Tommy Tuberville used to be an award-winning college football coach. Today he’s best known for holding America’s military hostage during the Israel-Hamas conflict. The far right Alabama senator refuses to budge on hundreds of military promotions, including top officers in the Army and the Navy. His reason? He wants to change Pentagon abortion policy first. Even after fellow Republicans urged him to relent, he simply doubled down. So here’s old footage of Tuberville falling down some stairs cued to ‘80s solo Phil Collins.
Per The Big Lead, the footage — which one person mashed to the immortal drum explosion from Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” — dates from 2014, when Tuberville was head coach at the University of Cincinnati. It shows him eating crap while descending from a private airplane. To make it even more embarrassing, Tuberville was en route to the Military bowl, where Cincinnati lost to Virginia Tech, and badly.
The clip resurfaced this week, partly due to Tuberville’s congressional antics, partly because of his history of dragging Joe Biden for taking some spills. That’s why one of the first people to share it, one Jason Cooper, did so.
Old people fall all the time. Here’s 60 year old Tommy Tuberville falling down some stairs in 2014 before losing to UVA in… wait for it… the Military Bowl. https://t.co/MoSYxZNRaipic.twitter.com/pBOZ5HZ0eE
Hey, we all fall down sometimes. Most, though, don’t do what Donald Trump once did, which is walk weirdly on a ramp, because Biden’s the one who’s frail.
There are a lot of great hot sauces on shelves around the country. You can get hot sauce almost anywhere — grocers, mini-marts, gas stations, and even gift shops. There are entire shows and culinary empires built around the chili pepper-based condiment. There’s so much hot sauce out there (and a lot of it is dirt cheap) that you have to wonder whether it’s ever worth making at home.
We wondered that too. So let’s all find out together.
For this exercise, I dug through very famous hot sauce recipes online — pulled from food blogs, TikTok, and Google. There were just … so many. Why is that, exactly? For one, there are so many different chili peppers that you can kind of go down an all-day rabbit hole there alone. Then you have fresh sauce, fermented sauces, vinegar-based, non-vinegar-based, sugar or no sugar, and so on until your head starts to spin.
Hopefully, the five recipes I picked will save you from a few hot sauce rabbit holes and some head-spinning. These recipes are all straightforward but I’m going to stop short of calling them all easy. Making your own hot sauce requires some prep and protection. Always wear gloves, folks. You can thank me later for that little tip.
After I made these sauces, I taste-tested them and then ranked them based on how deep, hot, and tasty they were. I used a plain Pringle as the blank canvas to test each sauce, in case you’re wondering. It was nice and neutral. Okay, let’s get into the thick of it and make some hot sauce!

Check Out These Other Recipes From Flavored For You:
Frank’s RedHot is one of the most popular hot sauces on the shelf these days (and the base for any decent buffalo wing sauce). That makes this a great place to start, as it’s familiar enough to be a control but also good enough to shine as an at-home recipe.
Ingredients:
18 fresh cayenne peppers (de-stemmed and de-seeded) or 1 oz. of dry arbol chilis
1.5 cups white vinegar
2 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
Sourcing fresh cayenne pepper is a pain in the ass. So if you’re not growing some in your backyard, feel free to replace them with dry arbol chilis, which you can get at any Mexican supermarket. Pre-soak them for about an hour in boiling water to reactivate them and you’re good to go.
What You’ll Need:
Small pot
Food processor (blender or immersion mixer)
Jar or bottle (for storage)
Cutting board
Kitchen knife
Gloves
Fine mesh sieve
Method:
Slice the stems off the chili peppers and slice in half length-wise. Use the tip of the knife to remove most of the seeds (you don’t have to remove them all).
Add all the ingredients to a small pot and bring to a rolling simmer for 20 to 25 minutes. Add a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water as needed if the vinegar boils off.
After 15 minutes of simmering, pour the contents of the pot into a food processor and process until the puree is thick and smooth.
Run the pureed sauce through a sieve and return to the hot pot to gently simmer for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cool completely and funnel into a jar or bottle (store in fridge).
Bottom Line:
Zach Johnston
This tastes like mild and very average hot sauce. There’s a touch of heat but nothing overly interesting about it. Given the effort to make this and the fact that a bottle of Frank’s RedHot costs about $3, I doubt I’ll do this ever again.
4. Fresh Jalapeño Hot Sauce
Zach Johnston
Let’s go green! The beauty here is that green jalapeño chili peppers tend not to be as hot, allowing for a much milder sauce. This recipe from Food & Wine hits that mild yet flavorful mark perfectly. The best part? This is a no-cook recipe — making it very fast/easy to execute at home. (And yes, a hot sauce can be raw or uncooked)
Ingredients:
6 oz. jalapeño chiles (de-stemmed and mostly de-seeded)
4 cilantro sprigs (roughly chopped)
2 green onions (roughly chopped)
2 garlic cloves (crushed)
0.5 cups distilled white vinegar
2 tbsp. white sugar
1 tbsp. fresh lime juice
1 tsp. kosher salt
All of these ingredients should be easy to find at any average grocery store.
What You’ll Need:
Food processor or blender
Cutting board
Kitchen knife
Gloves
Hand juicer
Method:
Add all the ingredients to the blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
Pour into a jar and store in the fridge.
Bottom Line:
Zach Johnston
This is very tasty. The only reason it’s lower on the list is that it feels less like a traditional hot sauce and more like a dip or side sauce. A salsa. It’s spicy, full of great acidic notes, and overall very fresh. This might be my overall favorite if I was looking for the “brightest” hot sauce.
3. Easy TikTok Hot Sauce Recipe
Zach Johnston
There are about a trillion hot sauce recipes on TikTok. You can find anything and everything. So let’s go “easy” and recreate a hot sauce recipe that’s not going to break the bank, cause us to travel to another country for ingredients, or take forever to execute.
Ingredients:
5 oz. Cayenne peppers (de-stemmed) or 1 oz. dried arbol chili peppers (pre-soaked in warm water for an hour)
1 habanero pepper (de-stemmed)
1.25 cups water
0.75 cup white vinegar
1 tsp. kosher salt
1 garlic clove
0.5 tsp. garlic powder
0.5 tsp. onion powder
Again, it might be hard to find fresh cayenne peppers out there. If you strike out, hit up a Mexican supermarket for a bag of dried arbols. It’s not exactly the same but it does get the job done.
What You’ll Need:
Saucepan or skillet
Food processor (blender or immersion mixer)
Fine mesh sieve
Bowl
Jar or bottle (for storage)
Cutting board
Kitchen knife
Gloves
Method:
Cut the stems from all the chili peppers. De-seed a few for a less intense heat. Or not.
Add all the ingredients to a saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes.
Pour the ingredients into a food processor and puree until smooth. Add more water and/or vinegar if you want a thinner sauce.
Run the sauce through a fine mesh sieve into a waiting bowl. Add salt and sugar to taste and store in a bottle or jar in the fridge.
Bottom Line:
Zach Johnston
This is a pretty good hot sauce. It didn’t feel average and actually tasted deeper than any $3 bottle from the grocery store.
Was it worth the effort? Maybe.
There are a lot of really good hot sauces on the shelf for $7-$10 that don’t take slicing peppers and infusing your house with chili pepper spice smell for an hour. Still, this is a good hot sauce. I’d dress my wings with it.
3. Roy Choi’s LocoL Korean Hot Sauce
Zach Johnston
Chefs Roy Choi and Daniel Patterson know their way around hot sauce. Their LocoL Korean-infused tomato-based hot sauce is their go-to for dipping, basting, and dressing all things you’d ever want to spice up.
Ingredients:
1 28-oz. can of whole peeled tomatoes (drained and crushed by hand)
1/2 fennel bulb (cored and diced)
2 cloves of garlic
1/8 cup vegetable oil
1/8 cup white wine vinegar
1/8 cup gochujang
Salt
This is another grocery list that should be pretty easy to fill at any grocery store. Even my very rural Krogers in Kentucky had gochujang on the shelf.
What You’ll Need:
Saucepan
Food processor (blender or immersion mixer)
Jar or bottle (for storage)
Cutting board
Kitchen knife
Method:
Heat the oil over medium heat and add the fennel and garlic with a big pinch of salt. Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring as needed, until the veg is very tender.
Add the vinegar and tomatoes and bring to a rolling simmer. Let simmer until water has evaporated (about 10 minutes).
Once cooked down, pour the mix into a food processor, add the gochujang, and blend until super smooth. Season with salt and store in a jar in the fridge.
Bottom Line:
Zach Johnston
This is just delicious. The onion adds a meaty texture and flavor to the tomato base that almost gets creamy. The gochujang adds a great layer of depth and a whisper of fermented funk that helps amp up the flavors.
I can’t wait to try this on everything! I’m cooking chicken in it, dipping tortilla chips in it, dropping some in my next bowl of ramen, everything!
1. Rick Bayless’ Habanero Hot Sauce
Zach Johnston
Say what you will about Rick Bayless, the man knows his way around a chili pepper. So there’s no better way to start your homemade hot sauce journey than by mastering one of his hot sauces.
Ingredients:
12 orange/yellow habanero chili pepper (de-stemmed)
6 cloves of garlic (do not peel)
0.5 cup carrots (diced)
0.5 cup white onion (diced)
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup water
2 tsp. salt
0.25 tsp. granulated sugar
This is another grocery list that’s filled at any decent grocery store. It’s also worth noting that for this recipe, I did de-seed about half of the habanero chilis. I wanted a “hot” but not “insane hot” hot sauce.
What You’ll Need:
Skillet
Small pot or saucepan
Food processor (blender or immersion mixer)
Jar or bottle (for storage)
Cutting board
Kitchen knife
Gloves
Method:
Heat a skillet on medium-high heat, add the garlic (still in the peel), and roast for a good 10 minutes. The peel might turn a dark color or even black, but that’s fine. Once the garlic is soft to the touch, remove from heat and set aside.
Cut the stems from the habanero and I like to de-seed at least half of them (this will determine how hot your sauce ends up being).
Put a small pot on medium heat and add the habaneros, carrots, onion, water, and vinegar, and bring to a slow simmer.
After 10 minutes of simmering the carrot should be very tender. Pour all the pot into a food processor and puree until very smooth. Add the salt and sugar and taste. Add more if needed.
Let cool in jars and store in the fridge.
Bottom Line:
Zach Johnston
This is exactly what you want in a homemade hot sauce. It’s thick and spicy with a killer kick that’s accented by sweetness, umami, meatiness, and brightness. It has everything while offering a serious kick. Plus it tastes clearly like the chili it was made from, adding to the depth of the flavor profile.
Final Thoughts on the Hot Sauce Recipes
Zach Johnston
So is making your own hot sauce worth it? I really don’t know. The Frank’s RedHot Copycat recipe, absolutely not. The effort is far too much on that one. That also kind of goes for the TikTok recipe. I like that sauce, but the effort is a lot for something you can grab off the shelf almost everywhere.
I do think the fresh green hot sauce was worth it, especially if you’re already cooking out in the backyard. I also really think the LocoL hot sauce and Rick Bayless’ hot sauce are worth the effort to make. Those are just great sauces that are also unique and give you something new and fresh. They also taste freaking good.
LeBron James was famously the best basketball prospect on earth by the time he was a sophomore in high school at St. Vincent-St. Mary, but James also had a love of football, which had basketball folks rather terrified he would get an injury that would derail his promising future in hoops.
Going into his junior year he was not going to play football again, but suddenly appeared in the second game of the season for the Irish and played all season to the surprise (and dismay) of many in the NBA world. Recently, new clips of LeBron dominating on the gridiron resurfaced and it became a discussion on ESPN’s NBA Today, with plenty of current NBA fans wondering why he played such a risky sport. Brian Windhorst explained the reason James played football that season was because of Aaliyah’s tragic death in a plane crash that gave James a new perspective on pursuing his passions.
“[LeBron James] was going to quit football after his sophomore year, then Aaliyah, one of his favorite singers, died in a plane crash. He decided he wasn’t going to live life scared.”
Brian Windhorst reveals why LeBron played football
“You know why he played football?” Windhorst said. “Because of Aaliyah. He was gonna stop playing after his sophomore year, and then Aaliyah, one of his favorite singers, died in that plane crash, and he decided that he was not gonna live his life being afraid. So, Aaliyah’s passing got him to come off the sidelines — he had skipped the start of his junior year, he missed the first game of the year. He joined the second game with no practice, no training camp, he played 12 games, had 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns, and was one of the great receivers in the history of the school.”
In case someone thinks this is revisionist history from Windy, James gave a quote about exactly this in Grant Wahl’s legendary 2002 Sports Illustrated cover story on James.
LeBron, of course, made it through the season mostly unharmed and has lived up to and exceeded the outrageous hype he had coming into the NBA. James has at times teased the idea of trying to play in the NFL, but was able to scratch that football itch enough in high school thanks in part to a mentality of pursuing his passions spurned on by a tragic loss in the music world.
Loving someone with a mental illness can be a difficult journey, especially if you’re not sure what’s helpful and what’s not.
Not only can mental illnesses be overwhelming for the person diagnosed but it can also be overwhelming for their partner. Every mental health diagnosis comes with its own set of challenges that require a unique approach but there are some basics that can be helpful to know.
One TikTok creator that goes by Milly Stone TV uploaded a video explaining how to be in a relationship with someone with a mental illness. Milly clarifies in the video that they have bipolar depression and is speaking from that perspective but what’s being said can apply to other mental illnesses.
Though the video was made for Mental Health Awareness Day, it’s useful information to have year round. In the caption, Milly explained what motivated them to share these tips.
“I saw someone said, ‘we don’t talk about being with someone with a mental disorder enough,’ so let me just give some input,” the caption reads.
Milly sits in the car with their laptop as they go into the relationship dos and don’ts, likely answering a lot of unspoken questions loved ones have.
“First and foremost understand, it’s not a personal attack on you. Communication is vital and empathy is important. Understand that they are not your responsibility,” they say bluntly. “A lot of people look at us and see us as liabilities that they gotta take on because they love us. No, I’m not your responsibility, I’m your partner, ok?”
If you love someone with a mental illness, Milly goes on to list even more tips in the video below.

It was a leisure-filled Sunday morning when Laurice Marier heard her doorbell ring and went to go answer it. But by the time she arrived at her front porch, all that was waiting for her was a Sadie Hawkins dance proposal.
The mystery sender named Katie clearly had a love for puns, writing, “I’ve BEAN meaning to ask you, wanna go to Sadies?” on a poster accompanied by four cans of beans and a bag of jellybeans. (How cute is that?)
Though the invite was clearly given to her by mistake, Marier told her local news outlet Fox KSTU that she had to try to reach the original sender.
“When I had crushes, or just people I was interested in, I often just took that very nervous step in trying to just reach out,” she told KSTU. “I just remember when it wasn’t successful how my heart just dropped, and I do not want that for Katie.”
In addition to calling nearby high schools, Marier also posted to her community Facebook Page in an attempt to find more information.
“This was left on my doorstep in the Traverse Mountain area yesterday but there is no one at my household who is Jr. High or High School age,” her post read. “I feel bad for Katie… does anyone know her?”
Though no one could provide Katie’s whereabouts, hundreds shared Marier’s concern.
“Asking someone to a dance is scary enough, but to not get an answer back and not know it was because it went to the wrong house would be so sad.Thank you for being a caring person!” one person wrote.
As of Oct 9, no one knows if Katie is aware that her sweet invite landed at the wrong address. But, as Marier wrote in an update, “it wasn’t because of the incredible effort of this community.”
She remains hopeful that because of the amount of widespread coverage the story has gotten, perhaps Katie is just “nervous of coming forward.” So the new plan is to wait a week, and if there is no response, Marier will “make a little chili and eat some jellybeans in her honor. 😊”
Earlier this year, actress Addison Timlin filed for divorce from The Bear and Shameless star Jeremy Allen White. The pair had been high school sweethearts and married for three years. They now share two daughters, and as everyone is aware, custody situations can get contentious. However, a point of conflict has apparently been nipped in the bud, according to TMZ, which reports that Addison and Jeremy will share joint physical and legal custody with a catch. In order to do so, Jeremy has agreed to frequent alcohol testing along with a support program.
Jeremy has agreed to be tested several (“up to five”) times per week in order to maintain custody, and it sounds like there is zero tolerance for slip-ups (“when he has custody”) in this agreement. From TMZ:
If Jeremy has a positive test for alcohol, he gets to retest again 15 minutes later to make sure the test is accurate.
The docs say Jeremy and Addison agreed to share joint physical and legal custody … but Jeremy’s custodial time has strings attached, and he’s also got to attend at least one Alcoholics Anonymous meeting a week, plus other therapy.
Those who have followed White’s career know that he portrayed the alcoholic Lip Gallagher on Shameless, and he subsequently shot to coveted actor status after The Bear‘s popular and acclaimed first season. He thanked Addison while accepting a Golden Globe, and she gushed over his performance. Following that success, White found himself as the sudden recipient of several A24 scripts. He will soon be seen in The Iron Claw, which is sure to feature another intense and heavy performance, but it sounds like on the personal front, he’s committed to keeping things steady and drama free.
Is the Daredevil reboot okay? On Monday, a report revealed that after reviewing some of the Disney+ version of the Netflix original, which includes some but not all of the original cast (star Charlie Cox included), Marvel brass didn’t like it. They even fired the show’s head writers and directors. Understandably, that’s got some worried about some behind-the-scenes mishegoss afoot, which could result in a greatly inferior product. But Vincent D’Onofrio, the resident Kingpin of both versions, says people need to chill.
Unless you really know what’s going there’s a chance you could be wrong about this statement. We are going to bring forward the best series we can. One we can be proud of. Have some trust my freind, trust.
After a Doubting Thomas took to X/Twitter to express some skepticism over the retooled Daredevil, D’Onofrio personally stepped in to mollify their concerns. “Unless you really know what’s going there’s a chance you could be wrong about this statement,” the actor wrote. “We are going to bring forward the best series we can. One we can be proud of. Have some trust my friend [sic], trust.”
After said skeptic apologized, likely not expecting one of the show’s stars to respond, D’Onofrio continued to calm their nerves.
Every cool project I’ve been involved with has evolved constantly during pre- production, production and post. It’s just reported on these days as if it’s big news. It’s not. It’s simple a bunch of creatives doing their best to get it right. It’s a constant in this business. I…
“Every cool project I’ve been involved with has evolved constantly during pre- production, production and post,” he wrote. “It’s just reported on these days as if it’s big news. It’s not. It’s simple a bunch of creatives doing their best to get it right. It’s a constant in this business. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Frankly I’d be worried if we were settling for less.”
Perhaps this Daredevil: Born Again business really is just some typical production-as-usual. Or maybe it’s more severe than that. The Hollywood Reporterreported that showrunners Matt Corman and Chris Ord had submitted a “legal procedural that did not resemble the Netflix version.” Cox didn’t even show up in his skin-tight Daredevil get-up until episode four out of an ambitious 18. So maybe D’Onofrio is right, and this is a mere Mulligan and everyone should keep on keepin’ on.
Miami rap duo City Girls is three years removed from the release of their last album, City On Lock. Since then, they haven’t lost any of their momentum while pursuing other projects, including solo singles and Yung Miami’s show Caresha Please. This month, they’ll build on the foundation they’ve already laid with their third studio album, RAW, which they announced during last night’s BET Hip-Hop Awards.
City Girls will release their new album R.A.W (Real A** Wh*res) next Friday, October 20.pic.twitter.com/5d7ZFCZy52
The album’s title is an acronym, which stands for “Real Ass Wh*res,” and its release date will be next Friday, October 20. They’ve released a steady stream of singles this year, including “Face Down,” “I Need A Thug,” and “Piñata,” and while none has been a runaway hit like “Act Up,” they’ve been enough to drive excitement among the girls’ hardcore day-one fans — which is usually all you need at times like these. Meanwhile, they also delivered a crowd-pleasing performance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, proving that demand for their services is still just as high as ever.
While fans have been waiting for a new album from JT and Yung Miami, they’ve both kept busy. Yung Miami has had her show on Revolt, while JT launched her No Bars Reform initiative in July.
RAW (Real Ass Wh*res) is due on 10/20 via Quality Control Music.
Last month, Apple officially released iOS 17 to most iPhone models around the world — most notably its newly released iPhone 15 line. Some of the most notable features with the new iOS update included customizable posters for contacts, live voicemail, offline Apple maps, transcripts for voice messages, and much more. Most of the updates that were originally announced back in June were released with the official iOS 17 release, but others like the new Journal app, have not been released yet. If you’re like me, you knew the Journal app was not going to be a part of the official iOS 17 release thanks to the developer beta that was released following the iOS 17 announcement in June.
This beta allows developers to get their hands on the update a few months early so they can make the necessary updates to their apps. It also allows regular folks like myself to enjoy the new features while also assuming the risks that come with downloading a beta. With that being said, Apple recently released iOS 17.1 beta 2 and iOS 17.1 beta 3, and here are the new features that can be found on them.
Beta 3
Radiation Resolution For iPhone Users In France
Apple, and specifically the iPhone 12, ran into an issue with regulations in France over the devices exceeding the country’s Specific Absorption Rate (“SAR”) limits. The surpassing of that limit caused the iPhone 12 to be banned in France so Apple issued a fix in the 17.1 beta 3 update. According to Apple’s release notes, the update will reduce “power when off-body on a static surface.” It adds, that the iPhone 12 will “no longer increase the allowed power when the off-body state is detected, such as while it is sitting on a table. As such, in coverage areas where cellular signal is low, this change in antenna transmit power may result in slightly lower cellular performance in certain off-body use cases. The vast majority of users are not expected to notice any impact.”
Credit Card Account Activity In Wallet App
Discover card holders can now connect their debit and credit card accounts to the Apple Wallet app where they can see recent activity and the current card balance for their account. This feature is only available for Discover cards and it remains to be seen if and when it will be available for other places like American Express, Chase, and Citi.
Action Button Update (iPhone 15 Pro And iPhone 15 Pro Max Only)
If a user’s iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max is in their pocket or has recently been in their pocket, the user will need to press and hold the action button for a bit longer for the desired action to trigger. This update was made to reduce the number of unintentional triggers that occur when the device is in a user’s pocket.
Wallet App Update
Apple acknowledged an issue with the Wallet app where it may crash on launch for users on iOS 17.1 beta 1 and 2 once beta 3 was released. Apple says the workaround for this is to upgrade the device to iOS 17.1 beta 3.
Power Consumption Issue Tied To Apple Watch On watchOS 10.1
Many users complained of increased power consumption of an iPhone on iOS 17 that was connected to an Apple Watch running on watchOS 10.1. Apple has now corrected this issue to lower the amount of power used by an iPhone.
Beta 2
StandBy Display Update
There are new options in the StandBy section in the Settings app which allows you to customize when the display turns off. The display can turn off automatically, after 20 seconds, or never based on the option that is selected.
Ringtones Update
iOS 17 introduced a slew of new ringtones for iPhone models, but with iOS 17.1 beta 1, they were all removed. Thankfully, all of the new ringtones were placed back in the ringtone section.
80% Charging Limit Update
For iPhone 15 models, Apple introduced a new option in the battery section that would prevent a phone from going past 80% while charging. Unfortunately with iOS 17.1 beta 1, iPhone 15 models were still charging past 80% despite this option being toggled on. With iOS 17.1 beta 2, that fix is corrected. This option is only available on iPhone 15 model phones.
Apple Music Update
iOS 17.1 beta 1 introduced a new option to favorite songs, albums, and playlists in Apple Music. Favoriting a song, album, or playlist was supposed to send it to a specific place to find them. Now with iOS 17.1 beta 2, it’s easier to see your favorited items. It can be accessed in the song, album, or playlists section by tapping the button in the top right corner and selecting “Favorited.”
AirDrop Update
iPhones can now use cellular data to AirDrop items to another phone, something that was only possible over WiFi before iOS 17. Thanks to the upgrade, AirDrops can now happen even if two iPhones are out of range from each other.
Flashlight Update For Live Activities
Apple has now placed a flashlight symbol in the dynamic island of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models. This is to let users know when the device’s flashlight is on which is handy for situations where a user accidentally turns on their flashlight and has no idea they did.
Vanna White just secured her letter-turning job on Wheel of Fortune after an intense series of negotiations, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t eyeing up a successor.
With longtime host Pat Sajak getting ready to retire after this season, White opened up about the changes coming to the classic game show when new host Ryan Seacrest steps in. Most notably, White seemed to be teeing up her own replacement: Maggie Sajak.
The 28-year-old daughter of Wheel‘s outgoing host has already fill-in for White on a few occasions in addition to her role as the show’s social media correspondent. If something should happen, White is confident Maggie can get the job done.
“She’s been around it her whole life, so I think she can fill in for me for sure,” White told E! News:
The 66-year-old also noted that Pat’s signature charm has certainly “rubbed off” on Maggie, who turned letters on the puzzle board earlier this year when Vanna was a contestant on an episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. “She’s precious, she’s beautiful, she’s very good,” Vanna raved of Maggie. “I think she learned a lot from her father because he’s such a good interviewer.”
As for working with Seacrest, White is prepared for the change ahead, but fully admits it will be “really hard” after working with Sajak for 41 years. Fortunately, White already has a good feeling about Seacrest.
“He is a kind man. He is professional. He’s good at what he does. He likes to have fun,” White shared. “He even said to me, ‘I’m not trying to replace Pat by any means. I just want to go in and do a good job. So, that’s what he’s going to do and I think he’s going to be just fine.”
