Is Blackpink about to be in your area? The K-pop group shared a video teasing a world tour coming later this year. There’s no dates or anything like that yet, but it’s still an exciting update. Watch it above.

Since wrapping up the Born Pink World Tour in 2023, the members of Blackpink have focused on their solo careers: Rosé became the first Korean female solo artist with a top-10 hit in America with “APT”; Lisa’s album, Alter Ego, comes this month, followed by her acting debut in The White Lotus; Jennie is going on an “intense and intimate” mini-tour in support of her upcoming album, Ruby; and Jisoo’s “new era” includes the Amortage EP.

Jennie recently spoke to Billboard about how she’s excited to see what Blackpink looks like once they’re back together. “I’ve missed the girls,” she said. “I’ve missed doing tours with them. I miss our silly moments. I’m excited to see what everyone brings. You know, everyone took their own journey [during] this time, and I’m excited to share that with the girls. I want to say it’s going to be the most powerful [versions] of ourselves that anyone has seen.”

It appears we’ll find out later this year.

Back To The Beginning was dubbed the “greatest heavy metal show ever” by musical director Tom Morello, and it has the lineup to prove it.

The headliner of the one-day festival in Birmingham, England, is the original lineup of Black Sabbath — singer Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward — performing together for the first time in 20 years to celebrate Ozzy’s final live performance.

There’s also Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Lamb Of God, Anthrax, and Mastodon, as well as additional performances from The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Korn’s Jonathan Davis, Faith No More’s Mike Bordin, Ghost’s Papa V Perpetua, Sammy Hagar, Wolfgang Van Halen, and many more.

“It’s my time to go Back To The Beginning… time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” Ozzy said in a statement. “How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love? Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”

Tickets for Back To The Beginning, which takes place in Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5, go on sale on Friday, February 14, at 10 a.m. GMT. Proceeds will go towards Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice. You can find more information here.

As the world learned in 2024, engaging Kendrick Lamar in a rap battle may not be the best idea… unless you want everybody at the Grammys to rap along with a chart-topping diss track about you, specifically the part that suggests you engage in inappropriate conduct with minors. That said, Kanye West doesn’t seem to fear Lamar. In fact, Ye seems to believe that if he and Lamar came to rap-based blows, he would be the one to emerge on top.

In a new interview on the Download podcast, West said (here’s the clip):

“If you rap against Kendrick, you will lose. This man does this. You know in Street Fighter, you get Chun-Li, you get a certain kick, and no matter what, you can’t beat that thing [laughs]? If you rap against Kendrick Lamar… like, Joe Budden said, ‘Never rap against Kendrick Lamar.’ If you rap against Kendrick Lamar, it’s a difficult task, but perhaps it’s something… I’m a psycho genius, so you know, it could be…”

Host Justin Laboy then concluded, “There you have it: Do not rap against Kendrick Lamar.” Kanye added, “Unless you’re a psycho genius like me.”

That said, he also indicated Drake could somehow mount a comeback against Lamar, saying, “You can’t ever count out Steph Curry. That man might get 200 points in one song.”

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Gracie Abrams spoke to Cosmopolitan for the publication’s “Love Issue.” The “That’s So True” singer was asked about sex advice (“The best I’ve ever felt during sex is when I have been performing the least in the moment”), what “sexy” means to her (“I feel the sexiest when I feel the strongest physically”), and the first time she fell in love (“I was in high school and I was an idiot”).

Abrams also shared what she wishes she knew earlier about sex.

“Porn is bullsh*t,” she replied. “It is dangerous, not real, and a performance. It’s really dangerous for young people for that to be their introduction to sex. I remember growing up reading Cosmo and it being like ‘six tips to give the most rocking blow job ever,’ and you’re like, ‘Holy f*ck.’ I had a lot of questions… I took to the internet for answers, which is frightening to think about now. Young people need to learn about sex from a reputable resource like Cosmo or a strong mentor, not just scrolling aimlessly online like I did.”

The topic of Taylor Swift came up, too, as Abrams was the final opener on The Eras Tour. “It’s been really cool to be in the orbit of a person like her,” she said. “There’s also nothing that comes close to what she has done. People will still gaslight her and her capabilities and all this sh*t. But please point me to one man who has come close to defining pop culture in this way. There is nothing! But people are not ready for that conversation.”

Save for the occasional exception in her discography, Billie Eilish doesn’t do a lot of collaborations, at least not as many as most pop stars as big as she is. That said, she’d be more than happy to link up with Ariana Grande, who actually feels the same way.

After a screening of Wicked at the Directors Guild Of America in Los Angeles yesterday (February 4), Eilish hosted an on-stage conversation between herself and Grande. Towards the end of the chat, Eilish had a verbal slip-up as she said (as Billboard notes), “A few more songs and then we go.” She and Grande then started laughing, and Eilish corrected, “Songs? Did I say songs? Oh my god, I meant questions. I’m on tour! I’m used to saying that.”

Grande then responded, “We do need to do that, though, at some point,” which got cheers from the audience. Eilish replied, “We do need to do that. We need to do that. […] I would love to do that.” (Here’s a video of some of that moment.)

Elsewhere, Eilish discussed how big a fan of Grande she is, saying, “I remember finding out that you got the job through the internet and I was like, ‘F*ck yeah, that’s so sick, she’s wanted that for so long.’ I didn’t even know you then, at all. I was so excited.”

When the Lakers played on Saturday night in New York, they were without Anthony Davis due to an abdominal injury and got a big win over the Knicks. On Tuesday, they got a big win over the Clippers without Davis, but this time they were without their All-Star big man after shockingly trading him to the Mavericks late Saturday night after that win in New York, bringing Luka Doncic to L.A.

Doncic was officially introduced as a Laker on Tuesday in a press conference before their game across town, but he is still not quite back from his calf injury and was not active for the game. While we heard from Doncic, Rob Pelinka, and JJ Redick before the game, it wasn’t until afterwards that we’d get LeBron’s first statements on the trade. With the Lakers thrashing the Clippers, those came in his walk-off interview with TNT’s Jared Greenberg (video here), where he detailed the “whirlwind” last couple days and how challenging it’s been for him personally to see Davis traded — similarly to how Kyrie Irving talked about the “grieving process” he was still going through in Dallas.

“Been a whirlwind, so I can’t even imagine how Luka, AD, Max Christie, Maxi Kleber, and Hood-Schifino, was one of our teammates as well, [are feeling] — so it’s been challenging for sure,” James said. “Especially for me, I had what, six years with AD, won a championship with my guy. One of my best friends, obviously, but you know it’s a business, you understand that. It’s the business of basketball, we understand that, and I know he’s gonna do well down there in Dallas.”

James was then asked what he thinks the combination of he and Luka will look like on the floor together, and said it will be special, noting how they should be able to make life easy for their Laker teammates.

“It’s gonna be special, I think so. We’re gonna attract a lot of eyes. Obviously, our ability to score, rebound, pass is going to make it a lot easier on our teammates. And that’s all we want to do. We want to create opportunities for our teammates where all they have to do is catch-finish, catch-dunk, catch-shoot, and it’s our job to lead them every single night. Look, Luka’s a big-time player, 25 years old, hasn’t even reached his prime yet and he’s done some amazing things in our league already. Happy to have him. L.A.’s happy to have him and it’s a little bit surreal still to be honest.”

Rap beefs are one thing. But, watching a bromance dissolve in real-time is another level of pain. Sadly, this is precisely what Drake and LeBron James fans are experiencing. With supporters questioning the status of their friendship, the “Sideways” rapper made it clear things are not good.

Yesterday (February 4) during opening night of Drake’s Anita Max Win Tour he made a subtle lyric adjustment to his track “Nonstop,” that could users online’s attention. Instead of comparing himself to LeBron, he emphasized a separation.

“How I go from 6 to 23 but not Lebron, man,” raps Drake in a clip captured by a concertgoer (and viewable here).

The song’s stanza is supposed to go: “B*tch, I move through London with the euro-step / Got a sneaker deal and I ain’t break a sweat / Catch me ’cause I’m goin’ outta there, I’m gone / How I go from 6 to 23 like I’m LeBron?
Servin’ up a pack, servin’ up a pack / N****s pullin’ gimmicks ’cause they scared to rap.”

Drake has several references to LeBron throughout his music. So, it could be a daunting undertaking to modify every track. Now, fans are wondering how it will impact the remainder of his tour.

Well, at least Drake still have Stephen Curry as an athletic friend.

Jelly Roll has made a splash in the country music scene. So, the “Lonely Road” musician is hoping to teach the next generation of recording artists a few of his award-winning skills.

Today (February 3), Jelly Roll announced that he will be joining reality competition show, American Idol as its first-ever artist-in-residence. In a promotional clip for the program’s upcoming season (viewable above), Jelly Roll and Ryan Seacrest gleefully shared the news.

“I’m American Idol’s ‘Artist in Residence!,” he said.

Seacrest followed Jelly Roll’s declaration with a question about securing the record-setting position to which he replied: “It feels good…And I feel like I’m giving them the energy they need. I’m uplifting and trying to get ’em goin’!

Last season, Katy Perry decided to step away from the judges panel to pursue other ventures. Shortly after the official exit, several singers including Meghan Trainor put their bids in to takeover Perry’s seat. Ultimately, Season 23’s judging slot when to the show’s past winner Carrie Underwood.

Both Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan will return as judges.

The Dallas Mavericks played their second game of the post-Luka Doncic era on Tuesday in Philadelphia and fell to 0-2 since Saturday’s shocking blockbuster that brought Anthony Davis and Max Christie to Dallas and sent Doncic, Markieff Morris, and Maxi Kleber to Los Angeles.

Tuesday’s close loss to the Sixers was the first time Kyrie Irving had played, as he sat out against Cleveland, which meant his postgame availability was the first time we heard from him since the league-shaking trade. Irving, like everyone else, said his first reaction was shock and explained that he’s still in the “grieving process”, noting how close he and Doncic had become on and off the court (via Grant Afseth).

“Just really shocked. You just don’t imagine that you’re gonna get ready to go to sleep and find out news like that,” Irving said. “So still the grieving process right now. I miss my hermano. We had a lot of time together — Kieff too, and Maxi. We just built some bonds that went beyond the basketball court. If anybody can understand at home, when someone or a few people leave in a trade it’s gonna be difficult, and that’s what we’re dealing with right now. But this is a business. It’s way above my pay grade. Kinda just gotta adjust and be ready to welcome in my new teammates with open arms and kinda be ready to go back to Dallas to speak in front of our fans. I know they’re feeling it too — I’m feeling it too, guys. It’s just an adjustment period. I don’t wanna downplay this either or disrespect our new guys, they’re gonna help us win and help us build towards a championship. But just like everyone else at home, kinda see it from afar, it hurts.”

The human element of trades is always a difficult thing to fully understand from the outside, but when a trade comes out of truly nowhere like this one, I can only imagine the wild range of emotions players feel. Irving tries to explain that as best he can, and does a good job detailing the delicate balance of the locker room right now. They’re all reeling from seeing their top guy and a beloved teammate get traded, and have to process those emotions while also welcoming in new teammates who are likewise dealing with their own shock and trying to figure out exactly how this all went down.

Irving also didn’t shy away from the fact that Mavs fans aren’t happy with how this went down, and it’ll be interesting to see what the reception is for the team when they arrive back in Dallas. The GM doesn’t come out onto the court, so it’s not like fans will be able to directly boo Nico Harrison, but the players had nothing to do with the trade and are just as shocked as everyone else.

Ariana Grande appears to make quick friends with her co-workers. Well, that’s what a recent story from Sean Hayes seems to suggest. During the latest episode of his, Jason Bateman and Will Arnett‘s Smartless podcast, Hayes claimed to have turned down a sleepover invite from the “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” singer.

While reflecting on their time on Hairspray Live!, Hayes says he Ariana grande wanted to include him in the plans with her friends off set. However, after deep reflection, Hayes thought it would be best to sit it out due to his age.

“I don’t know why I’m remembering this, but one of the cutest, greatest things you ever did — this was around 10 years ago, when we were doing ‘Hairspray Live!,’” he said. “We were sitting in the makeup trailer, and you said to me, ‘Hey, there’s a few of us going to my house after later on tonight, we’re going to get totally wasted and then sleep over, and in the morning my mom’s going to make us pancakes.’”

Hayes admits the gesture was “so sweet.” Still due to their significant age gap, Hayes decided to decline the offer. “Ariana, I am 45 years old,” he said.
