Cat owner put a first person camera on their collar and accidentally filled the world with delight

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a cat? To watch the world from less than a foot off the ground, seeing and hearing things humans completely miss, staring out the window for hours while contemplating one of your nine lives?

Well, thanks to one person, we need wonder no more—at least about what-they’re-seeing part.

The TikTok channel Mr. Kitters the Cat (@mr.kitters.the.cat) gives us a cat’s-eye view of the world with a camera attached to Mr. Kitters’ collar. And the result is an utterly delightful POV experience that takes us through the daily adventuring of the frisky feline as he wanders the yard.

In a video titled “Spicy cats,” which has more than 74 million views on TikTok, we begin with the cutest cat sneeze ever. Then we hear Mr. Kitters’ meow as we walk with him through the grass before the scene switches to a thrilling, yowling cat chase he witnesses across the yard (while tucking himself even more securely under the bush he’s in).

The best is seeing his kitty paws as he walks and then digs in the mulch. And there’s apparently something very exciting that needs to be pounced on right along a chain link fence.

Watch and enjoy:

The commenters made their delight known.

“I love how he saw the cat fight and was like that’s not my business today,” wrote one person.

“WHEN HE DIGS WITH HIS LIL PAWS,” declared another.

“People: Cats only meow at humans.” Mr Kitters -Meows at everything-” wrote another.

And of course, countless people responded simply to the sneeze with “Bless you.”

Mr. Kitters has other POV videos as well. This one demonstrates how chatty he is and shows his black cat buddy as well.

“What do you want?” “Nothing!” #fyp #cat #meow

It really sounds like he says, “Let me in,” doesn’t it?

And this “extreme sports” video is riveting.

It’s funny how something as simple as putting a camera around the neck of a cat can draw in tens of millions of people. We’re all so curious about the lives of the creatures we see every day, and the adorable quirkiness of cat behavior is a big part of why we keep them as companions in the first place. Seeing the world through their point of view is just one more way we can enjoy and learn about our pet friends.

Kitten named Duck, learns run on two feet and she looks like an adorable velociraptor

Babies are really adaptable. The same can be said for baby animals and it’s likely because they just don’t know any other way of life so they just go with it. But even knowing that, it’s still hard to imagine a kitten getting around with no front legs.

Cats essentially use everything from their whiskers to their tails to balance, so how would one walk without two of it’s four legs? The answer is, carefully at first. Duck is a kitten that had to have both of her front legs completely amputated after she was rescued and while she was wobbly at first, she quickly adapted.

Duck’s human, Cody shares her daily shenanigans on his Instagram page aptly named Purrasic Duck. But recently he told Duck’s story to The Dodo revealing her rescue story and the kitten’s quick moves. If you’re having a hard time picturing a two-legged cat on the run, it looks a lot like a furry velociraptor chasing a laser pointer.

“I ended up naming her Duck because she kinda waddled. She’d kinda take it slow, she waddled trying to figure out her balance,” Cody tells The Dodo.

Before long though, Duck was off to play with her much larger dog brothers. Her pug brother even offers her a little assistance in the face cleaning area since Duck doesn’t have paws to do it herself. No worries, she returns the favor by cleaning his face too. It’s an adorable relationship but if you want to see a furry velociraptor chase after cat toys, you’ll need to watch the video below.

Kroger’s new holiday ad is an unexpected tearjerker

Look, we know that commercials often take aim at our emotions. But certain commercials transcend clever marketing strategy and become something so much more human.

Apparently, a Kroger holiday ad, titled “Cuisine Exchange,” is one of those commercials.

“Cuisine Exchange” tells the story of a childless couple who choose to become hosts for foreign exchange students.

Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” plays in the background as their first student arrives— a young girl from Mexico named Valentina. The couple cook Valentina pozole, a Mexican stew, which instantly makes her feel more at home.

During Valentina’s stay, the household enjoys hot cocoa with marshmallows, chili peppers (with plenty of milk nearby in case of emergency) and tamales before she returns to Mexico.

More visits follow, and with them more comfort meals: a Japanese student with soba noodles, another from Denmark with aebleskiver, a classic Christmas treat, and a kid from Italy making panettone, just to name a few.

Photographs pile onto the fridge as the years go by. And now we see the wife, with a few more wrinkles and gray hairs, yearning to see those students once again.

This prompts the husband to surprise her with truly the most thoughtful gift. As they sit by the fire, a Christmas tree twinkling beside them, suddenly there’s a knock at the door. When the wife goes to open it, she is greeted by all the exchange students they’ve ever hosted, and they all share a feast of all their favorite meals.

The ad ends with an undeniably fitting tagline: “Food connects us all.”

Reactions to the ad have been emotional to say the least, but positive nonetheless.

“Not a Kroger ad making me SOB??? I’m going to bed. 😭,” one viewer wrote on X.

“cried over a Kroger ad it’s time to pack it up everybody,” another added.

Meanwhile on Youtube, several folks who had been hosts to exchange students noted how spot on the commercial was.

“This hits home,” one person wrote. “We had seven exchange students between when I was 5 and 19. Two of them stayed for an extra year and one of them even went to a college two hours away. I learned so much about them and their cultures and we always tried to make food from their home.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time Korger unleashed a holiday ad tearjerker. Just last year, the grocery brand had viewers sobbing with its “Magical Cookbook” spot, which wove similar themes of food bringing us back to precious memories.

Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to get us into our feels. Even something as simple as a quick commercial can remind us of how beautiful life really is. And that’s fine—we could all use a good cry now and then.

Pilot can hardly hold it together during heartfelt retirement speech on his final flight

After a remarkable journey of 32 years soaring through the skies with American Airlines, Captain Jeff Fell embarked on his very last flight from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Chicago. Before he took the jet into the clouds for the final time, he paused to share the moment with his passengers.

In a touching scene captured by passenger Justin Harrison, Captain Fell lovingly addresses the passengers, dedicating a few special words to “a group of really important people” who were sharing this memorable flight with him.

“They’re the majority of my family who’ve come along with me on my retirement flight,” he continued. “Thank you all for coming along with me tonight and celebrating this very memorable time in my life. I love all of you.”

Fell then fought back the tears as he thanked his “wonderful wife,” Julie, saying that she’s “the solid rock in our foundation in our lives and our marriage” and that he looks forward to spending the “next chapter” of their lives together.

The video struck a chord with people, earning over 3.3 million views in just 5 days.

After the video went viral, Harrison posted a follow-up confirming that Fell had received an honorable water cannon salute on the runway. As a sign of respect for retiring aviators, firefighting vehicles shoot plumes of water over the runway for the plane to travel under as it taxis down the runway.

Good luck Captain Fell wherever the next journey in your life takes you.

Who Is Adam Scott Playing In ‘Madame Web?’

Adam Scott Uncle Ben Madame Web
Sony Pictures

With the Madame Web trailer swinging around, Marvel fans are going nuts sifting through the first look at the Dakota Johnson-starring film. In addition to the title character, who’s played a pivotal role in the Spider-Man comics, the trailer also showcased Sydney Sweeney as Spider-Woman along with a sneak peek at Adam Scott’s character.

While the trailer offers very little info on Scott’s role, Marvel fans have already begun wildly speculating that the Parks and Recreation star is playing yet another Ben. In this case, Ben Parker, the ill-fated uncle to one Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man. As of this writing, IMDb has Scott listed as Ben Parker, but that casting has not been confirmed by Sony. Notably, IMDb has Emma Roberts‘ character listed as Mary Parker, who is Peter’s mother in the comics. That casting has also not been confirmed.

While it sure seems like Madame Web will have a strong connection to the Parker family, it may not be the same Parker family that includes Tom Holland‘s Peter and Marisa Tomei’s Aunt May. Madame Web is set in another reality, and the film may just be the biggest stab at bringing the Spider-Verse to live-action since fans got a glimpse of the possibilities in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“Meanwhile, in another universe…” In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures… if they can all survive a deadly present.

Madame Web opens in theaters on February 14.

Writer causes stir claiming that ‘intertwined’ and ‘paw’ hand-holding mean different things

When two people in a romantic relationship hold hands out in public, it symbolizes their connection to one another and shows the general public they are an item. “It feels good to hold hands with someone we know because it’s all about wanting to be close to them,” Toni Coleman, LCSW, a psychotherapist and relationship coach, told Women’s Health.

As with kissing and hugging, “research shows that touch, like holding hands, releases oxytocin, a neurotransmitter that gives you that feel-good buzz,” Coleman added.

However, according to writer and social media influencer Eli Rallo, hand-holding can mean many different things depending on how you do it. She used a recent photo of musician Taylor Swift and her new beau, football player Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, to demonstrate her point.

The couple was recently spotted in public with a tight interlocking grip. “I just want to make something abundantly clear: [intertwined finger hand holding] is something very different to [paw hand holding],” Rallo said.

Warning: Video contains mildly adult subject matter.

“[Intertwined] is giving ‘last night we said I love you for the first time now we can’t stop saying it,’ ‘we can’t keep our hands off each other,’ ‘we have both mutually agreed this is the greatest lay of our lives,’” Rallo continued.

“[Paw] is we hate each other, but we are still together because it is convenient.”

Rallo then went on to show some photos of Swift holding hands with different men, noting that she had an interlocking grip with her former boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal. “This leads me to believe two things, and this is a working thesis,” she continued. “Number one, hot men are always going to hold hands [with interlocked fingers]. Number two, men who are good in bed are always going to hold hands [with interlocked fingers].”

“You should never settle for one of these paw things,” she concluded.

Commenters on the video weren’t entirely on the same page with Rallo. Many say they choose the paw grip with their partners, not because of the lack of passion in their relationship but because it’s more comfortable.

“Intertwined fingers is awkward,” Keetinamobina wrote. “Sometimes the intertwined fingers thing is painful for some of us,” JSainte17 added.

While Tay noted that whether she “waffles” or pancakes” has to do with her relationship status. “I called interlocked hands waffle and the other one pancake—I must be waffled at all times—but if I’m mad, I pancake,” she wrote.

Even though Rallo got mixed reviews in the comments, body language experts agree with her.

Celebrity body language expert Karen Donaldson told Women’s Health that the interlocking grip symbolizes a heightened desire to be and stay connected. “This is a display of a strong and deep bond in the relationship,” Donaldson said.

Those who enjoy the firm “but not interlaced” palm-to-palm action may have feelings for one another that are less intense or unequal. “Depending on where you are in your relationship, this handhold style could be a protective grip. But most likely, the person doing the tighter hold is the dominant one in the relationship and is aiming to take charge,” says Donaldson.

“Or, if it’s a newer relationship, the couple may be finding a way to stay connected because they aren’t yet ready to interlace fingers,” movement pattern analyst Alison Henderson added.

Will YouTube Ban AI Videos?

youtube

YouTube is taking steps to introduce labels on videos, especially as Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly prevalent in visual media. In a new blog update, the video platform confirmed that while they won’t be banning AI usage, users will have to disclose when they do use it in videos within the “coming months.”

This would include music videos and songs, as well as “especially important” cases like election coverage or “content showing someone saying or doing something they didn’t actually do.”

“To address this concern, over the coming months, we’ll introduce updates that inform viewers when the content they’re seeing is synthetic,” YouTube’s statement read. “Specifically, we’ll require creators to disclose when they’ve created altered or synthetic content that is realistic, including using A.I. tools.”

They added, “When creators upload content, we will have new options for them to select to indicate that it contains realistic altered or synthetic material. For example, this could be an A.I.-generated video that realistically depicts an event that never happened, or content showing someone saying or doing something they didn’t actually do.”

A test example of the AI label is shown on the site, with an example noting something is “Altered or synthetic content,” even on YouTube Shorts.

Daniel Theis Agreed To A Buyout With The Pacers So He Can Sign With The Clippers

daniel theis

The Clippers latest loss to the Nuggets in Denver on Tuesday night highlighted one of the weak points of L.A.’s current roster construction, which is that with Mason Plumlee injured, they have just one big man in Ivica Zubac and have to play small an awful lot of the time.

Against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets, that proved to be a bit of a catastrophe, as Denver scored on every single possession (aside from one late turnover) in the final six minutes of the game, as Jokic dominated smaller opponents and picked apart double teams when the Clippers sent help. While L.A. has plenty of other issues with making their star quartet work together, they also have to figure out how to best balance their roster and adding another big man would help do that.

That help will likely be arriving fairly soon, as Shams Charania and Adrian Wojnarowski report the Pacers and Daniel Theis finalized a contract buyout that paves the way for the German big man to sign as the Clippers new backup center.

Theis has mostly been out of the rotation in Indiana, as he doesn’t exactly fit their up-tempo style and has appeared in one game for eight minutes of action. In L.A., he figures to be a backup for Zubac while Plumlee is out, and with James Harden already lobbying for more pick-and-roll actions, he figures to find himself paired with Harden some to try and give the former MVP more of the action he wants when on the floor.
