Trent Williams Got Ejected Late In Chiefs-49ers For Punching Bryan Cook In Retaliation

The San Francisco 49ers have not figured out how to get wins against the Kansas City Chiefs, losing to Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid in two of the last five Super Bowls, including a thrilling Chiefs comeback last season. On Sunday, the 5-0 Chiefs rolled into Levi’s Stadium to face the 3-3 Niners, who were in need of a big win to build some confidence that this team can get back to a championship level.

That did not happen, as Brock Purdy had a rough afternoon against Steve Spagnuolo’s defense, tossing three interceptions, and eventually the dam broke on the other side of the ball with the Chiefs pulling away to a 28-18 win. Throughout the game, things were chippy in the Super Bowl rematch, and with the Niners down 16 points in the final minutes, Chiefs defensive back Bryan Cook got into it with the last person on the Niners roster any sane person would try to fight, Trent Williams.

Cook threw a little punch to Williams helmet while the big man was on the ground that the refs naturally did not see, but what they did see was the All-Pro tackle stand up and drill Cook with a much stronger punch to the helmet.

Williams was hit with a 15-yard penalty and ejected after the refs separated the two teams as they came together, which wasn’t really a huge deal with the game effectively over barring a true miracle. As Tom Brady points out on the broadcast, messing with Trent is not the best idea, and Cook probably got lucky all he got was clocked upside the helmet. As always, I must note, it’s a bit funny when guys punch each other in the helmet as you’re far more likely to injure your hand than the person you’re punching, but Williams is one of the few guys in the league who can probably do some real damage clubbing someone upside the head even with a helmet on.

Gucci Mane Plans On Dropping His Entire 1017 Records Roster Except For Two Currently Sidelined Artists

Layoffs have impacted every industry, but the entertainment sector has been hit extremely hard. Gucci Mane admits to to monitoring these shakeups.

Now, the “TakeDat” rapper announced upcoming updates to his 1017 Records roster. On October 18, Gucci Mane took to his official Instagram to outline his pending decision.

“I just seen my P&L (profits and losses) with all my artists,” he said. “You know it’s a whole sh*t show in the industry right now, but when I’m looking at my P&L, and me being a businessman, I think that I’m going to have to release almost all my artists, except for Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano.”

Prior to Gucci Mane’s video, 1017 Records lineup reportedly consisted of Bigwalkdog, Brezden, Foofiano, Hotboy Wes, Kato2x, Li Rye, Lil Zay, and Mac Critter. Sadly, several acts including Enchanting and Big Scarr tragically died from drug overdoses. Currently, Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano are serving time behind bars for separate legal cases.

Gucci Mane went on to say: “This is a decision I didn’t want to make. I thought about it. I could keep all of them under the contract. But I said hey, fuck it. Let’s just make the unselfish decision, and let them take their talents elsewhere.”

Before you find yourself upset at the news, Gucci claimed to have “already reached out” to those he intend to drop. However, Gucci remains steadfast that he is still “looking for new talent” to join both Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano, and that remains where he plans to focus his efforts.

Still users online took to his comment section to urge aspiring acts to stay away claiming his record label is “cursed.” This is a claim Gucci Mane’s wife Keyshia Ka’Oir previously slammed.

Billie Eilish And Finneas’ Moody Performance Of ‘Wildflower’ On ‘SNL’ Will Even Make You Feel Blue

Billie Eilish’s appearance on Saturday Night Live yesterday (October 19) was filled with more than one moving performance. After a high-flying rendition of “Birds Of A Feather,” Billie Eilish delivered a moody showing for another Hit Me Hard And Soft standout, “Wildflower.”

Alongside her brother, frequent collaboration, and fellow musician Finneas, the sibling duo brought the track’s heaviness to life as the late night show’s deep sea blue lighting took over their set.

“Well, good things don’t last / And life moves so fast / I’d never ask who was better / ‘Cause she couldn’t be / More different from me / Happy and free in leather / And I know that you love me / You don’t need to remind me / Wanna put it all behind me, but baby,” sang Billie.

While Billie Eilish is done talking about her sexuality and who she’s dating, the lyrics to “Wildflower” are as revealing as a song can get.

Although Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour‘s production level is much grander than Saturday Night Live, the simplistic approach to the late night cameo nailed the track’s core meaning.

Billie Eilish Took It To The Clouds For Her ‘SNL’ Performance Of ‘Birds Of A Feather’ Alongside Finneas

Billie Eilish made her return to Saturday Night Live. Yesterday (October 19) instead of getting in the holiday spirit or the singer’s musical contribution to Barbie, she has a new solo album to push.

Last night, Billie Eilish took to the Saturday Night Live stage to perform her airy fan-favorite single, “Birds Of A Feather.” Despite the increasing whispers of a split between the siblings, Finneas can be seen jamming out alongside his sister.

To the dismay of supporters, the official video for “Birds Of A Feather” lacked their imagined environmental elements. So, for Billie Eilish’s live performance of the record for SNL, she gave into fans demands with an immersive cloud set which served as a stellar backdrop for Billie Eilish’s dreamy vocals.

The meaning behind the track is remains up in the air, with Billie Eilish telling : “It doesn’t matter what I wrote it about, what Finneas wrote it about…it really doesn’t matter, as long as you interpret it the way you need to.”

At least viewers of the late night performance can rest well knowing their interpretation of the song influenced Billie Eilish’s SNL set design.

F*cking love you guys. Well, here we are. You know what? I can’t believe I’m here myself. Let me get the thank yous out of the way, because I’m not going to bore you with a long, drawn out f*cking monologue. I’d like to thank whoever voted me into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for my solo work. A great thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

My fans have been so loyal to me over the years, I cannot thank them enough. I’ve been fortunate over the years to play with some of the world’s greatest guitar players, drummers, bass players, and a few of them are here tonight. But I’ve got to say one thing for a guy by the name of Randy Rhoads. If I’d hadn’t have met Randy Rhoads, I don’t think I’d be sitting here now. And more so more than that, my wife Sharon. Saved my life. And my grand babies and my babies. I love them all.

Deshaun Watson Got Carted Off With An Apparent Achilles Injury

The Cleveland Browns have been one of the worst offenses in the NFL this season, as Deshaun Watson has continued to struggle throughout his tenure in Cleveland and things have gotten even worse in the 2024 season. At 1-5, the Browns entered Sunday’s game against the Bengals seemingly already out of the mix for a playoff position, but Kevin Stefanski was insistent on continuing to start Watson despite him playing as the worst starting quarterback in the NFL.

On Sunday, the Browns made a curious move when they demoted Jameis Winston to their emergency third quarterback, making Dorian Thompson-Robinson the backup. There wasn’t a reasoning given for the move, but many wondered if it was the team trying to stop the calls from Browns fans for Winston to take over as the starter. That move became extremely noteworthy in the late second quarter when Watson dropped back to pass and collapsed to the turf with a non-contact injury and had to be carted off the field.

On the CBS broadcast, they showed a slow-mo replay that showed Watson’s Achilles pop as he tried to push off his right leg to run forward (video here, but warning it is not for the faint of heart), collapsing to the ground immediately. That brought Thompson-Robinson into the game with the Browns trailing 7-0, and the second year QB out of UCLA led the Browns to their first touchdown of the afternoon on that drive — Cleveland would miss the extra point making it a 7-6 game.

Anthony Edwards Wants To Go Play Football If He Wins A Title ‘In The Next 3-4 Years’

anthony edwards

When Anthony Edwards was coming out of college, one of the questions people had about the Georgia standout was how much he actually loved basketball, as Edwards was never shy about talking about football as the sport he loved playing the most.

Four years into his career, where he’s improved every season to become one of the NBA’s top young stars and led the Timberwolves to the conference finals a year ago, those concerns are laughable in hindsight. He’s clearly been driven to chase greatness on the basketball court and put the work in needed to be not just a talented athlete, but an elite basketball player.

Even with it being pretty clear Edwards made the right choice to pursue basketball over football, the Timberwolves star still thnks about the sport that was his first love. In an upcoming ESPN feature with Justin Jefferson, where the two recreated the iconic Kevin Garnett and Randy Moss photo of the two Minnesota stars in each other’s jersey, Edwards insists he still could make the move to football and tells his friends regularly that he’ll do so “if I win a ring in the next 3-4 years.”

Jefferson, unsurprisingly, isn’t buying Edwards claim here and I think that will be how most react to it. I do buy that Ant earnestly believes he could play in the NFL, because that’s the kind of confidence required to be an elite athlete. I do not believe he will follow through on this plan even if he were to win a title in Minnesota in the next few years, not because he won’t think it’s possible, but if he seriously pursued it, his agent, accountant, and family would all band together to stop it from happening because he’d lose at least $50 million per year in guaranteed pay going from the NBA to the NFL and have a way higher injury risk. As for Timberwolves fans, they would be thrilled to have this potential stress because it would mean they finally were delivered a championship.

A Tribe Called Quest’s 2024 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Featured A Touching Tribute To Phife Dawg And An All-Star Medley Performance

In the eyes of music lover, yesterday (October 19), the 2024 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony made good on several past snubs. In the realm of pop, that was Cher finally being welcomed into the pristine club. But for hip-hop that was undoubtedly A Tribe Called Quest’s induction.

Despite being eligible since 2015, the legendary rap group is only just now making into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. However, that didn’t stop two of its members (Q-Tip and Jarobi White) from cheerfully celebrating the milestone.

White dedicated a part of his speech (viewable here) to honor Phife Dawg who tragically died in 2016. “I don’t I don’t have any stories,” he said. “All I have is gratitude. What I’m saying thank you. Thank you. Tribe fans everywhere, we wouldn’t be nothing without you. Ali Shaheed, I love you, boy. Wish you was here. Let me give it up right quick. Give it up for Phife’s mom and dad right here.”

Late member Phife Dawg’s parents looked on in pride as the crowd and musicians paid their respects. In his place, the sister of Ali Shaheed Muhammad (who was not in attendance) stood in for the honor.

Q-Tip took a moment to subtly acknowledge why A Tribe Called Quest’s induction was so deserved. “To the latter, it has been the terrain for many of us to do Whoppers and Hip-Hoppers, and yes, to all of you pseudo-historians who might be confused about the corner opera in the corner hip hop is saying and rap the blues,” he said. “And what’s more rock and roll than the blues? But just like our predecessors, we had to find spaces on the outskirts of cities and towns, from a southern sun house off Robert Johnson Crossroads to a transformed room in a hood tenement on Sedgwick Avenue in the Bronx. The need to express burns in us with an art-fueled determination. A spark. The spark that embers within many of us in this room, and the spark that burned within the four of us boys in 1985 in New York City.”

While A Tribe Called Quest’s honoree performance (viewable here) featured an all-star lineup of Queen Latifah (“Can I Kick It?”), De La Soul’s Pos and The Roots’ Black Thought (“Check the Rime”), Common (“Bonita Applebum”), and Busta Rhymes (“Scenario”) which was all backed by The Roots.

Cher And Dua Lipa’s Performance Of ‘Believe’ At The 2024 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony Proves, Cher Indeed ‘Changed The Sound Of Music Forever’

For years, Cher felt slighted by the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Eventually, Cher vowed not to accept admission into the pristine music club. Well, yesterday (October 19) that all changed when Cher was officially inducted into the 2024 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame class.

To open up the ceremony, Dua Lipa paid homage to Cher with a performance of her beloved hit “Believe.” As a special surprise Cher gained Dua Lipa on stage to turn the electronic pop smash into an empowering duet (viewable here).

Today (October 20), Dua Lipa continued that love train with a touching post on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “An absolute honor to pay tribute last night to THE ICON & LEGEND Cher as she gets inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame 🖤 (about bloody timeeee if you ask me)! Grateful beyond words to have shared the stage with Cher and The Roots to sing “Believe” 🫀🫀🫀 what a dream come true! PINCH ME PLEASE.”

Just like Dua Lipa, during Cher’s induction speech (viewable here) she joked about how long it has taken her to be inducted. “It was easier getting divorced from two men than it was getting in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” she joked.

After getting that out of the way, Cher discussed her illustrious career (which will be vividly outlined in her forthcoming two-part memoir). “I’m lucky, I’ve had really bad things happen – I was dropped by four labels,” she said. “When it was completely over, I did ‘Believe’ and it was like, “yes!” I’ve just been really lucky, and I have had number ones for seven decades, which surprises me, because I’m a good singer [but] I’m not a great singer. You know what? I’ll take it. And also, I changed the sound of music forever, all right? And and ‘Believe’ really changed the sound of music.”

Cher: The Memoir, Part One is expected to hit shelves on 11/19 via HarperCollins. Find more information here.
