Jennifer Coolidge Could Have Been In ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania’ (But Could Wind Up In The MCU Eventually)

Jennifer Coolidge is more popular than she’s ever been now, and with good reason. She’s always been a welcome presence, but The White Lotus gave her the role she’s always deserved, albeit one she almost turned down. In fact, in an alternate timeline where the multiverse is real, there may be one where she popped up in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

In a new piece by The Hollywood Report (in a bit caught by The AV Club), credited Ant-Man 3 screenwriter Jeff Loveness revealed that at one point they were considering casting the Legally Blonde vet in a small role. She would have played Linda, a woman that Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym dated during the 30-year span when his wife (Michelle Pfeiffer) was trapped in the Quantum Realm.

“But Linda never made it, and Jennifer Coolidge, I don’t think she ever got a call,” Loveness said. He then joked,“We’ll save her for next time. I’m sure she’ll wind up in the MCU, sometime. She can be Doctor Doom.”

Coolidge, of course, probably doesn’t need Marvel. She’s doing just fine as she is. Sure enough, her White Lotus character, Tanya McQuoid, even inspired a legion of people dressed like her at Mardia Gras.

‘Dilbert’ Has Been Pulled From Newspapers In Multiple States After Author Scott Adams Went On A ‘Racist Rant’

Scott Adams, aka the guy who writes the Dilbert cartoons, has often expressed his kooky ideas. He even leaned Trumpward when the now-former president first eyed the White House. He turned on him late last year, but that didn’t mean an end to his bananas ideas. Indeed, on a recent episode of his daily YouTube show — which inexplicably average an hour in length — he went on a bizarre rant about Black people widely condemned as racist. Now his precious cartoon has been pulled from multiple newspapers.

As per Variety, Cleveland’s The Plain Dealer announced they were dropping the long-running office culture cartoon, which has been in print since 1989. They were not happy that Adams had called Black people a “hate group” and pleaded with white people to “get the f*ck away” from them.

“This is not a difficult decision,” wrote VP of content Chris Quinn. “We are not a home for those who espouse racism. We certainly do not want to provide them with financial support.” He continued, “Until we decide what to replace Dilbert with, you’ll likely see a gray box where it has been appearing.”

Quinn added that other newspapers owned by the same parent company, Advance Local, were dropping Adams’ strip as well, including papers in Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Alabama, Massachusetts, and Oregon.

Adams’ rant came on Wednesday, when he cited a survey in which nearly half of Black Americans polled disagreed with the statement “It’s okay to be white.” Mind you, the phrase was once part of a trolling campaign that the Anti-Defamation League deemed a “hate symbol.” That didn’t stop Adams from a strange rant.

“Based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from Black people. Just get the f*ck away,” Adams declared. “Wherever you have to go, just get away. Because there’s no fixing this. This can’t be fixed. So I don’t think it makes any sense as a white citizen of America to try to help Black citizens anymore. It doesn’t make sense. There’s no longer a rational impulse. So I’m going to back off on being helpful to Black America because it doesn’t seem like it pays off.”

The very online Adams has since responded to the criticism on his Twitter account, writing cryptic things like “I rest my case” and joking, “I just learned Cleveland has a newspaper.”

The Kings And Clippers Delivered An Instant Classic In The Second Highest Scoring NBA Game Ever

Late on a Friday night, the Kings defeated the Clippers in a double overtime thriller that etched their place in the NBA record books. The game ended 176-175, which is the second highest scoring total in NBA history finishing behind a Pistons-Nuggets game in 1983 that finished 186-184. This was a pivotal playoff seeding game for both teams as the Kings entered the contest in third place, while the Clippers sat in fourth place in the Western Conference.

The marquee players rose to the occasion in this shot-making classic. Kawhi Leonard tallied 44 points on 16-22 shooting only to be outdone by Malik Monk, who scored a career-high 45 points on 15-24 from the field.

In a game with 351 combined points, the box score was a field day for opportunities. Both the Kings and Clippers had seven of their players score in double digits. Los Angeles repeatedly took control of the game from in the second half and overtime periods with a flurry of scoring runs, but each time the Kings faced a deficit exceeding eight points they made a run to close the gap to one possession. De’Aaron Fox played a key role down the stretch scoring 42 points and creating all the clutch offense for the Kings in both the fourth quarter and the overtime periods.

This should have been a wonderful debut for Russell Westbrook in a Clippers uniform. He finished with 17 points and 14 assists on 7-of-13 shooting while scoring a basket to put the Clippers up by three points with just six seconds to go. However, the Kings drew up a beautiful play that allowed Fox to go baseline and kick a pass to Monk for a game-tying three that sent the game to overtime.

This was one of the most electrifying finishes to an NBA game in the last few years and that it was powered by this plucky Kings team made it all the more exciting. Fox and Monk both scoring over 40 points displayed why the duo were so coveted coming out of Kentucky in 2017. For those who did not believe in the Kings and the power of the beam, this performance was an altar call. Let’s hope these teams meet again in the playoffs.

One Of Lady Gaga’s Convicted Dog Thieves Is Reportedly Now Suing Her For $1.5 Million

TMZ is reporting that Jennifer McBride, the woman charged as an accessory to stealing Lady Gaga‘s French bulldogs, is now suing the singer. McBride is claiming that Gaga never paid the “no questions asked” amount of $500,000 she promised for the return of her dogs.

Now, McBride is asking that the court require Gaga to pay out $1.5 million — triple the amount of the initial reward. McBride claims to have returned the dogs to the LAPD Olympic Community station on February 26, two days after the theft of the dogs, however, she was charged after the fact in with receiving stolen property and being an accessory to the theft.

Meanwhile, L.A County Deputy District Attorney, Michele Hanisee, told the publication that McBride knew the dogs were stolen and sought to seek the reward.

Two of Gaga’s dogs were stolen on February 24, 2021, as TMZ reported, while Gaga was overseas in Italy filming House Of Gucci. Her dogs, Koji and Gustav, were stolen from her dog walker, Ryan Fischer, at gunpoint. A group of men pulled up in a car, jumped out and stole the two dogs and shot Fischer in the process.

At the time of the theft, McBride was allegedly dating the father of one of the men who stole the dogs. She was later sentenced to two years of probation after pleading no contest to one count of receiving stolen property.

Miley Cyrus Has Fans Seriously Speculating After She Dropped A Mysterious Website Countdown

Miley Cyrus fans discovered that the pop star put up a countdown timer on her website, which stops on Monday (February 27). However, it doesn’t say what exactly is coming, leading many theories to run rampant online.

After a fan account pointed out the clock, they asked what other fans thought it was for. Ideas were thrown out for a tracklist announcement for her forthcoming album, Endless Summer Vacation, an acapella version of her major hit lead single, “Flowers,” or even a tour announcement.

The song has spent time at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks, so it makes sense if she’d want to give back to the fans.

“Flowers is spending it’s 3rd week at #1 & as magical as this moment feels I know it doesn’t happen by chance,” Miley tweeted a few weeks ago. “This song & it’s success represents the power of YOU! This is your moment & it’s my honor to be the messenger.”

Most interestingly, there’s been speculation that Cyrus could bring on Bruno Mars for a remix of “Flowers,” as the song appeared to be a response to Mars’ “When I Was Your Man.”

“COLLAB OF THE DECADE I FEAR,” one fan wrote. Others repeatedly chimed in that “Miley is coming” in pure excitement. However, it’s still rumored, so the potential collab could still prove to be untrue.

Jack White And Woody Harrelson Aim To Unite The Country In Their New ‘Saturday Night Live’ Promo

After a three-week hiatus, Saturday Night Live is back this weekend. This Saturday, Woody Harrelson will host the show for the fifth time, as Jack White is set to perform. Harrelson’s appearance arrives shortly before the premiere of his upcoming show White House Plumbers on HBO.

In a promo clip ahead of this weekend’s show, Harrelson and White are seen with one of the show’s comedians, Chloe Fineman.

“Hi, I’m Woody Harrelson, and I will be hosting SNL this week, with musical guest, Jack White,” says Harrelson.

Fineman then expresses her excitement about having Harrelson on the show.

“I can’t wait, you’re the best, Woody,” says Fineman.

Harrelson then replies, “Am I? I mean, the musical guest is Jack White, wouldn’t the best host be Jack Black? You know, white, black? Yin, yang? I mean, I think it could really help bring America together.”

Despite this idea, Fineman reiterates that Harrelson is still obligated to host.

White steps in, and tells Fineman, “stop tearing this country apart.”

Harrelson then adds, “Thank you, Jack. ‘Bout time somebody stood up to her.”

Drake And 21 Savage Find Themselves At The Center Of A Heist In Their New ‘Spin Bout U’ Video

Drake and 21 Savage are still riding the highs of their critically-acclaimed collaborative album, Her Loss. Today (February 24), the duo has shared their new video for “Spin Bout U,” a fan favorite from the album.

In the video for the romantic anthem, 21 and Drake are seen spoiling their women on a luxurious yacht. Midway through, the beat slowly warps, as it is implied the two have been drugged. Shortly after, the rappers are tied up and a group of ladies make their way throughout the boat, grabbing jewels, guns, and more.

With plot twists and unpredictable turns throughout, the video is very cinematic, which marks another high point in the cannon of Drake and 21 Savage visuals. Which, if the rumors of an imminent retirement are true, makes for a hell of a way to go out.

These rumors were fueled by an interview Drake did with Lil Yachty for the latter’s FUTUREMOOD sunglasses brand.

“I think I’m at the point now where I just want to like… I feel like, maybe we talked about this the other day….” he said. “… but I feel like I’m kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit.”

Chance The Rapper Honors Historical Black Figures In His Second Visual For ‘Yah Know’

As Black History Month comes to an end, Chance The Rapper is reminding us of his inspirations and the moments that shaped our nation. Today (February 24), Chance has shared a second version of his visual for “Yah Know.” This one offers historical context to the songs and the people and moments to which he alludes in the lyrics.

Some of the notable lines on the song include “Blueprints in an unzipped file / Akwaaba, medaase / That’s the end of my speech / Tell ’em, ‘Spread the word from Osu to Kumasi’ / This for Dr. Kwame, Selassie and Nnamdi / Tell ’em, ‘Free the youth or we gon’ free the army’ / Pray no man can harm me, can’t no man can harm me.” The visual element juxtaposes these lines with images and footage of these people and moments.

In a recent interview with XXL, Chance detailed his upcoming album, Star Line Gallery, and noted that it will have a unique sound, which he says can’t be replicated.

“I don’t think it sounds like anybody else,” Chance said. “I actually know it doesn’t sound like anybody else. But it is very influenced by a culture and a lineage and a legacy that precedes me. You can expect it to be very Black. It’s not necessarily drenched in trauma or it doesn’t necessarily have that Black sense of humor. It’s really me and my travels, creating new friendships, getting better in my different art forms such as videography and cinematography. And it’s me just bearing witness to what I see and bearing who I am.”

You can watch the visual above.
