Since his breakout moment, Lil Baby has not held back with his collaborations. The rapper has songs with Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion, and even made an entire joint album with Gunna. But for his next collaboration, Lil Baby is setting his sights on someone a bit more elusive: André 3000.

Lil Baby recently sat down for a cover interview with Billboard where he talked about his rise to fame, his responsibility as a role model, and what he has in store next. The rapper sparingly divulged details about his third studio album, saying he has reached out to André 3000’s team in hopes of securing a feature from the Outkast rapper.

“I’m in a whole different head space than I was at with My Turn — I’m going to be at a different level every time I drop because I’m at different levels in life,” he said about his upcoming effort.

That wasn’t the only bit of information Lil Baby let loose about his next LP. Apparently, the rapper is vying for André 3000, who he labeled “a cold motherf*cker,” to lend a verse on a track. “I talked to somebody who be talking to him, and he’s on it right now,” he said of the potential collaboration. “We’re in third-party communications.”

Other than occasionally being spotted with his flute in public, André 3000 has been laying low lately. The rapper did end up making a rare appearance on Goodie Mob’s Survival Kit track “No Cigar.” But other than that, a song with Lil Baby would mark André 3000’s first new music in quite some time.

Sh*t happens, but usually not when there’s $18 million on the line. Unfortunately, that’s the predicament NBC has found itself in with Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide, an all-new competitive series based on the classic Wham-O backyard waterslide that has gotten off to a pretty crappy start. Now the network has decided to pull the plug entirely on the series, which was set to premiere on Sunday, August 8.

As The Wrap tells it, back on June 2, seven weeks into production on the series and with less than a week to go to complete it, a giardia outbreak that affected a full 65 percent of the show’s staff led to many of them being subjected to “awful explosive diarrhea.” (The word “awful” seems superfluous there, no?) While all of the set’s water features came back negative for the parasite, it turns out that the dirt surrounding the set wasn’t so lucky.

According to The Wrap:

“NBC and the studio began scouting for a new, safe new location where the giant Slip ‘n Slide could be moved so production on the end of Season 1 — and potential future seasons — could take place. During that time, Universal Television Alternative Studio was also working on two possible models for finishing the season in the edit bay without the ability to shoot the final episodes, but those options were ultimately passed on in favor of delaying the show.”

Network executives confirmed that they are committed to completing filming on the series, but only once they can find a safe place to do that. So at the moment, there is no confirmed date to resume filming or information on when the show might air.

If we might suggest an alternative idea: Change the title to Ultimate Sh*t ‘N Slide and just go with the footage they’ve got?

It’s also worth mentioning that the “toy” upon which the series is based has a rather infamous history of its own—one that has seen the item recalled and discontinued a handful of times, and that has broken the necks of many and even killed people over the years. So there’s that.

As previously established, Vanessa Bayer is great. She’s great on SNL, she’s great on I Think You Should Leave (my only complaint about season two is that she wasn’t in it), she’s great in Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, and I’m sure her semi-autobiographical Showtime series, I Love This for You, will be great, too. Also great: Bayer’s impressions.

Her Rachel from Friends is an all-timer, but Jennifer Aniston initially wasn’t a fan.

When asked by InStyle about her favorite impression of her Friends character, the actress replied, “Vanessa Bayer on Saturday Night Live. I remember someone saying, “Did you see the impression of you on SNL?” My first response was, ‘What? No, I’m not impression [-worthy].’ They played it for me and [gasps], ‘That is so not the way I sound.’ Then I was like, ‘Uh, oh. Oh, I see.’ Everyone said it was a compliment, but I had to really get my brain around that and tuck my little tail between my legs, thinking I’m being made fun of. That’s always the gut instinct: They’re making fun of me.”

Bayer wasn’t making fun of Aniston: she called herself a “superfan” of Friends and said that “getting to do Rachel with her was a dream come true. Now I think it’s time for Aniston to return the favor and get Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow to recreate the Instagram sketch from I Think You Should Leave. “Slurping down fish p*ss with these wet chodes Monica and Phoebe. Total tuna cans.” It practically writes itself.

Andre Drummond’s 2020-21 season did not go according to plan. After 25 games in Cleveland, the big man was asked not to play while the Cavs tried to find him a new home via trade, and when that didn’t happen, he ended up in Los Angeles via the buyout market. Drummond was promised a starting role in L.A., much to the dismay of Marc Gasol and Montrezl Harrell already on the roster, and while he posted Drummond-like numbers (11.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game), the Lakers never quite coalesced in the way they hoped, and in the playoffs he got shuffled out of the starting lineup to his own frustration.

Figuring out what Drummond’s market would be as a free agent, both in teams that would pursue him and what type of contract he would be offered, was something few even attempted to do. Drummond’s ability to fill up the stat sheet is unquestioned, but he struggles on defense when asked to play in space and needs to be in the right situation to succeed.

It appears the market for Drummond never formed as he’d hoped, and he will instead look to find a more consistent backup role on a contender after the debacle in L.A. a year ago. Funny enough, he ends up swapping places with the man who replaced him yesterday on the Lakers, as he is headed to the Philadelphia 76ers on a 1-year minimum deal, taking the spot Dwight Howard vacated in his return to L.A.

It’s an especially interesting signing considering the history between Drummond and Embiid, who used to love trolling Drummond in their matchups when Drummond was in Detroit, once calling him a “bum.”

That is now his backup, and if nothing else it’s going to be fascinating to see how those two coexist. From a team-building perspective, the signing makes some sense given how the backup big man market has taken shape, with few high quality options still available and, as noted previously, Drummond is a very good rebounder and scores well around the basket. Still, it was a pretty surprising signing and we’ll await Embiid’s reaction, but for a minimum deal, it’s a pretty low-risk maneuver.

For many of us, losing the ability to travel this past year has meant losing the opportunity to immerse ourselves in new cities, new cultures, and new flavors. For Chef Ed Szymanski, that adventure roadblock inspired him to get creative when it came to his cuisine.

In the latest episode of Creator Connections, made in partnership with Delta Air Lines, Szymanski shared how the pandemic derailed his plans to travel along the West Coast last year. He wanted to sample the flavors of the sea that places like California and Oregon are known for and use it as the inspiration behind dishes at his restaurant Dame, in Greenwich Village. Instead, he found ways to connect with his community at home via pop-up shops and budget-friendly food staples like the always-classic fish and chips. But the time spent growing roots and giving back only made him more appreciative of the opportunity to travel again.

“Traveling is about people and it’s about the moments I get to share with those people,” Szymanski says. “Those are the things that really broaden my horizons and make me grow as an individual.”

“I’m so excited to plan again, and to travel,” he says. “I guess I didn’t realize how much I missed that until it was gone.”

Last year, Hit-Boy helped Nas overcome his recent album slump, executive producing the Queens legend’s latest full-length, King’s Disease. The results spoke for themselves; not only was the album credited with breaking rap fans’ prevailing “Nas has a tin ear for beats” narrative, but it was also one of the most critically acclaimed rap projects of the year.

It looks like the two principals were pretty impressed with each other, as they recently announced a follow-up titled King’s Disease II to be released on the same projected date as Kanye West’s Donda. Either that, or it’ll be a Lost Tapes-type release collecting some of the cutting room clippings from the original sessions and stitching them together — which has worked for Nas before on Lost Tapes. Today, they shared the tracklist, revealing collaborations with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Blxst, Eminem, EPMD, Lauryn Hill, and YG.

King’s Disease II will thus mark the second collaboration between Nas and Em and Nas and Lauryn. While Eminem produced Nas’s 2002 God’s Son song “The Cross,” Nas and Ms. Hill collaborated on Nas’ biggest hit to date, 1996’s “If I Ruled The World” from It Was Written. Meghan McCain‘s final week on The View continues to be an epic showcase of how much the co-hosts, and guests, love to shade the conservative commentator. During a panel discussion on the contentious issue of making children wear masks as COVID cases spike ahead of the quickly approaching 2021-2022 school year, Whoopi Goldberg didn’t even hide her disdain for McCain, who completely ignored the topic and went on a three minute rant about Lollapalooza and vaccine passports.

McCain’s segment comes in at the 3:10 mark, and instead of responding to Whoopi’s concerns, McCain goes on a tirade about New York Mayor Bill de Blasio who’s going to cause “civil unrest” with his vaccine passport program. McCain also attempts to say that the program will disproportionately affect the Black community, and Whoopi was not pleased with any of it.

As McCain finishes talking about pending sci-fi dystopia (she’s been on a real tear about people fleeing to Arizona), a perturbed Whoopi said, “OK, I’m going to go back to the original question,” and people went nuts for the unbridled shade. Getting shaded by Whoopi now makes two back-to-back episodes of The View where McCain had egg on her face. On Monday’s episode, she notably skipped out on an interview with Mary Trump, who called out McCain for not having the “courage” to discuss the current state of the Republican Party and its allegiance to Donald Trump.

Later that day, McCain reacted to Mary Trump‘s now-viral moment with a profanity-laced tweet. “There is no ‘good’ Trump family member to me,” McCain wrote. “Continue to wish they would all just leave me and my entire family the f*ck alone.”

Otto Porter Jr. was once considered one of the NBA’s rising stars on the wing, as his fourth and fifth seasons in Washington were nothing short of tremendous (14.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals per game on 50.9/43.7/83.8 shooting over those two seasons).

He looked even better to start his tenure in Chicago, but was shut down after 15 games with the Bulls in 2018-19 and played just 42 games in the two seasons since with the Bulls and Magic due to various injuries. That led to Porter’s free agent market being very poor this summer, with mid-level type offers being the best he could find as teams wanted to see him look like the player he once was before they paid him as such. As a result, Porter went in search of the best possible situation for him to shine and ended up taking a veteran minimum deal with the Warriors, where he could fit in incredibly well.

Even when he hasn’t been consistently healthy, Porter has been an excellent three-point shooter and there are few things higher on the Warriors needs list than more floor spacers. What they get out of Porter beyond that will determine just how much of a steal this is, as will his health. If he’s able to play most of the season, which is certainly a big if given his recent history, the Warriors are getting one of the league’s best shooters and another big, physical wing who can defend multiple positions on the minimum.

It is the exact kind of swing this Warriors team should be taking, and after an underwhelming offseason to this point, signing Porter is arguably the move they’ve made that should excite fans most in the immediate. It is low risk given he’s, effectively, just taking a roster spot previously used for a non-factor in Allen Smailagic, but has the upside to be a real contributor that can elevate both the floor and ceiling of this team. Only time will tell if Porter can stay healthy and what form he can regain, but this has a chance to be one of the best signings of the offseason for anyone.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s political career appears to be crumbling around him, a little over a year after he led New York through the first U.S. wave of the pandemic. Amid mounting sexual harassment allegations (and nursing-home-related accusation) against him, Cuomo’s publisher suspended the paperback edition of his recent book. That’s led to awkwardness at CNN, where host Chris Cuomo admitted that he couldn’t cover his brother’s sexual harassment scandals, and on Tuesday morning, CNN is (of course) one of the outlets reporting on further Andrew Cuomo developments.

The New York Attorney General’s office has released a 165-page report that concludes (via CNN), “Gov. Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women in violation of state and federal law.” The report further states, while corroborating allegations from 11 women (9 of those were state employees), that Cuomo facilitated a toxic workplace, which allowed “harassment to occur and created a hostile work environment.”

In the below video, Attorney General Letitia James lays out the allegations against Cuomo, including a workplace-related September 2019 event when he allegedly “grabbed [a] young woman’s butt.” James also describes an account from a state trooper, who was assigned to protect Cuomo and says he groped her. “In an elevator, while standing behind the trooper, he ran his finger from her neck down her spine,” James declared (via the Daily Caller). “Another time — he took his open hand and ran it across her stomach.”

CNN relays a key excerpt from the lengthy NY AG report:

“We also conclude that the Executive Chamber’s culture — one filled with fear and intimidation, while at the same time normalizing the Governor’s frequent flirtations and gender-based comments — contributed to the conditions that allowed the sexual harassment to occur and persist,” investigators Joon Kim and Anne Clark wrote in the report. “That culture also influenced the improper and inadequate ways in which the Executive Chamber has responded to allegations of harassment.”

The report also dug into how Chris Cuomo did advise Andrew, and he also testified during the NY AG’s probe. “During his testimony, Chris Cuomo explained that there was discussion about remedial measures the Chamber should take in light of the sexual harassment allegations, but some people had taken the position that ‘they should just wait,’” The Wrap reports. Meanwhile, Cuomo is expected to hold a briefing on the report on Tuesday afternoon.
