When Will Taylor Swift Announce ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version)?’

Taylor Swift

Last night (November 26), Swifties were convinced that Taylor Swift was going to announce the release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version). That didn’t end up happening, but something else major did: This morning, she revealed that her beloved The Eras Tour movie will soon be available to watch at home via renting on demand. That’s great news for fans, but that doesn’t resolve the Reputation situation.

When Will Taylor Swift Announce Reputation (Taylor’s Version)?

As aforementioned, the big expectation was that Swift’s latest re-recorded album would be announced yesterday. That didn’t prove to be the case, so now, it’s not really clear when Reputation (Taylor’s Version) will be officially announced. We can look at previous announcements for clues about when the Reputation news may arrive, though.

She announced Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in May this year, at the first of her Nashville tour dates. Then, in August, she announced 1989 (Taylor’s Version) at her final US concert of 2023, at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. Nashville is significant given it’s where Swift’s career got its start, and the LA show was the conclusion of her US tour dates this year. Both were special moments, so it would stand to reason that a Reputation announcement would similarly be tied to some sort of special event or place.

When or where, though, remains to be seen. Maybe she’ll announce on or around the December 13 VOD release of the Eras Tour movie? Perhaps it’ll be a Christmas or New Year’s Eve/Day reveal? Maybe she’ll announce it at one of her first concerts of 2024, in Tokyo in early February? It’s hard to say, but those are dates at least worth keeping an eye on.

The Best Live Music Performances On TV From The Past Week

The best musical performances from the past week of late-night TV include sets from Offset, Davido, The National, and more. Uproxx has the rundown below so you can catch up or relive your favorites. Here are the best live music performances on TV from the past week.

Offset & Don Toliver:

Fresh from the release of his second solo album, Set It Off, Offset stopped by 30 Rock to deliver a grooving performance of his song “Worth It” alongside Don Toliver on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. With the stage reflecting a summery beach setting in contrast to the actual weather outside, the set was much more appropriate for the upbeat single, which samples Busta Rhymes’ “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See.”

Davido:

Speaking of summery songs, there is perhaps no genre as full of them as Afrobeats. One of that genre’s biggest stars, Davido, also hit the Tonight Show stage for an exuberant performance, playing a medley of his songs “Feel” and “Unavailable,” flanked by a pair of joyous dancers and backed by a lustrous, brassy band.

The National:

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert is known for bringing in not just high-profile talent, but also some of the headiest. The National offered a prime example of this tendency with a moody performance of their song “Space Invader” from Laugh Track.

Alec Benjamin:

Rising star Alec Benjamin dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a soulful performance of “Different Kind Of Beautiful.” The introspective track was complemented by setting the stage as a cozy bedroom, complete with a record player, reading lamp, and even a laptop open to Pro Tools.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

When Will ‘Fargo’ Season 5, Episode 3 Come Out?

Fargo Season 5 Jon Hamm
FX

Fargo Season 5 dropped its two-episode premiere last week, and with it came a heaping helping of Jon Hamm‘s nipple-ring wearing sheriff, who’s not above showing his nude butt to FBI agents after a dip in the hot tub.

In Season 5, Hamm plays a Trump-loving sheriff who has some questionable views about how he enforces the law. This puts him in the path of Juno Temple‘s Dot, who’s up to her neck in debt and a past that won’t leave her alone.

In an act of desperation, Dot turns to her mother-in-law Lorraine Lyon (Jennifer Jason Leigh) for help, sparking a series of events that will entangle Hamm’s nipple rings in more than whatever he’s got in his sex trunk. (Yup, there’s a sex trunk.)

When Will ‘Fargo’ Season 5, Episode 3 Come Out?

Fargo Season 5 Episode 3 will air Tuesday, November 28 at 10 PM ET on FX. Episode 3 will also start streaming Wednesday, November 29 at 3 AM ET on Hulu.

Here’s the official synopsis:

The latest installment of Fargo is set in Minnesota and North Dakota, 2019. After an unexpected series of events lands “Dorothy ‘Dot’ Lyon” (Juno Temple) in hot water with the authorities, this seemingly typical Midwestern housewife is suddenly plunged back into a life she thought she had left behind.

Fargo Season Episodes 1 and 2 are available to stream on Hulu.

‘Frozen 3’: Everything To Know About The Upcoming Movie

Frozen
Disney

Frozen still rides high for Disney theme park rides around the globe, and the studio could always use a slam dunk, which will obviously happen with more of these movies. After all, 2013’s film raked in $1.3 billion globally, and 2019’s followup somehow did even better with $1.4 billion. So, is Frozen 3 on the way? Definitely.

Disney loves its secrecy, but some details have unfurled already.

Plot

Reports have flown into high gear, nearly two years after Jonathan Groff admitted that he had no ideal if a threequel was coming. He hoped so, and to the same degree as a third Mindhunter season on Netflix, but only one of these wishes is coming true, it seems.

No, there are no serial killers involved in the answer to Groff’s dreams, unless Frozen 3 takes a very different turn with a homicidal snowman, but to be more serious, it’s worth noting that Jennifer Lee, who directed and penned the first two movies, has spoken repeatedly on the subject. Lee revealed that she isn’t directing again (she’s already very busy as Disney Animation’s chief creative officer), but she has been working alongside the creative team, and she has been “blown away” so far.

That’s not all. During a recent panel, Lee also declared that the newest Frozen story has her “deeply excited… and it’s so epic it may not fit into just one film.” So… Frozen 4 as well? It sure sounds like it.

Disney CEO Bob Iger recently went on record to confirm that Frozen 4 is in likely the cards, too. Could it actually be the “second part” of sorts suggested by Lee. Those puzzle pieces are starting to fit together.

Cast

There seems to be no possible way that the third (and fourth) movie would be in the works without its former stars. So we can likely expect to see
Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, and Josh Gad as Olaf, although we will keep an eye on any supplemental casting news.

Release Date

This will take slight detective work. The first Frozen landed on Thanksgiving weekend in 2013, and Frozen 2 did the same in 2019. So, Disney will likely decide not to mess with a winning combination (families getting out of the house after feasting on too much pie, and theaters are one of the few places open, and with good results), so expect both Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 to keep the routine going. Business Insider discovered that Disney has already reserved two such dates on 2024 and 2025’s Thanksgiving weekends for a pair of “untitled Disney animation” movies. If the studio sticks with the six-year gap, that’d be 2025, but maybe viewers will get even luckier.

Trailer

Although there are fan-made “trailers” out there, Disney hasn’t dropped any visual teasers yet, but that’s likely high on the priority list to stoke more excitement. Until then, enjoy Bell and Gad laughing at their own bloopers, courtesy of Entertainment Tonight.

Keep your laces tightened for more Frozen 3 updates.

Taika Waititi Sounds Like He Didn’t Care About ‘Thor’ At All Before (Surprise!) Directing One Of The More Well-Received MCU Movies In Existence

Thor Ragnarok
Marvel

When Thor: Ragnarok arrived in 2017, it was a breath of fresh air for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The franchise was then 17 films deep and starting to creak under its own weight. On top of that, Chris Hemsworth’s solo films were not the strongest point following the tepid response to Thor: The Dark World. However, all of that changed when New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi delivered a wild, metal romp that reinvigorated the character.

While it seems like Waititi arrived at Marvel with a grand creative vision, the Next Goal Wins director recently revealed that working with Marvel was not on his to-do list. Waititi candidly admitted that he only took the job because both he and Marvel could have used it. Waititi needed the money and the studio needed to pull the Thor movies out of a tailspin.

“You know what? I had no interest in doing one of those films,” Waititi told the Smartless podcast via IndieWire. “It wasn’t on my plan for my career as an auteur. But I was poor and I’d just had a second child, and I thought, ‘You know what, this would be a great opportunity to feed these children.’”

“And ‘Thor,’ let’s face it — it was probably the least popular franchise. I never read ‘Thor’ comics as a kid. That was the comic I’d pick up and be like ‘Ugh.’ And then I did some research on it, and I read one ‘Thor’ comic or 18 pages, or however long they are.”

Waititi added that he took Marvel reaching out to him as a sign the franchise didn’t know where to go next.

“I think there was no place left for them to go with that,” Waititi said. “I thought, ‘Well, they’ve called me in, this is really the bottom of the barrel.’”

To the surprise of everyone, Thor: Ragnarok quickly earned its spot as one of the best MCU movies. However, Waititi’s follow-up, Thor: Love and Thunder, was… not as well-received. The director has already signaled that he won’t be back for Thor 5, and Chris Hemsworth has stated that he’s only interested in returning to the character if the tone is “drastically different.”

Thor: Ragnarok is available for streaming on Disney+.

Is Spotify Wrapped Coming Out Soon For 2023?

spotify logo
Getty Image

We’re approaching the end of 2023, which is kind of an up-and-down time for music fans. On one hand, new music releases slow down significantly, meaning there’s a lot less new stuff to enjoy for a few weeks. On the other hand, it’s around this time of year that Spotify unveils Spotify Wrapped, its annual, personalized rundown of its users’ listening habits.

Spotify hasn’t explicitly announced when this year’s Wrapped will become available, but here’s what we do know.

When Will Spotify Wrapped Be Released For 2023?

In a November 16 tweet, Spotify noted, “Wrapped is around the corner.” Indeed, precedent suggests that it truly is coming up. More specifically, it looks like Spotify users should be ready towards the end of November and start of December: Last year’s Wrapped was revealed on November 30, while the 2021 and 2020 editions arrived on December 1.

When Will Spotify Wrapped Stop Tracking For 2023?

Spotify previously noted that when it comes to the data used to generate Wrapped, only listening activity from January 1 to October 31 is taken into consideration. Now, though, it appears that is no longer the case: In response to a now-deleted tweet presumably about the Wrapped cut-off date, Spotify responded, “Hmm, that doesn’t sound right to us. Don’t worry, Wrapped is still counting past Oct. 31 [eyes emoji].” It has not been made clear exactly when the new cut-off is, but with Wrapped seemingly coming soon, it was likely at least weeks ago.

How Will I Be Able To See Spotify Wrapped?

When Wrapped is made available, Spotify usually makes it pretty obvious via its app on both mobile devices or computers, so finding it shouldn’t be an issue. If it is, though, try visiting spotify.com/wrapped.

How Long Is Spotify Wrapped Available?

Good question! Wrapped isn’t a permanently accessible feature, and while the end date isn’t information that’s officially available, some users have noted that it tends to disappear in early January, so about a month after it debuts.

Will Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ Movie Be Streaming On Netflix?

taylor swift
Getty Image

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour movie has only been out for a little over a month but it’s already one of the biggest movies of the year, pulling in nearly $93 million on its opening weekend. With its surprise songs and the opportunity for fans to relive the tour (or experience it for the first time if those ticket prices were just a little too high), fans were happy to attend multiple showings. And now that the superstar has announced the digital release date, they’ll be able to do so from the comfort of their own homes.

In a message on social media, Swift wrote, “Hi! Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home! Very happy to be able to tell you that the extended version of the film including ‘Wildest Dreams,’ ‘The Archer’ and ‘Long Live’ will be available to rent on demand in the US, Canada & additional countries to be announced soon starting on … you guessed it, December 13.”

However, for those hoping their Netflix subscription would be enough to catch the film, there’s some disappointing news: The Eras Tour is coming to VOD first, so you’ll have to rent or buy it on Apple, Prime, YouTube, or some other service if you want to watch it. That doesn’t necessarily preclude an eventual Netflix release, though. After all, most movies hit VOD weeks or even months ahead of streaming. Now, which streaming platform ultimately lands the movie remains to be seen.

Paul Rudd Really Did Not Enjoy His ‘Horrible’ Diet For The ‘Ant-Man’ Movies

paul rudd

Paul Rudd was named Sexiest Man Alive in 2021 (I do not acknowledge the new sexy man), but it took a lot of work to get there. And a lot of water. Rudd appeared on a recent episode of the Off Menu podcast, where he revealed his diet to play Scott Lang in Marvel‘s Ant-Man movies.

“When I was having to train for the Ant-Man movie, and I was on a very restrictive diet, my reward was sparkling water,” he said, according to CNN. “That’s how horrible that diet was. I was like, ‘Alright, I can have some sparkling water now, I’ve earned it.’ It wasn’t flavored, I wasn’t gonna go crazy.” That’s a lot of torture for one shirtless scene. He also ate “really boring food, every time, over and over again,” but “once you’re in it, it’s not too hard.”

Rudd joked that he “worked out harder” than his ripped MCU co-stars and would “eat better than everyone,” but “I looked worse than all of them. I had to work out all the time, eat perfectly, just to look kind of bad. Not even great.” At least it was for a movie everyone loves, right? Right…?

You can listen to the podcast below.
