He follows in the footsteps of Carpenter, Hatsune Miku (Season 7), Snoop Dogg (Season 6), Karol G (Season 5), Metallica (Season 4), Billie Eilish (Season 3), Lady Gaga (Season 2), and The Weeknd (Season 1), as Variety notes.

Two of Mars’ recent collaborative hits — “Die With A Smile” with Lady Gaga and “APT.” with Rosé” — will also be available as Jam Tracks.
The Season 9 Music Pass will also feature the Die With A Smile Bruno Outfit, which is based on his look from the “Die With A Smile” video.

We’re still reeling from last week’s loss of funk legend Sly Stone, who suffered from a prolonged battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It’s hard to even capture in words how profound and impactful his musical legacy is. He was simply a genius and he built a massive, enchanting catalog that inspired so many, including the hip-hop nation.
Sampling Sly was like a right of passage for many MCs in the late ’80s and early ’90s. I grew up learning about Sly’s music from the way my favorite rappers re-imagined his tunes. So, it’s only right for me to share some of my choices that connect Sly with the culture that raised me. The funk has no boundaries. Safe travels, Mr. Stone.
Back in 2013, SZA and Lizzo were in much different places than they are now. SZA was still self-releasing EPs and not yet a TDE artist, while Lizzo was still years away from her 2019 mainstream breakthrough. Pre-fame, though, the two managed to find each other and they’ve been friends ever since. In a new Interview conversation with Chappell Roan, SZA explained how their bond came to be.
After Roan asked SZA if she finds it easier to make friends now than in earlier in her life, and SZA responded, “Yesterday, I spoke to this girl, and she was talking about a new friend she made in Vegas. I couldn’t believe that she was out making new friends, because, while I love meeting new people, I’ve never tried to actively make a friend. It’s more so that I’m oddly drawn to this one person, and I can’t stop contacting them. And if they feel the same, then we be hanging out. But if I think about it consciously, I might even have a fear of making new friends. When I’m in a great mood, I’m hella personable. But at the same time, I don’t know. It’s weird.”
She continued:
“Me and Lizzo, we’ve been friends since, like, 2013, but it was very organic and very random. One day we were on the same tour, and I was like, ‘We’re about to drive out to Lake Michigan, do you want to come?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, let’s go.’ And then we just got drunk and hung out, and we kept doing that, and then our lives and careers progressed, and we kept talking and hanging out. The other day, I went over to her house. My tummy was hurting because I ate too much, and she gave me a muumuu, and we just laid in the yard and did nothing, and I was like, ‘Yeah, this is what the f*ck friendship is about.’”
After announcing their new album, Let God Sort Em Out, with “Ace Trumpets,” Clipse kick their promo into high gear with the opulent video for “So Be It,” their second single.
Over a stringent violin sample, the Thornton brothers unload a string of cavalier boasts and threats that reveal their intentions to bait “smoke,” and let the chips fall where they may. Of special note is the foreshortened third verse, which fans on social media are sure refers specifically to Kanye West, with whom Pusha had apparently fallen out after previously going to war with Drake on his behalf.
You cried in front of me, you died in front of me
Calabasas took your b*tch and your pride in front of me
Heard Utopia had moved right up the street
And her lip gloss was poppin’, she ain’t need you to eat
The ‘net gon’ call it the way that they see it
But I got the video, I can share and A.E. it
They wouldn’t believe it, but I can’t unsee it
Lucky I ain’t TMZ it, so be it, so be it

Last September, Cardi B announced the birth of her third child after keeping the pregnancy a secret for months. This week, Cardi shared the first photo of her daughter, Blossom Belle, on Instagram, along with new photos of Blossom’s older siblings Kulture and Wave. The pictures were apparently taken during a family pool day, with Cardi and Kulture wearing matching swimsuits and posing by the pool, while Wave kicks back in a pair of jean shorts and Timberland boots (New York to core). Cardi also commemorated her second daughter by getting a matched set of Louis Vuitton X Murakami luggage decked out in cherry blossoms. You can check out the post here.
Now that she’s not pregnant anymore, Cardi claims her long-awaited sophomore project is “coming really, really soon.” However, progress on the album has been stalled due to features taking a long time, prompting her to explain, “I’m not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down. But it’s like, come on now! I need that! I need that right now! Helloooo! Y’all don’t want to miss this opportunity. I’ll sing this sh*t myself! But I really need y’all, and I need y’all to hurry up, and I love y’all. I feel like nobody want to miss being on this album.”
In a recent Therapuss interview, Addison Rae revealed she has plans to tour in support of her new album Addison, adding, “I do really like performing. Yeule previously said of the new album, “I wanted to bring homage to my life as a painter with this album. For me, [Polish artist Zdzisław Beksiński] portrays so beautifully, with utmost care, the entities that crawl through his dystopian, tranquil landscapes. The nature of painting as a medium is a reflection of my emotions, both violent and gentle. A fleeting moment of time in my life, transcribed with paint and trapped in time.”

As early as last year, some have accused Sabrina Carpenter of cultivating a “Lolita” image, based on the infamous Vladimir Nabokov book (and later film adaptations) of Lolita, which describes a sexual relationship between an adult man and an underage girl. The allegations got even more specific a few months ago, when some noticed major similarities between photos from a Carpenter photoshoot for W Magazine and scenes from a Lolita movie.
Now, Carpenter has finally chimed in. As spotted by Pop Base, Carpenter responded to a TikTok post highlighting the accusations, writing, “i’ve never seen this movie. it’s never been on my mood board and never would be.”
Carpenter recently addressed complaints about the sexuality of her live shows, saying, “It’s always so funny to me when people complain. They’re like, ‘All she does is sing about this.’ But those are the songs that you’ve made popular. Clearly you love sex. You’re obsessed with it. It’s in my show. There’s so many more moments than the ‘Juno’ positions, but those are the ones you post every night and comment on. I can’t control that. If you come to the show, you’ll [also] hear the ballads, you’ll hear the more introspective numbers. I find irony and humor in all of that, because it seems to be a recurring theme. I’m not upset about it, other than I feel mad pressure to be funny sometimes.”
Over the weekend, The Weeknd (heh) debuted his new merch collection in partnership with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Football Club. The centerpiece of the collection is a soccer jersey nodding to the singer’s ongoing After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour, which made its debut during PSG’s 4-0 FIFA Club World Cup win over Atlético Madrid at the Rose Bowl on June 15th. The limited-edition jersey bears PSG’s iconic home colors and reads “Paris Los Angeles XO” on the back. Here’s how you can get the merch collection:
– In-store at PSG House, 8175 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA
– At Paris Saint-Germain’s retail locations
The Paris Los Angeles XO jersey is currently sold out, but PSG promises more to come from the collaboration in the future.
The ongoing collaboration gives just one more reason we may not have seen the last of The Weeknd, despite the singer’s many proclamations that he’s retiring the persona after the promo cycle for his latest album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. For a while, there, it certainly seemed like he might be moving on; the companion film to the album billed its star by his real name, Abel Tesfaye, and he suggested multiple times that he might use that name in the future. But, hey, if the people want The Weeknd, he seems perfectly happy to keep giving them exactly what they’re asking for.
