of guitars and copies of It’s About Time CDs, en route to an afternoon performance at a local to play for anyone who would listen.”
The note continued, “In the years that followed, you’ve given us a thousand lifetimes of incredible memories. We wake up each day filled with gratitude that you’ve been on this 20-year journey with us. Together, we have celebrated wins, made mistakes, overcome obstacles, and grieved losses. Put simply: we’ve all grown up together.”
This is when Jonas Brothers fans began to worry that they were announcing their break up, but based on the rest of the note, that is not the case.
“We are celebrating this wild 20-year journey by doing what we love, and we can’t wait to share it with you. 2025 will be a year of music: New Jonas Brothers music. Solo music. A live concert album. A soundtrack.”
“Here’s to the next 20 years, and here’s to doing it together,” it ended. “The best is yet to come.” Including a Disney+ Christmas special.
The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame announced its 2025 class of inductees yesterday (February 12), and among this year’s picks are Mariah Carey, Outkast, Phish, Soundgarden, The White Stripes, and Oasis. This is Oasis’ second consecutive year getting the nod, and for the second consecutive year, Liam Gallagher couldn’t care less.
Yesterday, an Oasis fan account on X (formerly Twitter) called for fans to help the band get in by voting online. Gallagher, however, responded, “RNR hall of fame is for WANKERS.” Another user replied, “What are you gonna do if you win,” and Gallagher responded, “Obv go and say it’s the best thing EVER.” In another tweet, he envisioned, “I’m gonna go and pick up the award and say I’ll let you off this is a wonderful honour and id like to thank all of the GODS starting with MYSELF.”
This comes after Gallagher had a similar reaction last year. At the time, he shared tweets like “F*ck the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS LG x,” “I honestly feel there’s something very fishy about those awards,” and of course, the timeless classic, “I don’t need some wank award by some geriatric in a cowboy hat.”
It’s no secret that many of the “spontaneous” moments that happen during concerts and other live performances are planned out in advance, but it turns out a viral moment at a recent Sabrina Carpenter show wasn’t just orchestrated, it was specifically requested by one of its participants.
During the second half of Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet Tour, the “Espresso” singer took to “arresting” an audience member for “being too hot.” Knowing this, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown texted Carpenter well in advance of the show to ensure she’d be the one wearing the fuzzy pink cuffs.
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Brown admitted she texted the singer before the concert to ask, “Can you arrest me?” Carpenter obliged, “I would love to arrest you.”
During the show itself, Carpenter offered one of her signature cheeky jokes as she presented Brown with the prized cuffs. “This girl is so hot,” she declared. “Millie, I’ve never fallen in love at a concert before, but stranger things have happened.” RIMSHOT!
Since that moment, Sabrina continued the tradition with other celebrities, including actress Margaret Qualley and her husband, producer Jack Antonoff; actress Rachel Sennott; and, in perhaps the most meta moment of all, SNL‘s Marcello Hernández in character as Domingo, from the show’s “Espresso”-inspired, Ariana Grande-starring sketch in which the singer crooned purposely off-key to Carpenter’s delight.
Sometimes the best new R&B can be hard to find, but there are plenty of great rhythm-and-blues tunes to get into if you have the time to sift through the hundreds of newly released songs every week. So that R&B heads can focus on listening to what they love in its true form, we’ll be offering a digest of the best new R&B songs that fans of the genre should hear every Friday.
Since the last update of this weekly R&B column, we’ve received plenty of music and news from the genre’s artists.
Drake announced the release date of his and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s joint album $ome $exy $ongs, while SZA added more songs to her Lana (SOS Deluxe) album, including a feature with Don Toliver. Leon Thomas made his late-night TV debut with a performance of “Mutt,” and Joy Crookes and Kano connected for the former’s “Mathematics.” Elsewhere, The Weeknd released a video for “Open Hearts” and Moses Sumney updated “Hey Girl(s)” with features from Meshell Ndegeocello and Syd
Here are the new music releases you need to listen to:
Giveon — “Twenties”
It’s been well over two years since Giveon released new music into the world, but the Long Beach singer is finally back with a new offering. “Twenties” finds Giveon drowning in heartbreak as he reminisces over the years he spent pursuing a relationship that amounted to nothing once it fell apart.
Rory — “Who Are You Anyway?” Feat. Leon Thomas
Rory, yes that Rory from the New Rory & MAL podcast, released one of the best R&B albums back in 2023 with his debut I Thought It’d Be Different. Two years later and Rory seems to be ready to lead another stellar R&B project, kicking things off with “Who Are You Anyway?” The track features Leon Thomas on vocals as the “Mutt” singer seeks clarity over dramatic production.
Chase Shakur — Wonderlove
“I wanted to represent love in its most pure form — sonically, lyrically, vocally, everything.” That what Chase Shakur said his goal was with his new debut album Wonderlove. The 16-track project delivers sixteen songs and features from Smino, Rimon, and TyFontaine for a body of work that’s sleek from start to finish.
TA Thomas — “Preach”
Straight out of the Mississippi Delta, TA Thomas has the voice of that could only come from a southern soul like himself. The latest example of that comes from his new single “Preach” which kicks off the rollout toward his The Southern Soul EP in bass-thumping fashion.
Jordan Hawkins — “Emotions”
With his 4Loss EP on the way, LA-based singer Jordan Hawkins checks in with “Emotions.” The track is a masterful blend of rock and R&B as Hawkins sears through the record with a tale of love’s highs and lows.
Zyah Belle — “1-800 Heartbreak”
Bay Area singer Zyah Belle kicks off her 2025 campaign with her lush single “1-800 Heartbreak.” The new dives into the sense of longing as she reflects on a lost love. “This song is about leaning into the melodrama of heartbreak, letting yourself feel it all, and creating a soundtrack for the messy, vulnerable, and achingly honest moments,” she said about the new record.
Jordyn Simone — Remember When
Los Angeles singer Jordyn Simone checks in with her debut EP Remember When. The 6-track project is highly collaborative, as each song features a verse from a male singer, including Dende, Lekan, Phabo, Reggie Becton, TA Thomas, and Joseph Solomon. Altogether, Remember When covers love from both perspectives, as each of the singers on Simone’s project play the role of her companion on their respective songs.
Jazlyn Martin — “Have It Your Way” Feat. TheArti$t
Bel-Air actress Jazlyn Martin delivered her debut EP Identity Crisis in the closing weeks of summer in 2024. Now, just five months later, she’s back with new music for old and new fans who joined for the ride. “Have It Your Way” connects Martin with New Jersey singer TheARTI$t for an anthem of self-worth and independence in love.
Mack Keane — “Person I Know / Another Man’s Life”
On March 7, Mack Keane will release his first project since 2022’s Intersections with ESTA. Ahead of its release, the singer Los Angeles delivers his third double-sided single in as many months with “Person I Know” and “Another Man’s Life.” The first record is a serene offering that’s reminiscent of some of his best songs, while “Another Man’s Life” opts for funkier production.
Melanie Fiona — “Mona Lisa Smile”
With her Say, Yes EP still in route, Melanie Fiona delivers the second single from the project with “Mona Lisa Smile.” The track is a poignant ode to her resilience as sings about keeping a brave face despite hard times. “The ‘Mona Lisa Smile’ is the armor we all wear to protect our pain,” Fiona said about the song.
Etta Bond — “Let Me See Your Phone”
For her first single since late 2023, British singer Etta Bond delivers the somber “Let Me See Your Phone.” The track dives into the trying times of a relationship and Bond’s desire to break free, but her inability to do so.
Joy Crookes — “Mathematics” Feat. Kano
British singer Joy Crookes returns with “Mathematics,” her second single of the year. The Kano-assisted record aims to navigate the messiness of human connection, a topic Crookes expanded on in a press release. “I’ve realized this song is somewhat an angry song about how easy I find it to love and the frustration that it can’t be reciprocated,” she said.
Welcome to SNX DLX, your weekly roundup of the best sneakers to hit the internet. This week is going to be a hard one for terminally online sneakerheads. The 2025 NBA All-Star weekend is heading to San Francisco this weekend, so many of the shoes releasing this week are dropping exclusively at partner stores in San Francisco and the larger Bay Area. That’s great news for NorCal sneakerheads and bad news for pretty much everybody else (unless you’re heading to All-Star Weekend).
If you buy the majority of your sneakers through apps and online, it might be a little harder to locate certain pairs, but given how robust the aftermarket is, scoring some of these sneakers isn’t going to be impossible. You just might have to wait a few days. While the majority of sneaker drops this week will be dropping in exclusive stores, that’s not the case for every dope sneaker releasing this week. In fact, the best pairs will still be readily available on the apps.
It might look like we have a short drop list this week, but one of these entries covers nine different sneakers that are all part of the same collection, so while it might look small, this week’s SNX is actually super-sized. Let’s dive in!
2024 marked the return of the Kobe Protro, and it looks like the Protro love is going to continue into 2025, as this is already the third noteworthy new Protro to hit the SNKRS app. The Kobe 6 Protro Sail features a textured star pattern across the upper, a low-profile design, upgraded traction, and a Sail colorway with a contrasting black swoosh.
So far, we’d say that the 2025 Kobe drops are dunking on the 2024 designs. Sure, there is a lot of time left in the year, but so far we are three for three and that’s a great sign!
The Nike Kobe 6 Protro Sail is set to drop on February 13th at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $190. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Metallic Silver and Signal Blue
The late ‘90s runner icon, the Spiridon, has returned and it’s looking better than ever! This sneaker features a lightweight mesh upper and is outfitted with reflective piping for better nighttime visibility. As if a shiney metallic silver and bright blue sneaker needed to be more visible. Whatever, it looks great, so we aren’t here to complain. Reflective details are always appreciated!
The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Metallic Silver and Signal Blue is set to drop on February 13th at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $160. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Nike Basketball Black Label Collection
Nike
Price: $140-$550
Nike’s centerpiece drop this week is this 9 sneaker collection, released to celebrate the NBA All-Star Weekend. Dubbed the “Black Label Collection,” this sneaker features all-black colorways of Nike’s current roster of signature sneakers. Included in the set are signature sneakers from Giannis Antetokounmpo, Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Sabrina Ionescu, LeBron James, Ja Morant (with a double drop), and Victor Wembanyama.
If you like stealthy sneakers and love the current roster of signatures out of Nike (shout out Book 1!), then it’s safe to say you’re going to love this set. Unfortunately, these drops are highly limited (the quantity of each coincides with the player’s birth year) and will only be available at physical locations in the San Francisco area.
Bricks & Wood x New Balance “A Different Bounce Collection” (Fresh Foam BB v3/1000)
Bricks & Wood
Price: Fresh Foam $160 / 1000 $140
Released to coincide with NBA All-Star Weekend, Bricks & Wood and New Balance have teamed up for a special black and yellow take on the Fresh Foam BBv3 and 1000 silhouettes. The “A Different Bounce Collection” takes two of New Balance’s best basketball silhouettes and outfits them in premium construction with dual branding, and a soon-to-be iconic colorway.
New Balance has been quiet this year, so it’s great to see the brand finally releasing something noteworthy.
The Bricks & Wood x New Balance Fresh Foam BB v3 and New Balance 1000 are set to drop on February 14th and 15th exclusively at the Bricks & Wood and New Balance pop-up in San Francisco. Try your luck on the aftermarket after release day.
To join in on the NBA All-Star Weekend hype, Adidas is dropping a new colorway of its best modern signature basketball sneaker. The Anthony Edwards 1 Champagne Metallic features a textile and synthetic upper with a hybrid BOOST and Lightstrike midsole for quick energy return and a lightweight feel that’ll keep your court game at peak performance.
We love the shiny panels of the Champagne Metallic colorway. The AE 1 has always been a futuristic-looking sneaker, but this colorway helps to further emphasize those forward-thinking design details.
The Adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Champagne Metallic is set to drop on February 14th at 12:00 AM PST for a retail price of $110. Pick up a pair at Adidas.
This week’s Jordan 1 Black Toe is undoubtedly the most hyped sneaker drop of the weak. But it’s a polarizing one. Because this sneaker takes a legendary colorway, the Black Toe, and alters it just a bit. Instead of the usual Wings logo at the collar, this sneaker features “Air Jordan” branding, a reference to the prototype pair MJ rocked during his initial AJ-1 photoshoot. For hardcore Jordan fans, that’s a fun Easter egg. For those who just want a chance to own the Black Toe, it’s downright blasphemous.
We think it’s a cool look though, and make it so that this release isn’t just another simple refresh. To round out the design, “My Very Best,” in MJ’s handwriting is hidden on the left shoe collar, visible only by UV light, and the tissue paper this pair is wrapped in features unfinished sketches by the sneaker’s designer, Peter Moore. It’s a celebration piece for fans of the most hardcore fans of the Jordan 1.
The Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG Black Toe is set to drop on February 15th at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $180. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.

If not for the demands of rap stardom, WWE could have counted St. Louis native Sexyy Red among its stable of performers last year. In a new interview, Sexyy Red revealed that WWE’s Shawn Michaels offered her “a permanent role” ahead of her string of cameos in 2024, but that due to her busy schedule, she had to settle for hosting the promotion’s Wednesday night minor league show NXT, and popping into various wrestlers’ promotional vignettes.
In the profile for Dazed, Sexyy reinforced the oft-made comparison between rap and wrestling, saying, “Rapping and wrestling are pretty much the same. It’s not quite acting, but it’s kind of acting too, right? Because when we go home and take off all our jewels and gold and remove the costumes we wear, we then have to go right back to reality with our families.”
WWE has made impressive efforts over the past couple of years to reinforce the connection between its product and hip-hop, inviting rappers such as Travis Scott to participate in storylines and ring entrances, and featuring a wealth of pop-ins, such as highlighting a slew of attending rappers during its recent show in Atlanta including 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty, and Quavo. Heroes turned heels New Day even got some cheap heat from a Monday night hometown crowd in LA by dissing Kendrick Lamar (not wise, considering how mercilessly he cooked Drake). Unfortunately, there’s still no word on that Cardi B/Megan Thee Stallion tag team title run, but in wrestling and in hip-hop, anything can happen.
There were a lot of morons who were screaming in anger about Kendrick Lamar’s subversive Super Bowl LIX halftime show. But for Hayley Williams, it was screams of joy. The Paramore singer noticed that Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s backup dancers colored their hair with Good Dye Young, the hair color brand she founded with stylist and makeup artist Brian O’Connor.
“Peekaboo,” a post on Good Dye Young’s Instagram account reads, “GDY Spotted on the Super Bowl Halftime Stage @kendricklamar & @sza Dancers’ showed up and showed outtt with Good Dye Young custom split dye by @luckylettty.” In the replies, Williams wrote, “Screaming at my TV!”
The campaign to get Paramore to play the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show begins… now.
“People kind of started to recognize Paramore more easily because of the way that I looked, which I think at times I’ve resented, but it all just kind of unfolded in this way that felt really natural,” Williams (who is helping release her 78-year-old grandfather’s debut album) told Hypebeast about the origin of Good Dye Young. “With Brian and I both being from a small town and already interested in this subculture, the collaboration came really organically.”
