A Song Taylor Swift And Ed Sheeran Wrote The First Day They Met Will Be On ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’

Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran have enjoyed a friendship for years now, so it was probably easy for Swift to get him to re-record his vocals for the new version of “Everything Has Changed” for Red (Taylor’s Version). That won’t be his only appearance on the re-recorded album, though, as there’s another song on which he features, titled “Run.” The track didn’t appear on the original version of Red, but it’s been around for a while, as Sheeran revealed that he and Swift wrote the song on the first day they met.

Today, Sheeran shared a video of him re-recording his “Everything Has Changed” vocals and wrote on Instagram, “The vinyl for Red (Taylor’s version) goes up for preorder today. Also presave on all platforms. Head to @taylorswift’s page for more details. Here’s a video of me rerecording my bit for a song you might know. There’s also a brand new song me and Taylor wrote the first day we met called ‘Run’ that’s out with the new version of the record, November 19th. Enjoy guys ! Was so fun reliving all of this x.”

It’s a busy time for both Swift and Sheeran. Swift has the impending release of Red (Taylor’s Version), while Sheeran recently announced his next album, =.

Ed Sheeran is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

An Intense ‘Battle For The Soul Of The Universe’ Has Begun In ‘The Morning Show’ Season 2 Trailer

Despite the cheery tune, the UBA team in Apple TV+’s Emmy award-winning series The Morning Show is anything but “so happy together.” Ahead of its debut on September 17, Apple has at long last released the trailer for the show’s second season — and things look more and grim and intense than ever before.

According to the trailer’s YouTube description, the series picks up after the “explosive events of season one,” and “finds The Morning Show team emerging from the wreckage of Alex (Aniston) and Bradley’s (Witherspoon) actions to a new UBA and a world in flux, where identity is everything and the chasm between who we present as and who we really are comes into play.”

So, what exactly does this mean for the team over at UBA? Based on the trailer, a whole lot of reestablishing company values and what it looks like following a powerful predator being ousted, as well as having some intense and much-needed conversations about systemic racism. If you couldn’t get enough of the drama, comedy, and scathing social commentary that made The Morning Show season one so well-received, it looks like you’re going to love season two.

In addition to Aniston and Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, Tom Irwin, and Marcia Gay Harden will all be reprising their roles in season two. While that list seems like more than enough star power already, there are also several new stars entering the battleground, such as Will Arnett, who will be playing Alex’s lawyer, Doug Klassen, Greta Lee who will portray Stella Bak, a Silicon Valley techie who has joined the UBA executive team, and Hasan Minhaj who will take on the role of new Morning Show team member Eric Nomani. Ruairi O’Connor, Holland Taylor, Tara Karsian, Valeria Golino, and Julianna Margulies are all also slated to star in the show.

Developed and run by Kerry Ehrin and executive produced by Michael Ellenberg as well as both Aniston and Witherspoon, The Morning Show‘s 10-episode second season will debut on Friday, September 17 on Apple TV+ with the first episode, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday.

Stan Van Gundy Will Reportedly Return To TNT As A Game Analyst

After one season back on the bench as the head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans, Stan Van Gundy is returning to the broadcast booth. His foray back into coaching in the NBA didn’t go as planned, as he seemed unable to connect with the young Pelicans as the New Orleans brass had hoped and was fired after his lone season in the Big Easy.

However, Van Gundy had a pretty comfortable backup plan should coaching not pan out, as he had become one of the best game analysts in the booth for the NBA on TNT, a gig he will reprise for this upcoming season, per Andrew Marchand of the New York Post. Van Gundy brought a sharp eye for the game and was less prone to hot take rants and lengthy tangents in his first stint with TNT, making him a favorite of many. Returning to TNT for game work (and NBA TV as a studio analyst) makes tons of sense for both parties, as Turner was already in need of a replacement for the departing Chris Webber.

Van Gundy worked primarily with Ian Eagle in his initial TNT run and one would expect those two to be paired again fairly often, but Turner may opt to run a more regular rotation of commentators and analysts next year as they enter their first season post-Marv Albert — Marchand notes they may not officially name a “top booth” for some time. In any case, Van Gundy’s return to game broadcasts is a win for NBA fans, as his easy insight into the game will be a welcome sight.

Paris Hilton Teases New Music Coming ‘Soon’ While Celebrating Her Debut Album’s 15-Year Anniversary

In the years since it was released, Paris Hilton‘s 2006 debut album, Paris, has enjoyed something of a cult-following/cultural renaissance. This is especially true of the last year, as “Stars Are Blind” earned a killer needle-drop in the candy-colored thriller Promising Young Woman. Anyway, today marks the 15th anniversary of Paris, and its author celebrated the milestone on Instagram, writing, “Happy 15th Anniversary to my debut studio album #Paris. Thank you to everyone who has supported these songs, and continue to listen to them today!”

Hilton also hinted at the possibility of new music, writing, “Making this album was so life-changing and I’m so proud of how these songs have transcended the years. Can’t wait to continue to make more music for all of you soon!”

Paris remains the only studio album Hilton has released, though she has stated in interviews that she’d enjoy releasing another. In the years since, she’s released a smattering of singles: “Good Time” featuring Lil Wayne in 2013, “Come Alive” in 2014, “High Off My Love” featuring Birdman in 2015, “I Need You” in 2018, “B.F.A.” and “Lone Wolves” in 2019, and “I Blame You” in 2020. All the way back in 2008, Hilton told Entertainment Weekly that she’d finished a “very dance” second album, but “I’m not sure which label I’m doing it with.”

The Rock surprised a group of tourists near his house and their reaction is pure joy

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gave some fans the surprise of their lives on Saturday when he pulled up beside a bus full of tourists near his home. The “Jungle Cruise” star rolled down his window and called to the group of tourists asking, “Hey you guys know where I can find The Rock?”

The topless bus exploded with screams and everyone had huge smiles on their faces. In Los Angeles, it’s rather common to run across the occasional celebrity, but for these folks from out of town, it was a massive shock. Given their excitement, it’s pretty clear they got their money’s worth.

The former pro wrestler turned actor chatted with the tourists for a few moments and gave them enough time to get a picture.

After greeting the crowd, he pulled away in his vehicle laughing, saying, “Ah well, that was fun. It was a good way to start off my Saturday.”

The Rock is one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood and lives an incredibly lavish lifestyle, but it’s good to see that he still has love for the fans who made it all happen. In a town where there are far too many entitled celebrities to count, it’s great to see someone enjoy the wonderfully blessed life they have.

“One of the cool parts of fame & my job ~ makin’ a few folks happy,” he captioned the post on Instagram.

Olivia Rodrigo Is Consumed By Pop Culture In Her Angsty ‘Brutal’ Video

Olivia Rodrigo continues basking in the success of her debut album, Sour. The album not only made her the first woman in 11 years to have her debut LP spend four weeks at No. 1, but her track “Drivers License” was the fastest song by solo female artist to achieve a billion streams on Spotify. Now continuing to hype up the release, Rodrigo shares a vibrant video to her fan-favorite song “Brutal.”

Isaiah Rashad Brings A Vivid Performance Of The Low-Key ‘HB2U’ To ‘A COLORS Show’

A COLORS Show is well-known for breaking new and international artists, mostly focusing on rising stars or favorites from places like Britain, France, and various African countries. Every so often, though, the show secures a performance from a big-name American star like Alicia Keys, Black Thought, or Smino. Today, Colors Studio shared an eye-popping performance from Isaiah Rashad, who played a relaxed rendition of his low-key The House Is Burning song, “HB2U.”

Decked out in a Fuschia ensemble, Rashad pops out against the electric yellow background as he croons and spits his surprisingly complex verses with well-practiced ease, barely even seeming to take a breath despite the densely packed, syllable-stacking lyrics. “HB2U” — an acronym for “Happy Birthday to You” — is one of the cornerstone pieces of his new album The House Is Burning, finding him conversing with himself to unpack his self-destructive behaviors as he reflects on getting older and hopes to grow wiser in proportion.

Isaiah was a recent guest on Uproxx’s People’s Party podcast, discussing his favorite rappers and recalling studying Outkast to master his flow.

Mike Lindell Is Nonsensically Vowing That A ‘Smoking Gun Of All Time’ About Voter Fraud Is Coming Soon

Despite his “Cyber Symposium” going down in flames earlier in the month, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is still charging full speed ahead with wild conspiracy theories that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump. In a decidedly dangerous move, Lindell is now making another claim about Dominion Voting Systems, which is probably not the best idea considering the software company’s billion-dollar lawsuit against Lindell was given the green light by a judge.

While stopping by Steve Bannon’s Real America Voice podcast, where Lindell has been doing most of his nonsensical ranting lately, the MyPillow CEO boldly claimed that there would soon be a “nationwide injunction” against Dominion that would completely prove the election was stolen. Via Raw Story:

“You guys, this is the smoking gun of all time,” the pillow executive claimed. “Dominion is caught red-handed.”

“One of the first things we’re going to be doing is we’re putting an injunction against Dominion,” he added. “It’s a nationwide injunction prohibiting Dominion from making any modifications to their voting systems that would destroy prior election data. That’s what they’re doing right now. They’re going across the great country and deleting stuff.”

According to Lindell, the injunction will happen by the end of the week. However, keep in mind that is this same man that said Trump would be reinstated by August 13. When that date came and went, Lindell shifted gears and now claims Trump will definitely, totally be reinstated by the end of the year. For real this time.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan ‘Fought’ Against A Brutal Callback To Glenn’s Death In ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 11 Premiere

It’s the rare breakup that worked out for both partners: The Walking Dead is one of the biggest shows on cable, and Steve Yeun is an Oscar nominee. But the Minari star’s character, Glenn (who was murdered by Negan in season seven), hasn’t been forgotten.

In Sunday’s season 11 premiere, “Acheron: Part I,” Maggie (Lauren Cohan) takes her group on an underground “death march,” and “you are the goddamned pied piper,” as Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) calls her. Tensions have always been high between the two — the whole “killing her husband” thing didn’t help matters — but they boil over when he makes a reference to Glenn. “Look, you all want to put your lives in her hands? Her head isn’t even in the game, because I’m in her head, living rent-free,” Negan says. “So, Maggie, me dying on your terms, it ain’t happening. So, whaddaya say? Let’s just get her done. Right here and right now. Because I am not going to let you drag me through the mud, filth, and slime to put me down like a dog. Like Glenn was.” Dang.

The only reason that Maggie doesn’t punch him in the face is because Daryl beats her to it (she would have done much worse if she knew what Negan would do to her later).

The line is a gut-punch callback to Glenn’s death, one that Dean Morgan fought against.

“I fought it! That’s the one line that I immediately called [showrunner Angela Kang] and I was like, ‘I can’t say it. I can’t f*cking bring up Glenn’s name here.’ And I was like, ‘Any goodwill that Negan has gotten on his side is going to go out the window the minute I say Glenn.’ I tried to nix the line completely,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “I didn’t think it was necessary. And I thought, for sure, they would let me change it.” The scene was filmed “three or four different ways,” but “then, of course, when I saw the cut, I was like, ‘Oh, f*ckers!’ They had to put it in,” Dean Morgan added.

The final episode of The Walking Dead still has 23 episodes to go. There’s plenty of time for Maggie to get her revenge.
