Jack Harlow Is No. 1 And Christmas Is Coming Back Already On Spotify’s Latest Weekly Top Songs Chart

Streaming services have become the way the majority of fans consume the music they love these days, and Spotify is the clear leader in the streaming space. That makes their tracking data significant, and fortunately, the company maintains the terrific Spotify Charts website. Their Weekly Top Songs charts can serve as a useful complement to the Billboard Hot 100 and offer further insight into what music is currently making music fans move.

Take a look at the the top 10 songs on the latest Weekly Top Songs USA chart (for the tracking week ending November 23) below. Check out the full top 200 list here, and if you’re curious about what the entire world is listening to, find the Weekly Top Songs Global chart here.

10. Drake — “First Person Shooter” Feat. J. Cole

Drake has certainly put his stamp on the end of the year with both For All The Dogs and the Scary Hours edition, and the former is still doing well with two songs in this week’s top 10.

9. Brenda Lee — “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree

While recently holiday seasons have been all about Mariah Carey, it’s Brenda Lee who’s leading the way this time around: Her 1958 hit “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” climbed a whopping 26 spots from last week’s chart and finds itself a few spots ahead of this week’s No. 13, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

8. Doja Cat — “Agora Hills”

Doja is riding some long-running momentum right now: She dropped the “Agora Hills” video back in September, and two months later, the song still sits at No. 8 on the latest Spotify chart.

7. Noah Kahan — “Stick Season”

Kahan is having himself a great moment: In addition to his hit song “Stick Season,” it was just announced he’s headlining the 2024 Osheaga Festival.

6. Drake — “IDGAF” Feat. Yeat

Drake it used to chart accolades, but this is a major moment for Yeat, as “IDGAF” became his first top-10 single in October.

5. Mitski — “My Love Mine All Mine”

It was a pretty close race for spots No. 5 to 2: Mitski’s song had a hair under 8.1 million streams in the US, while the song in the No. 2 slot had just over 8.4 million plays.

4. Tate McRae — “Greedy”

While McRae’s hit hasn’t completely taken over the US yet, it has been No. 1 on the daily global Spotify chart for 17 days now and is currently on top of the global Weekly Top Songs chart.

3. Taylor Swift — “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)”

As the year comes to a close and the buzz around Swift’s recent releases starts to die down, the pop icon is starting to lose her grip on the Spotify charts, with just one song in this week’s top 10 (although No. 3 is certainly better than most artists could even dream on).

2. Zach Bryan — “I Remember Everything” Feat. Kacey Musgraves

Bryan and Musgraves’ collaboration has nearly reclaimed its peak at No. 1 after rising two spots from last week.

1. Jack Harlow — “Lovin On Me”

Harlow couldn’t quite grab No. 1 last week, but he did this week. This comes at a time when Harlow could use a win, after his widely criticized NFL Thanksgiving halftime performance.

Trump Allegedly Once Called Evangelicals ‘So-Called Christians’ Who Were ‘Real Pieces Of Sh*t’

Donald Trump
Getty Image

A key portion of Donald Trump’s base are evangelicals. Nevermind that they’ve thrown their support behind a twice-divorced trash mouth who’s allegedly slept with a porn star, isn’t much of a churchgoer, and can’t even hold a Bible right. They’ll almost certainly support him again in 2024. And they’ll almost certainly do it despite learning what he’s said about them in the past.

The Guardian has a new report on the forthcoming book The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory: American Evangelicals in an Age of Extremism, by The Atlantic’s Tim Alberta. No surprise that Trump plays a key part in it.

At one point it delves into the then-future president’s early, fumbling attempts to court the evangelical vote, namely when he appeared at Liberty University, which was co-founded by Jerry Falwell. When asked to name his favorite Bible verse, he said it was from “Two Corinthians.” Any Christian worth their salt knows one calls it “Second Corinthians.”

Per Alberta, Trump did not enjoy the laughter that resulted. Nor did he like that Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, wound up endorsing not him but Ted Cruz. That sent Trump off, Alberta writes:

“When Cruz’s allies began using the ‘Two Corinthians’ line to attack him in the final days before the Iowa caucuses, Trump told one Iowa Republican official, ‘You know, these so-called Christians hanging around with Ted are some real pieces of sh*t.’”

Was this was a one-off incident, Trump simply blowing off some steam in the heat of the moment? Not according to Alberta, who writes that “in private over the coming years”, Trump “would use even more colorful language to describe the evangelical community.”

Will this finally cause the evangelical community to ditch Trump, maybe support one of his 2024 rivals, perhaps even actual Christian Joe Biden? Oh probably not. They’ve made it this far and put up with so, so much that they’ll likely ride this one out to the end.

Good Luck Finding All Of Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition’ Instrumentals That He Just Released

drake for all the dogs
Getty Image

Drake’s For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition was crowned as “his best work in years” by Uproxx’s Aaron Williams, and Drake is spreading the wealth this holiday season by making the instrumentals for all six Scary Hours Edition (first announced as Scary Hours 3) available for download on his DrakeRelated website.

Earlier this week, Drake challenged all the rappers out there on his since-expired Instagram Story. “Dropping the instrumentals this week,” he wrote (as captured by Complex). “I wanna hear who’s barring up.”

Like he did during his It’s All A Blur Tour, Drake made this into a scavenger hunt his aforementioned website. Click on the area pointing toward the door of the animated mansion, which will take you into the “Studio.” Once inside, a version of the For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition album art is floating above the couch. Click it, and the instrumentals for “The Shoe Fits” will automatically download (for free).

The “El Chico Studio” is where you’ll find “Wick Man” instrumentals. “Red Button” is hidden in “The Lounge,” and “Stories About My Brother” is up in “Bedroom.” We won’t spoil all the fun. Go ahead and try to locate “Evil Ways” featuring J. Cole and “You Broke My Heart” on your own.

Beyoncé Made A Surprise Appearance During The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade Broadcast To Share A ‘Renaissance’ Movie Trailer

As Brandy and Jon Batiste put on their chippiest holiday cheer for the cameras during the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, one musician used the viewership to roll out something special to them. Although she was not present on one of the day’s overly decorated floats, Beyoncé made a surprise appearance during the broadcast by way of her latest Renaissance concert movie trailer.

“Time is my biggest obstacle,” Beyoncé says in the clip. “It’s impossible to not realize how fast it’s going when you’re looking through the eyes of your children.”

The opening scene is adorably captured by her youngest daughter, Rumi, who she shares with husband and fellow musician Jay-Z. As Rumi’s bit-sized voice can be heard in the trailer, that’s not the only cameo viewers will quickly identify.

As Beyoncé remarks, “I think about all of my heroes, and all that they endured,” Diana Ross graces the scene. In other moments, Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion, and each of the members of Destiny’s Child, past and present (Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LeToya Luckett, and LaTavia Roberson) are spotlighted.

Watch the full trailer for Beyoncé’s latest Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé trailer above.

Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé is slated to hit theaters on December 1. Find more information here.

The Organizer For Taylor Swift’s Brazilian ‘The Eras Tour’ Dates Is Being Investigated Following A Fan’s Death

On Friday, November 17, Taylor Swift performed her first of three The Eras Tour dates in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Ana Clara Benevides Machado, 23, was among the thousands of Swifties in attendance, and she tragically died. An official cause of death was not publicly confirmed. However, it was noted by fans in attendance that temperatures were dangerously high — causing Swift to postpone her November 18 concert — during an unprecedented heat wave in the city, and access to water was limited. Now, according to NBC News, event organizer T4F (Time For Fun) is under investigation.

“A spokesperson for the Civil Police Department of Rio De Janeiro said its consumer delegations department had launched an inquiry into ‘the crime of endangering the life and health’ of concertgoers,” NBC News relayed, along with a statement from Rio De Janeiro officials: “Event organizers will be called to testify, and other steps are underway to investigate the facts.”

On November 18, Time For Fun confirmed Benevides’ death in a statement describing that she had “felt unwell and was promptly attended to” at the on-site Estadio Nilton Santos medical center before being transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead after “almost an hour of medical care” (as translated from Portuguese to English).

Swift also acknowledged the unspeakable development with a heartfelt statement posted to her since-expired Instagram Story. She wrote, in part, “I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this. There’s very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young. I’m not going to be able to speak about this from stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it.” Swift then appeared to tribute Benevides with an emotional performance of “Bigger Than The Whole Sky” on Sunday night, November 19.

On Thursday, November 23, Time For Fun CEO Serafim Abreu spoke to the tragedy in a video posted to Instagram. NBC News translated a portion of his statement, noting that he apologized “to all who did not have the best possible experience” and admitted Time For Fun could have taken “alternative steps” in its approach to putting on The Eras Tour in Rio.

Swift’s final 2023 The Eras Tour shows are scheduled for tonight (November 24), Saturday night (November 25), and Sunday night (November 26) at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil. The unprecedented stadium tour will resume on February 7, 2024 in Tokyo, Japan.

Kali Uchis And Karol G’s Seductive ‘Labios Mordidos’ Video Involves Bikinis, An MMA Fight, And A Pool Party

Kali Uchis and Karol G told us this was coming, but it’s even better than we imagined. Last month, Uchis revealed the tracklist for her forthcoming album, Orquídeas, including “Labios Mordidos” featuring Karol G. At the 2023 Billboard Music Awards on November 19, Karol G performed a portion of the unreleased song, and earlier this week, Uchis confirmed its impending arrival.

This morning, November 24, “Labios Mordidos” is here in all its reggaeton glory. In the accompanying video, Karol G and Uchis pull up to a mansion in a chrome pink tour bus. They strut inside and lead a dance party, involving an indoor halfpipe and lots of bikinis. Around the one-minute mark, it cuts to Uchis singing in the middle of an octagon. She remains untouched and unfazed despite a full-blown MMA fight occurring around her.

The vibes are mellower out by the pool, where some women twerk and others splash in the pool. Uchis confidently delivers titillating lines like “Your girlfriend goes crazy when I arrive” and “Tonight, I’m a lesbian” (as translated from Spanish to English by Genius). By the end, Karol G and Uchis walk slowly away from a fiery explosion. Which, fitting.

“LABIOS MORDIDOS OUT NOW for your holidays ft @karolg,” Uchis captioned an Instagram video (roughly translated from Spanish to English). “thank you very much for being part of this project my beautiful queen and thank you to all the people that made this video possible with love and dedication.”

This January, Uchis shared her plan to release two albums — one primarily English and one primarily Spanish — in 2023. In early March, she dropped Red Moon In Venus, and she will hold up the second half of her promise on January 12, 2024 with the arrival of Orquídeas.

Watch the “Labios Mordidos” video above.

Orquídeas is out 1/12/2024 via Geffen Records. Find more information here.

If Jung Kook’s3D” single couldn’t get any more juicy, the BTS member has found a new way to build on the fantasy. In the original recording, Jung Kook partnered with Jack Harlow, but he aimed for an unexpected pop crossover on the remix. With his project, Golden, Jung Kook has secured his place in K-pop, so now he’s looking to dominate pop music with the help of the genre’s titan Justin Timberlake.

The pair come together for a glitzy mashup that no one saw coming. Timberlake added his sultry flair to the already irresistible track.

“Jung and JT on the main now / You can still find me in a drop-top / With the top down, but I got so many lanes now / And when I put it into six, and it clicks / All the tricks got you goin’ insane now, uh / I’ll reach through the screen, feel my touch, top up / While I’m watchin’ you rain down / Come with me, I’ll just call up the plane now / Now, let me fly you out to Seoul, Korea / I just wanna get into your soul like Aretha / I got the volume when you wanna get the beat up / ‘Cause it’s like 3D when we meet u,” sings Timberlake.

Is Bleachers’ ‘Hey Joe’ About Taylor Swift’s Ex Joe Alwyn?

taylor-swift-jack-antonoff-getty-full.jpg
Getty Image

Taylor Swift’s relationship with Joe Alwyn feels older than Travis Kelce’s recently resurfaced (and surprisingly wholesome) tweets from 2010 and 2011. But it was only this April when news broke of their then-shocking split. Alwyn, also known as William Bowery (if you know you know), was merely a remnant of past as soon as Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ 41-10 win over the Chicago Bears in support of Kelce on September 24. Swift firmly supplanted Alwyn when swapping out a presumed lyrical reference to the UK actor for a blatant shout-out to Kelce while performing “Karma” during her The Eras Tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 11.

So, with “Tayvis“/”Traylor” sweeping the globe, why are we talking about Joe Alwyn again? A simple misunderstanding.

Jack Antonoff, Bleachers leader and Swift confidante, harmlessly revealed the tracklist for Bleachers’ self-titled album due out on March 8, 2024, and people zoned in on “Hey Joe.” Because Antonoff is Swift’s closest collaborator, people quickly questioned whether the song is about Alwyn.

“There’s a community of people that will be preeetty disappointed when they find out it’s a meditation on my father and his friends walking the Ho Chi Minh trail in their 60s,” Antonoff said of “Hey Joe” in an interview with The Guardian published this morning, November 24.

Antonoff was Swift’s primary producer and co-songwriter on Midnights, her October 2022 album that earned her six nominations at the 2024 Grammys, including Album Of The Year. Antonoff is nominated for Producer Of The Year — Non Classical.

Bleachers is out 3/8/2024 via Dirty Hit. Find more information here.
