A Fan Photographed Chappell Roan’s Recent Concert With A Nintendo DS And The Singer Hilariously Called Them Out

Chappell Roan has been having a difficult time coping with fame. From the “stalker vibes” from fans to being diagnosed with severe depression, the “Good Luck, Babe” singer is open about her ongoing struggle. But yesterday (September 21), she found a little slice of happiness onstage.

During what appears to be her Midwest Princess Tour‘s recent stop at London’s O2 Academy Brixton, Chappell Roan found humor in the device one attendee used to photograph her performance. “B*tch is that a DS,” she asked. “You keep taking photos on your DS, you keep doing it.”

The video captured by fellow attendees (viewable here courtesy of Pop Base), caught the hilarious encounter as Chappell Roan locked eye with the ticket holder sneaking flicks with their Nintendo DS.

Users online also found humor in the incident and took to their pages to give the concertgoers cool points.

“Anyone rocking a DS today is seriously awesome, no doubt about it,” wrote one user.

“At this point it’s a flex to record with a DS,” penned another.

“Anyone carrying around a DS today is cool af, frankly,” chimed another.

Although the fan has yet to be identified it is safe to assume that moment was considered to be lighthearted. Plus after paparazzi captured a hostile exchange with Chappell Roan and a 2024 VMAs red carpet photographer, you see that his incident was far less tension-filled.

Doja Cat Denies Being Engaged Seemingly To Rumored Boyfriend Joseph Quinn Despite Flashing A Ring During iHeart Radio Festival 2024

Is Doja Cat heading down the aisle? Yesterday (September 21), the “Paint The Town Red” rapper seemed to be glowing during her performance at iHeart Radio Festival 2024. So, when she flashed a ring to the crowd fans were excited.

After being spotted snuggled up with Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn supporters drove head first into the suspected couple. However, Doja Cat took to X (formerly Twitter) to swift deny that she was in fact engagement seeming to Joseph Quinn.

In a now deleted post (captured by Pop Crave, viewable here), Doja Cat wrote: “No, I’m not engaged. Its. David Yurman ring with no rocks in it.”

During the iHeart Radio Festival 2024 broadcast, the details of the ring could not be seen. But based on Doja Cat’s pose and propelling of her hand led fans to assume it was the Grammy Award winner’s formal announcement.

At this time, Doja Cat nor Joseph Quinn have confirmed that they are indeed in a committed relationship. Although after the pair didn’t hide their public displays of affection while vacationing in London. Still, given their rocky romantic start, (which involved Quinn’s co-sign Noah Schnapp outing Doja Cat for attempting to use him as a middle man), an engagement would have certainly made the public embarrassment worth it in the end.

A’ja Wilson Won Her Third MVP Award In Unanimous Fashion

The 2024 WNBA MVP race did not feature too much drama by the time the end of the season rolled around. Despite a phenomenal season from Napheesa Collier in Minnesota and another strong campaign by 2023 MVP Breanna Stewart, A’ja Wilson was doing things we’ve never seen from a WNBA player in Las Vegas.

Wilson averaged 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, and 1.8 steals per game for the Aces this season, upping her production by a significant margin over her past MVP seasons. Wilson set WNBA records for both points and rebounds in a season, crossing the 1,000 point mark in a season for the first time in league history. As such, it felt like a formality that she would be the league’s MVP, and on Sunday morning the WNBA made it official that A’ja was the unanimous MVP — with Wilson getting the call while with the team on Saturday night.

Much like her speech after hitting the 1,000-point mark, Wilson shifted attention in the room to her teammates and made sure they knew how much she appreciated them. It is Wilson’s third MVP award, as she has won it every other year since 2020 — 2020, 2022, and now 2024. As for the voting, Wilson won with all 67 first place votes, while Collier got 66 second place votes (and one third). Breanna Stewart finished third in voting with 52 third place votes and the lone second place vote that didn’t go to Collier. Caitlin Clark finished fourth, with 6 third place, 26 fourth place, and 22 fifth place votes, followed by Alyssa Thomas rounding out the top-5.

The ‘Peaky Blinders’ Movie: Everything To Know So Far About Cillian And The Gang’s Next ‘Order’ Including Rebecca Ferguson

peaky blinders
BBC/Caryn Mandabach Productions/Netflix

By Order Of The Peaky Fookin’ Blinders. The Cillian Murphy-led, Steven Knight-created gangster series will make “six seasons and a movie” happen, beating this show to the punch (and we can blame this dude’s busy schedule).

Speaking of packed careers, Cillian Murphy’s post-Oppenheimer glow hasn’t slowed him down. He has still made time to return as Tommy Shelby OBE after packing in 28 Years Later (the first in a trilogy of new rage-virus films), Blood Runs Coal (a true-crime drama), and Small Things Like These (about the Magdalene Laundries in Ireland). And as viewers will recall, Tommy still lives after realizing that he had been tricked into believing that he had a brain tumor. His gypsy wagon went up in flames along with his mementos from the past, freeing him to return to Birmingham, with or without a razor in his cap.

In 2023, Murphy raved about his Peaky love by declaring, “I’ve always thought that if there’s more story to tell,” and he recently told Netflix, “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me,” and “[t]his is one for the fans.” Alright fans, let’s talk about what might and will happen next.

Plot

BBC/Caryn Mandabach Productions/Netflix

Creator Steven Knight and director Tom Harper are on the scene with filming beginning in September. Let’s also get this out of the way first: after the show’s sixth-season finale practically went out of its way to put Alfie Solomons-Tommy Shelby ^^^ face-to-face for a final TV conversation, there’s little chance of this film being “for the fans” without a repeat performance happening. Tom Hardy recently proclaimed his intent to surface by declaring, “100% Alfie will definitely make an appearance, but I don’t know when” before admitting, “I don’t even know if he will, that’s just me punting.” C’mon, Alfie is necessary, but now, let’s move onto story.

Does it matter that the Peaky Blinders movie will be ragingly inaccurate for historical purposes? Hell no. The real-life Blinders were already wiped out years before the show’s timeline ended in 1933, and nobody cares about this slip of the pen. Instead, we simply want to see more of the gang with Tommy finding them in terrible danger, only to solve the problem and reveal that he’s secretly had the entire situation under control. That’s the Peaky way.

Now, the Shelby family will move onto WWII-era events. That was the promise from Knight back when Peaky announced the sixth and final season, and he recently confirmed at the RTS London Convention (via Deadline) that the movie is “set in the Second World War and it’s really good.”

We shouldn’t expect Tommy or Arthur to be fighting in this war (as opposed to WWI) after several time jumps in the show, but Tommy will of course be maneuvering as much as possible at home. That means that we will almost certainly be seeing reprehensible British fascist Oswald Mosely, who had already tried to push Tommy out of the picture through a fake medical diagnosis, siding with his Nazi brethren. And sure, Mosely historically survived WWII, but admit it, Tommy should still kill him on the show.

On the business/family side of Tommy’s life, Ada will likely be retaining her position as matriarch after the death of Polly (and Helen McCrory in real life), and then there’s the issue of succession. Tommy had set up plans for Charles (his son with Grace) to run the legit side of Shelby Company Limited and Duke (his illegitimate son) to take hold of the criminal dealings, so we shall likely see how these two are coexisting as business partners, although it doesn’t seem likely that Tommy will retire before his death. After all, we already saw him disastrously fail to take a break during the show.

Cast

On family matters: Cillian Murphy will definitely be back as Tommy Shelby. We can assume that we will see Paul Anderson as Arthur Shelby and Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne, and perhaps brief appearances will come from Kate Phillips as Arthur’s reluctant wife, Linda, and Natasha O’Keeffe as Tommy’s estranged wife, Lizzie. Presumably, Harry Kirton will not return as the ousted Finn Shelby, but perhaps Tommy seeks more gypsy knowledge, and we could see Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Esme Shelby-Lee. As for Tommy’s sons, Conrad Khan could conceivably still portray Duke Shelby in the WWII era, although Billy Jenkins could be replaced by an older actor as Charles Shelby.

Presumably, we will see the show nod towards the late Helen McCrory with a reminder of Polly Gray. Finn Cole’s Michael Gray obviously will not be back, but there’s a chance that Anya Taylor-Joy could be making trouble as Gina Gray, although it seems likely that her character will have moved onto other targets.

Since WWII is afoot, it would make sense for Sam Claflin to return as Sir Oswald Mosley with Amber Anderson back as Lady Diana Mosley.

And you know what? Tom Hardy must return as Alfie Solomons. I don’t want to hear anything to the contrary.

Knight has forecast new faces for the movie and even revealed two names. Those include the consistently incredible Rebecca Ferguson in an undisclosed role, and let’s face it, Tommy will make a pass at her (hopefully immensely powerful) character. Additionally, Barry Keoghan will be “shaking off all the cobwebs” from “chilling” lately. He will probably do dastardly things and maybe get naked while doing them.

Release Date

Realistically? This won’t come together until 2026, but the bright side there is that those involved, especially Steven Knight and Murphy, will not half-ass this conclusion.

Trailer

Since cameras only recently began to roll, this is an ideal time to revisit the comic relief that is Tom Hardy’s Alfie Solomons:

Alfie: Now, how soon did you know that I was not dead?

Tom: You wrote me a letter, Alfie.

Alfie: Did I?

Please enjoy this glorious montage:

What’s Popular Now On Streaming Now

trap josh hartnett
Warner Bros.

Every single week, our TV and film experts will list the most important ten streaming selections for you to pop into your queues. We’re not strictly operating upon reviews or accrued streaming clicks (although yes, we’ve scoured the streaming site charts) but, instead, upon those selections that are really worth noticing amid the churning sea of content. There’s a lot out there, after all, and your time is valuable.

10. UgliesNetflix film

Joey King is flat-out gorgeous, so this film has naturally been subject to criticism about the concept of her character, Tally Youngblood, looking forward to plastic surgery. However, the project found a substantial audience while adapting Scott Westerfeld’s young-adult dystopian novel that revolves around a world with government-mandated cosmetic surgery for every teen. Those who complete the process are designated “Pretties” and graduate to a presumably cushy life, but the outcome isn’t that simple. On an unexpected note, this film is helmed by Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle director McG.

9. Cuckoo – Neon film on VOD & Amazon Prime

Euphoria star Hunter Schafer goes into scream queen mode and does what nobody should ever do while grieving her mother’s death: fly across the ocean for a new setting, only to end up at an unsettling hotel, where sinister sh*t is going down involving her family. Also, there’s a horrifying hooded woman and plenty of vomit involved, and the title of the movie is not to be ignored, but to say any more would ruin the experience. (More Hunter in Hollywood, please.)

8. Dark Winds – AMC series streaming on AMC Plus and Netflix

The third season of this stellar crime drama is in the works, and if you haven’t seen what George R.R. Martin has been doing seriously well lately, then you are missing out on a sleeper series that recently took off on Netflix. A growing audience is now enjoying this adaptation of Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee books, in which 1970s Navajo cops are confronted by a series of connected violent crimes near a remote outpost. Writers, cast, and crew are all majority Native American and ensure authenticity to stories of Indigenous people and communities, and the devotees will be able to enjoy much more.

7. Trap – Warner Bros. film on VOD & Amazon Prime

Did you catch slightly unrecognizable Josh Hartnett in Oppenheimer amid the blitz of revolving A-listers? Well, Hartnett is back to carry a film on his own, and it’s like he never left. Here, he portrays a father accompanying his daughter to a mammoth concert from a Taylor Swift-esque artist, and unfortunately, a serial killer is afoot. And I waited until now to mention that M. Night Shyamalan directed, wrote, and produced this film, so expect twists.

6. Agatha All AlongDisney+ series

WandaVision launched the Disney+ MCU shows with much fanfare that has since lost its intensity, but that first show’s spin off brings Kathryn Hahn’s powerful witch back (there’s a catch there) and adds witchy Aubrey Plaza, too. Additionally, this series surprised everybody by debuting with a nude scene that far surpasses the Captain America jokes about “America’s Ass.” Hey, this could be a new Marvel Studios phase in more ways than one.

5. Longlegs – Neon film on VOD & Amazon Prime

Maika Monroe is tasked with tracking down a Satanic serial killer (portrayed by Nicolas Cage like you’ve never seen him before) in this genuinely disturbing horror film from Legally Blonde actor Osgood Perkins. During this movie’s theatrical run, Longlegs became Neon’s highest grossing movie ever and the biggest indie movie of 2024. Viral marketing can kick ass sometimes.

4. Emily In ParisNetflix series

Emily is officially renewed for a fifth season, and that might mean that the show has to change its title to Emily In Rome, but also, she’s gonna screw up with her new boyfriend for that ridiculous Gabriel, isn’t she? We won’t find out the answer to that question tomorrow, but there should be a quick turnaround because Emily’s frothy adventures have too many viewers hooked. I am not sure why I cannot stop watching either, so it’s time to simply accept the fact that this show is addictive despite being a series with zero consequences or substance. Fingers crossed for a spin off, though.

3. Rebel RidgeNetflix film

Aaron Pierre delivers a potentially Bond-making turn in Jeremy Saulnier’s action-conspiracy thriller about an ex-Marine who receives an unwelcome stop from police, who — long story short and to avoid spoilers — messed with the wrong guy. This film carries First Blood vibes but leans more cerebral and does so more successfully than Reacher, which of course is a crowd pleaser on its own merits. The film co-stars Don Johnson, playing another bad cop here (see also HBO’s Watchmen) who ain’t no Sonny Crockett.

2. IndustryHBO series

A new time slot will finish out this season with a fourth edition made official. Let Ken Leung start an office baseball team next time around, alright? Buckle in for a home-run finish to this season and a foul ball for at least one character with a few others stealing some bases. Alright, enough with the analogies. This show has managed to grow its audience over the course of the third season’s run. It’s an accomplishment that is rarely seen on TV, especially in the quick-to-be-cancelled streaming era.

1. Slow HorsesApple TV+ series

Gary Oldman is having the greatest time portraying crotchety Jackson Lamb, the chief f*ck up of a cadre of outcast spies, who of course find themselves tasked with matters of utmost national importance. The leading man has gone on record to point out that James Bond would never fart, and he’s not wrong, which sums up a fair chunk of the hook of the series. This year, the action follows Mick Herron’s fourth Slough House novel, Spook Street, and we are truly living in a golden age of TV streaming takes on prolific spy book series.

‘What We Do In The Shadows’ Season 6: Everything To Know About The Final Season Of One Of The Funniest Shows On TV

shadows final season
fx

For five seasons, What We Do in the Shadows has been one of the funniest (if not the funniest) show on TV. But all good things must come to an end, and like the characters in the FX comedy themselves, the show will soon be laid to rest. Season 6 is the final season of What We Do in the Shadows, meaning there’s only 11 more episodes left for more Laszlo alter-egos, Colin Robinson “up dog” jokes, and the creepy but cute Nadja doll. I’ll miss her most of all.

Here’s everything to know about the final season of What We Do in the Shadows, including plot details and the premiere date.

Plot

In the What We Do in the Shadows season 5 finale, Guillermo, after a brief stint as a vampire, decides he would rather be human. “Who is he if not a familiar who will do anything to please his Master in hopes of one day being turned into a vampire?” the official plot synopsis reads. The rest of the Staten Island gang is reevaluating some things, too: “When their former roommate reappears after a 50-year nap, they realize how little they’ve done in half a century — not one goal accomplished, not one dream pursued, not one part of the New World conquered (except for their street and part of Ashley Street).”

The season will also feature Guillermo realizing “he has to move out of the Vampire Mansion, get his own place, and restart the normal-world life that he left behind,” showrunner Paul Simms told Entertainment Weekly. This proves to be an issue when Guillermo is visited at his workplace by his former roommates. “He can never quite get away from them,” Simms further teased. “There’s some very fun stuff about Guillermo working in a normal office the way normal people do, but Nadja and Nandor also show up to help him out.”

Other plots include the vamps visiting New Hampshire, going to a (human) dinner party, and conjuring a demon, “all while trying to find their place and their purpose in this crazy, mixed-up world.” You and me, both.

Cast

Does What We Do in the Shadows have the best cast of any comedy on TV these days? It’s certainly in the running, and everyone is back, including Harvey Guillén as Guillermo, Kayvan Novak as Nandor, Matt Berry as Laszlo, Natasia Demetriou as Nadja, Mark Proksch as Colin Robinson, and Kristen Schaal as The Guide. Expect to see more of Anthony Atamanuik as Sean, Doug Jones as Baron Afanas, Chris Sandiford as Derek, and hopefully the return of Nick Kroll as Simon the Devious and Benedict Wong as Wallace as well.

As for guest stars, executive producer Paul Simms told TVLine, “If there’s anything we saved up, it was the guest stars for this season, because we wanted to just use our favorite funniest people.” It’ll be tough to beat the vampire council of Tilda Swinton, Paul Reubens, Wesley Snipes, Danny Trejo, and Evan Rachel Wood, but I trust Shadows will be find a way!

Release Date

What We Do in the Shadows season 6 premieres with three episodes on Monday, October 21 at 10 p.m. ET on FX, and will stream the next day on Hulu.

Trailer

FX hasn’t released a season 6 trailer yet, but you would be a devious bastard if don’t enjoy Matt Berry’s greatest line delivery (and believe me, there are a lot to choose from).

A BYU Player Had An All-Time Great Punt Return For A Touchdown Then Puked

byu-return-top
ESPN

Saturday night’s college football slate ended with a really interesting game, as a pair of 3-0 teams faced off in Provo. The 18th-ranked Kansas State Wildcats traveled to take on BYU, which was unranked. You might not have known that through the first 2.5 quarters of the game, though, as the Cougars were the more physically imposing team, rode a couple of Wildcat turnovers to a 17-6 halftime lead, then came out for the third quarter and remained in control of the game.

After BYU forced a pick on Kansas State’s first drive of the third, the Cougar offense only needed two plays to score. And not long after, they managed to score again, only this time, it was their special teams that got the job done, as Parker Kingston had reservations for six after a 90-yard punt return. That horribly undersells the job Kingston did, get a load of this:

That went from a disaster to a miracle, as he made multiple Kansas State players missed him, went one side of the field to the other, and took off. There were some concerns that he dropped the ball before he crossed the plane of the end zone, but that got looked at and it was determined he was fine. It’s easily one of the best punt returns I’ve ever seen, although there was a downside for Kingston: Running this much made him lose his lunch on the sideline after he scored.

Shedeur Sanders Found LaJohntay Wester On A Hail Mary To Force OT Where They Won On A Baylor Fumble

shedeur sanders
FOX

Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes entered Saturday night looking to get their first win in Big 12 play on the season when they welcomed Baylor into Boulder for a battle of 2-1 teams that both needed this game in their quest for bowl eligibility.

It looked like Baylor was going to come out on top for most of the game, as they led by 14 at the half and took a 7-point lead late in the fourth quarter. However, after hooking a field goal wide left that would’ve put them up 10, Baylor gave Colorado an opening to tie the game and force overtime. It looked unlikely, but Shedeur Sanders (who once again spent more of the game taking hits and sacks than Colorado would like) was able to break the pocket on the last possession and fire a Hail Mary pass to LaJohntay Wester, who somehow found enough space to haul it in with no Baylor defenders even making a decent play on the ball.

I have no idea what 24’s plan was, standing 8 yards deep in the end zone, but he couldn’t close fast enough on the ball to make a play and Wester was able to get free from his defender, who couldn’t keep his footing on a change of direction, with Wester getting his arms under the ball for the unbelievable game-tying touchdown.

In overtime, Colorado scored on the first possession and Baylor quickly marched inside the five where it looked like they’d find an answer. Instead, Travis Hunter created a turnover when he was able to jar loose the ball at the goal line as Baylor was going in for the tying score, with the ball going through the end zone for a touchback to end the game.

It was an absolutely wild finish to the game that saw both of Colorado’s big stars, Sanders and Hunter, get their fingerprints on the two biggest plays of the game and lift the Buffaloes to 3-1 on the season.

Nicki Minaj Viciously Slammed Steve Stoute After He Refuted Her Claim About Deal With Jay-Z’s Former Streaming Platform Tidal

Apparently, Nicki Minaj’s tension with Jay-Z runs much deeper than most initial thought. After Kendrick Lamar was announced as the Apple Music Super Bowl 2025 Halftime Show headliner, the “FTCU” rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) to blast Jay-Z for having a hand in “snubbing” Lil Wayne.

According to Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z never paid her for their business deal involving his former streaming platform, Tidal. Yesterday (September 20), during an appearance on The Pivot Podcast, record executive Steve Stoute claimed that wasn’t the full story as she “never signed the paperwork” sent to her. Now, Nicki Minaj has slammed Steve Stoute for inserting himself into the matter while providing more details about the highly publicized deal.

“Every day a new man pushing 60 years of age gets fingered in the bussy then made to come on this internet & lie on me,” she wrote. “God is in control. Bookmark this. I’d advise y’all to never mention my name again.”

She then shared insight regarding reports that she received a payment after the streamer was purchased. “I received a call advising Tidal was sold, and they made no money on the deal so all they could offer me was a million dollars,” she wrote. “But wait, there’s more. The lawyer advised that Desirat advised him that I HAD TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT IN 24 HOURS IF I WANTED THE $1M or the ‘offer’ was off the table. Listen to the end of “Fractions” for what my response was.”

Nicki also reposted a clip (viewable here) of Cam’Ron and Mase where they made a similar claim about reports that they entered a partnership with Fanatics, another venture linked to Jay-Z.
