The Kid Laroi And Quavo ‘Slow It Down’ On Their Hedonistic New Single

Back in August, The Kid Laroi returned with the cocky single “Baby I’m Back,” following it up in October with “Aperol Spritz.” His latest single is the hedonistic “Slow It Down,” on which he put the request to pump the brakes to a paramour who has been going a little too hard of late. Built over an interpolation of Destiny’s Child’s “Independent Women, Part 1,” and featuring a pull from the hook of Juvenile’s 2003 hit “Slow Motion,” “Slow It Down” features a typically boastful verse from Quavo.

After Laroi notes that his newfound lover “moving too fast” in the wake of a few fly outs (hey, that’s just what happens when you go around love bombing these ladies, kid), Quavo backs him up but also maybe makes things worse after listing all the ways he can make her life more exciting. “Slow motion better than no motion,” he raps. “Shoppin’, drop a bag, I got the store closin’.” This leads to Laroi once again complaining, then explaining, “You’re moving too fast / I’m tryna make it last.”

It certainly seems like a new album from The Kid Laroi is on the way, but first, he’s one of the many artists set to appear on iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball Tour for 2024.

Juice WRLD Reunites With Nicki Minaj For A Redux Of His Breakout Hit With ‘AGATS2 (Insecure)’

Juice WRLD made his debut in 2018 with the breakout single “All Girls Are The Same,” which doubled as the lead single from his debut album Goodbye & Good Riddance. While its follow-up, “Lucid Dreams,” ultimately became the bigger song, “All Girls…” became a signature song for the Chicago emo rapper, and a staple of fans’ fondest memories of him upon his death in 2019.

The latest posthumous release from Juice revisits that all-important milestone, as Juice reunites with former tourmate Nicki Minaj for “AGATS2 (Insecure),” which is a sequel to his debut song. The two rappers trade verses both rapping and singing in their trademark styles over an airy beat from Louis Bell, best known as the producer for some of Post Malone’s biggest hits, such as “Sunflower,” “Rockstar,” and “Circles.”

Juice and Nicki were previously heard together on “Money,” from Young Thug’s 2023 album Business Is Business, while Nicki paid tribute to Juice during her a Billboard Women In Music Game Changer Award acceptance speech shortly after he passed.

Juice has also posthumously appeared on a handful of tracks in the past year or so, including “Lace It” with Benny Blanco and Eminem, and “Doomsday” with Cordae from Lyrical Lemonade’s All Is Yellow.

Jin’s Thrilling ‘Running Wild’ Video Is About A Boy, His Dog, And The End Of The World

The video for BTS member Jin’s new single “Running Wild” owes a lot of “last man on Earth” narratives like Will Smith’s I Am Legend. Like that esteemed cable classic, the “Running Wild” video finds its protagonist roaming an empty city with his dog, although transferring the action to sunny California and setting it to the upbeat bop certainly change the tone from “horror” to “comedy.” Of course, the video has to introduce some conflict, which it does via a similar twist to the clip for Zedd and Ariana Grande’s 2014 EDM hit “Break Free,” with a deadly meteor shower smashing up the city as Jin and his pup flee for some semblance of safety.

“Running Wild” appears on Jin’s newly released album, Happy, alongside “I’ll Be There,” “Another Level,” “Until It Reaches You,” and “Heart on the Window.” The album’s release makes Jin the final member of the band to drop his solo debut album. It’s meant to be a “genuine, heartwarming gesture that invites listeners to join him on a journey to find happiness, offering them a sense of strength and comfort in their day-to-day lives.”

Back in August, Jack White hit the road on an unofficial tour to promote his new album, No Name (which is what fans are calling it, since it seems not to have an actual title). At the time, the Detroit native joked(?) “we don’t know what to tell you but the tour already started.”

GloRilla And T-Pain Recount A Whirlwind Romance In Their Sweet ‘I Luv Her’ Video

GloRilla’s debut album, Glorious, is out now, and after supporting it with boisterous singles like “Hollon,” “Whatchu Kno About Me” with Sexyy Red, and “How I Look” with Megan Thee Stallion, Glo slows it down in her latest video for “I Luv Her” featuring T-Pain. The video also provides the long-awaited explanation of those fake baby bump photos from a few weeks ago with BMF actor Da’Vinchi.

In fact, the video opens with a pregnant GloRilla going into labor as her supportive man — played by Da’Vinchi, naturally — calls a ride to the hospital. Then, things flash back to their first meeting at a strip mall where Glo was apparently feeling a late-night hankering for some Chinese takeout from Wingnuts & Chopsticks in Atlanta. After exchanging numbers, their whirlwind romance proceeds takes off, as GloRilla narrates through the lyrics of the song and T-Pain sings the heartwarming hook.

Glo’s had a standout 2024, releasing not just one, but two projects; before she released Glorious, her mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang was a fan favorite, generating hits like “Wanna Be” with Megan Thee Stallion and “Yeah Glo!.” Meanwhile, if rumors of a joint album between Glo and Meg turn out to be true, their 2025 could be equally monumental. In the meantime, you can watch Glo’s “I Luv Her” video above.

Glorious is out now via CMG/Interscope. Find more information here.

Tate McRae Puts The Pedal To The Metal In Her Motorsport-Themed ‘2 Hands’ Video

Tate McRae’s new album, So Close To What, is coming soon, and her latest video gives another preview at what’s shaping up to be a high-energy collection of songs. In the motorsports-themed video for “2 Hands,” McRae dons a racing suit and whips through her suburban neighborhood on a milk run after finishing off the carton at home (use a glass, sister!). A series of cheeky subtitles and disclaimers runs along the lower third throughout, reflecting a fondness for foreign film (and concern for impressionable young fans — don’t try this at home, kids!).

The video ends with McRae and her dance team taking over a gas station to hit their moves — after all, the pop star did get her start as a dancer — as McRae tells the song’s addressee, “I want your two hands on me.” The lusty song certainly continues the unapologetic themes expressed in McRae’s “It’s OK I’m OK” video, suggesting that the newly announced album is going to stick to similar sexy subjects throughout.

The rest of Ms. McRae’s 2024 is looking quite busy, as she’s one of the artists booked to play New York’s Jingle Ball Festival, as well as finishing off the Oceania leg of her Think Later World Tour this month.

You can watch Tate McRae’s “2 Hands” video above.

So Close To What is out 2/21/2025 via RCA Records. Find more information here.

Matt Champion And Deb Never Detail The Ups And Downs Of Love With ‘Ash’

Matt Champion, formerly of Brockhampton and recently successful as a solo artist, has been expanding his list of collaborators lately. After working with Blackpink’s Jennie on “Slow Motion” earlier this year, he pairs up with the genre agnostic Deb Never on his new song, “Ash.” The tender song recounts the ups and downs of love, with the ending refrain summing up a floundering relationship as such: You made me laugh / And you made me cry… Why don’t you ask me out anymore?”

“Ash” appears on Champion’s EP Slint’s Favorite, which he has released over the past four weeks as an “extension” of his debut solo album, Mika’s Laundry. The project also includes “Faye,” “Hacker,” and “SPJ,” a string of mellow, but upbeat blends of pop, dance, and alt-rock.

Champion will be performing songs from Mika’s Laundry (and possibly, presumably, Slint’s Favorite) this Saturday, November 16, at Camp Flog Carnival in Los Angeles — his first time performing at the festival without Brockhampton. You can find set times for Flog Gnaw here.

Deb Never, meanwhile, recently released her single “Not In Love,” as she works on the follow-up to her 2021 debut, Where Have All The Flowers Gone?

Ice Spice Joins Eminem, Juice WRLD, And Snoop Dogg As The Newest ‘Fortnite’ Character Skin

The ever-popular multiplayer shooter Fortnite got a new, rap-related facelift today, as Shark Island was turned into Ice Isle in celebration of the addition of rapper Ice Spice as a playable character. Two Rap Princess skins are now available for purchase in the game’s store, inspired by her looks in the videos for “Deli” and Cash Cobain’s “Fisherrr (Remix).” She’s also got a themed Grappler and Rifle.

In an interview with Billboard about the new additions, Ice said she earned some “big sister cool points” from her younger siblings who play the game and said she’s “grateful to stand next to icons,” including Eminem and Snoop Dogg, who are also in the game. Also included in Chapter 2 Remix is the long-awaited debut of Juice WRLD. The rappers were included as part of the Chapter 2 Remix rollout, which kicked off with an event in New York City earlier this month and the initiative will continue through the month of November. You can see a recap video of the performance below.

Earlier this year, the game partnered with Don Toliver for a game mode inspired by his new album HardStone Psycho.

Drake May Have Melted Down Pharrell’s Old Chains But The Producer Wasn’t Bothered By It

Drake boasted about buying and melting down Pharrell Williams‘ old chains in a few recent songs, but Pharrell isn’t bothered by the gestures, calling them the actions of a “fan of music.” In a conversation with GQ, Pharrell was asked how he felt about Drake’s verses from songs like Travis Scott’s “Meltdown” and the Kendrick Lamar diss “Family Matters.”

Pharrell responded with a typically even-keeled answer, saying, “No, because I think beyond all of the on-goings, at the heart of all of it, he’s a fan of music. He’s a fan of the history of what it is, and I happen to be a part of that, and those artifacts are a part of it.” He said he was “cool” with Drake buying his chains and didn’t have any thoughts on what the Canadian star melting them down might mean about Drake’s feelings about him.

“I guess some things are not for me to understand,” he admitted. “When you let things go, a huge part of it is actually letting go. Not just of the physical item, but letting go of your connection to what it’s supposed to mean, or the memory. You’re literally letting them go. That was the purpose. It’s like when people sell something and they go, ‘I just want to make sure you take care of it because this is my baby.’ And I’m like, ‘No, no, no.’ This is not my baby. That’s why I’m letting it go.”

While some fans determined Drake’s actions and bars to be disrespectful toward Pharrell (“I melt down the chains that I bought from yo’ boss / Give a f*ck about all of that heritage sh*t” from “Meltdown” and “You wanna take up for Pharrell, then come get his legacy out of my house” from “Family Matters”), it seemed that Williams was merely collateral damage in Drake’s ongoing feuds with Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar — the only ones he is widely believed to have lost. Maybe his first step at making amends could be to mend fences with the Virginia hitmaker.

Cardi B ‘Came Out Of Pocket’ For Her Kamala Harris Rally Appearance: ‘I Didn’t Get Paid A Dollar’

Kamala Harris Campaigns Across Wisconsin In Final Days Of Campaign
Getty Image

Self-declared history and politics buff Cardi B went back on her vow to stay uninvolved in this year’s election, endorsing Kamala Harris after Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race. Although her preferred candidate didn’t win (and the future of the country looks undoubtedly bleak as a result), Cardi hasn’t backed down from online criticism of her endorsement, shutting down right wing grifter Candace Owens, who insinuated that her only reason for making the campaign rally appearance was getting paid by the Harris-Walz campaign.

“I didn’t get paid a dollar and that’s on my three!!” she shot back via Twitter (never calling it “X,” which is a dumb, horrid name). “I actually came out of pocket for glam and travel because it’s somewhere I wanted to be. Like please girl you know damn well I’ll argue you down about politics FOR FREE.”

It isn’t the first time Cardi has clapped back at Owens. In May, she shot down Owens’ disingenuous call to ban porn — although, she later realized that the engagement was only serving the wannabe commentator’s ends and deleted her responses. She’d likely be better served using that time to work on that long-awaited second album, which even she acknowledges has taken forever to finish.
