‘Inside The NBA’ Tried A Bunch Of Ice Cream And Shaq Really Hated The Kraft Mac And Cheese Flavor

Every now and then, the fine folks behind Inside the NBA decide to do something really silly that has nothing to do with the great game of basketball, all for our entertainment. We got an example of that on Tuesday night, when Chuck, Shaq, Kenny, and Ernie got to chow down on some ice cream.

The catch: Some of the flavors were a little bit weird. Two of them were pretty normal, as the second ice cream was dark chocolate and the fourth one was chocolate peanut butter. But the first flavor that everyone tried (other than Kenny Smith, because he dove right into a separate flavor) really did not sit well with Shaquille O’Neal, as he was visibly disgusted by the Kraft mac and cheese flavored dessert.

Now, in fairness to Shaq, while I am willing to try anything once, I can see why this might not taste especially great. There was also a pizza flavored ice cream, which appeared to catch everyone off guard — Kenny thought it was cookie dough or cookies and cream, Shaq agreed on cookie dough, and Charles Barkley went with cherry vanilla. They were all extremely wrong.

Anyway, between this and Chuck saying “fool, coffee is chocolate,” which Kenny quickly swatted away as Shaq stood up from his chair and laughed, we have our latest example that Inside the NBA consistently gives us some of its best content when the focus shifts away from basketball.

Rosalia Chops Wood In Her New ‘Delirio De Grandeza’ Music Video

Rosalía is taking over the world with Motomami, one of the biggest albums of this year so far. She built up the hype of the album with catchy singles and spicy music videos, and she’s still not done. She’s back today with a video for the track “Delirio De Grandeza.”

Instead of killing The Weeknd like she did in “La Fama” or doing a dance choreography like in “Chicken Teriyaki,” the singer is hanging out in the woods, building fires, chopping down trees, running around, walking in the water, and collecting stones. The big campfire at the end feels symbolic as the camera focuses on the glowing embers.

Motomami is not only being praised by critics and fans, but also by fellow musicians, from Cardi B to the Solar Power star Lorde. “I’ve listened to the Rosalía album every day since it came out,” the “Royals” singer wrote in her newsletter. “F*ck, it’s so good, I gagged when I heard that interpolation of “Archangel,” “Hentai” is genius, “Sakura”… projects like this remind me why I live for pop music — at its best, there’s nothing better.” She recently even did a cover of “Hentai” on one of her tour stops.

Madonna Launches A New NFT Of Her Vagina Giving Birth To Insects, Butterflies, And Trees

How do you do, fellow kids? Madonna has entered the NFT chat.

In a new series of NFTs with the artist Beeple, Madonna’s Mother of Creation NFT series is an “NFT Triptych,” that “represents a different form of birth in our contemporary world,” according to the project’s website. Composed of three separate NFTs, each is an immaculate 3D rendering of Madonna and her anatomically correct private parts giving birth to butterflies, insects, and trees. They’re called Mother Of Nature, Mother Of Evolution, And Mother Of Technology.

The NFTs leave nothing to the imagination, as they depict an actual tree growing out of her vagina, or caterpillars emerging from within, before a butterfly flutters from between her legs and into the world. “I wanted to investigate the concept of creation, not only the way a child enters the world through a woman’s vagina but also the way an artist gives birth to creativity,” Madonna is quoted as saying on the website.

All of the proceeds from the sale of these NFTs will benefit nonprofits focused on helping women and children around the world. “Most importantly we wanted to use this opportunity to benefit mothers and children who are most in need right now,” Madonna added on the website. The three organizations that the sale of this art benefits, include The City of Joy, The Voices of Children Foundation, and Black Mama’s Bail Out.

You can view all of the fairly-NSFW digital renderings of these NFTs on the website here. The auctions begin on 05/11 at 3 pm PST on Superrare.

Madonna is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Most Of The 20 Most Popular Shows From The 2021-2022 Season Have Something In Common

Let’s take a look at the total viewership for the 10 most popular scripted broadcast shows from the 2021-2022 season, which began in September of last year and ended this May.

1. NCIS, CBS — 10.97 million
2. FBI, CBS — 10.35 million
3. Chicago Fire, NBC — 9.92 million
4. Blue Bloods, CBS — 9.60 million
5. The Equalizer, CBS — 9.30 million
6. Chicago PD, NBC — 9.25 million
7. Young Sheldon, CBS — 9.22 million
8. Chicago Med, NBC — 9.20 million
9. FBI: Most Wanted, CBS — 8.85 million
10. Ghosts, CBS — 8.41 million

What pops out immediately, besides the days of Seinfeld-level ratings being gone? It could be a few things: that CBS still reigns supreme among the Big Four networks; that none of these shows are what you would call “social media popular” (unless you only follow your grandparents); that everyone needs to cool it on acronyms, etc.

For me, it’s that, with the exception of Ghosts and Young Sheldon, every show is about firefighters (Chicago Fire), doctors (Chicago Med), or cops / special agents (NCIS, FBI, Blue Bloods, Chicago PD, FBI: Most Wanted, The EqualizerQueen Latifah’s character is a former CIA operative, so it counts). If you extend the top 10 into a top 20, it’s more of the same, with FBI: International at #11, NCIS: Hawai’i at #12, NCIS: Los Angeles at #16 (don’t worry, there are more NCIS spinoffs in the works), Magnum P.I. at #17, 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star at #18 and #19, and The Good Doctor at #20.

That’s 15 out of 20 shows about firefighters, doctors, or cops/agents! If CBS makes a show about a CIA agent who is also a doctor with the name of a city or state in the title, it will be the most popular show of all-time. If the main character’s first name is Sheldon and he has a mustache, even better.

In case you were wondering, the lowest-rated show of the season based on Variety looking at Nielsen data is Welcome to Flatch (1.07 million), followed by The Great North, Bob’s Burgers, and Grand Crew. In other words, good shows.

Fivio Foreign Just Wants A ‘Hello’ From The Love Interest In His New Video With Chloe And KayCyy

While drill rap is primarily known for its rugged tales of late-night shootouts and nods to New York’s apparently flourishing gang culture, occasionally it can be a little more down-to-earth. In Fivio Foreign’s video for “Hello,” from his debut album, B.I.B.L.E., he turns the drill sound downright romantic, requesting a little attention from a romantic interest alongside rising singers Chloe and KayCyy.

Naturally, each of the singers gets some screen time of their own as well, but the overall narrative remains fixed on FIvie and his pursuit of an attractive woman at a party. Meanwhile, Chloe’s verse traipses the line between deft rapping and mellifluous singing, and KayCyy ties things up with a bow at the end with a lilting, melodic rap.

B.I.B.L.E. debuted at No. 9 on the US Billboard 200 chart in April behind 29,000 album-equivalent units. Its release was fueled by lead single, “City of Gods,” which was produced by Kanye West and featured Alicia Keys, and peaked at No. 46 on the Hot 100. The album also included appearances from ASAP Rocky, Coi Leray, DJ Khaled, Lil Yachty, Lil Tjay, Polo G, Quavo, and more.

B.I.B.L.E. is out now via Columbia Records and RichFish. Get it here.

Selena Gomez Apologizes For ‘Mocking’ Hailey Bieber In A New TikTok

If you’re looking for some low-stakes, high school drama, you’re in luck! We’ve got a fun one for you.

Despite doing her best to stay off social media, Selena Gomez still manages to get roped into some good old-fashion drama, and most of the time it’s brought upon by fans of her ex, Justin Bieber, and his wife Hailey. Gomez and Bieber (Hailey) have a complex history, according to their fans. In real life, they probably don’t think much about each other, but the internet loves drama, so there it is.

After Hailey posted a “get ready with me” TikTok (for the uninformed, it’s just a video of a person doing their makeup), Gomez also posted one of herself doing her makeup. Harmless, right? Not so much. Bieber fans accused Gomez of “mocking” Hailey’s video, saying she was “rolling her eyes” while applying makeup. Drama began to brew in Gomez’ comment section, to which she said: “Guys no idea what I did but I really am sorry. Zero bad intention. Deleting soon.” Gomez kept the video up but turned off comments.

Here’s the thing: the two starlets both have makeup lines (Rhode, Hailey Bieber’s line, launches later this year, Gomez’ brand Rare launched in 2020), and these harmless videos were made to show off their makeup skills. Hailey has said many times that there is no hate between the two of them and asked fans to leave her alone. Gomez even stays off social media because of all the toxicity.

Moral of the story? There is no shade here! Perhaps Gomez was right when she said we should all log off! Forever! Go outside and enjoy the day!

Nets GM Sean Marks Thinks The Team’s Culture ‘Isn’t What It Quite Was’ But Is Optimistic That Will Change

The Brooklyn Nets had a tumultuous 2021-22 campaign that saw them make the playoffs via the play-in tournament before getting swept in the first round by the Boston Celtics. The season was largely defined not by their play on the court, but instead, by things like Kyrie Irving’s inability to play for long stretches of the year due to his decision to not get vaccinated against COVID-19 and everything surrounding the James Harden-for-Ben Simmons trade.

Because the team had aspirations of winning a championship at every turn and came up so spectacularly short, there have been questions asked about all the potential things that went wrong. One question posed to general manager Sean Marks during his end of season press conference on Wednesday was whether or not the franchise leaned too hard into player empowerment as a standard operating procedure, and Marks took some time to talk about the team’s overall culture.

Marks spent some time diving into how “your culture’s never done,” and how if they stuck exactly to the culture they built up during his first few years at the helm without trying to evolve, “it would have been a failure.” After mentioning that the challenges of building a roster around a pair of max players means they will look a little different every year, Marks explained that there are challenges the Nets will need to address.

“The culture is always gonna change and tweak as to who comes in here,” Marks said. “Did we take a step back? Without a doubt, without a doubt. The culture isn’t what it quite was, and it’s gonna be our job to pick that up. And between Steve [Nash] and myself, as leaders of that, we will certainly be doing that.

“But again, we’ve got to find the players again that are gonna drive that culture,” Marks continued. “It has to be driven by players. It cannot be driven by one or two people, it’s gotta be driven by the players, they’ve gotta want it, we’ve gotta find players, again, that have the characteristics that support that — which is gonna be a little bit of that grit and determination and fight.”

Sarah Silverman Finds It Awfully ‘Odd’ That People Expect More From Comedians Than Elected Officials

Sarah Silverman stopped by The View on Wednesday morning where she discussed both the infamous Oscars slap as well as the pending Supreme Court ruling that could overturn Roe v. Wade. To kick things off, the outspoken comedian was asked if she’s terrified about performing on stage after both Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were attacked in the past month. Silverman said she’s not worried at all and doesn’t see the attacks becoming commonplace. However, she did find it strange that people were heavily scrutinizing the two events.

“I do think that people have higher expectations of their comedians than their representatives, and it’s very odd, you know?” Silverman said.

Later, Silverman fielded a question on abortion rights, and she had a lot to say about the topic. When the comedian was asked by Sunny Hostin why she said after the leak was revealed that she “can and can’t believe this is happening,” Silverman explained her thought process.

“You know, they’ve been chipping away, bit by bit, quietly state by state at women’s rights and… it’s a war against the poor,” Silverman said. “Women of means will always be able to have abortions. Dangerous abortions will take place. It’s just bizarre that the same people that want government out of our lives want it in our uteruses.”

Silverman was asked by Joy Behar if she thinks this will motivate women to vote in November, the comedian admitted to having the same hope. “In all of the trembling from waking up that morning, you go, ‘I wonder if this will help us in the midterms…’ But I don’t know,’ Silverman said. “It’s pretty far out. It’s dystopian. The progress to devolution ratio going on in our lifetime is pretty wild.”

How Marvel’s ‘Moon Knight’ teaches us to embrace all our selves

The great thing about Marvel is: even if you’re exhausted with superhero movies (it’s okay, I am too) the franchise often sprinkles their mega fights and formulaic plots with thought provoking, empathetic character studies.

In the recent limited (or maybe not so limited) series “Moon Knight”, the hero Marc Spector has Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), a mental condition where a person has at least two or more distinct personalities. As with any piece of art made public, there has been criticism of the show, in particular of the accuracy of its portrayal of DID.

However, the negative feedback misses Moon Knight’s ultimate success: Marc’s story not only inspires compassion for mental illness, it also shows us that sometimes the biggest battle we face is simply loving ourselves entirely.

Warning: Spoilers for the series below!

For most of the show, Marc’s alternate personality Steven Grant is the primary protagonist. Until the penultimate episode, when we learn he was created by Marc to help escape his painful childhood.

After the tragic death of his younger brother, who drowned in a cave while the two were playing, Marc’s mother blamed him for the loss. Her resentment forced him to endure severe neglect, abuse, and cruelty while internalizing his own guilt.

While in reality DID is much more complex, “Moon Knight” does faithfully capture the healing made possible through opening up about our trauma and mental illness. As both characters face the truth together, both Marc and Steven are able to reconcile. In the end, they are no longer at odds—they become brothers.

In the final episode’s emotional climax, we see Marc, a man bestowed with magical fighting abilities, turn to Steven, the creation forged by his own suffering, and whisper:

“You are the only real superpower I ever had.”

In this hard won victory of self-acceptance; Marc’s heart becomes whole again.

In my personal life, I’m a practitioner of EFT, a healing modality that blends aspects of both psychotherapy and acupressure. In EFT, there’s a concept of “bringing love to the pain.” In a session with a coach, or by themselves, a person visualizes a traumatic memory from childhood. As they tap on their body—where trauma often gets stuck—they repeat phrases like “even though this happened, I still love and accept myself.”

The idea is that by repeating these positive phrases out loud while simultaneously releasing stored negative energy in the body, we can rewire our brains to stop repeating the same story associated with those memories. It might sound a little woo-woo, but there’s quite a bit of scientific evidence showing how effective EFT can be. Sometimes all it takes is genuine love and forgiveness for ourselves. It’s simple, but not always easy. Even Marc had to go through Egyptian Hell to achieve it.

Regardless of a mental health diagnosis, this is a universal challenge. How many of us can look into the mirror and truly love everything that we see?

For some, perhaps even for most, this is a lifelong process. But “Moon Knight” teaches is that self acceptance has profound benefits on our character.

No Offense To Robert Pattinson And Zoe Kravitz, But ‘Jackass Forever’ Should Win Best Kiss At The 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards

Ever since the Spike Guys Choice Awards was carried through the gates of Valhalla to ride eternal, shiny and smelling like Axe body spray, the most chaotic (and therefore, most enjoyable) award show is the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Where else can you find Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short pitted against Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, and Brad Pitt other than Best Fight? Or how about The Batman‘s Colin Farrell vs. You‘s Victoria Pedretti vs. Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s Willem Dafoe for Best Villain?

But my personal favorite category is Best Kiss, where previous winners include Anna Chlumsky and Macaulay Culkin for My Girl, Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott for American Pie 2, and Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who won four years in a row (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was robbed). Pattinson is again up for Best Kiss at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards, this time for his sexy smooch with The Batman co-star Zoe Kravitz. But doesn’t he have enough? He’s freaking Batman and has worked with all your favorite directors. Give Best Kiss to the couple that deserves it:

Jackass Forever‘s Poopsies and snake were nominated for Best Kiss, along with Pattinson and Kravitz, Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike for Euphoria, Lily Collins and Lucien Laviscount for Emily in Paris, and Tom Holland and Zendaya for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
