Bill O’Reilly Hopes Trump ‘Disappears’ Before The Midterm Elections Because Independent Voters Are So Disgusted By Him

Finally, Bill O’Reilly said something that the left can get on board with: He hopes that Donald Trump “disappears” before the midterm elections. Unfortunately, O’Reilly’s reason for wanting his “History Tour” pal/punching bag to go away is probably completely different from your own.

As Raw Story reports, O’Reilly chatted with conservative host Charlie Kirk on Monday to discuss the upcoming midterms, and how Trump could best serve his fellow Republicans. The former Fox News host was pretty decisive in his answer: “I hope he disappears,” he said, “because it doesn’t do Republicans any good to have Donald Trump around the midterm elections.”

One could argue that it’s doesn’t do any good to have Trump around any elections, but that’s not the point O’Reilly was trying to make. If the no-spin maestro were to predict how the midterms will play out, he sees the “bogus” January 6th Committee releasing their findings just weeks before November 8th.

“It’s the independent [voters] that always make the difference now,” O’Reilly said. “A lot of them don’t like Trump. And the more Trump is in the news cycle, the less the Biden administration [and] Democratic Party’s failures are focused on. So, if I were Trump, I’d, you know, be down in Honduras or something and take a couple of weeks. Get out of the cycle!”

Someone may want to check whether Honduras is on Trump’s list of sh*thole countries before booking that flight.

‘Cobra Kai’ Caused Ralph Macchio To Feel Differently About His Least Favorite Movie Of ‘The Karate Kid’ O.G. Trilogy

While the Cobra Kai junkies await concrete news about Season 6 from Netflix, Ralph Macchio’s preparing to release his memoir, aptly titled Waxing On. I’ve read the book, and it takes a deeper dive than one would ever expect into the inner workings of The Karate Kid franchise and comes up with a handful of great stories and revelations, along with filling in some (minor) regrets that Ralph has harbored over the years.

On the subject of repairing the past, Ralph spoke with US Weekly about a variety of subjects, including how his “never, ever my favorite” original The Karate Kid movie has now redeemed itself in a way. That’d be Part III, which introduced the franchise’s most masochistic sensei: the cackling and toxic-sludge dealing Terry Silver. He went full karate supervillain in Season 5, and here’s what Ralph said to US Weekly while also talking about how there’s more to explore with future seasons:

“There’s more meat on the bones there. But it’s gotta be entertaining and organic and I think there’s plenty of places to go every season. Whether you bring in Tamlyn Tomita as Kumiko [in season 5 or] Elizabeth Shue in season 3. You [also] have Thomas Ian Griffith — what a great job he’s doing. Karate Kid 3 was never, ever my favorite of those three movies. Now it’s bearing such great fruit and storytelling and refined versions of characters.”

For sure, the great Karate Kid III antagonist gave us a great bad guy for two seasons of Cobra Kai. Silver’s arc culminated with a cinematic, poolside sword fight with Karate Kid III antagonist Chozen, and in the end, all had flesh wounds. It sure looks like we’ve seen the end of Terry, but hopefully, we’ll get a lot more Chozen and several more seasons because those Miyagi-do “roots are strong.”

Macchio’s Waxing On arrives in book stores on October 18.

Red Velvet’s Seulgi Gives ’28 Reasons’ To Love Her Dark Side In Her Solo Debut

Nearly a month since the announcement of her long-awaited, much-anticipated solo debut, and one of the major K-pop releases of the month, Seulgi drops her first EP and single “28 Reasons.”

Just like the first trailer to her solo debut, Seulgi channels her artistic side in the music video. As a film enthusiast who enjoys cryptic and horror-themed movies, the Red Velvet member goes beyond the “velvet” (dark and mature) image but remains parallel to characters she’s played in past music videos. (Think of it as the same lane as her sub-unit with fellow member Irene and their song “Monster.”)

The debut single dives into the psyche of being someone who embodies the toxic side of love. Seulgi’s alter-ego enjoys playing both good and evil throughout the pop dance track: “I will show you heaven/I’m not the devil/Hate me as you want I don’t care/The more you break the more you’ll want me/I swear I need you, my desires are growing/I’m playing with you like a kid/Hovering like your shadow and whispering to you/I’m your light and your darkness….”

“28 Reasons” was majorly produced by SM Entertainment’s in-house producer Yoo Young Jin, while it was co-written by Jeon Jieun, January 8th (lalala studio), and Cho Yunkyung. The EP of the same name consists of six tracks including a song featuring rapper BE’O (“Bad Boy, Sad Girl”).

Find the full tracklist for 28 Reasons below.
1. “28 Reasons”
2. “Dead Man Runnin’”
3. “Bad Boy, Sad Girl (Featuring BE’O)”
4. “Anywhere But Home”
5. “Los Angeles”
6. “Crown”

It Looks Like Migos Really Is Officially A Duo Now

For months, fans have speculated about Migos’ status as a trio as Quavo and Takeoff promote their upcoming album, Only Built For Infinity Links, at the same time as Offset pushes his own solo project. It didn’t help that all three members of the group avoided the topic in interviews, nor that it was reported that Offset had filed a lawsuit against the trio’s label, Quality Control Music, when it tried to claim ownership of his solo single, “54321.”

But that silence has been broken. Quavo and Takeoff appeared recently on DJ Scream’s Big Facts podcast, where they finally addressed the breakup rumors, albeit vaguely. Unfortunately, their responses didn’t give any good news to fans who might have been hoping for a reconciliation. As Quavo said, “I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo because we just came from a loyal family,” suggesting that there’s a feeling that Offset has been disloyal. “Sometimes, when shit don’t work out, it ain’t meant to be,” he said.

Meanwhile, Takeoff suggested that it’s up to a higher power. “”We don’t know all answers,” he said. “God know. So we pray a lot. And we tell him, whatever, whatever ain’t right, however you supposed to see it fit, you put it back together or however you do it. Only time will tell. We always family, now. Ain’t nothing gon’ change.”

On Top Of Being A TV Quack, Dr. Oz Was Reportedly Involved In The Killing Of Hundreds Of Dogs In Medical Tests

Dr. Mehmet Oz has been called a lot of nasty things over the course of his career as a television personality-turned-aspiring politician: quack, creep, serial testicle fondler, incest advocate, and New Jerseyite being just a few of them. But “dog murderer” is the label that’s likely to inflict the most harm on Oz and his chances of winning a senate seat in a state he doesn’t inhabit.

While Dr. Oz’s tenure as a daytime TV talk show host made him a target of the scientific community for his tendency to make misleading or outright false medical claims, he was indeed an active part of the very real scientific community for many years via the Columbia University Institute of Comparative Medicine. And after an investigation into the work he did there, Jezebel found that the aspiring senator was responsible for brutally killing more than 325 dogs, including an entire litter of puppies.

With rumors of the senatorial candidate’s medical experiments being talked about on social media, Jezebel dug into the details of 75 studies published by Dr. Oz between 1989 and 2010 and learned that the truth about those internet rumors is actually much more disturbing. As Kylie Cheung wrote for the site:

Oz, the New Jersey resident who’s currently running for U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania, was a “principal investigator” at the Columbia University Institute of Comparative Medicine labs for years and assumed “full scientific, administrative, and fiscal responsibility for the conduct” of his studies. Over the course of 75 studies published in academic journals reviewed by Jezebel, Oz’s team conducted experiments on at least 1,027 live animal subjects that included dogs, pigs, calves, rabbits, and small rodents. Thirty-four of these experiments resulted in the deaths of at least 329 dogs, while two of his experiments killed 31 pigs, and 38 experiments killed 661 rabbits and rodents.

Veterinarian Catherine Dell’Orto was a postdoctoral veterinary fellow at Columbia during Dr. Oz’s tenure, and actually blew the whistle on what she deemed to be violations of the Animal Welfare Act which, according to Jezebel, “sets minimum standards of care for dogs, cats, primates, rabbits, and other animals in the possession of animal dealers and laboratories.” Standards which Dr. Oz ignored.

Dell’Orto came to Columbia in 2001 and, according to a 2004 article in Newsday, “raised multiple objections with a senior veterinarian” about the treatment of the medical facility’s animals within weeks of her arrival. “They just pooh-poohed me and told me I was new in the field and couldn’t be too emotional about it,” Dell’Orto said at the time.

Eventually, Dell’Orto escalated her complaints then went directly to the USDA, which is in charge of enforcing the Animal Welfare Act, and also shared her story with PETA and The Humane Society of the United States.

In May 2004, the USDA levied a paltry $2,000 fine against Columbia University for multiple violations of the Animal Welfare Act. The fine, writes Cheung, “was the result of a settlement between the university and the USDA, based on the findings of Columbia’s internal investigation of Oz’s research. The USDA accepted these findings, but according to Dell’Orto, the review was faulty, and ‘had investigators on the committee that were also complicit in this type of poorly designed, cruel animal experimentation.’”

Just last month, Dell’Orto told Billy Penn that Oz did not personally euthanize the hundreds of dogs and puppies in question. But she noted that, “When your name is on the experiment, and the way the experiment is designed inflicts such cruelty to these animals, by design, there’s a problem.”

Jezebel reached out to both Columbia’s office of communications and public affairs and Oz’s campaign team for comment; while Columbia declined to participate, Team Oz has yet to respond.

Nintendo Showed Off The First Look At The Chris Pratt-Voiced Mario In ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’

2023 is shaping up to be a big year for Mario fans. Super Nintendo World is scheduled to open at California’s Universal Studios Hollywood, while a new 2D Mario game is reportedly on the way for the Switch. There’s also The Super Mario Bros. This time, Mario will be played by Chris Pratt, who claimed that his voice for the Italian plumber is “unlike anything you’ve ever heard.”

You’ll be able to judge for yourself on Thursday, October 6, when the trailer has its world premiere at New York Comic-Con. Until then, Nintendo shared the first look at the animated movie, featuring Mario and a bunch of Toads.

Confirmed: Mario has a Hank Hill rear view. Also, I understand not wanting to show off Peach and Luigi and Donkey Kong already, but where’s Toadette?

The Super Mario Bros. Country Legend Loretta Lynn Is Dead At 90

Loretta Lynn, an icon in country music, died today (October 4) at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, the artist’s publicist confirmed with Rolling Stone. Lynn was 90 years old.

Lynn was born on April 14, 1932 in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, and started singing in local clubs in the late 1950s. Her recording career got off to a strong start: Her debut album, 1963’s Loretta Lynn Sings, peaked at No. 2 on the US country chart. Her first album to top that chart was 1966’s You Ain’t Woman Enough, which was also her first release to appear on the Billboard Top LPs chart.

She maintained a high level of success for decades, with albums appearing at or near the top of the country charts in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. The finals years of her career were strong, too. In 2004, she released Van Lear Rose, a Jack White-produced album that was critically praised and won a Grammy for Best Country Album. The final album released during her lifetime was 2021’s Still Woman Enough, which was the fourth in a series of five planned albums. All in all, her career spanned over 60 years.

Latto Surpasses Doja Cat For A Hot 100 Milestone With ‘Big Energy’

Latto is traversing North America as an opener on Lizzo’s Special Tour, performing at Madison Square Garden over the weekend, but the Atlanta-bred star has stayed put on Billboard‘s Hot 100 for 49 weeks with “Big Energy.” Her September 2021 breakthrough smash has become the longest-charting rap single by a solo female artist — topping Doja Cat’s “Need To Know” (48 weeks) this week.

“Big Energy” is housed on 777, Latto’s 2022 sophomore album, and received the remix treatment from Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled in March.

“I wanted to push myself,” Latto said of “Big Energy” as an Uproxx cover star last December. “I wanted to challenge myself. Honestly, when you’ve been rapping since eight years old, you got to find new inspiration and new sparks. I just wanted to try something different and I didn’t really give a f*ck whether people liked it or they didn’t because this was for me. I know what I’m doing. So I was like, the go-hard Latto, heavy punchlines on a heavy 808 trapped out beat, that’s my pocket. I got that down pat. I can do that forever. I do that in my sleep. But, I don’t want to do that forever. I want to push myself and I want to be the biggest me I can be.”

“Big Energy” is up for song of the year, while 777 is nominated for hip-hop album of the year at the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards, scheduled for tonight (October 4).

Tyler The Creator Lands A Guest-Starring Role In ‘Big Mouth’ Season 6

Talk about a match made in heaven. Tyler The Creator, who is equally well-known for his unique growl of a voice as he is for his raunchy sophomoric sense of humor, has been cast in Netflix’s animated sitcom Big Mouth, which is also known for its outrageous, bawdy jokes. According to Entertainment Tonight, the boundary-pushing rapper is just one of a slew of guest stars in the upcoming sixth season of Big Mouth including Adam Levine (super bad timing, but sort of appropriate for a show featuring horny imaginary creatures), Brian Tyree Henry, and Steve-O of Jackass. Let’s just hope T is playing a Hormone Monster.

Tyler recently got a chance to show off that famed sense of trollish humor when his good friend ASAP Rocky needed help escaping his own mosh pit at Rolling Loud New York. As the video of the incident went viral — much to Rocky’s displeasure — Tyler did the thing all of our friends should do and roasted him mercilessly over it. First, he changed his profile pic on Instagram to Rocky’s distressed expression from the video, then he immortalized the moment on a birthday cake for their rap buddy Jasper Dolphin. Meanwhile, Tyler more recently announced that he’d be pushing back the return of his own music festival, Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, until next year.

Check out the season 6 Big Mouth trailer above.
