Yesterday (October 15), Love Sean Combs, Diddy’s youngest child, turned two years old. Diddy’s daughter’s big day got the controversial rapper to make his first social media post since being arrested for sex trafficking and racketeering.
On Instagram yesterday, Diddy shared an Instagram gallery post, featuring two photos of Love and two photos of himself with Love. He wrote in the post’s caption, “Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday baby Love! Happy Birthday to you!! [heart emoji][heart hands emoji] Happy Birthday @loveseancombs daddy loves you [cake emoji][party popper emoji][balloon emoji].”
Diddy is currently in the Special Housing Unit at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, so the post was perhaps technically shared by his team and not Diddy himself.
Diddy should remain there for the next good while, too: A few days ago, his trial was scheduled for May 5, 2025. Shortly after that, a new lawsuit surfaced, in which Diddy is accused by six different people of rape, sexual abuse, and sexual assault.
If the Britney Spears biopic is still looking for someone to play the “Toxic” singer, the actual Britney Spears might have some ideas. On Tuesday, she shared a lengthy note on Instagram Stories about the famous female actresses, singers, and models who she has “crazy girl crushes” on.
“Women I genuinely admire and have crazy girl crushes on!!!” she wrote. “Let’s talk about how your other half growing up is usually your best friend!!! Y’all literally finish each others sentences and you don’t really look alike but because you’re always together your mannerisms, the way you speak, and even walk it’s almost like you’re the same f*cking people!!!”
Spears then listed the crush-worthy women who inspire her: Pamela Anderson (“a classic babe and seems so sweet!!!”), Natalie Portman (“the coolest person I ever met outside with her dog in New York and we had the same shirt on”), and Camila Cabello (“she’s so darn pretty and she makes me giggle out loud!!! Her personality is so sweet and kooky I think it’s healthy to be silly!!! I wish I was more like that!!!”). She wondered if it’s “even normal to be that pretty” about Kendall Jenner before finishing up the list with Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore, who are both “literally gorgeous.”
Spears also revealed that she’s working on a novel, her first book since memoir The Woman In Me.
October 11 marked the 20th anniversary of his iconic debut album Back To Bedlam, led by the hit single “You’re Beautiful.” To celebrate, on the 11th, Blunt dropped a remastered anniversary edition of the album, and he’d really like it to top the charts in his native UK. He’s so determined that he offered fans quite the incentive if they help the reissue hit No. 1: He’ll legally change his name to whatever they’d like.
Earlier this month, he shared a comedic video in which he declares:
“My name is James Blunt, and you have the power to absolutely f*ck my life.
I know you’ve heard the rumors, and they’re true: I’m re-releasing my debut album, Back To Bedlam, on October the 11th. Something that has kept me consistently rich for the past 20 years. So as a way to give back to you, my adoring public, if Back To Bedlam re-enters the charts at No. 1, I will legally change my name.
What will I change it to? Well, that’s entirely up to you. […] I’ve been called many things in my life: ‘the most hated man in pop,’ ‘annoying,’ ‘James Beige.’ […] I’ll let the people decide. But if it doesn’t go to No. 1, I’m not changing my name. It’s safe to say this is the most important democratic moment of the year.”
Later, on Radio X’s The Chris Moyles Show, Blunt confirmed he’s not joking, saying, “It’s a genuine thing. I swear on my life and the life of my one fan – Brian from Glasgow – I will change my name should it hit No. 1. I swear on Brian’s life and my life. To whatever the public want – and of course the public are going to be kind, they’re not going to go for anything that rhymes with Blunt, are they? But you know, as long as it’s not, you know, Blunty McBluntface.”
Well, Blunt played himself: He revealed recently that the new name his fans have chosen is indeed Blunty McBluntface. In an appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Blunt said, “I explained to my wife she would be Sofia McBluntface and she’s seized on the opportunity to say she would change her name back to her maiden name (Wellesley).”
The weekly UK chart reveal will take place on Friday, October 18. As of the 14th, Blunt’s reissue was up to No. 4, and Blunt has remained successful in the UK, with his latest album, last year’s Who We Used To Be, peaking at No. 5. So, there’s a chance Blunty McBluntface is coming soon.
Meanwhile, Blunt recently announced North American tour dates to mark the anniversary (find ticket information on his website), so check those out below.

Today (October 15), shared the official video for his latest single, “Alone.” The track Greg Mendez’s second song from his forthcoming EP First Time/Alone. “Alone” is a depressing examination of loneliness brought forth by heartbreak
“I’m alone outside your house/ An angel is knocking at your door, I want more/ Than what I came here looking for,” sings Greg.
That exhausting feeling is amplified in the official music video directed by Luke LeCount. Over on Instagram Luke penned a touching note to his collaborators for the opportunity. “This is arguably my favorite (& maybe best?) video I’ve ever directed & I owe it all to @teefdat,” they wrote. “Sean’s been working hard at learning how to shoot film & taught me a lot during this process. The best thing about being an artist is getting to see people you love excel at what they do. This video was shot entirely on 16mm film, which was a first for Sean & I. So cool to get the opportunity (aka a real budget) to make this happen. Greg writes songs that get stuck in your head & making stuff with him & getting to know him better through this process was/is something I’m grateful for.”

The Miami Heat continued their preseason slate on Tuesday afternoon by playing host to the San Antonio Spurs. While no one on the Heat played more than 24 minutes, the team was able to take care of business against Victor Wembanyama and co., 120-117, as the two teams continue their march towards the start of the regular season.
Tyler Herro had a nice night, going for 14 points and four assists, and after it was all over, he joined Bally Sports Sun to give a debriefing on the game. There was just one problem: Herro was kinda distracted while he was trying to answer questions, because there was a fight happening in the stands and he just could not take his eyes off of it.
“I’m sorry, I’m distracted by a fight up there,” Herro said while talking about the team’s preparations for the start of the regular season. “This is crazy.”
While I concede that I do not watch every second of every public appearance Tyler Herro has ever made, I do not think I have ever seen him as spellbound as he was watching whatever the heck was going on in the stands at the Kaseya Center. Anyway, it’s been a second, so let us use this as the latest reminder that fighting is bad.
Last year, GloRilla solidified herself at the BET Hip-Hop Awards as rap’s breakout rookie. With several viral tracks under her belt, she opted to perform both fan favorites “FNF (Let’s Go)” and “Tomorrow.”
Today (October 15), GloRilla returned to the annual ceremony with an even more impressive discography, including her debut studio album, Glorious. This time GloRilla returned to support her fellow Collective Music Group (CMG) label mate, Big Boogie.
The entertainers treated the packed crowd to a swagger-filled performance of their viral collaboration, “Bop!” With each rapper proud to call Memphis home, the pair used the city’s infectious song on the track, but dance moves on stage. Initially, the track gained traction on TikTok thanks in part to user created choreography. While GloRilla and Big Boogie proudly performed the choreography, the two had to hit the Memphis jook.
In addition to her high-energy performance, GloRilla already secured numerous nominations, including one for Best Collaboration (“Wanna Be” with Megan Thee Stallion), Best Live Performer, Song Of The year (“Yeah Glo!”), Hip-Hop Album Of The Year (Ehhthang Ehhthang), Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year, Hustler Of The Year, and Impact Track (“Yeah Glo!”).

Glorious is out 10/11 via CMG/Interscope. Find more information here.
The 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards were filled with flower giving. One of the rap legends receiving their flowers include Trina.
On the heels of the release of the “Here We Go Again” rapper’s autobiography she hit the stage to perform a medley of her cultural impactful tracks including “Baddest B*tch,” “B R Right,” “Look Back at Me,” and “Nann.” But as an ode to her Dade County upbringing, Trina brought out her God-daughter and fellow rapper Yung Miami to perform “Pull Over!”
Although Yung Miami’s Caresha Please podcast has returned in full effect, and she was a special guest during Usher’s Past Present Future Tour, the cameo at marked her first performance since indictment against her on-and-again-off-again boyfriend Diddy into which she has reportedly been looped.
On stage dressed in a costume honoring Trina’s original look, Yung Miami let it all hang. The rapper didn’t mess a beat as she paid tribute to her Godmother. Between her public spat with former City Girls mate JT and the sea of lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend Diddy, fans poured out their support across platforms such as X (formerly known as Twitter).

From his chart-topping return album Utopia to his earth-shaking supporting tour, Travis is back on top. Today (October 15), the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards crowned that impressive feat by awarding Travis Scott the I Am Hip Hop Award.
However, not everyone is pleased with Travis being honored. During his speech, Travis Scott addressed the naysayers and early career critics. “I can from this generation where they considered us nowhere near hip-hop,” he said. “And everyday I try to push the sound as a producer. Nobody knew what the f*ck I was trying to do [in the beginning]. But I always had this idea and vision…still to this day. Just to take the sound to the next level.”
That criticism is far from over. When Travis was announced as this year’s recipient, users online questioned the decision. However, in the caption of the announcement post (viewable here), BET seemingly replied to the pushback, writing: “From Astroworld vibes to breaking records with legendary tracks while making every stage feel like a movie, Travis truly embodies the culture. This award ain’t just a trophy; it’s a salute to his undeniable influence, hustle, and the way he keeps the game on ‘Sicko Mode’!”
