Trump’s Most Delusional Followers Have A Plan To Get Him Elected If He’s Disqualified From Running For President In 2024

There’s a “powerful argument” to be made that Donald Trump should be ineligible to run for president. The 14th Amendment reads, in part, that “no person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President” if they “have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.” First off, people in the past loved to say “shall.” It was their version of adding “like” between every word. Also, this section of the amendment could apply to Trump for engaging in “insurrection or rebellion” on January 6th.

Trump acknowledged this possibility on Truth Social by ranting about communists, for some reason. “Almost all legal scholars have voiced opinions that the 14th Amendment has no legal basis or standing relative to the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election,” he wrote. “Like Election Interference, it is just another ‘trick’ being used by the Radical Left Communists, Marxists, and Fascists, to again steal an Election that their candidate, the WORST, MOST INCOMPETENT, & MOST CORRUPT President in U.S. history, is incapable of winning in a Free and Fair Election. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump’s most loyal followers — the same ones who have spent millions paying a lazy billionaire’s legal funds — are preparing for the worst if the 14th Amendment is invoked and the big man is blocked from running in 2024. According to Newsweek, the MAGA horde has “taken to X vowing they will still back him as a write-in candidate even if he is disqualified.”

Charles Downs, who writes for the Alex Jones-founded site National File, wrote, “A lot of Americans will write in Trump if he is illegally removed off the ballot. That being said, it’s more likely than not SCOTUS will block efforts to kick Trump off the ballot. In America the people, not the Deep State, choose the president.” Amy Kremer, co-founder of Women for Trump, posted a photo of the former president’s Georgia mugshot, adding: “If Trump is removed from the ballot, I will write him in.”

Some states are looking into making Trump ineligible, but it’s unlikely it will actually happen — which is good news for 2024 write-in candidate, The Joker. He’s got some big ideas if he becomes president, so let’s hear him out.

The USC Marching Band Delivered An Energetic Performance Of A Fan-Favorite Taylor Swift Song

Taylor Swift’s 2019 Lover track “Cruel Summer” has seen a massive resurgence this year — boosted both by The Eras Tour and TikTok. Now, the University Of Southern California (USC) marching band decided to join in on paying tribute to the track.

In a new video, the school’s band takes the crowd’s attention on the football field as they deliver a spot-on performance of the “Cruel Summer” instrumental. As they play, viewers can also hear lines like “Devils roll the dice / Angels roll their eyes” through the instruments as the band marches along.

“We hope you’re summer wasn’t cruel and you got to see @taylorswift13 in concert but, if not, here’s the next best thing,” the USC marching band account tweeted, before going on to add, “*Your, ugh.”

Fans are loving the video and the energy.

“You’ve hit the big time when a marching band covers you!” one person reacted.

Others who saw it are hoping that the band takes some other requests, including songs like “Back To December,” “Seven,” “Enchanted,” and more. For now, “Cruel Summer” is the favorite child of the moment, though, even as it continues to hold strong in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.

The Gaslight Anthem Sets Off ‘Little Fires’ With Their New Song Featuring Pup’s Stefan Babcock

Ahead of their upcoming album, History Books, The Gaslight Anthem has shared a new song from their first body of work in 10 years. Their latest offering is “Little Fires,” which was produced with the Grammy-winning Peter Katis at his Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, Connecticut. “Little Fires” draws back to The Gaslight Anthem’s early punk rock days, and features guest vocals from Pup’s Stefan Babcock.

“It seems like everywhere you go there are these little fires / You turn and hide it but I see you crack a little smile / You call for me and then you tell me I should go away / Do you just wanna burn and burn and burn and burn down?,” sings Gaslight Anthem vocalist Brian Fallon.

The Gaslight Anthem announced History Books back in July, and shared its title track upon this reveal. The song “History Books,” which is a collaboration with Bruce Springsteen, is a more heavy-hearted, emotionally-charged duet.

“‘Little Fires’ is like the opposite end of the spectrum from the frustration you feel in ‘History Books,’” said Fallon in a statement. “It’s an empowerment song, about refusing to play along with the kind of people who always seem to be throwing a grenade into the room for no particular reason.”

You can listen to “Little Fires” above.

History Books is out 10/27 via Rich Mahogany Recordings/Thirty Tigers. Find more information here.

Howard Stern Is Lamenting Not Being Invited To The Late Jimmy Buffett’s House, And He Thinks He Knows Why

With his show back from summer hiatus, Howard Stern paid tribute to the late Jimmy Buffett and the shock jock seemed to genuinely regret never getting a chance to hang out with the legendary musician. The two actually lived close to each other, but Buffett never extended an invitation to Stern, and he’s pretty sure he knows why.

“I think I didn’t meet him because probably I said like, sh*tty stuff about his music on the radio,” Stern said via Mediaite. “I guess he [maybe] took offense to that. I wasn’t a big parrot head. I mean, I don’t know. I don’t mean this in any disparaging way. He seems like a real nice guy. And anyone who can make a hit song I admire, but I wasn’t really into ‘Margaritaville.’ I guess, I don’t like it. You know, it doesn’t move me in the way that music normally does. It’s a catchy tune, though.”

According to Stern, he actually sat around hoping for a Buffet invite, and it just never came.

“I always thought I was going to run into that guy because he lives out by me,” Stern explained. “He knew a lot of the same people that I was hanging out with. And I was always waiting for an invite to Jimmy Buffett’s house because he invited a whole bunch of famous dudes and stuff that I knew.”

Of course, pondering over the lack of hanging with Buffet didn’t stop Stern from doing what he does best. Openly sharing his thoughts even if it’s not exactly the best time for them.

“The guy loved the outdoor life. He loved being outdoors. And guess what killed him? Skin cancer,” Stern said. “That’s f*cked up. He had a rare skin cancer.”

When Does ‘Loki’ Season 2 Come Out?

Two years ago, the Loki season finale broke a few hearts when Loki found himself all alone again. Not even his jet ski-loving bro Mobius recognized the famed trickster any longer. There are plenty of theories for why that’s the case, but until the season finally premieres, we gotta stay in suspense on whether we will see Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson unleashing their silver tongues at the same time again on the small screen.

When will that possibly happen? Season 2 of the Disney+ series is scheduled to debut on October 6. Until then, we can maybe hope for Ryan Reynolds to start flirting again with Miss Minutes on social media. As well, there’s a new trailer that promises (via Sylvie) that “everything is turning to sh*t,” which is quite something from Marvel Studios.

According to below synopsis, we can look forward to Loki still mulling over the idea of free will and lamenting his glorious purpose:

Loki Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous Multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

Disney+’s second Loki season premieres on October 6.

An Unreleased Ariana Grande Song Actually Made It Onto The Spotify Charts Before Getting Removed From The Platform

For the most part, the Spotify Daily Top Songs Philippines chart for September 4 seems pretty normal. Filipino rock band Lola Amour has the No. 1 spot with “Raining In Manila,” Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” is in the top five, and throughout the chart is a mix of favorite local songs and internationally recognized tunes.

What is peculiar, though, is the song in the final spot, No. 200: “But Just Before I Go, Theres Something You Should Know” by Adriana Venti. The Spotify Charts page lists the song’s release date as August 19, that it was released via YUH RECORDS, and that on the 4th, it was streamed 71,335 times in the Philippines.

The issue is that this is actually an unreleased Ariana Grande song (the name “Adriana Venti” is a big clue) called “Fantasize.” The single art was an edited version of a Grande photo, the original of which can be seen below. After the song’s big day, it was removed from Spotify.

Some Grande songs leaked recently and she addressed that earlier this year, saying in a video, “You guys have heard every bad song and bullsh*t demo that I’ve ever made. Hilarious. It’s impossible to keep things from you. You gotta take some swings and misses.”

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Do You Have To Watch ‘Top Boy: Summerhouse’ Before ‘Top Boy?’

In just a couple of days, the long-awaited return of Top Boy will finally happen as the show’s third and final season will debut in full on Netflix on September 7. The show returns after its second season, which debuted in March 2022, concluded with a shocking ending. (SPOILER INCOMING:) Jamie (played by Michael Ward) was ambushed at his home and ruthlessly killed by Gerard “Sully” Sullivan (played by Kane Robinson), and the aftermath of this is on everyone’s mind as season three’s debut nears.

The Top Boy experience began with Top Boy: Summerhouse, a show that is essentially a prequel to the current series. Through eight episodes across two seasons, viewers were introduced to main characters like Dushane, Sully, Dris, and Gem. With that being said, most of the names we know in the current Top Boy series were introduced at the show’s start in 2019. So, how important is Top Boy: Summerhouse to Top Boy?

Do You Have To Watch Top Boy: Summerhouse Before Top Boy?

While Top Boy presents a mostly new cast compared to Top Boy: Summerhouse, it is recommended that you watch Top Boy: Summerhouse before Top Boy. There is a lot of context in Summerhouse that makes it easier to understand Top Boy as the latter picks up six years after the former, a series that focused on Dushane and Sully’s earlier days as drug dealers in the Summerhouse estate. It’s through this watch that you’ll understand Dushane and Sully’s relationship better and the characteristics that contribute to the decisions that they eventually make as a duo and separately in Top Boy.

‘Top Boy’ season three debuts on Netflix on September 7 at 3am EST/12am PST. Seasons 1-2 of both ‘Top Boy’ and ‘Top Boy: Summerhouse’ are currently available to stream on Netflix.

Here Is The 2023 Manningcast Schedule For Monday Night Football

The Manningcast will make its return to ESPN2 for a third season, as Peyton and Eli Manning’s alternate broadcast with various guests from the sports and entertainment world quickly became a hit and spawned a number of similar broadcasts both on ESPN and other networks seeking similar success.

However, nothing has quite been able to replicate the Manningcast’s success, largely because the reason it works is the two hosts — oftentimes in spite of its format. The remote broadcast, with both brothers coming live from their respective homes and guests coming in from their own homes or hotel rooms, can be chaotic, with people talking over and stepping on one another trying to tell stories, ask questions, and also talk about what’s happening in the game. The strength of the broadcast, beyond when guests get real loose and start cussing, is when Peyton and Eli breakdown the game, as they provide truly unique insight into how quarterbacks view the game and give the best analysis of offensive football that you’ll see just about anywhere.

As always, the 2023 edition of the Manningcast will take place across 10 weeks, as the brothers don’t work a full season but just over half of ESPN’s broadcasts. Unsurprisingly, they’ll start Week 1 with Jets-Bills but won’t be back until Week 4 (Seahawks-Giants).

The Jets, Bills, and Chiefs will each be featured twice on Manningcast nights, with the 10th date the TBD Wild Card game on ESPN. The best game, at least on paper, is the Super Bowl rematch between the Eagles and Chiefs in Week 11.

Miley Cyrus Made The ‘Bangerz Tour’ So ‘Outlandish’ That She Had To ‘Pay For It All’ Herself

It’s been ten years since Miley Cyrus made headlines for her wild Bangerz era. However, as part of her continuing TikTok series in support of her “Used To Be Young” single, Cyrus has shared some of the backstory behind the moments.

In a recent upload, she discussed how extravagant she wanted The Bangerz Tour to be, but how she struggled to financially pull it off.

The Bangerz Tour was an investment in myself,” Cyrus explained. “A lot of these ideas were kind of so outlandish that no one really wanted to support me in making these pieces… So I had big puppets, oversized beds, I came out of my own face on my tongue.”

Working with the creative director Diane Martel, Cyrus pulled inspiration from movies like The Truman Show to lean into the dreamlike energy. She ended the show in a similar way to how the film ends. And she paid for it all out of pocket, as people thought she wouldn’t make any money from doing that for countless shows.

“I said there’s no one I would rather invest in than myself,” she added. “So I paid for it all to make it exactly what I thought I and the fans deserved.”

Check out the clip of Cyrus talking about The Bangerz Tour below.
