Eem Triplin Follows Up His Breakout Debut With The Whimsical ‘Coming Undone’ Three-Pack

Genre-bending Johnstown, Pennsylvania rapper Eem Triplin is having a breakout year. In February, he released his debut album, Melody Of A Memory, and just four months later, he was on XXL‘s 2025 Freshman cover, paying off the years-long climb he started way back in 2022, when he first went viral for an early-afternoon Rolling Loud set that only had 13 attendees.

Today, he started the next phase of his campaign for pop culture domination, dropping what he joked on Instagram was a “3-pack of ass,” including the whimsical “Coming Undone,” which he previously released in an effort to capitalize on the buzz from another viral stunt gone sideways. You can listen to it right here, and check out the rest of the pack here.

The original “release” of “Coming Undone” came on SoundCloud on October 7, when he also shared a video on Twitter featuring the lyrics overlaid on footage of a scantily-clad SZA. The video was inspired by a parody account’s fake news report that the two artists were dating, based on a caption SZA shared on Instagram in which she joked, “Ion eem post on the main no more.”

SZA later wrote in an Instagram comment that Eem was “on my f*ckin nerves a lil bit” and the younger artist joked that she’d blocked him on Twitter as a result. In reality, the whole thing was a lighthearted bit between two labelmates, and of course, fans on social media got a little too invested.

The young artist clearly knows how to get attention, a skill that may serve him well in the future — provided he can manage the unhinged humor of his fanbase when it breaks containment.

Leon Thomas Gets Inspired By Beauty In His Funky ‘My Muse’ Video

As Leon Thomas prepares for the next phase of his breakout career, his Pholks EP, released today through Motown and Ty Dolla Sign’s EZMNY imprint, works as the perfect palette cleanser to pivot from his Mutt era.

The focus track is “My Muse,” a soul-washed ode to a beautiful woman who offers Leon inspiration. It’s brighter and more upbeat than much of his Mutt output, as the funk-soul revivalist shows off some new sounds and a more romantic outlook from the carnal content of his last project.

Likewise, the video focuses on Thomas’ interactions with a single female costar, with shades of Fast Times At Ridgemont High in its direction. Thomas watches his muse sunbathe by the pool and dances with her under a dazzling crystal chandelier, all while singing her praises: “‘Cause you’re not my girl, but you still my muse / Make me wanna get my money up and spend it on you.”

Pholks arrives just before Thomas embarks on his Mutts Don’t Heel tour, which will kick off the day before Halloween in Dallas and end just two days before Christmas with two nights at the Wiltern in Los Angles, before he’ll take it to Australia, Europe, and the UK next spring.

Le Sserafim Continue Their Extremely Busy Year With Two New Songs, Including A J-Hope Collab

Le Sserafim have had a busy year so far, releasing the Hot EP, sharing the single “Different,” and performing around the world on the Easy Crazy Hot Tour. They could easily take is slow for the rest of the year, but instead, today (October 24), they’ve shared two new songs: “Spaghetti” and “Pearlies (My Oyster Is The World),” collectively released as a “single album.”

“Spaghetti” in particular is an event, as it features BTS favorite J-Hope, marking his first collaboration with a K-pop girl group.

Kim Chaewon told Billboard Philippines, “As the lyric ‘Stuck between your teeth, that’s Spaghetti’ suggests, I’d say this song is meant to be just as catchy and impossible to get out of your head — something that lingers no matter how hard you try to shake it off.” Hong Eunchae added, “‘Spaghetti’ channels Le Sserafim’s charm in a way that’s impossible to escape, just like the taste of spaghetti that keeps lingering in your mind. I think its confident and playful energy perfectly reflects who we are as a group.”

Huh Yunjin also said of the other song, “Our B-side track “Pearlies (My Oyster Is The World)’ is a play on the saying ‘the world is my oyster,’ which we also used in the track ‘The World Is My Oyster’ from our debut album. The original saying carries an attitude of taking ownership, of conquering something that isn’t mine and making it my own — which felt very fearless and confident, and was a message we wanted to deliver back then. But by flipping the words, we also flip the meaning: within the small oyster I already have, there’s everything I need. For us, that’s FEARNOT [fan base]. They are our oysters, and therefore our world.”

Tyla’s High-Fashion ‘Chanel’ Video Demands Proof Of Love In The Form Of Designer Goods

Fresh off her WWP EP, Tyla returns with a smooth new single. On “Chanel,” the South African singer makes a simple request: If you really loved her, you’d buy her designer.

While the singer croons, “How you say you love me? You ain’t put me in Chanel,” on the chorus of the low-key gqom (you say with a click of the tongue) track, the video naturally leans couture, with Tyla dancing, posing, strutting, and mugging the camera in the titular brand.

According to Vogue, putting the video together was apparently a bit of a quest for the 23-year-old Joburg native’s stylist Ron Hartleben, who had to pull the vintage pieces from dealers around the world.

“Every single piece of clothing in that video, besides the Hanes tank in the black void scene where she has the blonde bob, is Chanel,” Hartleben boasted. “Even her undergarments, even her shoes and her shorts. The Hanes tank was a very intentional piece because that’s Tyla. It’s the connecting element that made everything make sense.”

He also says the dealers “let me get away with murder” regarding their usual rental fees, because they were so hyped to be included in the star’s latest visual. “These era-defining moments like the hula hoop bag, all of these museum-quality pieces they trusted me with. She’s wearing these belts that are each like $20,000 at full retail, these classic Karl leather pieces, it was so cool to put them together. I did have to sign my life away in case things broke. But nothing broke!”

“Chanel” follows “Is It” and “Dynamite” as striking visuals that Tyla has released this year. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

Daniel Caesar Contemplates The ‘Sins Of The Father’ With Bon Iver On His ‘Son Of Spergy’ Album

After a two-month buildup, Daniel Caesar’s new album, Son Of Spergy, has arrived. The rollout for the project has included the June single “Have A Baby (With Me)” and “Moon,” the latter of which features Bon Iver. It’s one of two songs with the indie-folk band, the second being “Sins Of The Father,” which you can listen to above.

As with so many of Caesar’s songs, it’s a two-parter, with the first bit being a worshipful ballad seemingly addressing the spiritual “father” (i.e., God), while after a short break, the song transforms into a contemplative lullaby addressed to his physical father, after whom the album is named. “Dad was forgetful, he promised a lot / Thankfully, he never got caught,” he recalls. “Passed it to me now, I finally can see / Forgetting’s a gift, thank you, God.”

In the press release for Son Of Spergy, Caesar explained the core of the album, which finds him contemplating his purpose and the nature of his parental bonds. “I have a lot of respect for my dad, and I hold him in high regard,” he said. “The album is about me realizing that I am exactly like him. In that sense, it’s about having patience, respect, and admiration for myself.”

Megan Thee Stallion Fully Embraces Being A ‘Lover Girl’ On Her Latest Single

Megan Thee Stallion is back with her next Act III single. While most of the Houston hottie’s discography is marked by her unbothered Southern pimp persona, Tina Snow, her latest finds her fully embracing being a “Lover Girl” after settling down with NBA star Klay Thompson. The new single, produced by Jacobdior, blends the nostalgic ’90s R&B girl pop of Total’s “Kissin’ You” with the upbeat New Orleans bounce of HaSizzle’s “Bounce It.” The result is a sweet and savory mix of sounds, with Megan gushing about “my man, my man, my man, my baby, my baby.”

Although the track might be an emotional departure from Meg’s other recent Act III output, such as “Whenever,” her raps remain as raunchy as ever. “A very freaky girl, you heard what Gucci said / First, I give you my number, then you give me some head,” she proposes in the second verse. Meg’s newfound soft side hasn’t dulled her edge one bit.

“Lover Girl” is the latest sign that Meg’s December promise to deliver the third part of her Megan trilogy in 2025 might become a reality. While we don’t quite have a release date confirmation yet, we do know she’s been hoping to include stars like Doechii and Ariana Grande on it.

The Neighbourhood Unveil Three New Songs To Announce ‘(((((ultraSOUND))))),’ Their Upcoming Album

The last time we got a new album from The Neighbourhood was in 2020, with Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones. Half a decade gone as an eternity in modern music terms, but the drought is ending soon: Today (October 24), The Neighbourhood announced a new album, (((((ultraSOUND))))).

They’ve made a splash with the news by sharing three new songs: “Private,” “OMG,” and “Lovebomb.”

A press release describes the album as a “powerful return to the band’s roots” that blends “the raw energy of ’90s alt-rock with a modern, introspective edge,” saying it draws inspiration from “Brit-pop while maintaining their signature California indie sound.” Lyrically, the project is said to be “intimate and self-aware, exploring heartbreak, disillusionment, and emotional vulnerability.”

This comes after Jesse Rutherford released a solo album, Jesse®, last year. At the time, he told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about his reasoning for making the project and how it relates to the band, saying:

“I just wanted a moment to not have The Neighbourhood be my identity because, and it is, it’s a big part of it and I love that. But I didn’t stop doing the band just because I wanted to focus on me making a solo record. I just knew that was also going to happen while I just did my life. […]

You said something like to the effect of, ‘Why isn’t this a Neighbourhood record? You’ve already kind of established a voice as Jesse.’ I don’t think I have. I’ve established a voice as The Neighbourhood, but all the other projects I’ve done are experiments and this one doesn’t feel like an experiment to me.”

Fred Again.. Continues His ‘USB’ Series By Sharing Two New Songs, With Caribou, MC Teteu, And Floating Points

Fred Again..’s constantly evolving USB project is in the midst of a major phase of development. Fred recently announced that he’s once again adding to it, unveiling a giant banner that read, “USB002, 10 weeks, 10 songs, 10 cities,” and he also captioned his post, “this is us for the next 77 days.” We’ve had a handful of new songs so far and the latest is out now.

There are two new songs, actually. There’s “Facilita” with Caribou and MC Teteu, as well as “Ambery” with Floating Points.

Fred recently shared a post in which he talks about how performing and touring has been lately, writing:

“i dont want this to sound in any way like im complaining cos my GOD i wouldnt change a thing for the world and i feel unbelivably fortunate. but yes 1 hundreedddd percent theres a lot of super weird pressures that sometimes come with it that im really very new to navigating really and can get super overhwhelmed by.

and id hate to accidentally be one of those ppl whos presenting things as more shiny than they are ykno. cos sometimes i really dont feel shiny at aaaall!

i think part of it is obviusly jus like if im sad or feeling whatever else, those are often not the moments where im like ‘oh sick i should film this! that would go hard.’”
