Just hours before the 10-part 30 For 30 documentary about Michael Jordan’s last title season with the Chicago Bulls, ESPN rolled out a new trailer for a sports documentary that can change everything. Though, it probably won’t actually happen.

The much-hyped Jordan doc, The Last Dance, is a huge sports moment, especially in a world without sports. But on Sunday, hours before the first part airs, ESPN shared a trailer for a documentary about a very different Michael: The Office boss Michael Scott. The basketball episode from the brief first season of The Office was an early glimpse of what the show would become: Scott over-promising and soon leading to embarrassment.

ESPN’s 30 For 30 Twitter account shared a fake trailer for a documentary about Michael Scott’s athletic endeavors, complete with classic 30 For 30 voiceover asking questions, though these are certainly a bit different.

“What if I told you he wasn’t the greatest? That a country would fail to protect its greatest natural resource? That sometimes it is a matter of life and death? That no one can outrun the truth? That you can heal all wounds with a fight song? That the man no one could stop tragically was what if I told you running a marathon is easy?”

The voiceover is matched by some terrible shooting from Scott, finishing up with the Fun Run episode in which he made running a marathon look anything but easy. Steve Carrel, who played Scott on the show, soon retweeted it with one of the nonsense lines Scott says during the basketball episode.

It also sparked this incredible reaction on Twitter.

There have been a lot of great 30 For 30s, but this fictional one would certainly be interesting.

Josh Brolin apologized after sharing an Instagram photo that featured his family paying a social visit to his parents’ house. While everyone is clearly seen wearing masks, including Brolin’s father and step-mother Barbra Streisand, the Avengers actor was chastised by his fans for violating social distancing guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic. After deleting the photo, Brolin posted a video apology where he fully agrees that bringing his wife and young daughter over to his parents’ house was irresponsible, and he thanks his Instagram followers for their passionate responses.

According to Comic Book, Brolin was taking his daughter over to briefly see his parents’ pool (the Deadpool 2 actor doesn’t have one at his house) and not be near them. But he takes full responsibility in admitting that the plan fell apart leading to a longer visit, which is a struggle that parents who are trapped indoors with young kids and grandparents nearby can certainly relate to.

“You know, it’s hard to be honest sometimes,” he continued. “It’s hard to be honest and say, ‘maybe I screwed up’ and I knew that that was in the air, not because of the responses, but because the responses brought me back to my own truth and it’s humbling as hell, man.”

Brolin went on to say that he felt responsible to his “fellow man” and apologized, noting that it was more important to get through this even if that means going “overboard” with safety measures, a message that helped to explain just how serious he really is taking the pandemic before thanking followers for helping to remind him.

While Brolin deleted the photo from the visit, his step-mother Streisand hasn’t done the same. Although, her photo simply shows Brolin’s wife standing safely outdoors while holding an adorable message for the two grandparents, which is way less controversial than a full family gathering around the pool.

For the foreseeable future, tours and one-off concerts will reside on the backburner as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and its worldwide impact. With these tours and concerts nixed, many artists are reluctant to share their completed projects as touring serves as a very important piece of an album’s rollout.

Last month, Cardi B revealed that the lead single from her upcoming album had been delayed as a result of the virus. Kehlani also said her sophomore album would be pushed back from its original April 24 release date due to the virus during her recent Joe Budden Podcast appearance. While artists like The Weeknd, PartyNextDoor, and DVSN have shared quality projects after the widespread cancellation of tours, not everyone is so willing to do so.

Voicing his frustrations on Twitter, JID explained the struggles of attempting to release a project in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. JID is preparing the follow up to his 2018 album, DiCaprio 2, but has seemed to reach a roadblock in its rollout as he tweeted, “this sh*t no fun no mo.”

A fan responded to JID asking if new music was on the way and JID, with a bit of frustration, responded “man idk what to drop, this sh*t all weird now man.”

After a fan posed the idea of JID sharing “slutty rap tunes,” he revealed that the music itself was not the issue at hand, but rather the inability to tour and see his fans enjoy the new music. “Ok we do that, then what, no tour? Not getting to see u guys and celebrate, the content and intention of music is way more important now, I’m tryna line it up perfect cuz it’s hard to create is uncertain times,” he said.

With many artists certain that their best project to date is awaiting release, the question remains is it worth sharing with the world without being able to see the world enjoy it?
